1781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 18, 2023, 06:11:31 AM
I don't agree with all the points done by the OP. Specially listening to friends for profitable coins and jumping into new coins that are launched.

One should do their own research and trust their own judgement before inverting. Then once the project crashes you know whom to blame and then only you will learn your lesson. Similarly don't go with the newly launched projects unless you are looking for the quick gains and flash trades, if you are up for it. If you are looking for long term altcoins, give them at least 2y observation period before buying in.

In short, altcoins are less likely to give you stable income in long term than bitcoin.
1782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to maintain profitability in crypto trading on: May 18, 2023, 06:05:06 AM
Trading is subject to market risk. So if we think of avoiding losses, then automatically our profit will increase. If at start only, if you think about profits, then nothing will happen, but if you slowly adapt to the market and then do the necessary trades, then definitely you will see the balance in green. But it doesn’t mean that you will trade big amount for little amount of profits. Use your brain and trade according to the situation. At last don’t overtrade. Trade with the amount that you can afford to lose.
The profits will come with time, I think no-hurry should be a motto among traders. While there are many who manage to trade and profit in short periods the majority of traders can't handle that. Traders should take their time to adapt to the market and how it works, how to place trades and when to cancel them if necessary. There are times when no profits will come in but we need to get over these times and continue to play it.

The bigger profits will come when bigger movement starts. This should be the goal of every trader.
1783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 17, 2023, 06:50:59 AM
A day job is no substitute for trading. Earning online is not equal to trading, please don't make this confusion. There are many day jobs which are done online and they provide a stable income. Trading is not a stable but risky method of making money considering the market movements and the trades are placed. I would not recommend members to leave their job and go for trading, that is a foolish move to make.

Simply speaking, the chances of losing money are more common with trading for an inexperienced person.
1784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 17, 2023, 06:46:58 AM
The reason why crypto based casino became popular is the anonymity or pseudo-anonymity that crypto provides over credit card and other monetary systems. The lack of identification of these gamblers make it safer for them to gamble at an ease and continue their habits without the watchful eyes of their family members and governments. The casinos understand this and hence they avoid credit systems as much as possible.

Such casinos with credit card payment exist but here we are interested in the crypto ones.
1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: May 17, 2023, 06:36:56 AM
In most custodian wallets like trust wallet staking is available for most crypto currencies including trx.is it better to stake such a coin or hodl it
I would personally never stake any coin. You can never trust anybody with your coins and when you need those coins you might get into problems. Why take those risks when you could keep the coins in your wallet ready to spend or save.

Don't go into the greed of making money just by staking, when a certain website scams or shut down you will never know. There have been so many exchanges getting shut down like this and people still don't learn their lesson.
1786  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 17, 2023, 06:31:29 AM
Not sure how that works because I think logically speaking the more you spend the more you deduct from the income. Goes by the simple math as well, hence I have questions how you got a different conclusion. You could say that you are attempting to earn more and then spend more. But I understand that earning more means having to set up a bigger position or a bigger business before starting to earn.

Still spending should be limited as per your earning and never increased without thinking twice.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin vs XRP? on: May 16, 2023, 07:18:15 AM
Not sure where you are getting these metrics and predictions but I hope you are not blindly following some influencer or social media scum who is trying to dump their bag and make money off you. This forum might be biased towards bitcoin but for XRP, I would be be skptical everytime. While you might make some quick gains and some cheap thrills, the long term value of XRP is way lower compared to Bitcoin.

In crypto currency we always go with the long term value and not short term gains.
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: May 16, 2023, 06:58:52 AM
The US government and the cryptocurrency market are having a lot of ups and downs, and it seems like they're headed towards a very important conflict. This conflict will determine the fate of many people and companies involved in cryptocurrency. They might have to shut down or move to a different country.
I think you are overthinking. The government really does not have much control over crypto but they rather use the power on the people to coax them into not using crypto or put crypto in a negative light. However you can continue to use crypto as you wish. Just that the conversion of Fiat and crypto and spending of crypto might become difficult. Still what I have seen governments are diplomatic and they rarely do something that makes the common people go completely against, rather they will try to get taxes from the people.
1789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: May 16, 2023, 06:49:22 AM
Assuming we are talking about real newbies who have never had any experience in trading, Spot trading obviously, that is a no-brainer. Without understanding how this market works and how it manipulates people who don't know about the market, they are likely to lose money in very short periods of time with other modes.

Any type of trading other than spot trading is a gambling with EV negative. Only spot trading is an EV positive game.

With prior experience in stocks or any other speculative market, they can go into these risky trades but I don't recommend it.
1790  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the difference between banks and big whales in crypto? on: May 15, 2023, 06:48:59 AM
Whales take advantage of the market movements but banks are not playing with our money in all cases. Both are totally different from each other and although you can compare like that, it does not make sense.

If you want to win against the whale you just have to play against it. Buy when they sell and sell when they buy.

Banks are essential establishments that you will need to survive in a fiat world and keep fixed deposits or recurring deposits in. Use  them as per your need in order to complement the shortcomings of crypto.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: May 15, 2023, 06:44:48 AM
A bounty hunter and an investor are two different terms - one can be both but one does not imply the other. Good investors don't hunt after dust shitcoins but most bounty hunters are doing that only. If the bounty hunter is diligent which is rare, they may be able to focus on well performing projects again that is a rare thing for the projects as well.

I have seen some users who came to the forum as Bounty hunters but eventually stopped doing it to move on to investing and signature campaigns. I think this change is possible for most users if they are willing.
1792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: May 15, 2023, 06:38:36 AM
You will not find all these things in a single person but most of them can manage, these are of course ideal situations and nothing is ideal in this world. What we can aspire to have all these characters but it becomes difficult and I dont feel it is necessary either.

