PayPal may regret this decision. I don't think they will be used to having to check for double spends and whatnot or even hard-forks or their client losing connection to the network.

Over a year ago I actually started importing the blockchain and doing just that, but it requires the full blockchain imported into MySQL or your preferred database.

The code was a perfectly legit vanity generator. The pre-compiled one included a malware. Edit: The source code version is clean and has nothing scary. I was hoping to find something in the compiled binary and found this, so it's very clearly malware: /Users/satoshinakamoto/Desktop/BitVanity Hacked/BitVanity/main.m/
VanityGen != BitGen. Please quote properly next time to avoid any confusion.

Or just ran away with the coins?

When I made this thread I actually had dice games in mind, as I had profited just a bit, but after I made this thread I actually lost about 45 bucks, increasing as the price goes up. I've actually recuperated almost all of it, but certainly was not easy.

Who included that TX in a block? I thought dust TXes are not mined.

Some cryptocoins have addresses that are the same as Bitcoin's.

You must've copy/pasted it from the Qt client, it's been known to add the -000 at the end for some reason, not sure if it's an error, or intentional though.

Hi, Can someone tell me if this transaction is valid? (except the fact that it's a double spending attempt)
Which?

On JD on 49.50% I had 24 consecutive losses once.
Playing only lo or hi? Alternating between both means higher chance of losing depending on your luck.

I had 21 consecutive loss on satoshidice before. I'm bad gambler.
On the same number or different? I am talking about specifically playing a single number where you have X consecutive losses.

I've personally had...either 13 or 14 CONSECUTIVE losses on coinroll.it

I just wanted to get some feedback on the highest loss streak you've had on coinroll.it on ~50%. I wrote a small application that told me that using the martingale system and a balance of 0.40 and bet of 0.00001BTC I am fine for 14 losses, and hoping that the 15th bet will be a winning one, which isn't guaranteed.

so, for a solo miner using bitcoin-qt, that decide what goes into a block? is it configurable? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) It's not. You need to modify the client from the source.

Maybe somebody else created a keypair for that address? I know it is very unlikely, but it could happen. So I would spend any money in that address and not use it anymore. Just in case.
To all intents and purposes it couldn't happen, if all software is functioning correctly, any more than all the atoms in someone's underwear could just simultaneously decide to move three feet to the left. Quantum mechanically you could argue that it's possible but unlikely, but that's just sophism (or more accurately fine comedic writing). But, of course, software can have bugs. Could there be a flaw in the random number generation which makes a collision plausible? Sure, there could be. Still, I don't believe it, given the evidence in the blockchain. Still, if OP has not divulged his address, how could the anonymous sender know his address? Duh, the blockchain is a public ledger, the question is why him specifically, and not somebody else?

I wish it was, it's my Wireless provider that's been crap. I live in a rural area temporarily and the internet is just crap, I ain't even getting my promised speeds.

I am not greatly familiar with the source, but there is transactions priority related to coin age, tx size and fee size. But generally, the higher the fee, the higher the incentive to include a transaction in a block.
