17861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eBay and PayPal Confirm Upcoming Separation, Support for Bitcoin Payments on: April 13, 2015, 11:22:53 AM
too bad i can't see how bitcoin will take advantage of this, with high fees and chargeback still there, i hope it boost the price at least
Paypal is one of the most accepted means of payment in the world, if you can pay with bitcoin in almost every ecommerce, yes, this is a huge advantage for bitcoin and its users

still they aren't going to address those two big problem i've mentioned, above average bitcoin users will not use it anyway, only newbie who now nothing will find it good

it's only good for adoption in the end nothing else
17862  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: NEW Faucet Rotator - www.faucet-rotator.tk on: April 13, 2015, 10:56:33 AM
there is a way to put your btc address one time only? it should be integrated in the rotator, it's a wasting of time to enter it for every faucet
17863  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: April 13, 2015, 10:53:33 AM
freebitco.in is the most amazing faucet I've ever earned . It is also among the faucet longest and most effective so far. 850 satoshi per hour is not bad at the moment. I think it is the best place to start for a newbie about Bitcoin Crypto Currency.
And perhaps no one hit "10,000" or even "9998-9999" Wink
I have signed up there over a year and have rolled at least 500 times , but only once hit "9995" .

i think that someone has already won that amount, if you see in the top ten there are people with many bitcoin, i doubt they all come from the gambling game

also you have 1/10k chance to win it, if 10k people are playing it, then 1 of those 10k person will hit the 10k
17864  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is like a subprime bubble on: April 13, 2015, 10:40:25 AM
current price isn't a bubble at all, it's a correction price and a steady grow from the last year, people should keep in mind that the 1200 peak is no where near reflecting the real btc value at that time, it was only caused by willy bot, mtgox and other crap like that
17865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin solo mining with cpu on: April 13, 2015, 10:35:43 AM
don't waste your time with that abysmally low hashrate, it's pointless to mine with such power, buy bitcoin instead they have a fair price even for average joe now

or you can invest in some cloud(hashnest and bit-x, the rest are not that good)

17867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinTelegraph Email Scam/Phishing/Virus Attempt on: April 13, 2015, 10:30:49 AM
i've added the domain of those to be blocked by my msn(i still use it), plenty of scam going on nowadays, hacker see bitcoin as a easy money too apaprently
17868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and holding BTC without mining.. on: April 13, 2015, 08:12:15 AM
the difference is that, you will not increase your total bitcoin, by holding only, while with mining, if you manage to reach the roi point, you can earn more bitcoin than the amount you started with

If that's the case, then why not trade and make them?
I have seen people talking all the time to buy on rumors and sell on news, and if an average joe gets a good command on that, he might make a good living with BTC.

trading is more risky, instead mining can generate a guaranteed return in the end, if you have very cheap electricity and you paid a low amount for your miner
mining is equally risky. you have to take care of the management and the risk of hardware failures. bfl and gawminer has shown us how reliable mining manufacturers are. even if you have cheap electricity, the difficulty increase is unpredictable and you would still have chances of not getting roi thus making no profits.

i still see it as a less risky, you don't need to be a pro at mining, where for trading you really need to have some serious experience, or you will end up losing everything

mining is more noob friendly for sure, this is way many newbies ask for it

Though mining is noob-friendly, still it isn't budget-friendly. Power bills will surely eat your investment if you do not have an effective and efficient hardware. To be successful in mining, you must have the powerful hardware and a low electricity bill. GPUs and CPUs aren't that effective in mining nowadays, though there are still some altcoins out there that can be mined with those.

if you are really worried about your bills, then those guys can try cloud mining, there is no bills there, and roi is the same, since those company use the best miner available, it is also less stressful then setup your own miners(no maintanance no noise or ewverything)
17869  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 13, 2015, 07:35:28 AM
As much as you can buy and willing to get, 20 years from now are a long time bitcoin will probably not exist until then but if it does then it will be really valuable in 20 years
I don't know why people keep saying that bitcoin will achieve some mythical and great value in the future. I studied bitcoin economy and so far we don't have any ground to base that assumption. Bitcoin economy as for 2014 and 2015 is quite disappointing. And yet people still believe that one pump peak from November of 2013 is foreshadow of 'true' bitcoin value. And that may not be the case at all.

don't forget that 2012-2013 was quite disappointing too aside from the mega pump(1200) and the 230 pump(lasted few days), if we take in consideration that the 1200 peak, was achieved with great manipulation and super bot

we can say that a thing like this could happen again easily and in a few instants during 2015(which btw is not finished yet, we are at 1/3 of it only)

so it's not that mythical as you said...
17870  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining 1btc a month? on: April 13, 2015, 07:25:29 AM
A single rig which can produce 1 BTC a month net? There s no such thing available. You would need to get a few S5 miners and have access to cheap power.

well it depend, if you roi'ed already or not, and you electricity bill too, without knowing those two thing, you can't be so sure about it

if you invest in a legit cloud, that offer reselling of your hashing power, it should be easy to reach such amount
17871  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: I need some help with a transaction on: April 13, 2015, 07:20:49 AM
Yeah I know I think the bitcoin app on my phone caused it. I have done another transaction from the regular bitcoin wallet on a pc and the site works fine.

what application was you running? so other user can avoid it in the future

and for better alternative here a useful link http://bit-post.com/featured/top-5-bitcoin-wallets-on-android-5378
17872  Economy / Services / Re: First Avatar Campaign - Up to 0.016/Month For Your Avatar! on: April 13, 2015, 07:17:41 AM
Oh no.. This isn't good, no more individual avatars.

