1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 19, 2022, 11:25:09 AM
I don't think a coach is going to solve all the problems that PSG has right now. It was obviously a mistake made by PSG to give mbappe this much power. I don't think any player deserves to have the power that he has right now just to stay in the team. He is a great player and I have no doubt about that but he is not the only player on the team. We have seen Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play really well for a long time and none of them has got this type of power at any point of their career because everything was under a system.
Yes, I am also feeling this way coaching is not the only issue they need to settle things off the field as well because giving special treatment to one-star play is creating feud in the team as well and just because of this Zidane is also not going to have PSG job as a coach he is unhappy with PSG management about Mbappe. We have some very legendary players in past and present in most clubs done things on level for all players but here in PSG giving some special hospitality to Mbappe is surely not good for them.

Now, if they want to settle things in an ideal way then surely they need some very special coach who can handle this all very strong but I am not sure who is this right now in the current situation with this all.
1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 18, 2022, 03:55:18 PM
Needless to say, because everyone knows that Bangladesh does not play well in Test matches. But I never thought it would be so bad. I thought Liton-Shakib would be a good partnership but it didn't happen. Mominul has been playing badly since a few Tests. On the other hand, Mushfiqur is not in the team. I think it is normal. Because it is Bangladesh team brother
After beating New Zealand in an away game there were hopes that now they will be some better in this format but sadly it's never happened and they are playing like crap with this all I feel ICC need to think about their status in Test Cricket because it's never been ideal to give a chance team like this they are performing very poorly for many decades and its creating fuse in this test format which is already on the decline in few countries.

ICC need to have eight good teams in the test format and bring all others in league two which give them a good chance for improving their skills and player performance with a good number of matches against weaker sides because playing against quality teams is never going to help them for staying in this format.

Now after the end of two days, Bangladesh is trailing by 112 runs and if they want to avoid inning defeat they have to do this score before going down on 10 wickets.
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: What goes up must come down on: June 17, 2022, 08:19:29 PM
In before sub $20k.
it only take couple of Months before it comes true , even me did not believe what you are saying last year but now it looks like clearly indeed to happen and yes it already happened.
but at least you predicted 20k and not below that level right?  Grin
It actually took over a year because he posted this on may 2021 and the price of btc hit 20k on June the current year but yeah many people including me didn't believe that it will happen, I think that's because we only like btc to increase and increase more but we don't like it when it is dumping so we easily disagree on the topics like this most especially when the price or the market is still in good condition.

The only one that can make us believe is seeing the actual thing that happened but here it is, it did finally happen. The OP might only predict 20k but he can now be able to predict below then it since it is now very possible for the price to nose dive at any moment.
1744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: June 17, 2022, 03:14:11 PM
Of course the best thing to do is dollar cost averaging or dca in short, for both bitcoin and ethereum so that you won't miss any of the opportunity that comes from them. If you will wait for a further drop, there might be no guarantees that it can happen again because the market is already dumped too much and those who have waited for this moment have already started buying, so soon there is only a reversal that will happen.

If you truly wanted for the market to recover, then don't just wait and sit there but do some actions. Help the others that are currently buying now as the more the people that will do it, the faster the recovery is.
DCA is just the right move to do whatever is going on in the market. It could be going down, it could be going up, whatever you do, when you do it with DCA that means you will be able to profit from it. I am not saying that you should always do this, there are situations where you could avoid that, but at the end o the day, you will be able to make a profit from it if you know what you are doing and that is exactly what people are after.

