Now that miners-pool got hacked please join us at Hardcore. hashrate is growing rapidly I can tell Wink

Lets hope we see a block find now that its around 26% of the network hash.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — IMPORTANT UPDATE on: April 22, 2014, 09:41:42 PM
Could use some help at https://nlg.hardcoreminers.com/.
6 Hours since last block :/

Wow that is some seriously bad luck, the pool is on the right blockchain still.

Doesn't make sense, hardcore miners had 10% of the network hash for the last 6 hrs. +- 57 blocks in 24 hours.

This means that the normal chain also splitted again!
My windows wallet at home was always in sync with blockchain. The wallet on pool got forked. Now they are both.
I wonder how many other people are on the wrong one. I was connected to 17 other nodes!

Hey Hardcore,

It might be possible you have a incorrect node you looking at somewhere , I know you were doing your own config at one stage and also you changed firewall rules? Maybe just give it a once over and see.

I enjoy mining at your pool and will switch back when you have found the cause.

1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — It's back. Fair distribution. IMPORTANT UPDATE on: April 16, 2014, 01:27:46 PM
u can post the cold storage adress aswell right?

I gotta admit before it was NLG community disturbing the EFL forums with the copying of the Spaincoin text and amount of coins, now it's the EFL community disturbing the NLG forums.

Both coins will lose if this carries on.

Adding to what I said before it now looks like EFL have taken it a step further by calling out NLG on there own website... Lets hope they remove that because if they ever copy NLG with anything like using SMS verification for Dutch citizens to claims coins it will look very bad.

Quote from article

"That aside we would also like to point out that our team has decided not to announce every new idea or project we start working on right away. Speculation is bad for cryptocurrency (yes, we know it's great for daytraders). But in general, we choose not to announce all of our idea's and future projects untill we are 100% sure that they will be finished. This might result in less news from our side, but at least this way we can make sure nobody ends up being dissapointed. Also there's Guldencoin watching our every move...they sure seem to be enjoying our idea's so far."

It's funny because guldencoin team said something similar on NLG ANN if memory serves me correctly about keeping information back until ready.

Normally when you point a finger at something you have 3 fingers pointing back at you.

1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — It's back. Fair distribution. IMPORTANT UPDATE on: April 16, 2014, 08:31:34 AM
So what happened to the old "foolproof" distribution system and NLG that have already been handed out by people that abused it?

There is no reason why NLG and EFL can't both be winners here. Nothing is foolproof, any system can be manipulated but we all know if this was called Greekcoin this post would not come through.

What people like yourself did made the NLG team know there system needed improving and they have come to the party and made it better. Gratz you scored some extra NLG. Smiley

I just have to point out what a nice dev team this coin has - https://guldencoin.com/who-we-are/

Being able to look up who is behind the project makes this coin a real deal !  Wink

I have to agree on this point. With all the scam coins and exchanges that are taking place weekly if not on a daily basis this is really a big deal!
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think the shitcoin flood is ending ... on: April 09, 2014, 07:06:44 AM
Out of all the country coins, I think there is one that might actually be serious and that is NLG , guldencoin. They have just partnered up with a litebite a dutch site that does Euro/NLG pairing.

They have also got the teams full identity on there homepage which is great considering all the scam coins and exchanges that have come recently.

https://guldencoin.com/who-we-are/  --> This is really refreshing to see.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — It's back. Fair distribution. on: April 07, 2014, 07:19:48 AM
What a great idea cloning EFL, seems that you're really innovative. My vote goes to EFL.

hahahaha thanks for the laugh.
and very true btw

I took it upon myself to do some research into this and provide some details about the above comments that fly around. You can use the below to formulate your own conclusions. I can understand people have invested mining time and money into both coins so there will be emotions on both sides of the argument. Just using facts below.

EFL, same supply and 50% premine as other country coins and at one stage on there website was using the exact same text as Spain coin.

NLG, 1.7 Billion coins (Unique specifications) to other country coins, 10 % premine.

The Dutch 'Who are we' is online Smiley
https://guldencoin.com/nl/about/

Impressive team Guldencoin. At least we can come get you if this was intended as a scam.lol This will give the people a lot more confidence.

