1761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now. on: April 19, 2017, 05:20:07 PM
I cannot grasp the idea, why would anyon think that bitcoin has been created to pay for coffee at the cafe?

It was created to revolutionize the payment system, and financial sector, but the way to pay by bitcoin for cofee is still far in the future.

It doesnt make sense because of the fee size, so you need to decrease it somehow-but you simply cant.

I would just prefer to use regular cash, or convert my crypto to fiat, just to pay for coffee right?
It isn't hard for me to understand that some people are very happy that bitcoin payment is available in some of the shops, but I dont think that this example is a best use I couls imagine.
It is simple why we may want to pay for coffee with bitcoin, because we want and because we should be able to do it, I can do that with fiat whether I’m using cash or a debit card or even a gift card, so it is obvious we want to do the same with bitcoin even if it is not the optimal way to use it.
1762  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: April 19, 2017, 05:16:05 PM
MLM are not always "scams".

One of the best examples is this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avon_Products
It is by definition a a multi-level marketing company.

There are a lot of accusations about it but there is nobody who will claim it is a ponzi scheme.

And about "early stage". How we decide what is early if we talk about a business established in 1886?
But those are the exception rather than the rule since that is an international company it has been able to maintain that way to market its products but unless you have that big of a market MLM is probably not going to work and that is why MLM also has a bad image in the forum and other places.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: April 19, 2017, 05:12:31 PM
better than waste lots of time in the dice site using an that could be automated with a bot
A bot is there in mostly all dice sites but i think he is talking about additional bot which claims to earn you profit. Even though i haven't heard much about a dice bot i think that it does some sort of calculations of your losses and will help you win.
now it has many emerging software that could be a bot on gambling website. I've never tried it, but I am concerned at the bot robot software contained spyware. we should be very concerned about the safety factor.
Without a doubt this should be a concern not only for something like a dice bot but to almost anything you download of the internet especially if you have a wallet in that installation since if it contains spy ware it will be very easy to steal your coins.
1764  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: April 19, 2017, 05:09:33 PM
I think this is a big  NO.We know that every banks aim for one only goal. That is to centralize an decentralize financial system. And bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and if banks do happen many changes will happen in bitcoins. So i think having bitcoin banks is not good for all of us bitcoin users.
Correct, banks will aim to try to get control over the network so we must avoid the construction of a bitcoin bank, in a way this reminds me of the fight against the creating of an American central bank that happened and we know how that ended the Federal Reserve was eventually created.
There is no way bitcoin banks will be establish if people would not allow it, we want the same system that we are using now, we can simply transact online without the need of a third party and we know banks in real world is govern by the central bank and we are not sure if people who govern are really willing to serve the interest of the people. Here in bitcoin, we are all equal and we have freedom since we can transact anything and anytime we want.
Don’t make a mistake, the only reason a bank of bitcoin has not been created is because it is not going to be successful because we know the truth but when adoption increases to the point the average person uses bitcoin then you can be sure bitcoin banks will being to exist because th average person does not know the truth.

1766  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: April 18, 2017, 07:00:33 PM
If your aim is to get rich with bitcoins I think you are a little late I think you have a way better chance with altcoins instead since the prices can go sky high very rapidly unlike bitcoin, if you are a good trader bitcoin can give you good earnings but not as much as before.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptohunter Is A Genius on: April 18, 2017, 06:52:24 PM
Been following Cryptohunter's posts on BCT for the past nine months.

Found out about PIVX (formerly DarkNet) through one of his earlier posts. Ended up buying a ton of masternodes on his recommendation at 800 SATs. Made an f'in insane amount of money.

Been following Cryptohunter's recent posts on BlockNet and BitBay. Bought big stakes in both.

Up 7x on BlockNet.
Up 3x on BitBay.