There are ways you can do DCA which would be wrong too, so wait for it to be at a place which would make you profit a lot more in the future, if you just keep on buying every hour, that is not DCA at all, so know how to do it properly.
1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: June 17, 2022, 09:47:08 AM
The best altcoins for me in recent crash market which I think will perform in upcoming bullrun will be. If we observe market the king of altcoins Ethereum ETH which has cross around 4500$ and it's price dump to around 1100$ which is massive dump as well as massive opurtunity to buy for handsome profit. The other altcoin is Binance Coin BNB which also hit around 600$ now it's price is dump to around 200$ so it's also a big opurtunity to buy for passive profit. Solana SOL is also has same situation like them. So if you grab them in this dump you will be very lucky because it will be the profitable ever trade for u.
If I still recall I think eth rise is slow compared with other altcoins but at least it's steady and sure right? And more important is it's much safer, so we can sacrifice a lot of time waiting only for the best moment that can come for this coin. On the other hand we still have bnb and sol.

I am not in the mood to mention more coins so I will just use your list but we already know if what are those coins that also have a good potential other than the coins that we mentioned here. Now back on bnb and sol, the two coins can give us an immediate profit while waiting for our eth investments to get matured. This is not about luck but it's about willingness.
1746  Economy / Economics / Re: Apple wants to replace all passwords with biometrics on: June 16, 2022, 08:52:06 PM
Apple's shift towards biometric based passcodes trends in the opposite direction. It limits their userbase by hardware support. Fewer end users have facial or fingerprint recognition to support the system.

Over the years there have been many successful attempts to fool fingerprint scanners. Biometrics certainly are not foolproof or hack proof.

Does anyone think this will succeed?
This wasn't a new thing but we already have these types of security before and I think that many people don't prefer them but they still prefer the old school way of accessing their device and that is the password and the 4 digit pin. The reason why is the device sometimes doesn't unlock in fingerprint and facial recognition because your face looks different sometimes and your fingers are sometimes wet or sweaty.

If fingerprints can be bypassed then there's a chance that facial recognition can be bypassed as well. There is no safe anymore in this world. I think the only thing we can do is don't store all your funds or important data's on your phone. Just in case it'll be accessed by an unauthorized person.
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto winter setting in.. and how long will it last on: June 16, 2022, 05:44:06 PM

Many crypto exchanges are laying off employees. Recentlycelsius recently has limited the withdrawal
Bill Gates  has called  Crypto, NFTs as Based on ‘Greater-Fool’ Theory
Yet many other well read people like American billionaire businessman David Rubenstein said that crypto would not go anywhere despite the ongoing market correction.

How long will this market correction will continue and where will this stop.. and where will Bitcoin stabalize
But, why will they lay off employees anyway? The income of the exchangers are supposed to go high because many people are using them now to purchase a coin or to trade since volatility got even higher.

Crypto exchanges are offline, not some kind of an offline company that is affected by covid pandemic and as a result they will need to close or  lay off their employees. Bill gates might be correct on the nft part. He is right that those who invest on nft's are fool but not cryptos, crypto investors are wise and smart because they did not choose nft. They know that it's only just another hype. Bitcoin won't ever be stabilized because is its nature to be volatile and we don't know if how long this bear can last.
1748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your take of NFTs? on: June 15, 2022, 08:21:29 PM
The amount of NFT projects spreading to all over the world, makes it cheaper too, which is a problem. I agree with you that there are a lot of NFT projects right now, but doesn't that poses a threat to each other? Think about it, when there is 10 million dollars to go around, if it is 10 projects then each get 1 million equally, if there are 100 then each get 100k.

Of course it is not equally distributed, btu that’s the logic, whereas we are not even investing as much as we used to, which means that NFT projects are getting even less. I do not think that it is really a big deal, I feel like it should be considered as a bad thing and not a big deal anymore.
There are thousands of nft's but that does not downgrade the best nft's, bayc for example. Did the value of their nft's get cheaper? I bet no but they still cost millions of dollars. Same with cryptos, there are so many meme coins and shitcoins but top coins are still shining. It didn't affect the the way the people look at them.

