1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 20, 2023, 06:13:46 AM
I watched some ICC Womens T20 World Cup Cricket this weekend ..and I have to say, it was VERY good quality Cricket. The England and Australia fielding was exceptional and nice to watch.  Wink

Do you know where I can bet on these games? I know Australia are the defending World Cup holders, but I think some of the other teams might dethrone them this year... their performance was not that good against a struggling South African team.  Roll Eyes
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 20, 2023, 06:00:50 AM
I think one important question about this is the fact that some nations do not allow gambling nor gambling ads, which means in some places Stake can't be their sponsor, there were a few others for example and they had to be removed on those, will it be the same here as well? Will it be removed and everything will be alright again, or will it stay and there is a workaround for it?
If some countries prohibit gambling activities in all forms then it's not a problem for stakes because the Stake.com gambling platform can be accessed using a VPN and gamblers can access it normally and smoothly. If Stake cannot sponsor in some of these countries, Stake can still sponsor. in other countries being a country that prohibits gambling or the promotion of gambling places is not a complicated matter for stakes.
It's the same as Crypto, there are several countries that prohibit the use of crypto in any form, but there are still many citizens of these countries who are determined and continue to use crypto no matter what. So we don't need to worry about banning gambling in various countries. each to be able to continue to gamble on gambling platforms such as Stake.com even if the country in which they live prohibits gambling activities.

I will not rely on that too much, because it can back fire on you, if you use a VPN. Some third party Slot providers "block" certain countries from access to their slots and it is not done by Stake.com. So if you bypass these restrictions, you might offer them an opportunity not to payout large wins. (They look for technicalities not to payout large wins)

I know a lot of people are saying that Eddie (co-owner of Stake.com) are using a VPN during his stream and for that reason, VPN use are not frowned on by Stake.... but are you willing to risk a huge win on that?
1763  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin vs. Inflation on: February 20, 2023, 05:51:30 AM
I think you are seeing patterns in things that act naturally to important announcements in the Press. We know that some people regard Bitcoin as a store of value, so they might react to negative news on the inflation rate. They might look at Bitcoin or Gold to protect their wealth, but I think more institutional investors are shifting their wealth to Gold.

The inflation statistics are manipulated on a continuous basis to boost the global economy, so I will not just rely on that to determine my trading decisions.  Roll Eyes
1764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (food for table) on: February 20, 2023, 05:32:32 AM
You are absolutely right! Bitcoin will save the world!

Are your signature campaign paying for nonsense posts like this?

Anyone can tell you that Bitcoin are not going to save the World's food problems and it's definitely not going constantly put food on the table. The technology can make governments more transparent and if the Bitcoin price is in a recovery phase, you might make some small profits with trading.

It is better for people to understand that they should not expect Bitcoin to be a profit machine, but rather that Bitcoin could be used as an alternative currency and a possible store of wealth.
1765  Economy / Economics / Re: Keanu Reeves says Principle behind Cryptocurrency is Amazing on: February 19, 2023, 11:26:01 AM
Keanu Reeves are an actor and his partner is into NFT's, so his opinion on Crypto currencies are a bit biased. That said.... he rubbed shoulders with a lot of influential people in the technology industry and "The Matrix" was ground breaking when it came out. (Bullet time, was something brand new)  Grin

I know people look up to celebrities and any good opinions on Crypto currencies are welcomed, but then that person must be totally biased. When Elon Musk talk about Dogecoin or Shiba Inu... speculators listen and he influences the markets.... but if he says "Crypto will be in his new Tesla cars" ... competitors listen too... and that is what we want.  Wink

Imagine if Keanu Reeves says.. you can only pay with Crypto currencies, if you want to see his next movie before it's release date.  Grin
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Picks4You on: February 19, 2023, 11:02:39 AM
#Ivekzg

Are you making a lot more bets and only cherry picking the ones that will give you a favorable review? I know you are not getting anything out of posting this... other than building your own reputation, but I want you to be more transparent with your full betting history.

