1781  Other / Off-topic / TESLA WILL BE THE FUTURE on: September 23, 2020, 08:47:35 PM
Who's anyone in here who does not want Tesla car? I mean anyone should dream of this futuristic car that Elon Musk designed.

They just announced that Tesla's 3rd model will be the cheapest Tesla that you can buy in the market starting at $38,000 still expensive but this is worth all the cents that you paid for. Not just the parts, but it is also design wise, most beautiful Tesla car that they've created.

What are we expecting from the Tesla's Stock? What will happen to electric cars competition?

1782  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not sell under 20.000$ ! Why you do ? on: September 23, 2020, 08:37:42 PM
This is an old thread but it still resonates with the current time. I won’t be selling anything under the ATH either & why would I. With traditional fiat currencies tumbling bitcoin will moon next year.
We all do have this limit when it comes to pulling our investment, some says that 10% is enough some says 20% and so on, but all of this should also depend on the market situation, just take a look at the market right now, with so much DeFi on the run bitcoin can barely reach $12K. I also expect ATH this year, but it seems impossible as we go on the end of the year. I'm not trying to spread some negativity, that's what I just see.

Do not sell yourselves short!
Short term trading with bitcoin is better to make profit than just holding actually, but the risk is higher.
1783  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want a utility to save all your PMs? on: September 23, 2020, 06:37:00 PM
I'm the 18th person to vote and I voted yes, it's 50/50 now, so I guess there are people who does not like to have their PMs be downloaded which I respect. But I think it is part of our history that we should not forget how good or bad it is. I wanna see my PMs again, so I could read some of it when I grow old, just to mesmerize things here in the forum. I hope there will be a download button for the PMs, for those who voted No you can just ignore it tho.
1784  Economy / Economics / Re: Big in Japan: giant Gundam robot makes its first moves in Yokohama on: September 23, 2020, 06:10:31 PM
I don't think that there is vanity with this one, I guess this is just right, making the robot that also gave them a multi-billion income. The only thing that is wrong is the timing, but if you are searching enough, you'll know that it started a few years back so making an excuse of insensitivity here just because we are struggling with pandemic is absurd. This is what we get when we enhances our engineering skills. Kudos to Japan.
1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New breed of bitcoin investors? on: September 23, 2020, 05:29:41 PM
Although the survey sample is small, it reveals positive results for Bitcoin.
Yeah I can agree, small respondents can make sense in survey, and it uncovers some part of bitcoin investments.

Despite the circumstances we are experiencing, we have taken Bitcoin to the best position with a good perspective towards the future.
I believe that there will be place for bitcoin in the future, but we should not take this as pure reason to buy bitcoin, make some realization first if you really want or you just ride the tide with bitcoin coz you see it rising, ready yourself for it coz no one is really sure where bitcoin is heading. However I see a strong support for bitcoin, imagine sitting at top for a decade.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder Everyone: If You Don't Have The Keys, Then It's Not Your Crypto on: September 22, 2020, 05:00:37 PM
Sorry for your loss but I suppose this could serve us all a lesson to consider using a DEX instead, though I think those DEX's may have low daily volume and prices aren't as attractive as compared to centralized exchange. Imho.
You are right about the DEX exchange which has a small daily volume which has the advantage of being able to fully control our assets.  but centralized exchanges or large exchanges such as Binance, Bithumb, Bittrex and many more, have security that is constantly being improved so that it is not easy to hack.  It is very risky, but as users we also have to be vigilant and not put all the assets on one exchange, you also have to have a secure private wallet such as using a hardware wallet and the like.  security is the responsibility of the asset owner.
Binance also hacked as well so there is no hack proof exchange yet and could be never possible as well so people have to take responsibility of their coins and store on a hardware wallet or paper wallet for long term, desktop and HD wallet for short term.
I agree, there is no hack proof system of security, even the cryptography has its limit. But some may ask why there are exchanges that has no reported cases of hacking like Huobi. It does not mean that if it don't happen to you, it will not come after you, though I'm not wishing them a bad luck to get their security be compromised. Still one of the safest way to store crypto is on hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor.

Choose exchanges only when we are going to trade that coins in the near future.
There is nothing much of a risk when you let your funds sleep in the forum for like a day or two, the risk increases when you just leave it there for a while. Or exactly when they are compromised.
1787  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin’s Hash Rate Reaches New ATH on: September 22, 2020, 04:01:50 PM
One thing I cannot explain at the moment is that Bitcoin is having a lot of good news like some companies are buying into Bitcoin and the number of bitcoin miners increases after the halving but the price of bitcoin falls. It was worse than in 2019 as growth slowed down.
Now everyone should understand that adopting bitcoin by a company/companies does not mean nothing to the price, it will still vary to the demand from the existing market. Besides, you got to inject a lot of money to move the bitcoin price. It is noticeable how the price of bitcoin is in low range, probably many of investors are enjoying on what is happening with the altcoin scene right now.