So many heavy posters on BCT are all talk. Cryptohunter; the real deal. Maybe not genius; but the only poster on BCT that I will buy on a recommendation.
Even if he is legit the problem with investing by recommendation is that you are not learning anything and you are depending on someone else, if that person makes a mistake and that is very common, you are going to be the one that pays the price by losing money.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost 10 BTC in three days. Should I end my life? on: April 18, 2017, 06:48:32 PM
Losing that much bitcoins with your balance before losing which is BTC25 as you stated is not a problem to you and may not cause you to end  your life.15 Bitcoins is a sick amount to start any other businesses where you can retake your 10 bitcoins.Just like in trading.
Correct 15BTC is probably a lot more money than most users here in the forum have saved so with some savvy business decision recovering that amount of money should not be that hard especially if we consider that he could easily add even more bitcoin to his stash by just buying more bitcoin.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: April 18, 2017, 06:33:33 PM
We are now experiencing the efficient, fast and amazing convergence of technologies which one way or the other greatly contributing to the rise of the cryptocurrencies and making Bitcoin as the King of the Hill so far.

Looking into the future...what do you think will be the scenario involving Bitcoin twenty years from now? Will Bitcoin be worth more than a million or will it ceased to exist? Or will a new crytocurrency replace the supremacy of Bitcoin...?
I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will come anywhere near a million dollars, I think that the max it will go is 100k, and even that is extremely unlikely. In 20 years time, there will probably be a lot more cryptocurrencies and they might overtake Bitcoin. Although, this may seem like a bad thing to some, I think that it would be really great as it would mean that technology is continuing to improve.
I don’t have a problem if a new crypto overtakes bitcoin but in a way it will need to be an incredible step in the right direction if any coin wants to take the place of bitcoin as the current king of crypto currencies, and at the moment I don’t see any coin to be even remotely close to that.
1770  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: April 18, 2017, 06:30:34 PM
Bitcoin will most likely reach $1500 this year. It's holding strong over $1200 right now and even with a drop, it could easily recover and reach $1500 over the next 8 months.
to me i think it is even going to cross 1500 USD level this year and may be reach to 2000 USD level. as we can see that in previous time the price of bitcoin already reached to almost 13 USD level so, i do not think that it is so difficult to cross 1500 USD level in next month or two and after that we can expect that the price of bitcoin will easily reach to 2000 USD level.

If there is no solution to the small block size and slow transaction, the price will be below $1500 for some time.
Don’t underestimate speculators the usability of bitcoin as a currency has been slowly degrading for some time and that has not stopped the price to reach new all time highs so I will not be surprised if the price reached even higher prices despite the fact nothing has been done to address those issues.

1772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: April 17, 2017, 05:23:51 PM
Each has their own thinking and own view on bitcoin. Some say it's a ponzi, but they still use. Some say it's a threat to the economic system, but they use as an investment to benefit out of it. Banks consider it as an technology and have started to adopt it fearing the goodness in it. So if you think it as money it is, as well if you think it's an investment then it is an investment. Nothing wrong in it.
Bitcoin is money, it was created with that explicit purpose, and it became an investment because now currency pairs are traded in the markets like any stock, just look at forex so it is not surprise bitcoin became an investment, but bitcoin it is not a ponzi scheme since it does not follow the principles that a ponzi scheme follows.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: small fee makes transactions faster on: April 17, 2017, 05:20:58 PM
used 0.0001 fee a couple of days ago and it took quite a while, but it went through eventually, confirmed the next day (don't know exactly how many hours, but I had made payment the day before morning, and was confirmed the next morning). Very cheap in my opinion.
But as from now one will use mainly 0.001, don't mind paying up to a buck per transaction if it goes faster, although still haven't measured the speed compared to the smaller fee
Using that small of a fee will make your transaction to take forever to get confirmed, but if that is what you can afford or if you refuse to get on the train of the ever raising fees that the miners seems to want to put us through then good for you.
1774  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth? Welcome to discuss on: April 17, 2017, 05:17:26 PM
Someone has said bitcoin is of no value, in my heart I think they said is wrong, I always think that bitcoin is valuable, but I didn't understand what is the origin of the value of bitcoin, why accept more people, its value will rise? If you have other ideas, please discuss.
Let us simply put things this way anything and I mean anything will have value as long as there is a demand for the thing/item. It is how people want it or rather how many people want it that makes it more valuable. For example a lot of as when we look as Comics we first see is that it is worthless but if you are in the right market and you have a rare comic book then for them it will be valuable. Same as Bitcoin the price of Bitcoin is based on the demand of it.
I disagree with the anything part, you give the example of comics, but comics are a form of art that comes from the US, similar to manga that comes from Japan, comics are not the Mona Lisa but are still a valid form of art and a way to express ourselves.