Be the person who remains cool in a tight trading situation and only then you can make money. Buy low and sell high without keeping day trades running, that is a simple method to keep it cool and running without panic.

Don't try to be the ideal investor but be a realistic one.
1793  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com not paying out my money on: May 15, 2023, 06:13:38 AM
Been watching the forum for a long time now and most of these threads usually mask the OP's intention. True, casinos might block withdrawals or delay it if within their own TOS and that is to protect their own interests and business. The OP should make a scam accusation if they think it is appropriate in the proper manner and then allow Stunna to review that. The reputed casinos have till date never scammed its users like this.

Just making a thread like this without backing evidence does not make sense. Both sides evidence needs to be there.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 12:49:44 PM
But your story looks like a cookup stories, how did your suddenly invested without him knowing about the kind of wallet to use and where to buy bitcoin.
Lets cut them some slack and assume that its what happened which is maybe not a poor attempt to draw some merits.

Still advising a family member who earns a specific amount per month to invest a part of their savings into bitcoin is a good advice as long as the person investing knows the risks involved and the nature of bitcoin, its problems with the government and so on.

Assuming "Bd officer" to be Bangladesh origin, I doubt how much they are actually investing in bitcoin because of their government's restrictions on crypto.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 14, 2023, 12:37:44 PM
Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue
Mate, you expect gamblers to read before acting or the other way round? They would not be gamblers if they did that.

Budget is supposed to be crossed, that is the rule in gambling, if you are not crossing it you are not a gambler. And drinks? Obviously yes for most gamblers. This combination is often fatal but most of them have been drowning in despair already.

Calling a friend? Never! Why share your own bad things to relieve the tension and hopelessness? Just keep drinking and get sick.

Truely gamblers end up in a vicious cycle, they can snap out of it but things have already taken a bad turn for most.
1796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading constitution. on: May 12, 2023, 11:07:57 AM
Trading does involve the emotions but calling it a complete mind game is not correct in my opinion. You can say that trading needs skills and luck and you would not be profiting of you were only making predictions based on your gut feeling. The gambling aspect of it comes from the fact that you might get addicted to it and there are non-Spot modes of trading that are very risky.

If you can keep track of how to trade, mainly buy low sell high, you shouldn not get into trouble. That too if you are keeping a ledger and following your sells with your buys.

Just don't trade only based on emotions, see the charts and previous trends and then decide what trade to place.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 12, 2023, 11:00:28 AM
People are so dumb. You take safemoon as an example but if you are also watching all time chart and you will be seeing how this shit scam token dumped so hard. People care about gambling their money to the shit scam coin. They never fear to lose it.

They think that if betting in shit scam token like that is far better for them. Altcoins being used only for gambling purpose.
Indeed many shitcoins have just been methods to gamble instead of supporting a project which can lead to some new innovations. The onwere release the coin as a method to make quick money off the pockets of enthusiastic newbies while the advisory committee gets its cut from the company in cash or kind. Then the onwards run the vaporware for a fixed period of months before they dump on the crazy investors and then run away without a trace.

Even worse are the HYIP/ MLM scams which dont even do this but only spread the name and get people to buy it while nothing is actually happening in the background.
1798  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: May 12, 2023, 10:53:44 AM
Investing in crypto requires good knowledge to be well positioned in the future. Investing in virtual currency in the virtual world requires intelligence to gain reputation as a good trader. Treading must spend its assets and then invest and hold. Investing Bitcoin in Cryptocurrency is definitely possible to accumulate good wealth in future. There is no future risk to your money when trading bitcoins. Holding Bitcoin is better than investing in all other currencies.
Holding is easy but often requires patience which is lacking in most people. Those who can continue to be patient will be profiting because this is a long term game done once a while. Day trading is a short term game but requires multiple trades. There are people who are just holding but that can become monotonous for many people, newbies might not get the interest to trade if they only hold. Hence the logical approach is to keep a part of the money for long term holding and no trading while another part for trading as soon as prices rise and buying back at the low.

Eventually trading becomes more streamlined for everyone who attempts it. But risks are always there.
1799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 11, 2023, 03:04:23 PM
It should also be taken into account that cryptocurrency trading is a speculative activity, and can be dangerous for beginners. If you do not have sufficient experience and do not understand the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, you may lose your investment.
Dummy trading is what I suggest to immediate newbies. That helps them learn without losing money if done honestly and meticulously.

That depends on the person's mindset or belief in crypto investing. Because if it's true that you can't make a lot of money here, I hope no one tries to trade and no big companies will invest here and even well-known people in the business world and popular celebrities will not waste time investing here if they know they said that they won't get anything. Do you get what I mean? Maybe the people who fail here may be that the coins they chose were just hyped and they didn't really know that's why it happened.
Of course crypto gives its owners the opportunity to earn big. This only differs on how the people seize the opportunities and not lament about losses or missed stuff. Attempt to seize the price now and buy will eventually lead to a bigger price to sell in future but dont cry over the price when you chose not to buy and missed the selling opportunity at the next all-time-high. Celebs only come here to pump their bags, they have literally zero care for any project.
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: May 11, 2023, 02:59:40 PM
If you just want people to call you a bitcoin investor, then by owning 100 satoshis, you are already a bitcoin investor.
True indeed, the beauty of how bitcoin has been created, it does not separate you from other people but accepts you as an investor even at the minimum amount bought. Indeed you can just buy any amount whenever and whichever price you wish to, no questions asked. But to know how to keep your coins secure you need to have some basic security knowledge and about wallet software available.

What people go wrong with is buying shitcoins and going for get-rich-quick schemes where there will be big showy pages but zero returns infact you will get scammed. So those things dont come under bitcoin investing, rather it is only the spot trading of bitcoin.