The ATH hash rate of mining has increased but the ATH price of bitcoin has yet to be surpassed.
Hash rate has  nothing to do with price as long as the miners don't sell. There will only be another ATH when we overcome what's the highest demand for bitcoin last 2017.
1788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have Good advice for investors on: September 20, 2020, 08:13:42 PM
Technical analysis has always been an important part of crypto world that most newbie traders ignore, and no veteran would ever ignore.
Technical analysis is not that so important to, IMO, what's can you get from technical analysis when the market is unstable?

Veterans do not need to use those TA in order to trade, they could trade however they want, even according to some news they could buy and sell, they are veterans and they know what they are doing however the difference is they know TA and they check TA and it is up to them if they want to use it or not, however if they do not want to use it that is option for them and if they want to use it that is another option.
To be honest, TA is just a props to be called a good trader, they are just drawing lines and circles and triangles on the chart, especially with bitcoin? I just laugh when someone do it, like how is that technical when you just follow the pattern from the old movement. Better to see the bigger picture at the current time where you can relate bitcoin, I call it a weather for crypto.
1789  Economy / Speculation / Re: If market crashes, BTC will crash twice as hard. on: September 20, 2020, 06:22:07 PM
Gold is not something you need a lot of to make money though,
Who told you that gold is for making money? the main purpose of gold is to store wealth, though it is volatile enough to make some gains.

I know gold companies who are happy about finding few kilograms of gold somewhere, they just do that because they believe there is gold to be mined and they need to do it because the other option is... let the gold be there?
huh I mean who would not be happy if they found a kilo of gold? lol they were created to mine gold and have gold, why would they let gold be beneath the ground, we should value gold with our fantasy money HAHA

So, when a gold mine is found, it is a HUUUUGE income, literally billions in income as well, so compared to bitcoin it is boring most of the time but super exciting suddenly whereas bitcoin is not super exciting but not boring it is something in between them most of the time as well.
You find bitcoin boring because you are not finding gold unlike them, but we already have seen a million moment from bitcoin which made it be compared to gold these days.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deposit UNI = $50 Bucks on: September 20, 2020, 05:29:32 PM
It seems to be a tactic employed by exchange to increase the trading volume as UNI is the talk of the town right now . But hey I wouldnt complain too much as you are essentially getting extra 50 bucks for depositing the coins which you already own.
That's what they should do for the hype of it, they need more volume so people will be attracted to sell their UNI on their platform, at the end of the day it is the exchange who made the most of the money and not the traders. $50 seem to be a huge reward for depositing your UNI on their platform, but the fees of going in and out will kill you eventually, they know what the fee will be one they got a high volume of UNI on their platform.
1791  Economy / Economics / Re: Enough with BITCOIN SAVE us or the economy on: September 20, 2020, 04:53:21 PM
In essence, bitcoin is used as a means of payment and supports the economy because the price is fluctuating so that it can be used for investment,
Bitcoin supporting the economy is a vague idea for me, though it works that way a little bit. Bitcoin's cap is still little, I can't see it supports one country's economy by being an investment, exchanges are only the entity who makes money to it.

what will happen if everyone knows / uses bitcoin and the total supply has been used up in mining, will the price going stable or more volatile than now Roll Eyes
It depends actually, if all bitcoin is mined there are only two probable event to happen it will either be stable coz the people buys it all or it will be still volatile coz there are still unbought bitcoin in the market, it is just a matter of how decentralized network is doing.
1792  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Query Regarding Hardware Wallets on: September 20, 2020, 03:43:38 PM
One of the main advantages of hardware wallets, is you generate the private keys securely on the hardware enclosure; without internet connection, and without potentially having malware around.
But then double check your hardware wallet in case it is already tapped, I've read some articles that sellers in Amazon are putting malwares on hardware, with that they can just generate their own address thinking it was your own. Just an addition to this. The brand does not matter at all, the price differs because of the design.

