1748  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Calling the Bottom on: September 21, 2014, 10:39:03 AM
This guy is so full of shit. You don't retroactively "call the bottom" five months after it's in at $339...

OP was clearly attempting to state that the fall on August 15 would be the bottom of the current trend and we would start moving up again. Why can't he just admit that he's wrong by $100+ and move on?

This ^

Correct, Bitcoin was 590's early August then on the 15th (date this thread was created) Bitcoin crashed to 450ish.

Thus, this thread was born to stamp that as the bottom.

here is the OP quote

'The supermove from $2 to $266 (133x price appreciation) took 17 months. Extrapolate that with the starting point of $340 in 2014-4-11.'

very stupid to extrapolate like that.
1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 19, 2014, 12:17:44 PM

1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 02:53:34 PM
Has anybody else noticed that on Bitstamp the sellers are mostly small fractional BTC sales while the buyers are in multiple BTC. This tells me that the real money is buying from "scared" small sellers.

sh*t einstein, how do you explain those fat red dildos?

I guess that's another space-time continuum?
1754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 01:33:57 PM
hehe.

I saw a sell off on cex today. a lot of TH sold.

difficulty jumping hard, I guess bitfury is responsible for this, and something is telling me that this is just the beginning. Cheesy

asks are filling fast, so no, this is not a manipulator, but someone who is cashing out.

A one million USD Swap on Bitfinex  Shocked

This. There's opportunity in crisis. Look at the USD swap at Finex.

where can i look at the swaps? charts or whatever ye look at to see this? 1m usd swap = bullish right?

https://www.bitfinex.com/pages/stats

...

no, it is not a bullish sign. someone bet that 440 was the bottom.

thanks,

but if someone bet 1m usd that 440 was the bottom would that loan of 1m usd not ultimately be used to buy btc? or am i getting this wrong?

he has already bought probably.

“Bitcoin is an extremely important innovation, but not in the way most people think. Bitcoin’s real innovation is a globally verifiable proof publishing at a certain time. The whole system is built on that concept and many other systems can also be built on it. The block chain nails down history, breaking Orwell’s dictum of ‘He who controls the present controls the past and he who controls the past controls the future’.”

1759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Winklevoss COIN ETF to push price above 10,000 on: September 14, 2014, 11:36:24 AM

The Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF  is set to go online at the end of 2014.

Is this a guess because the last I heard they were still trying to get the regulators to approve their ETF? Nobody had any idea how long the regulators would take to reach a decision, or if they would approve the ETF at all.

I heard the ETF would not be approved, it would be shot down by the commission

this

OH SH*T! BETTER SELL NOW!!!!!  Roll Eyes

if the future performance of bitcoin is tied to the faith of winkle ETF - > yeah, better sell now.
