As many clubs has tried signing players of their choice, I can't see any news that Arsenal FC signed any player, I just see the transfer news of their former captain Aubameyang Goin to Barcelona on a loan deal, so I am confused, is it me that didn't see the news or Arsenal did not sign any player.
I show concern because before January, I was hearing that Arsenal are eying so many players but no one show face. I am just an Arsenal fan 🙊 that's why I asked.
As far as I know, they did sign only one player on deadline and most Arsenal fans were furious about how their club released a number of players and signed only one less known player worth only $2 USD. The signed player is from Colorado rapids which is also owned by the boss, so I guess the signed him just for the sake.

Players In:
Date                 Player        Position Age         Club               Transfer/Loan Fee
Jan. 31   Auston Trusty   CB     23   Colorado Rapids    $2 million

Players Out:
Date   Player                 Position   Age   Club                Transfer/Loan Fee
Jan. 8   Ainsley Maitland-Niles   MF   24   AS Roma    Loan through June 2022

Jan. 18   Sead Kolasinac   LB           28   Olympique Marseille   - Free transfer (contract cancelled)
Jan. 20   Pablo Mari           CB           28   Udinese   - Loan through June 2022
Jan. 27   Calum Chambers CB            27   Aston Villa   - Free transfer
Jan. 31   Aubameyang    CF            32   Barcelona   - Free transfer (contract cancelled)

I think they also signed USA National team goalkeeper Matt Turner. Although this will be completed in next window but this is a done deal and great addition to squad as a backup option for goalkeeper position. Rest this window , they majorly focused on offloading players whom they don't need anymore. Possible in next window they might offload some more players like Leno.

Can't imagine that this defeat had to end in a very dramatic penalty shoot-out. This was a huge disappointment that Man United faced despite playing with his squad.
From ball possession and good scoring it doesn't score more goals and misses more because the players are not so consistent I've seen Rangnick don't include Cavani in this squad I don't know why he didn't appear even though if they were both Ronaldo up front maybe that's a very big change.

Reason why I think Cavani should be named in regualr squad is because I think pairing up with Ronaldo , this will give them results in attacking. In the past, they have given results when United were facing hard time while scoring. Really not sure of reason why they are cutting out Cavani's involvement.

^^ Ronaldo penalty was a good opportunity but it's a team game and others should have done well to score. United were good it just that the result didn't end the way they wanted. They had good possession and good amount of shots and there were some very close chances. I am still thinking about why Cavani wasn't available for this one, he should have made a great difference.

The Wolves - Arsenal game is going to be really difficult for both teams I believe. Arsenal haven't already been winning for two weeks in the league. And Wolves are another tough team to beat for Arsenal. But Arsenal are still a solid team now. Maybe they are struggling with a striker problem now but they can still win this game somehow. But when I think that even Liverpool barely defeated Wolves by 1-0 away, I think that Arsenal would draw with Wolves by 1-1 or 0-0. And as long as Arsenal don't add a decent striker to the team anytime soon, very difficult games are waiting for them.

That's really a tough game for sure. Wolves have been playing quite well and Arsenal are on a bad streak now but I think Arsenal still got this. With 2 games behind I think Arsenal will be hoping to play out their best and win 3 points for themselves. For them it is crucial as these games for the CL spot. It should be a thrilling game to watch.

For Arsenal, after Tomiyasu went down with injury the streak of losing games started on (well just not right away though). They need to find someone who can be his proper backup.

One of the things that support Barcelona the most at the moment is having a new striker and winger. It will greatly affect their performance in the match.

Recent signings are great for Barcelona. Aubameyang has good pace and Traore does too, Ferran Torres is a wonderkid and he has lot to offer so I think some of the these signings will be fruitful in future. I still don't think they are complete yet- maybe a strong midfielder is needed is what I feel but current midfield is decent too. Should work for them this season but they gotta think of it if they want to make a strong squad.

with this news about Mauricio Pochettino, many news channels are saying that manchester united is on alert because they want Mauricio Pochettino, I don't know if this is true or not, but I have a question:

would Mauricio Pochettino be an ideal coach for manchester united?

the guy was at PSG where he managed to keep PSG at the top of the table but in the champions league it was a disaster and now the guy if he was at manchester united where he also has excellent players wouldn't he do the same thing? do manchester united just want to only win the premier league?

Pochettino does have a tactical mindset and on the plus side he also has experience of managing PL club so I think he has fair chance of getting United job. And honestly he can do a good job in my opinion. He did a great job when he was at Spurs with how he made a great squad and I think he can make a great squad here too. United are not in best shape and I think Pochettino might be able to fix this up. Signing Pochettino doesn't guarantees winning Premier League. Right now I think the target should be to fix the squad to be back as a PL title contender again.