Meaning, compared to when you generated private keys on your computer or phone, the private keys could have possibly been leaked due to these computer/mobile devices being online. Generating the private keys on your computer/phone and then importing it on the hardware wallet totally defeats this purpose.
Probably the safest storage of crypto is the hardware wallet since it is not connected to the internet and possible leakage is avoided.
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it now when ethereum is down? on: September 19, 2020, 11:02:08 PM
Ethereum decline occurred due to unstable market conditions that could even be said to be bad besides that, the price of GAS is high
Many make investors not transact using the ethereum platform and what happens demand will be less maybe when both factors support ethereum price will go up
Yeah it could be, some people might not be willing to use ethereum as of the moment due to continue rise in fees brought by the over hype for DeFi projects running on ethereum network. But the price of ethereum is significantly high compare to its price 3 months before, it doubled up actually gaining strong stand in the market right now. Wait til the upgraded version comes out and see the power of ethereum, altcoin king!
As far as I know, meron na rin sa Pilipinas, not so sure if they are really trying anything about it, wala pa ko masyadong nababalitaan.

1795  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Wins Bank Charter Approval on: September 19, 2020, 10:14:35 PM
It really makes zero sense to be a bank in the crypto world, what are they going to do get money and pay savings but also give loans and make people pay it?
At first I don't really see what they are trying to make out of crypto, coz crypto suppose to be eliminating banks from third partying, and here they are getting crypto banks. But then the reason is simple and great, they want to offer people digital assets in partner with banks so people could trust it, by that crypto industry will be bigger.

As you can see that is the base of financial world, working with money that doesn't exist and crash when that debt reaches a high enough point and get bailed out by printing money so the money that doesn't exist they promised would be printed out of existence to save them.
We all know that money is a lie lol but we can't believe to ourselves that we can live without it.  Grin

True luck consists not in holding the best of the cards at the table;
luckiest is he who knows just when to rise and go home.

John Milton Hay (1838-1905, American statesman, diplomat, author, and journalist)

So lucky people leave the table at the right time and we could see people rarely leave the table when they are in a winning streak.
Ohh hit and run technique  Grin Thought it is just good in the carnival games. Gamblers don't do that, fortune seeker does. If you're a gambler then you know what you gotta do, you ain't playing a single game wishing you could win a million dollars. Gambling is risking, good if you're in a winning streak, bad if you're doing the opposite haha.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inspirational gambling quotes. on: September 19, 2020, 06:53:20 PM
2. “Hoping to recoup is what ruins the gambler.”
- This is like chasing for losses, when the eagerness of you to win stars then it will make you hard to stop even though you are continuously losing.

This is sooo real lol the greed of gamblers clicks more often when they lose a round, I don't wanna be a hypocrite it is me sometimes and it often ends up being broke. If you're a gambler, you need to have a discipline, right money management will keep you away for huge losses. Knowing your limit will keep your fuel to gamble each day. Self-discipline is the key in a not so rekting journey in gambling  Grin
1798  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 19, 2020, 06:31:50 PM
As I expected, now the number of pregnant women is increasing, as part of this we expect more baby deliveries in the next few months and I see this as a very bad situation. Hospitals these days are needed for covid patients and other severe diseases, doctors are indeed needed also. Instead of paying attention to those who are sick, they will be called for an emergency of delivering a baby. Just keep ya' heads up!
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Number of Bitcoin ATMs Hit 9,680 in September on: September 19, 2020, 05:42:44 PM
This is really strange because I think that the US government is the one that rejects and fights Bitcoin the most, and Trump said this in a public statement.

Anything that makes a profit is good for the economy and will not be labeled as a threat if it does not threaten the national currency or, as they like to say there, national security. Given that Bitcoin is worth about $200 billion in global value, it is still fairly harmless to the United States - and as one U.S. congressman said, they consider it a small baby.
Some countries find Bitcoin as a threat when in fact it does not give anything nor take anything from them. I don't see anything on bitcoin that they should consider as a threat, if they do then there must be something wrong with their economy confidence. Bitcoin's global value is just at least a dozen people in New York.

As long as it can be controlled, and as long as it creates profits and jobs the current adaptation via crypto ATMs will continue.
Crypto ATMs is spreading quickly, hope it gets to reach my country and experience using this, regulations will keep this in a box.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 18, 2020, 05:29:26 PM
For gamblers who have less experience maybe yes but it's a joke if you believe that "safe bet" do exist.
There is really a safe bet, if the team is winning you bet in sports like 5x in a row then most probably betting on it gives to the better chance of winning.

The fact that we are gambling, we are facing the risk already based on the odds we are betting, the higher the odds, the lower the risk and same goes with the opposite. As a gambler it's important that we should act mature so we make a mature decision, it's not necessary to learn from our mistakes as we can learn from other people's mistake and the first thing we need to learn is understand the basic especially the risk involve in betting.
Odds are given when there is something unfair, so you get an odd in winning, this does not mean that the team you have bet to won. Knowing the background and doing your homework before betting is necessary if you really want a safe bet, or let's just say a good decision. When you take risk in gambling, it's all the fortune that you need to get.