In any way.... what you are doing are more successful than what I am doing, so I appreciate you sharing your bets. I can actually learn from your success and my failure.  Cheesy
1767  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto casino project - bug hunt & feature ideas on: February 19, 2023, 10:53:23 AM
So, if I take a Tesla car and I add spoilers and new rims and fancy paint and tinted windows and a new dashboard ...can I say it is now a new model car? Can I then sell that car, if I mass produce it ...or is this car still owned by Tesla?

When I started reading this whole thread, I thought OP created the "base" for this project... but now it looks like he added the spoilers and rims and fancy paint?

Just asking.....  Roll Eyes
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many merchants are worried about high transaction fees on: February 19, 2023, 10:38:57 AM
I think we should have been past that issue a long time ago, because developers have created side-chains like the "Lighting Network" to provide for methods to pay almost zero fees.

I am not a big supporter of this, because I believe developers should focus on ways to reduce high transaction fees, without taking it off0chain. When the Block reward expire, transaction fees must replace it.... so if we do away with most of the miners fees.... what will be the incentive for miners to mine?  Roll Eyes

1770  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 17, 2023, 07:50:48 AM
If you are a clever investor, you will never go all-in on a high risk investment like Bitcoin. You will have a balanced portfolio with a good mix between low/medium/high investment options. So, when Crypto crash, you will still be able to rely on your low and medium risk investments.

I have some coins that I trade with, but I use stop losses to prevent disastrous losses, when there might be a crash scenario. I always try to sell, before it reach those levels. (so you manage your risk)  Wink
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Favorite Play’n Go Games and Experience on: February 17, 2023, 07:42:30 AM
I like some of the Play'n Go games, like Rise of Olympus and Green Knight, but I feel these games are milked by many streamers, so your chances to win big are very small.

I also like the craziness of Reactoonz II .... but it pays small amounts and it is very difficult to hit the feature. It is not as volatile as Hacksaw Gaming slots, but it is difficult enough.

I tend to go for the less popular slots on other game providers, because it is not swept every day by streamers. In any way, most games have almost the same RTP, so your change in RTP are almost not visible between the slots that are offered by the different providers.  Roll Eyes
1772  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashscores.com 💥 Realtime Crash Game Statistics on: February 17, 2023, 05:54:32 AM
I just want to know how helpful these statistics are, if we assume that each bet are unique? Have you seen any patterns in the statistics that indicate that these bets are manipulated?

I play a lot of "Crash" on Stake.com and I know they share one client seed for all players that play Crash on their site. It would not have worked, if each player played on their own client seed. I have had my reservations on the fairness of these kinds of systems for a while, but it is almost impossible to calculate the RTP for these original games, because you need almost 1 000 000 bets to get a accurate calculation of the RTP. (By that time, they could have adjusted the RTP several times)

Thank you for creating this site, it will help me with my own research into the fairness of these games.  Roll Eyes
1773  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Wyoming passes bill prohibing Bitcoin private keys from Courts on: February 17, 2023, 05:40:46 AM
It is simple...

The court does not have to tell you to divulge your Private keys, they can simply order you to sell your coins and then divide the income from those coins, with your partner as per marital contract with that spouse.

If the court can tell you to sell your house and give 50% of the proceeds to your spouse, why should they not be able to order you to sell your coins?
1774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen in a deflationary hoarding scenario? on: February 17, 2023, 05:35:15 AM
It is highly unlikely that we will have a scenario where everyone will be hoarding their coins, because everyone has there "selling" price and traders has to sell to make a profit. (So things will balance out eventually, when the price hits a new all-time-high)

Also, people will be able to pay for higher priced goods, when the price goes higher.. and that will stimulate more movement of coins. I sold some coins when the price was more than 800 times my buying price... so if I can do it, everyone else can do it too.  Roll Eyes
1775  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 16, 2023, 06:54:42 AM
Yes, the days are long gone where property prices were cheap and work opportunities abundant... now the younger generation has to deal with high inflation and high interest rates and exorbitant property prices.