At least make the avatar campaign add an avatar to a users' existing one like mine. :-/ I might need to start one now Tongue
Don't worry. I don't think rates of this campaign are good enough to made people give up on their avatars. I would definitely keep my avatar for now, if the rates were much higher I would reconsider this offer, for now there is no way for me to apply.

What rates do you think would be fair?

the rates are very low, i was expecting at least 0.1 per month, i'll not give up my avatar for any less amount than that

You want almost $25 just to change your avatar!?!? That's crazy!

25 per months is crazy? that is less then 1 dollar per day, i don't find it crazy at all

I think avatar campaign make more less payout than renting participant's signature because we can't make a link on it

i know, in fact with signature you can make ten time the amount i'm proposing(1 btc per month), so 1/10 should be about right imho
17873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish TA on: April 13, 2015, 07:04:59 AM
It's definitely on the downtrend right now but with bitcoin, anything is still possible. It might not make a lot of difference given the current scenario with supply still outweighs demand mainly because the infrastructure and adoption rate wasn't catching up as fast as we thought it was. Nevertheless, what matter most is when the halving took place next year which should signal a change in direction.

Ok.  Where do you think the price of bitcoin be when the halving happens?

Price would do just fine where it is now. We are obviously out mining (non-speculative) demand so it may give a near perfect balance. Of course, if some seriously good shit happens before then, it's entirely possible to double price. That's what you wanted to hear, right?

But what if BTC stablizes around 150 when the halving happens?

look at the positive thing, less hashrate/less diff, more opportunity for many people in the world to join the mining experience

and at that price it would be a great chance to buy in a big chunks, bear market by then should be k.o.
17874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Support is holding! on: April 13, 2015, 06:58:56 AM
Do you mean you're supporting bitcoin by holding or something else? If so, I agree. I plan to hold my coins for a few years but in the hope I can spend them once they reach their true value. By holding longterm you're essentially taking coins out of circulation so theoretically that should help keep demand up especially if you're accumulating more along the way.

no he mean there is a great support right now, at 230-245 and we won't fall much farther

What ever happened to btc being stable between 220-300...lmao!

Bro you suck at this, just give up already!

For everyone else.. We'll see sub $200 in days if not a few weeks.

Just hold tight!

well it is stable, last time i checked 230-245 is in the range of 220-230, so no i was right, and like i said to you in that post, stable does not mean stuck at one value forever...

and i'm still holding yes or investing

Bro you called it being stable from $220-$300.. Just that statement alone that you made on the other thread proves that you dont know what stable is.. 30% swings in 4 weeks is not stable...
You also said it was stable between $250-$300... Now $300 is a pipe dream and $250 seems like it wont be coming back any time soon! Even $240 feels miles away.

Just please stop spreading false info here. Some users may see you proclaiming btc stable between $220-$300 and that's just not the case. No one with half a financial brain would consider 30% swings in 4 weeks stable. Its considered just the opposite my friend.. Its volatile!

240 is miles ahead...Huh we are at 238.3, it seems that you are trying too hard to troll

as i said small swing are ALWAYS expected no matter what the price can't be stuck at one value forever, this is the nature of an asset

this mean that you must give a range of stability, and mine was 230-300, and we are still in this range

there is no false info on my statement, you are talking shit

17876  Economy / Economics / Re: How can services that use the bitcoin blockchain help secure it? on: April 13, 2015, 06:45:19 AM
people often say miners are the most important, which is true to a certain extent. but having as many people as possible running full nodes is equally as important.
Nodes are the only think that keeps bitcoin alive, not miners. How do you bitcoin will survive in the future when we will mine all bitcoin and mining won't be possible anymore? Only running full node help securing stability of blockchain, and you don't have to mine to achieve that.

miners will still hash to confirm transactions earning fees. Satoshi suggested that fees per block would eventually exceed the block reward and continue to grow as mass acceptance and usage was reached decades from now. So they will still earn a block reward even when the "block reward" is zero.

this can cause an inflation problem though, full node are still a valid alternative, that could help secure the network, but there must be a reward for at least who that are running the full version of them

17878  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: S4+ Possible specs on: April 13, 2015, 06:16:35 AM
if those spec are true it look worse than s5, 2000/1155 : 1400/600

less then double hasrate but more more than double the wattage
17879  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S4 Quieter fans? on: April 13, 2015, 06:14:23 AM
I was told about these fans
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181027
by Dogie, apparently the High static is a big thing to worry about so I purchased two for a different miner I have in hand right now a Thunder X3.

I picked up a few of those a couple of months ago based on dogie's recommendation.
They absolutely will NOT work to properly cool an S4 in average summer temps across the US.
If it is only one S4, and heavily underclocked (how are you changing the voltage? just curious) and you have it in a room with the AC then sure, they work. Otherwise those fans are for S3, S5, etc, not S4, they are too weak.

you should look at cfm spec when purchasing one, their cfm seems high enough (62.5), maybe you need something a bit higer like 90 of cfm

if you can find a way to replace them with 140 fan(you need to remove the case i think) you could resolve this issue
