1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could be the Symptoms of Getting Loss in gambling According to you? on: April 03, 2023, 10:48:03 PM
And these are listed below as these are according to me.
Those five things you mentioned would be the possible scenarios that you can experience whenever you're on the losing end and it's best to have some form of solutions that you can keep in mind because it's going to happen a lot of the time as losses happen frequently in gambling no matter what.

Aside from the five on your list, the other thing I did back then whenever i'm losing badly is instead of stopping I would extend my session impulsively then I would slowly lose my perception of time and realize that i've spent several hours just from gambling.

I'm excited for the WEU tiebreakers later today and the first one will be Tundra vs Gaimin Gladiators, without looking at their recent results I would lean on Gaimin here but their recent performance isn't the same after they dropped a map against Nigma during their last series while Tundra is looking like the better team as they went 2-1 in the last week.

Tundra would be a value bet for today's tiebreaker matches as their odds are hovering around 2.10 at the moment and I don't think GG should be the slight favorite @1.68 when they lost 2-0 in the previous matchup.

For the second tiebreaker (OG vs Ooredoo Thunders) OG @1.55 should win as they finally got their stuff together and beat Entity Gaming in the last series to avoid relegation and even potentially take the last spot for the Berlin Major.

I don't have any bet for the remaining tiebreakers Monaspa vs Nigma Galaxy as these will all be a bo1 and I think both teams are performing at a similar level but if I have to pick one of the two i'll side with Nigma Galaxy as their results look better.

I feel so relieved to get my second win and secure all three points in round 7. I still answered the questions in the first round since I still want to see how well i'd perform if I would've been included in the qualifying round.

Based on the matchups posted on the previous page i'll be facing whoever wins between Danydee and Saint-loup since i'm placed at 22nd. BOL  Smiley

It's going down the wire for me and joker as both of us only got one point from yesterday's questions and are still tied at three points each.

The seventh and eighth questions are the only difference maker as we both failed in the 10th and got the same prediction in the ninth question.  Wink

1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone here tried Gambling Arbitrage? on: April 01, 2023, 12:17:48 AM
My question to everyone here is how to increase the profit margin. Does the profitability depend on the betting events you chose for example if I chose sports then which sports should I bet on? I know from my previous topic On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the listed one here? that soccer is the most sort after sport or go for another game.
The betting events don't matter as much aside from the betting limits. If you want to increase your profit then you need to find better odds and one way to do that is to register in different bookies and betting exchanges until you find the best odds on both sides. Another alternative is to look for promotions as there are decent promotions where they'll offer boosted odds and you can use that opportunity to do an arbitrage bet but the betting limit aren't that high though.

These celebrities and public figures should be  fined for trying to glorify gambling without stating the negative aspects when it is over done.
Then again that fine is nothing when the big streamers are making so much from promoting gambling.

In the end, it comes down to the platform and they should give out harsher punishments if they care about the issue but I think that's unlikely when it's still possible to do gambling streams on Twitch as you'll still see some of the streamers continue to promote gambling once in a while.

1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Tournaments - Ever Heard of it? on: March 30, 2023, 02:22:20 PM
I've participated in an online slot tournament once, it was free to join and the top three players would only get the prizes. Luckily I had landed some good hits to win one of the three prizes I remember my prize was around BTC.01 or BTC.02  and there weren't a lot of participants joining so that helped as well. It was one of the best tournaments i've joined as you rarely get the chance to play equally with everyone and most casinos usually have weekly wagering tournaments that would just let the high rollers stomp the competition.

I also had Sabitzer in my prediction Tongue I wasn't aware that he's injured but at least both of us had him so we'll be both starting at a disadvantage.  Cheesy

On the bright side, my BTTS prediction is holding up nicely still need one more as I need exactly two for the point, and a bit excited to see how the Bucks-Celtics game will turn out later today.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 30, 2023, 12:06:19 AM
Both Ooredoo Thunders and Tundra came out with a big win in the WEU DPC earlier today. Shocked I expected Gaimin Gladiators will be the ones sweeping Tundra but both games went in the way of Tundra and the networth lead just kept growing until the end. That win was so crucial for Tundra I think they just secured themselves a spot for the Berlin Major because their last series will be against Monaspa and I think they can easily take them down as long as they keep the same performance. Team Liquid on the other hand is only one series win away from taking back the first seed thanks to that loss.

The stakes are so high in the last four series, all the underdogs would need the win to avoid relegation while all the favorites except OG would prefer to get the win to avoid unnecessary tiebreakers.

1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 29, 2023, 09:05:41 PM
I hope everyone would agree with this list:
It checks out for me as I've placed a bet on all those four and they're even in order as I place more bets on both football and basketball because of the popular big leagues while I've been betting less on Cricket and MMA as I prefer the other sports. Aside from those two, I would mostly go to esports and NFL if the season already started but there are some esports events that I would prioritize even more since they're usually a one-time thing, unlike the big leagues such as the NBA or NFL.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Crypto Gambling: What is the closest/best successor to Directbet.eu? on: March 29, 2023, 04:26:36 AM
A few years back the only site that I can recall is dbet, their sportsbook didn't require any account to place bets and I had a decent experience using their sportsbook. After some time I couldn't access the sportsbook anymore which was unfortunate as I thought their sportsbook would only take time before they'd gain customers as they somewhat had the directbet vibe to it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168849.0

Here's a screenshot from the wayback machine luckily they had a snapshot of the homepage.

As of now though I haven't seen any good bitcoin sportsbook that carries on the concept of directbet when most sportsbooks require an account.

Gaimin is so strong, there is no doubt about it. They are playing out of the world. they only proved that they really deserve the number 1 spot in the WEU. They literally beat the entity with 2-0 in their favor.
Entity Gaming doesn't look that strong based on their recent results so it's expected to see Gaimin Gladiators sweep the series.

I also think they deserve the first spot in WEU but we might see a potential rematch between them and Team Liquid at the end of the week since it doesn't seem like Team Liquid will drop another series unless one of the two newly promoted teams could pull another surprise.

You were right @ralle14 once again! Team Liquid are very good high level team in DOTA2.
Thanks, luckily Tundra had one of the easiest schedules while Team Liquid had a rocky start losing to Gaimin Gladiators which caused the odds to be this close.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 29, 2023, 12:41:20 AM
Has anyone here tried it out?
Which do you prefer, traditional slots or skill-based slots?
I still prefer the traditional slots over the skill-based slot because I remember playing the skill-based slot game once and it had a bigger house edge. To me, it felt like no matter how skilled you are at playing that slots it kind of evens out because casinos will most likely increase the house edge as most of their players would be curious to test it out. I like the new type of slots as it's good to have changes but for now, it's better to continue playing traditional slots until the providers find ways to improve the skill-based ones.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a casino ever run without the government's awareness? on: March 29, 2023, 12:04:26 AM
When it comes to the government's awareness i'd say casinos can only pull it off for a certain time because I remember seeing casinos that didn't have a gambling license initially then eventually got one after they found enough success.

True. Gamblers are also curious these days and something new won't be too confident with us anymore, we're looking for assurance that the casino we're at has a license.

Well, it's true also that a casino can operate without government's presence but if they've been found to be operating under their territory illegally, they'll be subject to their terms and rules.
It still depends on the type of license because the Curacao license that can be seen in most crypto casinos doesn't provide that much value.