I don't get why you dispute the point about comic books being valuable. It is valuable for your information. Try googling how much Superman #1 was auctioned off, see for yourself how much it was worth. You basically did not even have any point in your post. Like what Theb is saying, we value things not because of their use or what, but it depends on the person buying the thing. If he values it that much, it is his choice.
My point was that there are more than one way to value things, not only monetary value, a comic book that is worth just a few dollars and will never be worth more than that has value not only in terms of dollars but also in terms of artistic vision.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: April 17, 2017, 05:12:45 PM
I would definatively withdraw the vast majority of the winnings and use it to invest in something like a house, bitcoin or stocks.

Statistics are not in your favor, so if you win big, don't push it but take the winnings and use it to your advantage.

i will also buy a house and lot so that i could have a remembrance from my winnings.
Unless you won the lottery or something close to that I doubt we could win enough in a casino to buy a house and if you do, then you are probably in a reasonable economic position already that does not require for you to earn any price in any casino.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: April 17, 2017, 05:10:07 PM
gambling are dangerous when you have got addicted to the root and can't even handle it. you would act like a mad dog no matter what happened to get yourself feel comfortable temporarily but in the end you would sure regret about it.

It is not really dangerous if you control what you are using to gamble. First of all, Im addicted just like everyone else here however Im sure that I spend less than most of them. When you can control how many that you use to gamble, it is much better than addicted then gamble blindly until you lose everything that you deposit
You are not really addicted to gambling if you can control your betting patterns, maybe you just like gambling a lot but you are not addicted, since those that are addicted get anxious when they have not play for long and will do anything to get their fix.
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail on: April 15, 2017, 01:05:11 AM
Why do you think good altcoins fail to keep going?   It seems there are some that are good and people collectively have put in tens of thousands of hours supporting, but the team decides to give up midway.

Altcoins are similar to any other product so why an altcoin fails, lack of support, lack of development, not enough investment, sloppy management of resources human monetary, lack of marketing or a bad marketing campaign and that is just the beginning.
1778  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin defeats the Chinese government on: April 15, 2017, 01:01:46 AM
I'm still not familiar with how most investments work but if they're earning less from it then that's a good thing. I'd understand that shorting is an investment strategy some individuals use but if the government does engage in it would really be unfair since they have larger influence in how things are run that it almost seem unethical.
very very unethical! I find out that any time the price of bitcoin  make an attempt to be more than the price of gold the people bank of china will come up with they usual trick of regulations of the big exchangers like okcoin, btcc and others and the arm is to create panic  were people will sell off they position. But they have be cut to their size.
If that is true then that maneuver is not going to work for long there is a reason there are not fixed rates between currency's, you can only throw so much money at something before reality hits and show us reality, if people think bitcoin is more valuable than gold then at some point it is going to show in the price whether you like it or not.
1779  Economy / Marketplace / Re: question on money making guides on: April 15, 2017, 12:57:52 AM
Even you read thousands of guide and you are not putting much attention to it and better understanding a big tendency is failing, as you said its only a guide it depends on what skills you have in order to fully utilize and applied in order to make a good amount of money, there plenty of guides here just focus on what you are capable of then learn and make money..
Any success you may have on the internet earning money will not come from a guide, it will come from your skill set, what you know and your experience and to a lesser extent to your experience in the field, so it does not matter if someone gives a method that is capable of making a lot of money if you don’t know how to take advantage of that you will not make money.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make a good amount with 0.01BTC? on: April 15, 2017, 12:53:51 AM
With 0.01 btc or even less, you can make it big by betting on sports or games that you are very familiar with and then just go from there. Right now, a lot of sports tourneys and electronic competitions are being held and there's so much money to be made. Take a peek at sports betting/esports and you might get that 0.01 doubled in just a single game.
It is really not easy to gamble on sports especially when you know nothing about sports.
Sportsbetting also considered as the highest house edge if you do the math.
Gambling is gambling nothing certain , so better to looking for the fastest game such as roulette , you just need to becareful and be patient to reach the target with such low amount.
The edge casinos give themselves in known markets can be very low since they are competing too to get as many wagers as possible from gamblers, however in less known markets then the house edge can be very high I have seen a house edge up to 13 to 14% in some events.
