How many wars has Russia fought on it's territory defending itself and how many to expand it's own ?
Common , be a sweet Norwegian guy m and acknowledge that it's about  1 to 10.

Don't forget that in the ww2 , the russian where the aggressors , sorry to say it but it's like that.

And , as blabla said , why do you say Russia was a target , Russia in a 25 years old country , isn't it?

Russia is an old country with an existential gap between 1917 and 1992 (and almost fulfilling the Western wish in the 90 and getting destroyed by US puppet Yeltsin and co.)

Russians were aggressors during WWII? Are you living in an alternate reality? I thought you were smarter. Even so, that means that Georgians were aggressors (especially them, those bloody murderous aggressive Georgians, who had under their thumb the better part of Eurasia and invaded Romania!), Ukrainians were aggressors, Azerbaijany were aggressors.

Also, if you put a 1:10 claim, please back it up.

Here is Rouble to Norwegian Krone from 2009 (post-American housing crash):

I'd say it was relatively stable. There was that post-bubble bear trap in the beginning of the range and the Western-induced Ukrainian crises that started in February, destabilising Rouble, as planned by the US.

Will you suggest that a hedgehog should shave itself just to show the fox how peaceful he is? I bet foxes are saying about hedgehogs that they are "prickly aggressive bastards".  Grin

I honestly don't think we will know who shot the plane down. We can guess and assume but there'll be a fair amount of reasonable doubt. What we have is a bunch of things pointing at Rebels, but no hard proof

Interesting subversive comment, designed to gently direct the attention in the desired direction. Almost a Jedi mind trick...

What we have so far, is a bunch of thing pointing to the plane being shot by machine gun fire from both sides of the plane, targeting the cockpit, killing the pilots, and ripping the airframe. Whether it was NATO air force or Ukrainian air force that did it is a big question, but one thing is certain, the freedom fighters had neither means, opportunity, nor motive to shoot that plane down (and stop that AN-26 nonsense - the altitudes are incomparable). On the other hand, it is highly visible who gained the most from this false flag.

I find it interesting that these two-name newbie accounts started cropping up now. Something seems not to be going right the the West-field players in the big game...
1765  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Malaysia Airlines MH17 Crash: Boeing 777 Crashed in Ukraine Near Russian Border on: September 17, 2014, 10:58:09 AM
This flight was traveling along a route it had regularly used on a daily basis in recent weeks. (Flights over conflict zones are actually common. The Federal Aviation Administration banned U.S. carriers from flying over certain areas above Crimea and the Black Sea

No, it wasn't. Have you been sent in to start altering the reality? The flight was diverted much further north and to a lower altitude by the flight controllers in Dniepropetrovsk, a city under oligarch Kolomoijskij control. Besides, what jurisdiction does FAA have over the non-US flights? Oh, I forgot Ukraine and much of Europe are de-facto occupied by the US...

Also funny how flights over a war zone with partially destroyed civil aviation ground infrastructure is OK, while flight over a peaceful Crimea with a functioning infrastructure is a no-no.  Roll Eyes

From once a superpower now having a gdp lower than california... sucks

You know what is really funny? I have seen the variations on the sentence like above many times, both in present days, and in the historical documents.
The other versions include "Russia is done for." "Russia is on a brink of collapse." "Russia is a thing of the past." It's been going like that for almost 600 years now...

That's called wishful thinking... Wink

Sorry but you're twisting my words here.
I never said that Russia is going to compete with Bangladesh but it's days of a super power are long gone.

As for it's gonna be bankrupt , it's gonna collapse it's in the past...
You have to agree that since 2000 people are saying the same about the US , yet ...who's your daddy?

I wasn't - I was simply exposing the intent in your words. By the way, I wouldn't say that Russia was a superpower to be gin with. It was and still is just Russia, minding its business and trying to avoid being overrun. Being a superpower implies ambition of being such. That is something displayed by the UK and now US. They try to project their world view on Russia, but that just does not stick.