I agree with what you are doing by not betting there.
Although MU is very favored but on the other hand sometimes their performance is also not very consistent, especially against the teams below them.
other than that 1.29 I don't think it's worth betting there as it's still a bit riskier if you look at the total available bets.
I also won't be in this bet even though MU is still very favored

Should be good match with chances being given mostly to those who are in bench for United. So likely Cavani and Sancho might feature in this match and also possible that some defensive changes will be there. And honestly, I don't know why but I find more confidence in the team on bench more than the regular squad they select against the PL matches. Should be an easy match for United but well let's see, United have tendency to drop these kind of matches.

After Fiorentina sold Vlasevic, their plans for the season were fulfilled  Grin Now they will be fighting for the Europa League, I don't see them as a serious contender for 4th place.

Yes true, I don't see any strong player in that team now. Torreira, Callejon and Piatek are the names that I heard of and have seen them play but rest I have no idea or say haven't caught my attention. However, I am interested in watching Arthur Cabral- recent Fiorentina signing for Vlahovic replacement. I honestly didn't thought them as contender for 4th place before Vlahovic sale, there are too much Serie A teams who are playing far more better than them.

I would like to know what matches made you think that Barcelona are improving their level of play. In my opinion, they are degrading - returning to the outdated Tiki Taka strategy. With such a lineup of performers, this strategy is meaningless, plus it is 2022 now, most teams already know how to successfully counter it. As for transfers, yes, they will strengthen the team a little, but Atlético's squad is still better.

IIRC, Barcelona were at 9th-10th when Ronald Koeman was sacked but now they stand 5th on the table. Don't you feel that is a sign of improvement? Barcelona are on a road to recovery but yes its a long way to go if we compare what Barca used to be once. Their squad consists of young players but over the time they will get to a strong level. Its a long way to go but I think they are going in right direction. If you think that Barca out of the blue just gets world class players and becomes the best team in the world then that is impossible given the struggles they are facing right now. But still despite those struggles, the fact that they are putting so much effort and every player is making effort in the squad is really really commendable.

Manchester United will not continue with Greenwood.  As a result of such scandals, football players are usually dismissed from that club.  Now what I'm wondering is, which club will be the other club?  He is a very young football player with potential.  He shamed himself.  I felt sorry for him.  His career may even be over.

It's still an ongoing case and nothing has came out public for clear. Greenwood is a great player but the recent allegations are a tough one and understand United suspending him but I think it's just temporary and depends on what comes out. He will back on pitch if the allegations are false.

Regarding being sorry for Greenword- actually I would say don't be sorry for him. Least we want right now is people like him (if he actually did it).
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 03, 2022, 07:58:52 PM
I don't think that Bayern will have both Haaland and Lewa at the same time.

Lewa will surely get some good offers in the coming transfer window as I heard that Man City are interested in him. So, if he gets a better deal than what he's getting at Bayern right now, he might accept that and Haaland could also be a huge replacement for Lewa. And at the end of the day, Bayern have the trend to buy Dortmund's star players.

I also doubt that they would bring in Haaland. Obviously who wouldn't want Haaland but given the teams that are after him and the price tag he has and to mention his high agent fee , I hardly think Bayern will be interested in it. They might have thought about it but those thoughts wouldn't have made it further. Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn last year said that transfers beyond 100 million marks is unthinkable for them then but maybe situation has improved in one year but I still don't think they are able to keep up with the cost of bringing Haaland.

This doesn't sound right, in the midst of all these Greenwood scandals and all they can have this to say... I dont think so, they should be preoccupied to try find a solution for their once upon a time hero. All in all bring these talks also undermines the work the current manager is doing which could mean he might underperform which we all dont want to see... But if it happens certainly not a bad signing.

It was discussed earlier that even if they want to bring in a new manager , he still will have consultancy role which is also great. United are trying to find a fitting manager for themselves for quite a long time ever since Ferguson left so they gotta keep on making these changes until they find the best for their team who can ensure consistent results.

Although, I do agree that these rumours might distract the current manager but who knows maybe even he will try hard further to overturn board's mind?

Sevilla are continuing to follow Real Madrid closely in the standings from four points behind. They got two draws in the league recently and there is a visible drop in their form. And their next game is going to be against Osasuna away. Osasuna are one of the teams that made a solid start to the season but dropped down too much in the standings after a point. Sevilla have a nice opportunity to start winning again. But they should still play aware here. Because Osasuna are still a big threat for every team in the league. But I believe that Sevilla will win this.

