1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: September 28, 2019, 10:03:14 AM
I have had quite nice profits betting on dice on short term. Like once I have used a strategy derived from Martingale but with more so called "safety" measures. Like I would cut my losing streak at 3-4 in a row then start again with betting on high if I bet on low before.

I have survived like 3-4 days playing 2-3 hours a day before busting my account. However I have withdrawn little profits each day so at the end I've ended a little bit in profit, but you need to manage your account very carefully. In the long term I don't think there is a strategy viable to make consistent profits from playing dice due to the statistical edge that the casino has over players.
1762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: September 28, 2019, 08:52:25 AM
Very useful article @WickCrypto! The thing that most people who undertake the trading endeavour don't understand is that managing emotions is a core factor of being a consistently profitable trader. Technical analysis and risk management are the other two factors of the equation and if you manage to get these three right you CAN be successful!

I recommend reading psychological books. They are really helpful to understand the thinking processes you go through while trading and not only  Wink
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] Binance Launches Staking Platform with Support for 8 Cryptocurrencies on: September 28, 2019, 08:41:12 AM
CZ has always been looking into the future and planning ahead like a good CEO does, but I have never been a fan of keeping cryptocurrencies on exchanges. In my opinion is much much safer to keep them in a hardware wallet or even better a paper wallet where no one besides you have access. Keeping the crypto on an exchange exposes you to a series of risks that you have no control upon. Basically you have to trust a third party to take care of your crypto instead of yourself.

Are you willing to do that? - That is the question you need to ask yourself.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Believe That It's A Fix on: September 28, 2019, 07:29:10 AM
First of all I'll make a fast analysis of the man who whispered that to me. If I decide he is at least a bit trustworthy and could have really got the tip from somewhere I'll definitely place a small bet on the underdog. My philosophy when gambling is "always do it for fun and nothing else!" so taking that into account I would still place a bet on my favorite player.

Most of these so-called "whisperers" at matches just want to fool people. Let's think about it.. why would he share this tip with you? Being serious now, how many people going to boxing matches are kind and willing to make other people money  Roll Eyes
1765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Doing This? on: September 28, 2019, 06:49:30 AM
Hmm.. you've just gave me something to think about. Nobody in my family knows how to access my crypto holdings and if anything happens to me, God forbid, there is a chance the crypto will just be forgotten. On the other part you need to have full trust in them to not lose/burn/destroy your private keys lol depending on their take on cryptocurrencies  Cheesy
1766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 27, 2019, 07:23:24 PM
I don't recommend taking out a loan for any investment unless you are a professional investor. Volatility is not the only danger of investing into cryptocurrency. There are many risks associated such as being an unregularized environment. Then we've got to acknowledge the fact that cryptocurrencies are a high risk, high reward bet. The blockchain technology is being adopted for sure, but that does not mean that Bitcoin for the example sake will be the world currency. Governments might just issue their own cryptocurrencies and people might just go with that.

The truth is that most people are not really "hungry" for anonymity and privacy/freedom. In a way they want to be protected by the governments and want a currency that is regularized from all points of view. But if Bitcoin gets adopted it will be huge. So as I said: high risk, HIGH REWARD!
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 27, 2019, 06:25:01 PM
Personally I think that you can't win in gambling on the long run, so I never bet to make money. I only bet for fun and especially when my favorite team plays I like to place a wager just to increase my "skin in the game" if you know what I mean. There is no better way to spend an evening than placing a wager on your team and going to cheer for them on the stadium!  Grin Grin

1769  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or Bear season for crypto? on: September 27, 2019, 04:18:39 PM
If you look at the macro timeframes you could say that we've just printed a lower high which is not bullish at all, but personally I wouldn't get full on bearish until we don't break the $6200-$6500 zone. That is what my technical analysis skills tell me.

On the other hand my opinion is that we're just retracing for accumulation then the institutions will pour their money into the market and give a massive boost to Bitcoin. Keep in mind that I'm not a financial advisor so you shouldn't follow my advice.
1770  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: September 27, 2019, 02:08:06 PM
The big ones like ETH and EOS are a safer bet if you ask me, but if I were you I would invest in some lower cap ones with solid development like STRATIS. I don't want to.shill the project, but they are enterprise oriented and they are already working with several big companies.
1771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell btc on: September 27, 2019, 12:04:32 PM
Hi everyone, I am a newbie. I find myself with about a btc and I would like to sell, but I don't know what the right moment is .. tips?