I am going to support this coin 100%.
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — It's back. Fair distribution. on: April 06, 2014, 09:06:33 AM
@Magnet, at least you will be able to help out the other 16.7 million Dutch citizens that won't be able to get free Gulden because the EFL distribution only caters for 210 000. Smiley

After coinmarket.io I can see a scam from a mile away. Wink

Some people redeemed thousands of Guldencoins using proxies and IBAN generators, so much for "fair distribution".
Many of them are dumping their redeemed coins on Bittrex so Guldencoin is dropping like a brick.

Have you been able to personally do this yourself?

Yeah, it was easy. Only redeemed 2100 because it's worth shit anyway.

Sad

Scam vs Flawed system... this sucks, so you managed to claim 21 times?

It was clear to me EFL was setup as a scam but I think they changed their minds after all the press they were getting but like you mentioned it was such a copy cat of all the other country coins they didn't take into consideration the population of the Netherlands compared to Iceland.

NLG will need to shutdown their system and sort it out if there is people abusing it, NLG looks like a honest bunch who have not get the right checks in place. They have clearly worked out the right amount of coins needed and still 90% of NLG can function for investment for miners, investors, merchants, businesses and consumers alike.

EFL just won't work as a currency where NLG has a chance with it's high supply and liquidity, people won't mind parting with coins for goods as they can easily get more, this won't be the case with EFL with mainstream adoption.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: April 05, 2014, 12:24:53 AM
Yep, read the posts, know some ppl think it's a scam and pointless, but I still gotta try....

Kiur, where is my 2.340124 BTC that I tried to withdraw on Fri Feb 28 2014?

No transaction ID, same old story.
I've sent you multiple emails, PMs, but I hear nothing back.

If you need time to return my money, then let me know before I escalate through official channels.

Might as well escalate. This has been going on for 2 months.

TBH I actually want to create a scam exchange, I mean with other scam exchange no one had the chance to even find out who the real owners were. Here people even know it's Kiur Koster and perhaps Kenneth B. This is just sending a great message to everyone else that the crypto community are a bunch of pussies.

You can even leave your real identity and it doesn't matter

Great job to Kiur for stealing your bitcoins.

Kiur please leave the code to your exchange so I can create one and just scam the fuck out of this crowd and know they can't and won't do anything about it.
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EFL] Electronic Gulden in the Dutch media on: April 04, 2014, 11:22:27 AM
Gulden Coin , the new NLG looks far superior as a currency, EFL looks to be setup for trading and pump and dumps.

EFL only has 21 million coins, how is that supposed to be used in a widespread marketplace where merchants and business is supposed to accept it as a currency, no one will spend it for
goods and services unlike the new Gulden where that can easily happen.

Lol, so actually you're saying Bitcoin (also 21 million coins) won't make it too?  Grin

I think bitcoin is failing as a currency, as a currency is intended to be used. 21 Million is just not enough coins to go mainstream and if the price shoots up to $2000 USD who is actually going to spend it?

I am sure if you go to any of the merchants accepting bitcoin you will be surprised to find they not getting that much business from it.

wow, finally a country coin without a scammy 50% premine.lol

This one could actually do well.

Love the design btw!
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 31, 2014, 06:11:41 PM
I see the question about bitcoins being deposited and withdrawn after the "hack" has still not been answered by coinmarket.io

If it was me I would of called the cops A LONG time ago, it's pretty clear the only reason this is ongoing is because someone caught Kenneths details before he changed it.
I am sure Kiur is just as pissed off with Kenneth about that mistake.

Is the Digibyte team helping the community with coinmarket.io scam?

Lets play a guessing game.

Where would Kiur be today if someone didn't catch Kenneths details before he changed the registration details for coinmarket.io ?

Great to see some progress being made now, hope ya'll get your btc back. I would personally have to say sorry to coinmarket.io if they do and I think a lot of other people on these forums but it's all about diem btc.

Fortunately I have no coins on the exchange to worry about although i did hear good things about it before all this.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 26, 2014, 01:15:02 PM
Oh man, coinmarket you had me in stitches reading all this. You have made it so obvious in a funny way that this exchange is a complete fucking scam. Brilliant man Brilliant!

I also agree that the community isn't going to follow through on these guys , I didn't have any coins stolen here otherwise I would.
