Middlefinger?

What about both middle and ring finger up with thumb over index and pinky finger? The two fingers up represent the two bars and the thumb, pinky and index fingers form the B. Sort of like flipping someone off with both the middle and ring finger.
1782  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it that a lot of people don't understand what a 'troll' is? on: June 15, 2013, 07:35:53 PM
I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because uh some people out there in our nation don't have trolls and uh I believe that our education like such as South Africa and uh the Iraq everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. er should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future.

It has to be practical, easy to do since people will possibly using it throughout most of their day.

Think "Bit" and "Coin"

I almost like the sign that the Room service guy does for a Tip in Home Alone:

That actually is the sign language sign for money. But I saw that in the US it's different. Sign language has different dialects depending on the geographic location. But I think the sign you are referring to (and the one from video 2) is recognized around the world.

Or a way to use bitcoins if you are blind, maybe a talking wallet?

That would actually be great, also because that would probably mean that bitcoin adoption has become widespread (until then those kind of specific utilities will not become available/profitable).

I didn't see that your second video included that same sign for money. I like your two ideas, but they're kind of hard to do at first. Do you know what the sign for "Bit" is as in "Computer Bit"?

1785  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin getting boring and old news (and losing value) on: June 15, 2013, 06:25:54 PM
Still so many people who do not know about or understand Bitcoins. On the other hand there are millions of dollars being invested in Bitcoin and business after business starting to accept it as a payment method. I'm sure there's going to be plenty of interesting developments as time moves forward to keep you entertained.
1786  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Value of BTC is NOT connected to Difficulty! on: June 15, 2013, 06:22:43 PM
I would think in the long run yes it will be connected. Difficulty changes are rather consistent while BTC value fluctuates. Both seem to be going up though. If the difficulty dropped to 1000 tomorrow and it was really easy to get a coin what do you think would happen to the value? It would go down I'd imagine.

In fact, I think the difficulty and the cap limit on Bitcoins is the main reason the value goes up at all. If the difficulty stayed the same and there were unlimited coins do you really think Bitcoin would have caught on as fast as it did?

1788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New US-based ASIC Bitcoin Mining Hardware Manufacturer - ASIC Technologies on: June 15, 2013, 06:21:50 AM
I would think you could get at least ONE working machine together with photos/video before asking for pre-orders? I mean if you're selling one unit for $300 then it shouldn't be that hard.

1796  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Do you have to Backup your Wallet.dat after each new address? on: June 13, 2013, 06:46:14 PM
I have read a few stories of people backing up their wallets and later after trying to restore the wallet.dat find only address up until the point the backup was produced. Has this been changed in the new released of Bitcoin-qt or is this still an issue?
1797  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Speed up block reindexing? on: June 13, 2013, 05:14:52 PM
If my computer is shutdown unexpectedly almost always when I turn on I get a message from Bitcoin-QT that the blockchain is corrupted and to reindex. Unfortunately this takes all day is there a way to speed this up or bypass it completely?
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Other ways to get BTC on: June 12, 2013, 08:09:54 PM
If you like math and psychology then you might think about playing poker for Bitcoins. There's a few poker sites out there you can check out the Casinos section of our website for a list our favorite being Seals by far.

You can play in freeroll tournaments without having to invest any money upfront. The freerolls are hard most of the time you have to get Top 3 out of 100+ people, but if you win you can start building your bankroll at the cash tables then cashout to BTC.
