Svi vi koji ste u Roobet.com kampanji ne zaboravite da morate ažurirati svoj signature kod, ako to već niste učinili.

New Signature, please update yours ASAP!

We are removing the Christmas tree and instead adding a Snow man as the winter (in many parts of the world) is far from over. We've also added info about the incredible milestone of over 3,000,000,000 bets placed on Roobet.
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Auction - Bid on a prize where 98% of each bid is added to the prize. on: January 12, 2023, 01:24:22 PM
That's too bad. I thought all you'd need was more players. Will you keep it on Github? I'm copying the link here just in case someone wants to fork it later. For the record: would that be allowed?

Yes, it's open-source and public domain. I'll keep it on GitHub if anybody wants to fork in in the future.

That's good. So, even though the project may not be actively developed anymore, it will be available for anyone to use, modify, or build upon through its open-source status, which could lead to its continued development in the future by the community. I think it still has value as a reference and starting point for new projects.

Do you have any plans to continue development of the project in the future? Perhaps in a different form?

Thank you everybody for your feedback.

I understand your concerns about building trust, but I believe that with the right approach, your website can be successful. Building trust takes time and effort, but it's not impossible, and the best way is by providing value. Additionally, making your site more appealing by creating a better UI design and other user-friendly features will help improve the user experience and make the site more appealing to potential players. You need to make sure that your game is fun and engaging, and if it's not, then consider making some changes. There are a lot of things you can do to improve the user experience. Have you considered some themes that might make the experience more interesting? For example, Pirate Treasure or Dragons Chest could work well. Or maybe even the Heist of the Century. These are just a few ideas that I came up with, but there are many more.

But at the end, it's your call and your decision will be the best for your project. I hope my suggestions have been at least somewhat helpful to you.
1765  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 11, 2023, 10:09:57 AM
Why not allow all games to be tested without logging in? I tried few of the games that accept games in demo mode and speed is decent. I think it could be better but the experience is good enough for a demo. What do you plan to do next? Would you sell it or have a few select to test before officially launching the platform?
It looks like for some games you have to log in and create an account, but to play Plinko games you don't need to enter the casino and create an account, I think it's safer to test the game without having to have an account there and it's open to the public. For example, I tried playing Plinko.

In fact, this is a demo mode that is presented for testing the script, but as far as I understand, in order to get a demo balance to continue the game, you need to register and try to play by activating the demo mode and requesting a demo balance, but you do not need to make deposits.
yes, that's why I tried playing plinko and started betting there, I didn't see any funds there, but strangely, I could bet, but in other games I had to create an account and log in to play, I thought this should be open to the public without having to register and at least all users have a demo balance to test the game

From what I can tell, the demo site enables users to access and play almost any game without the need for a login or maintain a balance. Maybe the dev changed it recently. Anyway, I'm going through all the available games right now so we'll see how it goes.

In that case in a regular auction how do we play it? You call 2 then I call 3, then you call 4. Basically you are adding more 2 with the previous call. So it's accumulation. I was expecting the same but it seems it's not the case.
In a regular auction, you only pay your last bid. Here, you pay every bid. I don't think it really matters, as long as it's clear.

Yes. This is more like a form of all-pay auction, such as the Tullock auction, in which all participants submit a bid and the outcome is determined by the highest bid. However, unlike a traditional auction, in this type of auction both the winning and losing bidders are required to pay the amount of their submitted bids.
1769  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 10, 2023, 06:05:53 PM
I like how this casino looks, but unfortunately I don't have money and time to seek licenses and hire people to run support and coding for me.

What you're selling is the base, a shell of a casino. Real casino is everything that happens in the background like cold wallets, deposits and withdrawals, verification. You'd have to set limits for people from certain countries or face charges.

Even with the site built this is not an operation for one person.

I agree. It is important to note that establishing the necessary infrastructure to properly operate a casino can be a significant undertaking, both financially and in terms of time and resources. The critical components of a functioning casino such as financial transactions, customer support, security and fraud prevention and compliance with regulations are all areas that need to be carefully considered and implemented, and can be a daunting task for even the most experienced professionals in the field. Without these components in place, it will be difficult to attract players and generate revenue.

In addition, there is a lot of preliminary work about the casino business that may not be immediately obvious such as banking relationships, licensing requirements, establishing the business model and financial projections, hiring qualified personnel to run all aspects of the operation and more. It is my understanding that this is the reason why many of the popular online casinos are not operated in-house, but rather by third party companies who specialize in this industry.
1770  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 04:44:40 PM
A bunch of wacky scripts were found by my current AV, forgot the names 'cause I just immediately let the AV settle it. I will now wipe my system and install a new one.

