1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Etherium v NXT on: February 15, 2014, 04:05:47 PM
Given the features of NXT, that are out now or able to be seen, or soon to come, what does etherium offer that is better.

NXT is developing a scripting language so it will be "turning complete" as well (aka unlimited number of nand gates).

I am opening the floor to anyone who has any views on what else etherium will offer that NXT does not, or visa versa.

1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT ?? on: February 15, 2014, 08:31:38 AM
NXT could be overtaken by a competitor such as NEM with a better initial distribution as this will attract a wider following more quickly.

NXT is a great idea, great code, great devs, so is ripple, both suffer from volume due to this lock poor distribution out feature.

Tenebrix suffered from this, and look what LTC did to that will a better launch by distribution.

Doge is the opposite to this it reaches a large market.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Excuse me, but I like my money the way it is Mr. Peercoin! on: February 15, 2014, 02:57:51 AM
google translate is high on crypto weed, that ...or this is a message from the future, where PeerCoin has taken over most of store of value and some dying bank sent a garbled message to the past
1764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is failing in replacing fiat in physical shops on: February 15, 2014, 02:56:18 AM
see retail doesn't really matter, its a drop in the bucket value wise, depreciating assets.

Store of value back bone currency, e.g. PeerCoin.

1765  Other / MultiBit / change address on: February 14, 2014, 12:12:48 PM
is it that the second address of N addresses that I have is the change address for all transactions.

so say I have addresses 1- 5

1 has 1BTC
2 has 0BTC
3 has 1 BTC
4 has 3BTC
5 has 2BTC

If I send from 5 1 btc to some other address afterwards I would have

1 has 1BTC
2 has 1 BTC
3 has 1 BTC
4 has 3BTC
5 has 0 BTC

Is that right?Huh

then say I send 0.5 from 2 to 4

1 has 1BTC
2 has 0.5 BTC
3 has 1 BTC
4 has 3.5BTC
5 has 0 BTC

because 2 sends 0.5 to itself as it is the change address?

thanks in advance

1766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road 2.0 hacked through malleability, ~4000 BTC STOLEN on: February 14, 2014, 08:20:57 AM
so this was an indirect gox'd

SR2.0 uses Goxing to use as excuse to get coins.

As far as I can make out malibility doesn't work that way.

Any where sr 2.0 users just got Proxy Gox'd

1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized P2P Exchange Proposals: exactly how do you fix the fiat issue? on: February 13, 2014, 02:38:58 PM
it comes by having a plug in to the p2p so banks don't know their not sending to the p2p exchange, or receiving from
1777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / likely hood that even if Gox fixes malleability issues no coins released on: February 13, 2014, 07:18:29 AM
I see two scenario's

[1] Gox software never fixed or

[2] If fixed, then new reason will be given for why coins are not released.

It seems more probable that coins are not actually there anymore.

It is logical for people stuck on gox to move to fiat, because at least they will be have a recognisable claim on any fiat in most jurisdictions.

Gox is now no longer relevant to BTC unless a radical change of business occurs, which looks unlikely.

1780  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good Guy Gox- we owe them some sort of apology? on: February 10, 2014, 12:50:34 PM
Hey idiot, the "problem " isnt new. Its already been discussed and decided of not changing the protocol but the wallet software to handle it.
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/10/mt-gox-blames-bitcoin-core-developer-greg-maxwell-responds/
Stupid ass like you that makes Gox survive today to FUD all the newbies

You know what seriouscoin- fuck you. I'm not spreading FUD and considering the massive hate campaign against GOX for everything that goes wrong, I was trying to add a bit of common decency to this place. You want Gox to fail overnight? Fine- watch hundreds of thousands of bitcoin and tens of millions of dollars disappear all at once and bitcoin to completely collapse. Until someone actually builds, and grows an exchange to be a legitimate successor to gox, we still need them.

The FUD is in making this place a complete fucking troll hole where people like you sit in their basement armchairs and slither in their own shitty opinions that pop out like diarrhea without any respect to common decency.

If you disagree, you could be polite about it for fucks sake.

Not even a word of admitting to be corrected...... Well who give a shit about idiots like you.

Well if I was over the top (probably yes) I apologise even though you probably don't care, but if someone is wrong- It wouldn't kill a person to point it out politely.

I'm extremely pissed because i believe core developers have already contacted Marks prior to him publish this fcking press. Yet he still told lies and not completely truth. What is his intention? Ofcourse for inside trading....

yeah your right and this issue has already been addressed in detail yesterday/day before in public and people still believe GOX, those weak hands deserve to be striped of their coins, and have been
