Of course, with good teamwork, Arenal was able to turn around the situation that had been left behind in the first half to excel in the second half. agree with you that Arsenal have proven to the world of football that they need to be the reckoning for other events.
so far Arsenal have topped the table for a while ;

I became less interested after the first half of Arsenal and West Ham but I was later ginger by the first equalizing goal by Saka after they cancel that of Nketiah at beginning of the match. That became a motivation for Arsenal and Martinelli had the second one until it reach Nketiah, Arteta would be proud of his decision by making him replace Gabriel Jesus. If Arsenal could win their match against Brighton, it will even catapult them further away from Manchester City that has been a competition but the last I checked, Arsenal lost at their home to Brighton, I hope they do the same time to balance the points if they win in Brighton's home.

I think Manchester City has lots to do but seeing that they have 2 outstanding matches to meet up with New castle, they still have hope and the more I look at the upcoming two matches against Everton and Leed United, they will surely secure that 6 points easily without any doubt.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 26, 2022, 11:28:25 AM
Snip.
I just looked at their statistics and wow! They have won 9 out of their 10 matches. I'm counting both friendlies, cup and league matches but that's a great score! They didn't lose a game since the game against Liverpool on August 31st. If they can keep up after this World Cup break, they could really become a champion this year. I know it's a bit early but
Newcastle initial move has been very good, winning 9 of the last 10 games is a very good record for Newcastle who are in a transitional stage after being acquired by new owners.
Of course the good record that has been achieved has not completely made the club owner happy, the January transfer market will be played by Newcastle, who have abundant money to bring in several top players. I think Newcastle have set a target for the end of the season, they should at least be able to secure a ticket to the Champions League.

Out of the 10 matches, it was 7 they actually won and draw 3 matches in the Premier League, though that is still an incredibly great result since they never encounter any loss match from that 10, the drew matches at least have 1 point to the aggregate they are struggling for and that has helped them stay closer to the top, Arsenal is just 7 points ahead and Manchester City is just 2 points away, and if they can win Leicester City today (not likely), they can stay ahead of Machester City until their next match.

This was how Tottenham kicked Arsenal from their place last season, I hope Newcastle wouldn't repeat the same thing because their comeback is just strong and heavy if compare to what Manchester City has been playing which was even closer to Arsenal from the beginning of the season.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 26, 2022, 10:29:34 AM
the Real Madrid vs Valladolid match and the Barcelona vs Espanyol match seem a bit easy to predict. because the match should be a fairly easy game for Barcelona and Real madrid. But I am a little interested in the match between Villareal vs Valencia. Villareal is ranked 9th in the standings with 21 points acquired. while Valencia is ranked 10th in the standings with 19 points acquired. I think this match will be a little interesting. and it will also be a fierce match. but what's unique is that when Villareal fights Valencia, the match always ends with one of them losing or winning and rarely a draw.

Looking at their recent 5 matches, one can easily tell that Barcelona and Real Madrid may easily win those matches and not just that alone, they are both teams that are currently leading on the table, they are good structurally to beat Valladolid and Espanyol but I am just concerned that the past record is just small margin, Barcelona and Real Madrid couldn't give them much goals which mean they were always difficult for them, just that they always come true, who knows this time, they wouldn't succeed like they used to? judging from the goals they scored against them, at least Espanyol wouldn't struggle from relegation eviction.

Crypto gambling keeps growing faster than Fiat gambling, it's good to see that the masses now favours crypto for gambling than using Fiat but the only issue I have with crypto is the security, data breach and co so I want to know if hiding my IP on a crypto gambling website is secure? I am going with a premium sub of express VPN. If you think otherwise please tell me.

With the things you described above, I don't believe there is worse money than fiat, probably you don't know much about cryptocurrencies. If you use Fiat to fund a casino that request KYC and perhaps one day, they got leaked and data bridge, don't you think that is the fastest means you can become publicly exposed to the internet and the rest of the world? Fiat is more prone to the above mentions than cryptocurrency.

However, there are some constraints on how crypto can protect you from casino funding, particularly when you use casinos that require your identity to be captured, which already breaks the pseudo-anonymity crypto gives you. But, in a scenario where you used a non-KYC casino and funded with Bitcoin, nobody can trace you or know who you really are in case there is a data bridge or when your documents are made public online.

Quote from: Velvet78
Arsenal are good at maintaining a solid team performance. Jesus' absence is not good of course but they are accustomed to play without him indeed. There was a long time period that he didn't score even for once. But Arsenal still continued to defeat their opponents by having productive games as well. This is enough proof for the strong bond between the players.