A normal nft or a new nft can't set its price high but it should come in a difficult process first like what the top nfts have done before. That is the reason why most nft's are valueless just like a shitcoin and a meme coin. If you think that the nft that you are going to buy have all an equal quality then it's fine to put an equal amount on each of them.
1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey Shows ADA Is the Most Widely Held Crypto in the Bear Market on: June 15, 2022, 07:12:52 PM
The largest poll so far was the one run by Vitalik Buterin in January 2022, the co-founder of the Ethereum Network, where over 600k people participated. ADA won against BTC there by 42%. BTC came second in the race by 38.4%
This can't be. If we look at anywhere, btc is the one crypto coin that is being talk the most during this bear. Everyone suggested to invest in btc and next to it would be eth but it is surprising that ada still manage to won the competition secretly. There are comparisons about avax and ada but it can be obvious that ada is going to win on that one. I think the reason why ada won is because it more cheaper than the two giant coins.

Ada also has its own fundamentals and that shouldn't be mentioned anymore as many people already knows that. As of now, btc is still declining. If this continues, more and more people are going to pick btc and btc could win this time.
1750  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid omicron version 2.0 monkeypox coming and markets on: June 15, 2022, 09:53:12 AM

So i welcome the moneypox im not scared becouse i know its good for the markets.
I wish that you will answer this question. I can't think of how diseases can be better for the market really. Except you thinking of bear being that it make shade off market volume and bring volatility because of panic but generally it is not one of the factors that should be good for the market. Bear market is not usually a better story for hodlers except for traders.
It seems he already knows the answer because he states some reasons there and he was so bullish about it but he likes to share his insights to us that is why this thread is here. He thinks the new variant is better for the market because he sees that covid brings some positive impact in the market. You know, people stays at home and can discover something that they didn't know before like cryptocurrencies.

There is also stimulus and there are reports that some people use it to invest in cryptos but of course the health is still better over those material things because once it lost there will be no other replacements for it. In case of a bear a hodler can still buy a crypto in addition to what they are hodling.
1751  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 is quite possible this week on: June 15, 2022, 09:08:25 AM
In my opinion, $13K is quite possible this week for Bitcoin. But whales are confuse for dumping more because they know Bitcoin has more value and it is undervalue around $13k. So more dumping means draining their bags so quickly. People are really hungry for Bitcoin in new inflationary era.
Anything is possible in bitcoin, to go really high or to go really low but I don't think this can happen this week. We have stayed in 27/28k for a couple of weeks so I am expecting it to do the same with other lower numbers. The dumps won't be instant but it will go slowly.

Being confused is not in the vocabulary of whales but they already planned their moves in advance. That is important for them because they are professionals. Btc can drop to a much lower price but this didn't remove the fact that btc is still the most valuable coin in the crypto market. They can sell massively only to dump the price but they can always buy more bitcoins once it dumped.
1752  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 15, 2022, 04:35:21 AM
I don't think this is entirely your friend's fault, it means that his 2 friends don't have any knowledge of crypto, if they are advised and follow them. those who do not understand risk but optimistically invest, until they finally experience disappointment. Therefore, in investing in crypto, it is permissible to accept advice from others, but personal analysis must be used to determine our steps
They don't have a knowledge in crypto and that is the reason why they seek advice to his friend but maybe his friend didn't give them a disclaimer that what he taught are not 100 percent guaranteed to work. That was his mistake there and now he is being blamed for their losses but time heals, if they are a true friend they will not exchange that friendship for money that is lost and besides, his friend can do something like paying them and continue to give them a much proper advice.

Now that this happens I think his friends are now going to be more cautious next time and they will now probably learn how to make their own research.
1753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: June 14, 2022, 09:28:10 PM
It is time to cash out your risky asset to fiat currencies, not to stable coins because we don't know what will end with stable coins.

That is reasonable concern and it triggers the massively bank-runs from many cryptocurrency platforms. Market manipulators take advantage of the global financial recession in order to create panic sells, bank runs and more seriously liquidations on projects, institutional positions.

That is insane and it is my first time to witness it.

Anyway, after all of drama, massacres, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology will be here, to serve the human society for a better future, more convenience, better transparency, etc.
Really? And you will be doing this on this situation where the dump is now heavy? I think it's too late for that. Risky assets shouldn't be held this long but they should be disposed as early as possible or when the market is still in green condition. Some stable coins are safe and can be better than fiat, so you shouldn't be afraid to convert them your risky assets.