I have no problem with those kids that are staying at home to study and to prepare themselves for the difficult task to find a job... I do have a problem with those kids that wants to use their parents for free food and housing, while they are having a care free life. I started working a month after I left school.... and I am still working since that day.  Roll Eyes
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 16, 2023, 06:46:14 AM
OP, thank you for sharing that information... I think it is good to balance the discussions that are done here, because most topics are targeted on promoting gambling and not enough on the negative consequences if you cannot stop doing it.

I think most regulated casinos wants to help those people that has a gambling addiction problem, because they want to promote responsible gambling. People should enjoy gambling as something that are done for entertainment... and not something that ruin their lives.  Sad
1777  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 16, 2023, 06:36:56 AM
I can understand why they probably went for the link to the Super Bowl and not with Valentine's Day, because it gives them some free promotion for Sport betting on the Super Bowl.  Roll Eyes

Let's be honest, Stake.com cannot celebrate all of these "special" days, because they will probably go bankrupt if they do. Some of these days have zero marketing potential for the casino, so they have to be selective.  Roll Eyes

It might be a good opportunity for Slot developers to launch some "love" related games (Slots) on this day... and then the casino can put a challenge on them to make it more special.  Wink
Besides now casinos have no incentive to give away bonuses related to Valentines day as now the super bowl will be played close to that date, and as we know the super bowl is an event that even those which are not fans take the time to watch and to make a few bets, so anyone thinking about this being a possibility is going to be heavily disappointed as I do not see casinos implementing an additional round of bonuses so close to each other or to give priority to Valentines day over the super bowl.
I think it is a shame that gambling is such a big thing on super bowl and not on world cup finals. I remember world cup finals just a few months ago which was viewed by over a billion people, it was aired for 4 billion people, it doesn't get any bigger than that, but casinos (and stake included) didn't offer as much as they offer to superbowl.

I do not know the main reason for this, Super Bowl has only like 100-150 million viewers, which is not even 10% of what world cup finals got, and yet for some reason it is a much bigger deal. I guess it is about betting numbers, casinos must know how much money they could make from it, and compare that to other games, this must bring in a lot of money.

I think they are in a better position to determine what Sport gets the most bets and not just how many people are watching it. They even have a site specifically dedicated to the US players, so they might focus more on the Sports that the US people support. (A lot of those players still play unverified via VPNs on Stake.com)

Just look at the type of Sport that they are sponsoring.... Soccer / Motor racing in F1 / Mixed martial arts ..... to get an idea what market are the most profitable to them.  Wink
1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Chokepoint 2.0 (Biden's administration quitet ban on crypto) on: February 16, 2023, 06:19:22 AM
We have seen this coming for a while now and we know they are doing this to pave the way for a "cashless" economy, where they can fully track all transactions on their digital cash technologies.

We know most criminal activities are not done with Crypto, but rather with physical cash. (How many drug dealers on the street are accepting crypto as payment for their drugs.... right?)

So, they will eliminate their competition and replace it with their own centralized digital version of cash, which they control.  Roll Eyes
1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 16, 2023, 06:12:01 AM
This is not really a surprise, because people are tuned in to physical stimulation. Anyone that are offered the same choice would go for the physical cash, because it is less trouble.. than having to open a digital wallet and then making sure that it is secure and also having to learn something new.

People are lazy by nature and it takes extra effort to acquire and store bitcoins, so they will opt for the immediate gratification with no effort at all.  Roll Eyes

Just when I thought I had seen it all, you come here and you post about a concept that I have never heard of before... thank you for posting about "ordinals" ... I am now going to take some time to read up on this.  Wink

So, in theory..... every Satoshi will have a serial number linked to it... right? So, what happens if those satoshi's go through a mixer service..after it was handled by some celebrity or linked to some major event?