Arsenal coach is doing a great job in this season, that made many people to believe that Arsenal will have something special to embrace in this premier league competition. Their performance has moved the team to first position in the premier league table that surprised many people, because last season they didn't come close to second position before the end of the tournament. I don't think, Arsenal need new players in this season, because their players are doing wonders in all their position to ensure they break record in this season to embrace the title.
Arteta still has a lot of work to complete before the season ends, one of which is that he must be able to keep Arsenal at the top of the standings until the end of the season. Arsenal's form has improved from previous seasons, Arteta has done a very good job this season. The arrival of several quality players has made Arteta's job easier, but Arteta must not be satisfied with what has been achieved since the start of the season as the competition for the EPL trophy still continues.
Manchester City is one of the competitors that Arsenal must watch out for, a distance of five points may still be pursued if Arsenal are unable to maintain their performance.

Since Gabriel Jesus' injury, there seems to be a problem with Arsenal. The forward players, Saka, Martinelli, and the entire team are good, but Nketia had already replaced Jesus in most recent matches, and the club friendlies Arsenal played with Lyon, Milan, and Juventus were, in my opinion, below average. This could be because the key wingers have yet to return to World Cup. We'll have to wait and see how they match up with West Ham tonight. Given West Ham's standing and their perfomances, Arsenal could be able to take advantage of that, and Nketia can show his value by scoring some goals.

Barcelona has suffered a lot since Lionel Messi left the team to PSG, but is like their coach has trained some potential players that are doing well in this season. Looking at their performance in this season show, that they are almost get it right to win this season trophy to prove to people that they have a talented coach who don't know how to give up on some challenges in football careers. Barcelona performance will really shock many people this time around because, they have learned a lot from their past mistake never to allow such mistake to happen again.

Are sure you are on the right track or know the latest updates? This is Champions League thread and the Barcelona I know is already out from the moment they concluded the group stage, they only manage to secured 7 points leaving them behind Inter Milan, and not because Messi wasn't around, it was the coach responsibility, he failed to manage his resources properly because with Messi been on injury on important matches, the Barcelona of then often come out greatly. However, I must admit that they are doing greatly in Satander if that's what you mean but there is a thread independently to make that kind of discussion as Laliga, not in this thread.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 25, 2022, 01:03:43 PM
Since the round of 16 will take place over two leg, it is difficult to guess which team between them will qualify for the next round considering PSG and Bayern Munich are teams that have equally good strengths. In terms of chances, I have the same view as you that Paris Saint Germain has a greater chance of going to the next round than Bayern Munich.
Of course what I say is not a reference because anything can happen when the match is played for both leg.
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is injured which is a major drawback for the team. PSG is seeing its players like Messi and Mbappe in their best performance this season which should push the chances of PSG a lot. It is quite difficult to guess the winner since Bayern could trash their opponents quite easily whenever they are playing good but I guess PSG will not let them do that the Barca way Roll Eyes

Mbape currently holds the record for most goals scored, and Messi has won the trophy in the World Cup. They both put on incredible performances in the recently concluded World Cup, but I don't think that can be used to predict who will win the Champions League. Mbape won the 2018 World Cup, but PSG couldn't win the Champions League even when he had Neymar. Maybe, now that Messi is present, their chances may improve.

Looking at the basic review of the completed group stage, it appears that a lot of people are overlooking Liverpool and Napoli, who won all of their games in the group stages while other teams were given credit for advancing to the knockout stage.  Grin
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 25, 2022, 12:07:29 PM
If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.

what would you do

Hell NO!

I would never recommend taking such risky action suggested by your friend. It would be much wiser for the friend with $10,000 in Bitcoin to hold onto his investment, especially now that the price is down. It's much more realistic to expect to potentially triple the value of the investment by holding onto it rather than gambling it in an attempt to make $65,000. There is a significant risk of losing everything if they were to gamble with such a large sum of money, it's not worth taking that risk in my opinion.

Come to think of it, except you are the kind of gambler that has enough funds, why would you set $10k BTC into gambling, it would be better to invest 80% of the amount and set aside the remaining 20% for gambling, it is better that way to reduce your risk, if you failed in gambling, your investments may be your backup, don't put all in a single risk.
1769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All in the name of "we are sorry we got hacked" on: December 25, 2022, 11:24:09 AM
I noticed that new projects this day are not using bug bounty hunters to see how strong their security 🔐 is, it's not because they don't have the money, they raised millions and don't care..

It looks like getting hacked is a big excuse to rob people's money, they can easily blame it on hack and say 'we are sorry we get hacked' where as they pray for it or have it in mind to hacked themselves .

I read somewhere that some bugs bounty hunters find bug for few new projects that could have messed up the funds but the project team do not compensate them and ignore the bounty hunter. It's like saying ' who told you to find a bug?' .