The last thing that you said, about the purpose of cryptos is the thing that can make this market recover. At some point there will be a demand for them because they can be used for other purposes not just for investments. @OP what happens next is prolly a huge pump as this scenario is similar to what I saw before.
1754  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 14, 2022, 08:38:34 PM
I'm a bit confused, as the graph seems to be missing a reference to bitcoin, yet the correlation is taking place as we speak. Major markets are falling and so is bitcoin - that seems like a prime example where the correlation is strengthening. All financial markets are intertwined and when fear is running wild people just want to convert their assets into a stable form, which is most likely going to be something like us dollars. People are cashing out of shares and crypto assets right now.
There was a moment when it didn't correlated, and that was the discussion, not that it will never be correlated again, which it does right now. Sometimes we just need to learn that recession will always be hitting us differently, and when everyone needs money. Remember that 2008 period and afterwards? Everyone had trouble finding some money to survive, because it was all going to save the world from the banking disaster.

Moreover, I have to say that we are going to live a very tough period, inflation is a big problem but at least we all earn more and we all spend more and we just need to rearrange our needs accordingly, yet recession is trouble because there is no more money.
1755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 14, 2022, 05:51:02 PM
Yesterday I saw that the Chinese state banned bitcoin miners in their country, but not because of environmental factors but maybe other factors so that the Chinese government concluded that bitcoin mining in their country was illegal.
I think you miss the information mate as they ban Bitcoin and any crypto activities in their country for many years, I don't think they have a plan to lift the ban.

https://www.euronews.com/next/2022/04/27/bitcoin-ban-these-are-the-countries-where-crypto-is-restricted-or-illegal2

But their issue is not about environmental concerns, it is all about failing to control Bitcoin and crypto mining. They make their own digital currency instead of having Bitcoin.
I mean they have banned crypto multiple times now, so there is really no shocking results when people mistake it. If you have been here long enough, you would know that they have banned bitcoin and related stuff maybe 10+ times already. That means we need to actually end up with seeing more news about China banning another part of crypto.

It is not like "we straight up ban anything related to crypto" at all, it is more about how they ban exchanges first, then stablecoins, then mining and what not, so each part gets banned separately, which causes drops in price. There is even conspiracy theories about them shorting before they make some news again.
1756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tools. Would you like to spend/live without extra data control? on: June 14, 2022, 12:59:44 PM
I wouldn't go as far as to say that all user actions are monitored today. With fiat, if you pay in cash, you can to essentially undetected (if you want to avoid face identification you can simply wear a mask which is still recommended even if not obligatory). If you are browsing the Internet, you can use VPN if you want to ensure your privacy. Also, nobody has enough resources to literally monitor every user (at least, to do so actively instead of living the job to algorithms). Bitcoin is transparent, so transactions are very traceable. Whether these lead to your real identity is largely a matter of how careful you are. As for me and privacy, I would prefer the companies to know less about me, yes, but I am also not going to go out of my way to achieve it.
P2P is definitely a way to stay hidden but at the same time we are talking about something that is a bit more definitely difficult for sure. I am not saying that we shouldn't do something like that at all, P2P is still a good way to go, but that doesn't mean that we have to use that neither.

I personally feel like government knowing what I am doing and how much money I have is fine by me, KYC is nothing to me at all. Don't get me wrong, I understand others doing it in hiding and that’s fine by me, I am not saying that it's bad, all I am saying is that we shouldn't really focus on anything that would be dangerous for our sake, and that’s fine, p2p or exchanges, both are fine.
1757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 13, 2022, 08:32:19 PM
Neymar Messi Mbappe plays well all the time. Their performance is always at a high level. However, compared to Neymar and Messi, M Bappa is giving away good palys lately. But personally, I think Neymar is always giving away good games. Neymar's contribution to the team was all the time. Although Messi's contribution was moderate, all three are the best players.  However, their performance in the Champions League is very important. The most worrying thing about Neymar is that he is always injured.Messi and Mbappe have a lot of stung.Messi was present in 26 matches and his performance was outstanding.  However, Neymar could not play enough for PSG.  Neymar has played almost half of the season in the last league one. However, it can be very helpful for the team to win the Champions League title.
Since they didn't play too many minutes together, people do not remember the season clearly and just think "have I seen them do amazing jobs together?" and the answer is no, the reality is that the answer is no because they didn't play all three together all that much.

