what i cant believe is that we have had an increase of 35% since yesterday and we still have twice the buy orders than we do sell orders....

either way I wont do anything again, not gonna play the roller coaster till we are over 15k satoshi

also I disagree about the hard crash we have tested this ceiling twice now, and almost all the BC's for sale have at one time been bought for over 3k next ceiling will be over 5k
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 21, 2014, 11:21:50 PM
I know it seems cool to hold 1% of the total in a wallet, and although this may sound ridiculous, could all you people holding more than 300k bc's please split them into a few wallets so the wealth seems better distributed

or even better sell them now soI can buy a few more cheap lol

top 100 addresses are starting to accumulate to much of the wealth

hell now that ive written my thoughts down it seems more feasable than It was running around in my head.

Time to find a good dev team.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EFL] Electronic Gulden - the Netherlands [EXCHANGE!!!!]] on: March 21, 2014, 05:23:53 PM
personally I cant stand all these national coins....  there is almost no way for them to succeed unless the dev team has a highly organized team and a lot of money to back them in dispersing the coins fairly and evenly over a large population....  thats not to say there isnt profit to be made from every sucker that buys them up the minute they hit a major exchange.

If and when I create a coin it will be created around a community of no more than 20000 people be 80% premined and distributed to local businesses before PoW starts be PoS at 4%/year and leave 20% to be PoW for people who would like to get some coins to use in that community....

basically just building a local credit union for a small group of people

do my eyes decieve me or do I see a big bottomed bounce forming on Mintpal, not often that you see regular trading patterns form in new cryptcurrencies....
nice to see markets reacting without the influx of mined coins to bog them down.

We all know that the Multipool's going to do great things for BlackCoin, once it's released. However, I don't think everyone realizes how much of a difference it's going to make.

The numbers thrown out for yesterday's (March 19, 2014) mining ranged from 10GH/s to nearly 400GH/s. It's quite safe to assume that the massive dropoff near the end was caused by the frontend issues the site was having (for those that weren't there, the miner pages were entirely inaccessible for the latter portion of the "launch"). Because of that, I'm going to make a somewhat conservative (depending on how you look at it) estimation of 200GH/s if the pool was as polished as the new version is reported to be.

If that 200GH/s was maintained for a solid 24 hour period, that would net somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 and $1,000,000 worth of altcoins, according to http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency. Let that sink in for a second. BlackCoin's current market cap is roughly $1,300,000. That's a ton of buy orders.

hold on tour hats my friends its gonna be a wild ride

morons, you think that a 100% growth per week is bad =P
watch the trends, and stop looking at the peaks like they are the true value, 5000 is just a ceiling where those that are happy with a 500% return are happy with.. we will see this again whenever those that have made their profits cash out, and it is necessary.  if all the bag holders just held this coin would die as soon as speculation ended.

remember why you got in yourself, to make profit.  Dont be upset just because some others, "the ones that bought under 1500" decided to cash out.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 18, 2014, 02:03:49 PM
dont worry about P&D, either
1 just hold and dont look at the value of your coins during pumps, just watch average growth or
2 sell whenever price rises to quickly (careful at the beginning though because a large buy group could alter the price quickly speculating on a new plateau, though anything over 50% growth in a day is probably artificial), then buy back in when they dump, you should be able to add to your bc stash if your careful and have an iron gut.

1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 18, 2014, 01:54:21 PM
lets just keep it trucking along at 5-7% per day, well be at a dollar in just over a year....
Im considering this as the organic growth amount atm "until it changes of course" with a plateau at 3 dollars/bc, though im sure there will be many 100% growth and 50% loss days along the way.
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 17, 2014, 03:34:43 AM

no point the vote ends in 35 minutes. it was only a 45 minute vote! http://strawpoll.me/1327642  GET YOUR VOTE IN 35MINUTES LEFT

If we use the largest volume exchange and it's done once every 24 hours people will set their sell orders a little higher around the expected buy time, which means less bc (and incentive) for the miners in the multipool, although if the price goes up then this may be negated... such a dilemma.

The whole point is to mine the most profitable coins, sell them at the best prices possible, and buy the most BlackCoin possible with the proceeds. To do that, whatever coins are being mined should be sold immediately as each block matures, on whatever exchange is currently offering the highest price, and the BlackCoin should be immediately bought off of whatever exchange is offering the lowest price to maximize the number of BlackCoins going to the miners. This avoids having to dump massive amounts of whatever coin is being mined at once and gets a higher, more consistent price, and it avoids having to buy BlackCoin in large quantities at once for inflated prices. Obviously, all the buying and selling should be as automated as possible, and the only way to avoid having people game the system is to have the buying and selling happen in small quantities spread over time/exchanges to get the best ROI for the miners.

I also think it is very important to not tell anybody what coin is being mined or where they are being sold until after the coins are sold and the pool has moved on to the next coin, and to not tell anybody what exchange the BlackCoins are being bought from until after they are bought. If people know what coins are being mined, there is nothing stopping big holders of those coins from dumping their holdings and lowering the price, knowing that soon after, the multipool will be dumping those coins and they can buy back in at a much cheaper price. The inverse applies with buying BlackCoins… if people know where they are going to be bought and when, they are simply going to put up overpriced sell orders because they know that the pool has to buy them at whatever price they can get them at, and the miners end up with less coins for their time. I’d much rather have the price of BlackCoin rise slowly across all exchanges than be a roller coaster on one exchange. Slow and steady benefits the miners, which is what I kinda thought the whole point of the multipool is supposed to be. Roller coaster only benefits traders and pump ‘n dumpers, and I say fuck them… they have a hundred or more other shit coins that they can do their thing with.

TL;DR – Mined coins should be sold as blocks mature and on whatever exchange has highest price, Blackcoin should be bought in a continuous process from whatever exchange has the lowest price, and none of the information regarding what coins are being mined, where they are being sold, or where the Blackcoins are being bought should be made public knowledge until after the fact.

+1

Well-stated. Worth heeding.

+1+1. I am disappointed by all the people who voted for manually buying the coins on the highest vol exchange every 24 hours (72% of the votes atm)... so dumb... kinda shows how many people really don't understand how this is supposed to work.
+1  last thing we want is create small pump and dumps every 24 hours