It seems we need to take this seriously, any project that doesn't open door for legit hackers ( bug hunters ) to test-run their security or system and claim they are safuu are really not.

It is because of all these kinds of stories I avoid projects, they are some investor's favourites but to me, the fastest and easiest way to lose money in crypto is through alts projects, the team usually comprises lazy developers that contribute few or nothing to GitHub, lack of update for the community and inadequate audit. As soon as they received their portion of allocations, they sell almost all and will later abandon the projects and move to a new one abusing decentralization to milk people's money.

You see those hacks we often see in the news, I don't believe them, they are most often than not insider work especially in situations when teams are no longer on good terms, I wouldn't buy the story that where the team held the keys worth millions were comprised or bug from their own mistakes, they don't care, trust me when I said so.
1770  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: December 25, 2022, 11:07:13 AM
I think it's wise to invest smartly against 2024, there is high tendency of hitting it big in crypto from next year to 2024. I advise you put reasonable capital on bitcoin and few funds in altcoin. Don't sleep on this one. It's a banga!! Let's make this money together.

It's inappropriate for you to sound like a financial advisor when making posts and comments about cryptocurrency recovery. Remember that this is a risky asset and it's important to be cautious when making recommendations to others. Be sure to base your advice on facts and validate your information, as many people have both gained and lost money in the cryptocurrency space.

I believe the market will recover due to the relationship between cryptocurrency and stocks, which tend to exhibit similar behaviours. It is likely that both stocks and bitcoin will see a resurgence in 2023 and 2024, particularly due to the upcoming halving event for bitcoin.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: December 25, 2022, 10:45:32 AM
As they called it a "dirty December" and a "December to remember," but it is important to be financially responsible during the holiday season. Instead of spending money on unnecessary items or going into debt to celebrate Christmas, consider showing love and generosity to those in need. If you are financially stable, consider using some of your resources to help those who are not as fortunate. Additionally, It might be a good idea to invest in bitcoin at this time, as the price is currently low. Rather than spending money to try to impress people who may not even know you, consider using those funds to make a wise investment that could potentially pay off in the future.
1772  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: December 25, 2022, 10:16:29 AM
Anything related to Elon Musk, after buying Twitter, of course, often becomes trending and makes many people want to know the latest news, and in my opinion, if someone resigns from work, it's normal and often happens, don't worry, because the team will look for suitable or better candidates. than those who have resigned, and with a salary offer that is of course large, it will not be difficult.

Just check the records of all time billionaires who made it to the Forbes list, the way Elon became the richest man was through Tesla stock that skyrocketed and the most surprising thing is that Tesla started pumping during the bitcoin bull run, if not for his love for Bitcoin back then, most people don't know him but because he was one of the wealthiest people to publicly admitted his love for bitcoin, and with the help of Twitter, so many folks have become rich and financially buoyant through him, that's why anything he tweets become a trend even before he bought Twitter.

1773  Economy / Economics / Re: A fact that the general public don't know on: December 23, 2022, 06:11:46 PM
It's looks like in every bear season crypto always gets a bad occurrence to be called a scam, this is why I still look at the whole bad situations that's happening as a planned attack, I am talking about FTX and co.

The Politicians will try to ruin crypto and force KYC on every clean and unclean exchanges out there, this is a good opportunity for them to promote CBDC too because of this FTX fraud but I am here to tell you that FTX and Crypto are not the same things, FTX is a private company that did many bad things behind the curtain and Cryptocurrency is the most fascinating technology that humanity has ever emerge with.

Don't get it confused.

Out of all bear market that we have had, this is the worst in my opinion, the previous bear market collapsed has been between retailers, no much drama of institutional investors. They came on board after the last bear market, majority of them profited but their greed and inexperience cost us pain that will be hard to overcome. Just look at the entire market especially the Altcoins, there is no confidence, no interest, and there is still fear among crypto Twitter.

We all have our mistakes to correct especially the ones who hardly can't do without these centralized exchanges that have been using and milking their investment, let us all go decentralized again how it used to be and make crypto (bitcoin preferably) great again.
1774  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria Naira notes and its security features-- CBN on: December 23, 2022, 05:47:43 PM
To the best of my knowledge i believe the newly introduced notes have no much difference from the old ones than the change in colour, except if the kind of printing materials the paper nite is being printed upon is different from the former type like switching from the paper to polymer or the paper quality been slightly different from the old one by thickness, else there shouldn't be any difficulty in identifying the fake one from the original since it's just a change in colour and not the design or pattern.
I didn't see any new redesigned note in the Nigerian newly resigned currency. It is only the colour is changed. The old currency or design is much more better than the new redesigned currency. In Nigeria, every government wants to do which is always contrary to the citizens. there was no need for the colour-riot. The CBN is saying that, the redesigned will reduce the country's inflation, and I didn't see it from that way but I saw more inflation. Only solution nto Nigeria inflation is the radical approach by the government to reduce the prices of good and services. And not to redesign the currency.