This year, if they are all healthy at the same time for majority of the season, I am sure that we will see these players become amazing together, insanely well. I get that they are much much much older right now, but I remember neymar-suarez-messi trio and how unbelievable they were, like surreal levels of greatness, and I believe Mbappe is way better than suarez, so the potential is there.
1758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing things in Bitcoin rather than in US dollar what this could mean for BTC? on: June 13, 2022, 05:53:20 PM
Generally, in my own view this News could trigger a shift in the mindset of people to start thinking pricing things in value of Bitcoin rather than in dollar.
But, it has been said that they hate btc and its volatility in its price so therefore people will avoid this idea rather than using it to price their goods but there are still solid btc believers that can do this. Usually these things can start to happen when a country start to make btc as a legal tender.

How would you feel if you have (BTC),goods and services other asset  are  no longer priced in US dollar (fiat) and eventually priced in BTC ?
Share your thoughts.
I feel good of course because if I have a btc, it also means that I am a btc enthusiast. I will like it more better if the world turn to btc instead of usd/fiat and other local currencies. Pricing things in bitcoin rather than in u.s dollar could mean a good thing for btc of course because that means that the end of u.s dollar is near. It also means that btc is soon to be made as a legal tender.
1759  Economy / Economics / Re: World has just ten weeks' worth of wheat left after Ukraine war on: June 13, 2022, 03:56:03 PM
As per the United States Department of Agriculture, for the period of 2022-23, Ukraine is estimated to produce 21.5 million tonnes of wheat, which is 35% down when compared to the production for last year. On the other hand, Russian production is estimated to go up by 5% to 80.6 million tonnes. They will be exporting more than half of this export (42.3 million tonnes). These numbers mean that Russia will be exporting 4 times more wheat compared to Ukraine for 2022-23. Considering the increased price levels of wheat ($495 per tonne for April 2022), the Russian government will be receiving a few billion USD from export duties alone.
Like most people predict, they could definitely end up making a lot more profit during this war, the whole sanctions and war thing caused the prices of oil, gas, wheat all gone up, meaning they are making a killing out of this war. However, you have to understand that politically speaking, this gave a message to all other nations, saying "find someone else, Russia is the enemy now" and that is going to hurt them a lot in the next decade or two.

Wheat will be handled one way or another for now, we are going to find wheat either directly from Russia, or from a third party that buys from Russia, like oil. However, if we start to see some eastern bloc, even some Asian nations turn into fully wheat builders, do not be shocked.
1760  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Kill Cryptocurrencies ? on: June 13, 2022, 01:50:58 PM
For trying to adopt the changes made by cryptocurrency for sure it will not kill the industry what you concerned with and most provably people will take it as alternative since investors will not focus on one thing so for sure all of this will get adopted and maybe by the help of their created currency it will help boost the popularity of crypto. So chill out and don't worry about things which didn't give any bad effect yet.
It's true, crypto investors do not look at just one thing and focus on that, we look at multiple things all at once. I mean the NFT world, Metaverse world and DeFi world all started at the same time. People didn't say "oh I am going to just focus on this one", they invested in all of them and stopped investing much eventually in all of them.

Still do invest a bit, but not as hyped as it used to be. So, we need to realize the differences for sure. Doesn't mean that it has to be like that, just means that we could definitely go with this "not focusing on one thing" whenever central banks do something, people could love that, but share their love with other things as well.