It's unfortunate that you have to resort to wiping your system clean. Conducting a comprehensive forensic examination of your system would be extremely beneficial in identifying the cause of this issue. Not only could this information assist you in recovering your funds, but it could also serve as an informative resource for other members of the community to avoid similar incidents in the future.

Unfortunately Yes. While I have another device, it's a Chromebook that's used by my wife. It doesn't necessarily support the Apps I required to run the bounty campaign management service. So I'm stuck with my one and only PC.

Even when utilizing a single device, there are still various options available to ensure the security of your assets. One option is to set up a dual boot system, another is to use a Live OS from a USB drive or other external media, and as a final alternative, you can also consider installing free virtual PC software and use a secondary OS that way.
1771  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 04:19:29 PM
I can understand this as julerz12 was doing the same, using the computer with electrum installed and at the same time using it for other purposes too. Most of us do that, don't we?

I hope that is not the case, otherwise all of the good practices and safety tips that have been mentioned repeatedly by members here would be in vain.

Anyways, what if we uninstall the electrum wallet from the PC and install it again if we want to send the funds? We can still receive funds if the wallet is not installed on the computer. (for those who do not have a spare computer)

2nd option, use a password-protected wallet file, Malware can't decode the code, isn't ?

Both of your tips are equally bad. Let's assume that your system is infected with malware at some point, it can be difficult to know the extent of the damage it may cause. For example, the malware could potentially access and alter the contents of your clipboard, or even include a keylogger to record your keystrokes. This means that if you have ever copied or typed your password or seed phrase while the malware was present on your system, hackers may be able to gain access to your coins. Uninstalling the wallet or adding a password will have ZERO impact on protecting your coins.

Thanks for you advise. I've a little question. If I face any problem where should I creat my thread  ?

If you're facing a problem and need help, there are several places where you can create a thread to get assistance. Depending on the nature of your problem, some options include:

  • Bitcoin Discussion
    - General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem that doesn't fit better elsewhere.
  • Bitcoin Technical Support
    - Questions regarding issues with Bitcoin Core, nodes, the Bitcoin network, transactions, and addresses.
  • Meta
    - This section is for the forum related discussions.
  • Beginners & Help
    - This section is most important for the new members.
  • Off-topic
    - Here you can ask questions that do not belong elsewhere.
  • Altcoin Discussion
    - Discussion of cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.

Please keep in mind to include as much detail as possible about your problem when creating a thread. Also, most of the community based help is provided by volunteer members, so be courteous and respectful when asking for help.
1773  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 12:07:07 PM
I know someone who got hacked automatically transferred the balance in his MetaMask to another wallet. With what happened to you OP, I'm now aware that it could happen with Electrum as well. It would be better to wipe your devices. It might not be the only one infected.

It seems like you are implying that the Electrum wallet software may have some security issues, however there are no such indications at this time. There are probably millions of Electrum users worldwide, and if there were any security issue with any version of the software, it would have likely garnered significant attention and be widely talked about on the internet by now. Moreover, Electrum's open-source nature allows for many independent developers to rigorously inspect each new version after its release, ensuring the software's security.

Even assuming the OP's story is true, there are many possible ways someone could steal his coins. For example, the OP could have left his computer unlocked while he was gone. He could have been infected with malware at any point over the course of many months and even years before he created his new wallet, or the thief could have used a keylogger or clipboard malware to steal the seed phrase. The OP also said that he doesn't use any AV other than the standard windows defender, which is also a big security risk and a lapse in judgment.
1774  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign managers acting as Escrow on: January 10, 2023, 10:33:10 AM
In situations like this, it's important for individuals to understand that being a campaign manager or an escrow carries a lot of responsibility, and they should be fully committed to being transparent and accountable for their actions. This includes taking every precaution to ensure the safety and security of the funds, as well as being proactive in identifying and addressing any issues that may arise. Whether they're just managing a campaign or safeguarding funds, they must be fully accountable for their actions, particularly when it comes to handling other people's money. It's important for them to have a plan in place for how to handle any potential problems or issues that may arise, such as how to return funds to their rightful owners in the event of a hack or other breach of security. It's not enough to just have good intentions, actions and practical measures need to be taken to ensure the safety of the funds, and to show that the responsibilities as a campaign manager or an escrow are being taken seriously.
1775  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 10:08:58 AM
I believe it is crucial to base our decisions on whether someone deserves a negative tag on his profile on verifiable facts, rather than allowing personal emotions to play a role. These emotions or personal beliefs can be validly discussed, but should not be the basis for our judgment. This approach is the only way to ensure that the Trust system is fair and impartial to all members, rather than allowing personal affection to create a double standard in our decision making.

