On this Saturday, we are going to have a quite competitive match like Basaksehir vs Galatasaray.

These teams are at equal points right now and following the leader Fenerbahce from a 5-point distance. While Basaksehir are the second best team in home matches, Galatasaray are the best one as for away matches. They have lost to only Kayserispor so far. Basaksehir don't have an impressive record against them also. Galatasaray didn't lose any of their last 5 head-to-heads in the league. Besides I expect Galatasaray to play with a very improved morale after a derby win. Icardi is in a great form and he will be the biggest threat to their opponent. Maybe Galatasaray might be a nice choice to try one's luck with for betting purposes. But my first choice is both teams to score for this.

I try to avoid betting on a side when it comes to big and competitive matches in the league. Newcastle vs Chelsea is definitely among them I believe. Newcastle's incredible rise in this season has helped them join the top teams of the league at upper positions in the standings. Newcastle are obviously one of the hardest teams to stop now. They made huge difficulties for even Manchester City too and didn't lose to them.

After losing to Arsenal I wonder what Potter will change against Newcastle. At least he needs to be aware of making some change. Because clearly the current strategies don't work in especially big and important matches like this one. Sometimes I say that I wish Tuchel didn't leave. Because I strongly believe that Chelsea's struggles weren't related directly to him. Truthfully I don't expect Chelsea to get a win in this match also.

Of course we are talking about the probable teams to advance to quarter finals considering their performances until this point. However we shouldn't forget that there is still a lot of time to go for the last 16 round matches to be underway. Teams are going to play so many matches in their domestic leagues until then. This is a big opportunity for some teams in trouble to make things better for themselves.

I have said these things especially for Liverpool in fact. As you know they don't have a reliable form in the EPL. I know that their effort in the Champions League has been good after that terrible Napoli loss. But Real Madrid is a huge challenge for them. We are talking about the last champion in the end. If Liverpool don't keep up a good form until then Real Madrid would continue to be one step ahead to advance to me.

Vitality were already like a ticking bomb actually. They barely advanced from Challengers Stage by a 3W-2L record. I hoped them to improve their performance in Major but they didn't. They were even worse and this brought their end unfortunately. They could have used their last chance now if they weren't defeated by ENCE. But even then they would still have a potential to be out of Major with this effort.

Now NaVi are using their last chance to move on. They won on Mirage by 16-12 and we are now on Dust 2. NaVi started this map with a 3-0 series also and they really want this win. I think BIG can't make a comeback and eliminate them. Liquid are also going to use their last chance tonight against Spirit. 1.61 is a pretty nice odd to bet on Liquid I reckon.

I also don't like to watch any driver dominating the whole season in F1. Who would like that in the end?

Of course there are so many people who are fans of winner drivers. But even they must be getting bored to see the season ending very early. If Ferrari didn't start to fail this much quickly then maybe we could have witnessed a fierce championship race between Verstappen and Leclerc. I really think that Leclerc is also an amazing driver and he deserves a title run. I still don't believe in Ferrari much about next season. Because they have shown bad examples to us for a long time. Even if they do good at first again I'll continue to doubt their performance in the long run.

Things are going really bad for Tottenham in the recent times. There is a significant level of drop in their performance clearly. When it comes to their big matches in the league so far, they haven't been good at all. They lost against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle. They got a draw against Chelsea also. This means that they still have zero win in important matches.

Conte must focus on this problem of the team also. They don't have big problems on defeating smaller teams obviously. However they just can't do the same to their biggest rivals in the league now. Tottenham have a really strong squad actually. They have the strength to upset all of those teams. Conte just needs to develop new strategies depending on their opponents.

These are the results of the last 32 draw.

