I failed to update the tally on the last fee share. the amount of remaining shares is 21, not 41. i have had a request come to my inbox for 41 shares. i may fulfill the request on behalf of the individual, just to avoid any headaches from disgruntled investors. so the final tally might be 120 sold, not sure yet. if he backs out, there will be 21 shares available

OpenEx needs to raise some money to cover early costs, specifically for servers.
This will probably get deleted, but if you scale properly you shouldn't need any funds for servers. You should be able to get server's for about $20/month and that should be good enough to run a small exchange. Then using all profits then you should be able to move up to $75/month. Then hopefully cloud hosting. I also hope you aren't running the wallets on the same server as the front-end. I hope you are using cold storage, this requires a bit more work but you own that to your customers. Also you should really get your trust feedback worked out. i disagree with pretty much everything you said(except cold storage) |

attention all, i just got done talking with the CEO of WANSEC. they will be hosting OpenEx, and accepting our payments in Bitcoin! the server order has been completed, it should be ready soon!
some details:
dual xeon 5520
72 gb ram
2x 500 gb disk
raid level 1
10 gbps port
this should see us through the first 3 months until we need to externalize the wallets to a second server, freeing the main server for site traffic/overhead. still selling shares to fund start up. right now, i have enough to pay 1 month + setup, but i see there was a very large fee share order today. as soon as that order is received we should be more than covered on the costs. The deal with WANSEC is i offered to pay a little extra per month to cover the volatility in price in the market. they are one of the best hosting providers around though.