Given that there is at least one party who has been damaged (financially) and holds the OP responsible for the missing funds (which, in my view, is a reasonable position), it would be callous not to side with them, as they are the clear victims in this situation. Whether the missing funds were the result of hacking or the OP's deliberate actions, we don't have enough evidence to conclude either point at this time, these facts remain unchanged.

YoMix    2023-01-09        SCAM ALERT. Do not put any escrow to any campaign managed by julerz12. Said it was 'stolen' after few hours after transfer. SCAMMER

Now, I don't think that julerz12 had any intentions of stealing the funds for personal gain (it's just my personal opinion though and I could be wrong), and I feel really bad that he's in this tough spot. Nevertheless, regardless of his intent, he still bears a personal responsibility as a bounty manager and an escrow and, in my opinion, must accept the consequences of his negligence. The only path for redemption and vindication for him is to collaborate with the companies that entrusted him with their funds, in order to repay the debts. In doing so, he can demonstrate accountability, and eventually earn back the trust of the community.

also some downside also this forum have ,
like we cannot question other questions because this is sepcifically for crypto , but this forum have a off topic board also but it takes too long to get answers from people

I'm sorry, but that is not accurate. You can freely ask questions unrelated to crypto. The boards deal with a range of topics: Economics, Trading Discussion, Politics & Society, Beginners & Help or Off-topic. There is even a Serious discussion board.

I'm not sure what you mean by "it takes too long to get answers." Could you provide some examples?

or we cannot make members list , we like to read people like your subscriber

<snip>
If you look at my previous posts and current posts, you will see that my current posts are constructive, but I am trying my best to post more constructively.

Your dedication to being more constructive is truly admirable. Keep up the stellar effort!  Roll Eyes (I'm being sarcastic, by the way.)

And to prove my argument:
I just took a look at your post history, as I wanted to help you out, but I realized I'd already done a review for you (usernames escape my mind quite easily).  Lately you've been posting large images with very little writing, and before you took an extended break from the forum you were making posts of uniform length--that's an indication that you were trying to meet a character count quota for a campaign or bounty, and the content in those posts was sub-par.

You might well get merits from other members, but my advice to you is to put far more thought and effort into your posts.  Since your grasp of English clearly isn't that great, that's the only thing that's going to compensate for all the grammar and other language issues you've got going on.

Didn't mean to piss on your parade, just trying to give you some solid advice.

... and to ''pray Fajr'' every day.

You do realize that there are other religions besides Islam, right? I fully respect the diversity in the world. However, it is best to keep our personal religious beliefs and practices to ourselves, so we don't inadvertently cause offense or conflict with others. No offense intended, of course.
1779  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: January 08, 2023, 11:45:25 AM
Ofcourse we can get it from their merit counts but if there is another rank with 2500 merits or 5000 merits criteria which will give the recognition for their contribution and also differentiate from 1K members, anyway I don't think theymos is interested in adding ranks but I just expressed what I would like to see.
I sure hope theymos doesn't consider adding more ranks. So many people take this forum way too seriously (just remember those silly self-congratulatory topics that are thankfully not so popular anymore) and adding more ranks will just create extra craziness in that regard.

I completely agree! The idea of more ranks just seems like it would create more unnecessary competition and hierarchy on the forum. I think we should avoid these pitfalls and continue building a community where everyone feels welcome. It's important to remember that at the end of the day, we're all just people sharing and discussing ideas online and trying to learn from each other. It's always better to focus on the content of our posts and discussions rather than getting caught up in the ranks and status symbols.
1780  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: January 08, 2023, 10:49:19 AM
only needed 10Merits for next rank.

I wanted to help you by reviewing your post history, but I noticed that your posts have not shown much improvement compared to a few years ago when you were kicked out from the Bitvest campaign for shitposting and spamming the forum.

Shitposting legends Subbir and Negotiation have been kicked out of the campaign due to, well, shitposting.

Most of your recent posts after a long period of inactivity have been useless reports in the Bounties (Altcoins) board and a few merit hunting posts in the WO thread. These posts do not seem to be very useful or contribute significantly to the community. Consider putting more effort into your posts, especially if your English skills are not as strong. This will likely improve your chances of receiving positive feedback from other members.