As for my daddy? Certainly not the US.  Grin I've been steadily moving all of my assets that were US dollar-denominated bonds to Northern Europe, Russia and BTC. Nothing patriotic or personal, just business, looking at the the way the events are playing out.

I guess the truce is observed here just as well as by the Kiev coup-government's ground troops in Ukraine...

You have to understand that when it comes to wars and the leaders of the world we are not told the truth ,we only see tip of the iceberg, and for sure we will never find out the truth and the real reasons why some wars start and who are the persons behind it.

You great-grand-children may (provided the current leaders don't blow up the Earth). We start getting some really interesting information about the 1500-1700s now...

Many are scratching their heads why these non-sensical sanctions are being implemented now. Instead of encouraging the peace process in Ukraine, they are bound to discourage it. It is also being pointed out that the Kiev regime is using the ceasefire in order to regroup, build-up defenses in strategic points, and to bring fresh troops in order to restart the offensive against Donetsk and Lugansk this fall. Meanwhile, NATO is conducting joint NATO-Kiev exercises in western (pro-ukronazi) Ukraine. These have already been dubbed a “provocation.” However, I think the reason is deeper: these exercises are done to camouflage the transfer to Kiev of the Western military technology, munitions, specialists and money. The Kiev junta has been charged to continue conducting the civil war, devastating its territory and population. It would have been possible to stop this madness if Kiev offered broad autonomy to Donbass back in the spring, but the prevailing fascist/western-dependent element in the Kiev government wouldn’t do it as they obviously don’t have their citizens’ best interests at heart.

A pretty accurate article.

Also a good read, is the following article (and in general, the analytical articles from Lada Ray):
http://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2014/09/16/predictions-the-real-reasons-for-wests-anti-russian-sanctions/

Quote
The new Western sanctions, including defence and oil sectors, hit Russia despite ceasefire in Ukraine, the exchange of prisoners, the Minsk meeting between Putin and Poroshenko, and Putin’s peace plan for Ukraine that is being implemented, albeit with a limited success. Putin called the new sanctions “odd.” Odd indeed, as EU still insists Russia must change its policies in Ukraine, as if all the above never happened. At this point it is clear that nothing short of Russia becoming a slave to the West, or happily self-destructing to please the maniacal NWO Western “leaders,” will stop the sanctions.

And a little further down in the article there is a comprehensive list.

Anti-Russian sanctions aren’t about Ukraine. Oh no, the reasons are so much bigger and all-encompassing.

Here are the real reasons for these sanctions:

I especially like the quote of JFK and the subsequent passage:

Quote
Quote
We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.

It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations… Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.4

...

Like JFK, you have a military background, so you are bound by a sense of duty to protect and serve the people of Russia. It appears that like him you recognized the madness of nuclear war and have turned towards peace.

The Founding Fathers and JFK are among the few American leaders that command respect.

^^^ If Gagauzia declares independence, it will prove to be problematic. It is not a geographically continuous entity, and consists of many exclaves and enclaves. And it shares no common border with Transnistria. So a better idea would be to ensure victory for Voronin's party in the parliamentary elections. For that to happen, Russia needs to do something so that the one million Moldvin voters living in Russia gains there right to vote.

Victory for Voronin's party? He's pro-Romanian, correction, he is Romanian bearing a Russian surname, and Moldovans outside of the ruling elite stamped him as the one selling out Moldova.

From another thread:
Speaking about "invasion", some interesting statements from Turchynov were published.

http://nbnews.com.ua/ru/news/131604/

Yes, the article is an interesting read.

I especially liked the last of Turchinov's remarks:

Quote
«И это является базой для возвращения Крыма Украине – понимание большинством крымчан того, что они потеряли», – добавил он.