The most attracting matchup is obviously Barcelona - Manchester United. It is like Ronaldo has Champions League brought to himself.  Grin  However it is even doutbful whether he will be staying in January. If he manages to find a favourable team for himself then I think he wouldn't think of staying. Otherwise a really lovely matchup is waiting for him. ten Hag has chosen him for the starting eleven regularly in the Europa League so far. I assume he would continue to start like that in both legs then. These teams are among the biggest candidates for the title. It is quite difficult to guess which side would make it. But I guess I will prefer Barcelona for now because of being in need of money.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 07, 2022, 04:32:37 PM
There is really an Emery effect.  Grin

We have seen it clearly in his first PL match with Aston Villa. They were very effective in attacking. Manchester United were really bad at defending honestly. They gave big spaces to their opponent and Aston Villa players benefited from the chances really great. The second goal came because of Martinez's simple mistake. Digne's free-kick goal was really impressive though. De Gea didn't have much thing to do about the 2nd and last goal of their opponent. Shaw was lucky to score the goal that would have made them hopeful about a comeback. However Aston Villa were attacking dangerously instead. With a game plan like this, Manchester United would continue to be inconsistent.

Chelsea might be likely to lose Nkunku to Real Madrid now. Because there is some new update such as Real Madrid have started to monitor his condition also. It is claimed that this interest might have an affect on Nkunku to change his mind. Chelsea were actually really close to signing a deal with him. They were trying to agree personal terms as early as possible to finish the transfer next summer. But it looks like their job will be quite hard from now on.

Chelsea still need to improve their attacking line I think. I still don't see it good enough despite signing Aubameyang. They need a more reliable striker on the front to increase their effectiveness in scoring goals. One of the reasons why they are losing points is definitely related to this issue.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 12:14:05 PM
There is an Aston Villa - Manchester United match also today.

This is going to be Emery's first Premier League match with Aston Villa. We all know about the Emery effect on many teams so far. Maybe Aston Villa will also be one of these teams that Emery makes a much more successful team. But it would be too much to ask from him to do this right away now of course. He will need some time to know the team first. Therefore I see Manchester United as quite close for the win already. Their problem is just not being able to score multiple goals in one match easily. Otherwise they haven't lost any league match for many weeks. Maybe this one could be another close match but I think Manchester United will win by a close margin such as 2-1 or 1-0.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 04, 2022, 05:29:26 PM
Manchester United seem confident about convincing Dalot and Rashford to sign a contract extension.

I would like to see Rashford staying especially. Because he is still a young talent for the team in the attacking line. Maybe he isn't always a sharp-shooter but his general effort so far has been quite good. The more he finds chances in the starting eleven the better he performs. He has got 7 goals and 3 assists in 16 matches in total so far. As Ronaldo is on the verge of leaving the team as well the team need Rashford a lot now. I know that they have Martial also but I see Rashford as a more skilled striker than Martial to be honest.

People were mocking Messi about one thing before he joined PSG. They were comparing him to Ronaldo in terms of being able to play in various teams. They were thinking that Messi wouldn't be able to perform as strong as his performance at Barcelona. I must admit that I also had big doubts about him because of playing for Barcelona for so many years. It wasn't going to be easy for him to adapt to a completely different game plan playing with different players.

His first times at PSG weren't impressive also but it was normal. After some time he started to adapt quite well. And now in this season he is just performing not much different than his times at Barcelona. He has proven that he can do just as Ronaldo when he goes to a different team.

I agree with the opinions on Juventus. However I still see them among the title contenders in the Europa League honestly.

I'm aware of the injury situation at the team now. They are dealing with many players who are injured at the moment and this is another big factor that is holding them back. Their performance while not having this many injuries wasn't very impressive too though. But I started to see some improvement by Juventus in the Serie A recently. They started a winning streak I mean. This is a good sign for the future hopefully. They have a good squad to be able to win the Europa League title also actually. There is a lot of time for next round matches and the injured players can heal until then. After that I will be hoping them to show a good performance here. Allegri just needs to be as successful as possible to remain at the team.

Newcastle are definitely one of the impressive teams this season. They have lost only one match which was an away one against Liverpool. They are among the best away teams so far. Especially their win over Tottenham was really impressive. Because it was the only point loss for Tottenham in home matches at the same time.