Yeah they are only team after Madrid in form, rest feels like have lost their touch. Sevilla have been the best defensive side in LaLiga so far with 16 goals conceded and with Osasuna having no regular scorers it is very likely that Sevilla will win this one and secure 3 points and move ahead. Sevilla have lot of scorers in their team so probably they will win 2 goal cushion easily in this upcoming match.

I see that most of those discussing the match between Barcelona and Atlético have doubts about the fairness of the fact that Barcelona is ranked as the favourite. In the meantime, the odds from the bookmakers do not change in any way (even slightly changed in favor of Barcelona):

Atletico are also having a tough season. Last match they were able to get points out of their match against Valencia after they scored some late goals. Xavi has good options in Barca and his tactics and strategies are improving Barca level of play. With recent signings of players from PL like Traore and Torres I am not surprised Barca are favourites here. Also it is a crucial match between two top teams so anything can happen. I am on Barca on this one, Barca are on their road to recovery but I don't see any sign of improvement in Atletico's performance.

the kicker reports that vlf wolsfburg wants to sign Max Kruse from union berlin with all power still in this transfer window - MK is no stranger to wolfsburg ... the striker already played for the wolves in the 2015/16 season
i hope the transfer doesn't happen and Max Kruse can continue on his way with union

That's a good signing.. with Weghorst , their best striker close to sign for Burnley they do need a replacement and I think Max Kruse will be great signing for them. Although he is getting old but still it should work for them for some time and maybe they plan to sign another striker in next transfer window. Problem for Wolfsburg is that Weghorst departure is sudden and they need to find an alternative for now. Best should be to sign on loan for now until they find a proper replacement till the next transfer window.

1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 30, 2022, 04:07:16 PM
Some huge signings before the transfer window end for PL teams. Spurs signed Klusevski and Bentancur adding more to their attack along with Kane and Son already while on other hand Van De Beek moves to Everton on loan deal becoming first signing for Frank Lamapard. Luis Diaz is another great signing for Liverpool this transfer window and Burnley are very close to sign Weghorst from Wolfsburg who had a great season with Wolfsburg last season.

The last time I checked the quotes for the fact that Inter would be the champion there was something like 1.1. Since then, the tournament situation has not changed much, and there are fewer games left until the end of the championship, so we can assume that Inter's chances have not become worse. As for Juventus, I doubt that they will fight for anything more than just 4th place.
With the competition in the Italian league this season juventus will be very happy qualifying for the champions League competition for next season, the likes of Atlanta and Lazio  has risen there standard and makes the league more competiting. I think the two Milan club we go with 1st and 2nd positions. The other two remaining positions will be  Napoli, Atlanta juventus and Lazio will all fight for it.

Why Lazio and not Roma? Lazio are two points behind Roma and Roma have better goal difference. In addition, there is the Mourinho factor. Juventus have stepped up in this transfer window, but in my opinion they are more likely to compete with Roma than Atalanta (although everything is possible if Atalanta has a series of unsuccessful matches).

Yeah Roma has been playing great but also I think you might wanna include some more names like teams like Fiorentina along with it but I am not so sure about Fiorentina being the same after Vlahovic departure. The gap is too close till top-9 or 10 so there are more clubs to be added in worst case scenarios but I think the best chance is till Lazio on the table. 15 rounds more to go...

Statistically Lampard did not stand out too much when he was Chelsea coach and can he bring Everton back up to the top or not?

Lampard managed Chelsea for one and less than a half season. He came in after when Maurizio Sarii left Chelsea for Juventus and actually in that season Chelsea did good under Lampard as manager. Chelsea finished 4th that season compared to previous where they finished 3rd under Sarri. Lampard is a new manager and has lot to learn before he joins elite group of managers but right now he is right on the tracks of it. Everton back to top under him feels hard for me but they should become better under him.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 30, 2022, 07:49:19 AM
Lampard is set to become new manager of Everton. More than a year since he was sacked as Chelsea manager and now he is set to sail his new jorney as Toffees manager now. Everton have great players and they have got a good and a strict manager here. Lampard probably might wanna go easy on the players now as his previous ways of disciplining players of Chelsea players went wrong and he didn't used the players right when he was at Chelsea. Hope he pulls back Everton back into PL race and probably help them finish better.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2022, 05:20:24 PM
Manchester United should definitely focus on strengthening their defense and midfield. After that, they can focus on their attacking line the most. Because they are not very good at defending now and they have big problems on creating many goal chances in some matches. Maybe it is tactical but they can still solve this problem easier by making the right signings. As Manchester United already have a strong lineup, they don't need to replace many of their players.

Very good point- they need a good strong defender to play alongside Varane and also a good strong defensive midfielder who is very committed and there is only one names that pops up in my mind and that is Aston Villa's midfielder John McGinn and I really feel that this will be a massive and value signing for United and right now there are reports of United interested in the player.