Quote
And this [meaning "totalitarian" Russia as opposed to "free" Ukraine] is that very base for the return of Crimea to Ukraine  - the understanding by the majority of Crimeans of what they have lost"

Indeed Crimeans were keenly observing what they have lost, looking at the ethnic cleansing of the Russian population in the South-East - something that they definitely lost. They also lost and can't wait for the friendly beating by the Ukrainian nationalists to resume - previously those frequented Crimea to teach Crimeans how to love Ukraine. And I am not even talking about the loss experience of a complete economic collapse that they could have enjoyed should they have stayed with Ukraine.

It's getting worse and worse, it seems Russia and IS are becoming partners.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/11/assad-moscow-tehran-condemn-obama-isis-air-strike-plan

I understand it would be difficult for Russia to work arm in arm with America and all western countries against IS, but IS is fighting against Syria, which is Russia's friend. Logic says my friend's enemy should my enemy too, but Russia doesn't understand it that way. Russia, Syria and Iran are united against air strikes to fight IS. So things are clear now, all the bad guys are together.

Stop twisting the facts.

Now. Russia is against US/UK bombing Syria on a whim, not against ISIS. Learn the difference.
We all know that these terrorists operate in UK and US as well. So does this give Russia the right to bomb US and UK to get rid of the terrorists in those countries. Because that's what Obama/Cameron imply.

PS:

‘No country can legally invade another country without the UN approval’

Quote
The US can't lead a coalition against ISIS in Syria as attacking a sovereign state without the cooperation of its government and UN approval is a violation of international law, Professor Daoud Khairallah from Georgetown University told RT.

...

DK: What I find very strange is that this alliance between the US and the countries that have helped arming, funding, training and facilitating the work of ISIS and the other derivatives of Al-Qaeda are now the allies that would deal with this problem called ISIS, and without the approval of the government and the forces who have been fighting for 3 years these same groups and telling the whole world “I'm fighting terrorism.” That is something very odd, and where will they get the forces on the ground if they are not going to deal with the Syrian government? That is something that is a huge question mark.

Is it revenge to deny citizenship to foreign people who have babies on your soil???

If children of legal immigrants are denied citizenship, then it is not just revenge, but also a gross violation of the human rights. These people have resided in Estonia and Latvia for many decades, and have paid their taxes to these countries. Suddenly, the government says that they don't have the qualification for basic rights, such as citizenship and voting.

In Norway, any child born on Norwegian soil automatically gets Norwegian citizenship, that he/she needs to confirm before he reaches 21 years. I would thing the same applies to people born in Latvia, as long as they are not ethnic Russians (Latvia is a country actively and proudly practising Apartheid)

Poland resumes reverse gas flow to Ukraine

Quoting in full:
Quote
Poland has resumed full deliveries of gas to Ukraine, Warsaw and Kiev confirmed on Friday.

“Today morning gas deliveries from Poland resumed,” Ukraine's Ukrtransgaz said in a statement.

Spokeswoman of Poland's state pipeline operator Gaz-System Malgorzata Polkowska also confirmed to RIA Novosti that gas deliveries to Ukraine have resumed “in compliance with the client’s wishes.”

The state gas company PGNiG hasn’t provided immediate confirmation.

On Wednesday it stopped deliveries, after Poland saw a sharp drop in gas flowing from Russia this week. Kiev blamed Russia’s Gazprom, saying it was pressing the country ahead of the cold winter.

Gazprom refuted the allegations saying that gas supplies were stable and at the contracted 23 million cubic meters a day.

Later the company clarified that Poland was talking about requested, not contracted gas, demand which Gazprom isn’t obliged to satisfy.

Germany and Austria also said there was a drop in Russian gas deliveries.

I read a couple of days ago that Norwegian journalists did a documentary on the "Heroes of Ukraine", Azov and other groups, bearing swastikas and Nazi SS symbols. The documentary was subsequently shown on the German ZDF channel. It looks like Europe is making a very slow, but still noticeable turn away from the untra-nationalists in Ukraine, while still making token consolatory nods towards the American line of support of the US-installed Nazi regime in Ukraine by mumbling something about sanctions.