On the other hand Southampton are far worse than Newcastle now. First of all, they are the worst home team statistically. I don't think they can resist Newcastle until the final whistle. Newcastle beat them here last season and they can do this even more comfortably this season considering their effort so far. I expect a Newcastle win and the odd is 1.93 for that.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 03, 2022, 08:11:37 PM
Actually I think that Atalanta have no difference than Milan when it comes to playing against Napoli. Because Napoli have already proven how capable they are by defeating some of the title contenders. Atalanta are another target for them. Of course its being a match home is nice for Atalanta but this doesn't change that their job is still difficult here. In their last head-to-head match Napoli defeated them 3-1 in this stadium. While in a very impressive form like this, Napoli can do this once again.

Napoli lost to Liverpool in the Champions League a short time ago and I wonder if this would be enough for dropping their momentum a little. I still don't think that they will lose though but maybe Atalanta would draw with them in the worst case. Atalanta are one of the solid defense teams but they aren't as productive as Napoli. If Napoli score first then Atalanta might be in a really big trouble.

Mesela Arsenal Manchester United'a kıyasla çok daha iyi gitmesine rağmen Old Trafford'dan çıkamadı.

Teams like Club Brugge and Frankfurt seem to be the most in trouble teams on paper now. Because there aren't many teams that they can eliminate among the group winners. Club Brugge missed the chance of finishing the group stage in the lead by a small difference actually. Porto have taken it from them like in the last moment.

On the other hand, Club Brugge at least seem more promising than Frankfurt. They at least have some experience in the Champions League and they might prevent a disastrous result against some of the teams. But I can't say the same for Frankfurt. I see only Porto as a team that they might be able to eliminate. But they also have recovered a lot recently. This might be the end of the road for them.
I don't want to say they are the most problematic team in the last 16, but I have to realize that they will be the unfavorable team in the match against a stronger team. On paper quality speaks for itself, and on the pitch it will be different but I don't expect these two teams to make it to the semi-finals. My guess is that their journey will only reach the last 16 this season if Manchester City, Napoli or Real Madrid are the opponents.

I agree with you.

When it comes to seeing the performances, things might change really quickly. For example, who could have expected Villarreal to make it to the semi-final last season, right? They eliminated very powerful teams like Juventus and Bayern Munich. Especially Bayern Munich were like a nightmare to smaller teams on paper. But Emery created a solution to their style and shocked them. Of course I wouldn't like to mean like Club Brugge or Frankfurt will do the same this season. But there is always a chance for this as long as they have the right game plans for doing this. But I'm also not expectant in that way truthfully.

It looks like Daniel Ricciardo is really close to becoming the third driver for Mercedes.

This must be still good news for Ricciardo because he hasn't been able to find a new team for himself until now. He has been speculated with some teams like Alpine and Haas but there hasn't been any positive or negative development about them. In fact, Alpine preferred to bring Gasly instead. I think that their next season could be really interesting with two young and competitive drivers.

Coming back to Ricciardo, it would be nice for him to be in one of the strongest teams in this situation. He would be like the backup driver for Hamilton until Hamilton retires. In this time period, I wonder if Ricciardo would like to leave if he gets an offer from a team as one of the main drivers. Because we don't know when Hamilton will retire. Maybe he will continue until winning his 8th world title.

Manchester United are said to be after Bayern Munich striker Choupo-Moting as well. I don't understand this interest if it is really true of course. Because he is like 33 years old now and there is no meaning for Manchester United to try to sign a player who will soon be useless. He isn't a superstar and he wouldn't be a reliable striker for them.

Bayern Munich would be eager to sell him there is no doubt about that. They must already be looking for a striker to transfer next summer. Manchester United should look for a much younger and talented striker if they really aim this kind of a transfer. It wouldn't be bad to sign a good striker honestly. Because Rashford is not very consistent about scoring goals and Ronaldo will leave as well.