You can't expect strangers that don't know a thing about your situation give you relevant advice. There is no right or wrong moment.. it's only the right or wrong moment for you. Maybe you desperately need money for something now and can't wait for long time, then maybe it's better to cash out now. Then it comes the question if you believe in Bitcoin long term or not. If you do then you have the option to take a collateralized loan for your BTC through Nexo or other similar services.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INVESTING BASED ON MERE PREDICTIONS on: September 27, 2019, 09:05:15 AM
First of all the people who make altcoin/crypto/stocks/fx predictions are not financial advisors in 99% of the time, so the question is why would you listen to them. People need to invest wisely especially when their hard-earned money is at play. Moreover crypto is a relatively new industry with not so much liquidity and volume in comparison with the forex or the stock markets.

My advice is simple: always but always do your OWN dilligence! You can take into account other people's opinion about the market but your decisions must be made based on your research on the market movements.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis have any value for Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2019, 08:50:26 AM
Technical analysis is the visual representation of the market psychology, BUT analysis is a total different concept with trading. Analysts have no responsability of their account, they just analyse the charts and paint beautiful lines on them. But if you are a trader and know a little bit of technical analysis you can make fortunes so I would say that TA holds big importance for crypto taking into account that there are few or none fundamental events to take into consideration like Earnings reports for stocks.
1774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making exponential gains trading on: September 27, 2019, 08:36:42 AM
I've been trading (?) cryptocurrencies for a little over 5 years and have always had little to no success even doubling my money. I know I know, it's not supposed to be easy to double your money.
I work in finance so I understand that a 20% annualized gain is already a ridiculous amount.

I have however seen players doubling, tripling, 10xing their money through a variety of ways of which I can list here:

-Bitmex, Deribit etc. Perpetual Futures leveraged trading (1-100 x leverage - SUPER HIGH RISK)
-ICO/IEO trading (4-5 returns, MEDIUM RISK)
-Spot Trading (BTC/USD, MEDIUM RISK)
-Deribit Options (MEDIUM RISK)
-Cross Exchange Arbs/DEX Arbing (Buying alts on Dex before exchange launching on Binance - requires insider information)
-Gambling Games (Dice, etc.)

Does anyone else have any ideas to share or methods that consistently gives them good gains?

You need to understand that a lot of the so-called crypto traders on twitter and in the general community fake their gains so they can get more followers and attention. Less than 1% of the traders are profitable, you need to understand this.

And to be able to make a decent amount of money arbitraging you need cutting-edge bots and a lot of funds to make it worthwhile. Gambling is definitely not a consistent method to make money unless you are the house of course.
1775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: September 27, 2019, 05:44:45 AM
This is a fragile subject, but in my opinion banks can definitely find ways to integrate BTC/crypto and the blockchain technology in their infrastructure. They will surely be able to provide services around it for people. They will still be able to provide deposits, credits and access to different financial systems and services. Also I'm sure there will be numerous people who don't want to deal with the intricacies of cryptocurrency and just deposit them in a bank crypto account and use a card.

So I can't see any reason why banks would disappear with the adoption of bitcoin.

1777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Compare Your Trading ideas with others ? on: September 25, 2019, 09:26:22 AM
Sometimes I do check other established traders' ideas about the market, but if I would setup a trading idea I'd never interfere their view on the market with mine. I just like to see how they think and maybe pick up some new concepts.
1778  Economy / Economics / Re: CEO - WIREX: "GOODBYE Banknotes... Payments will be DIGITAL" - Cryptonites on: September 24, 2019, 07:06:13 PM
We all knew that banknotes were going to belong to the past once credit/debit cards were introduced by banks. But now cryptocurrencies will get us one step further into the evolution of our financial system. However it is going to be a long process. I mean even now there are a lot of people unbanked or who still don't know how cards work. IMHO the govts. or NGOs need to invest a considerable amount of funds and time into educating the population.
1779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: September 24, 2019, 04:24:59 PM
From various educational resources I have learned that saving is actually more risky than investing. People must understand that they need to "get rid" of the fiat currency as soon as they receive it. Be it by investing in some hard assets like real estate or in stocks, bitcoin, etc. That's when a financial advisor is worth your money especially if you have a considerable amount of wealth.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: September 24, 2019, 08:22:31 AM
Well, I don't know any offline casino where you can play with Bitcoin at the moment. But there certainly are LOTS of online casinos where you can gamble with numerous cryptocurrencies not just Bitcoin. Of course that in the future casinos will adopt BTC as they adopted cards. I imagine me going to a roullete table and just swiping my phone to enter the game. Bets would be made virtually, but the dealer would throw the ball in real time.

Of course that you can use live casino rooms in some websites instead of going to the actual physical place Grin