Knowledge and information is the key my friend, don't sleep on it when they share it with you. I have not go through all the updates that central bank has shared with commercial banks to disseminate to their customers but I have received more than 3 videos of POS merchants complaining how the new Naira notes has increased the rate of counterfeit currency and I have learn how to avoid them from the videos, like the years on the money, the stamp from CBN and fake colourings of the fake notes. It's a good thing if you check the official one before you become a victim, it's the Christmas season, stay safe.
1775  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 23, 2022, 05:39:33 PM
As much as I enjoy freelancing because it allows me to be independent of a boss or organization, I am concerned about the medium through which freelancers find work. So far, there have been countless cases of review manipulation, favoritism, cheating, and platform inaccuracy.

I spent a lot of time on Fever and Upwork, trying to be among the top writers, but it appears that the way they operate in their system is not for me, you have to do the above I mentioned or you won't see a single gig to showcase your talent, so I got fed up and left. I later had some conversations with some of the guys who were doing some digital marketing work on the platforms, and I changed my mind about freelancing after that because of the manipulations.

The story has changed thanks to crypto today, I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'll get there without any organization or boss telling me what to do and how to do it.
1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: December 22, 2022, 01:34:43 PM
I got this very topic phrase"Not A Religion from one of my favourites in the community (Bitcointalk forum).
This very topic rang a bell in my heart because I had to read her response on a topic over and over again and I really do agree with her that Bitcoin isn't a religion
Most people see Bitcoin as a religion and a must to believe in it and and feel left out if they aren't.
One of the reasons people who believe so much in Bitcoin is the possibility of making money with minimal effort.
Do you really see Bitcoin as a religion?

The word "religion" is absurd when used to describe what is actually a "movement" that aims to replace the established financial system. Tradfi has failed us in many areas of the economy, if you compare what fiat has accomplished in the last 30 years to what bitcoin has accomplished in the last 10 years, you will want to choose bitcoin over fiat. People from all over the world have started to use Bitcoin, and its use is increasing daily, ever since they learned that it can protect them against inflation and serve as a means of investment. Despite the criticism we have received from those who don't like it, the spread is at its height.
1777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 22, 2022, 01:04:31 PM
When a man gets married to a woman to become husband and wife, they become one and everyone expects that they can get to share everything with each other. I know of women who have the passwords to their husbands bank cards and they can make withdrawals on his behalf. I will like to ask the Men here if they have shared their seed phrase with their wife's? I will like to ask the women here how they will feel if their husbands refuse telling them their seed phrase?

Marriage as they used to say, what the creator has joined together, let no any man break it, it is forever and for worse but the reality of marriage is different these days especially now that it is difficult for couples to keep long term commitments. You will see relationships begin in a sweet journey and get crash on the road because people can change anytime and that is what you cannot change about people, it is a constant thing.

Credit card is different from Bitcoin seed phrase, once you notice that your wife is trying something funny or situation where there is a misunderstanding between you guys, you can contact your bank to lock your account or close it for you but if your wife decides to move your bitcoin without your approval, there is nothing you can do about that and you can't trace it either. I wouldn't advise anyone to entrust their seed phrase to their wife.

I am an Arsenal supporter, but the situation that happened to the Gunners made many people doubt it. moreover, one of their core players must be absent in the next few weeks. for sure, there will be a lot of big questions on the performance of the Gunners once the league resumes. only 5 points difference from Manchester City, not something that is difficult for them to overtake. after all, at this time besides Haaland as City's goal monster, Julian Alvarez's performance was also quite satisfactory when defending his Argentina national team. to be sure, the strength of Manchester City is very much feared by its opponents.

As for the Gunners, I hope Arteta will be able to bring in players who are truly ideal to add to the strength of his army later. and hopefully, the Gunners will continue to shine once the league resumes.

Arsenal players will not be the only ones that would be absent from next week, apart from Halland, some indispensable Manchester City players wouldn't be available because the statics from FIFA, almost 100 players were provided to play in the world by premier League alone and, Manchester will receive the highest amount, Manchester provided good 16 players to different countries while Arsenal provided just 9 players, so you see that both teams are not yet to fully recover from the stress of World Cup.

Manchester City's overall performance hasn't slowed down but Arsenal hasn't either, probably the league will become so much interesting the way we had Argentina and France from round of 16 knock stage, I want the whole Europe to sake this time with Premier League if possible.
