If I deposit Euro into Kraken, does it automatically get converted to USD or am I allowed to hold a EUR balance?
You are allowed to hold a EUR balance. At least as european with SEPA transfer.

Their USD market is pretty tiny due to not having a very good banking relationship there, and state by state issues. It's primarily an EUR exchange.
17942  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Carolina church shooting: Nine die in Charleston 'hate crime' on: June 18, 2015, 04:08:38 PM
I know this sad event happened in a church...
but how do you know specifically it was a hate crime?

Read up on it. He left someone alive so they could report what happened. He 'justified' his actions by saying 'I have to do it. You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.'

He's also pictured wearing apartheid symbols. What a loathsome maggot.
17943  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: June 18, 2015, 03:48:01 PM
Demand is the big thing.

Back when the silk road was around there was millions of dollars of bitcoin going through there and driving the price up.

Silk road was abolished and a lot of the demand for BTC went with it and the price slowly went down since then.

I'm not saying Silk Road was 100% responsible, but it certainly played a big part.

Just my thoughts.

There's no shortage of other dark markets out there. Many of them have volumes in the tens and hundreds of thousands of BTC. Silk Road was definitely the mainstay of the economy for a long time, though. It's far more diverse now.
17944  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: June 18, 2015, 03:17:38 PM

I never really why these people sell at a loss. It's easy to see the potential for bitcoin to get back to its previous high and even further, but people just need patience so I agree and think it's silly selling at a loss. I'd rather take the gamble and hold for mega profits in the future. These people will be kicking themselves if bitcoin goes to the moon again.

Emotion is an extraordinarily powerful thing. The best traders have conquered it and that's what they feed off in the markets. History is littered with people who gave up at the lowest moments.

The BTC market must feel like a gift from heaven to the pros because I'm sure it's many a holder's first dabble in any type of trading. They would be like lambs to the slaughter.
17945  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: June 18, 2015, 03:02:31 PM
and signing message will not cut it, because some of those were not carrying any address in their profile

A message posted in their profile is useless as there's no logs of them and anyone can change it on a whim. They need to be on an unedited post on the forum from a long time ago so people can prove they account belongs to them without a doubt.

You're right. That's what this thread is for - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

I guess there's still the risk of the person quoting it being an alt but it's better than nothing.
17946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official Lamborghini for bitcoin thread! on: June 18, 2015, 02:49:27 PM
I've owned a couple of quasi supercars. I don't think I'd ever go there again. In the UK it doesn't inspire appreciation. People just tend to think you're a flashy twat.

Staying under the radar is far more peaceful and more fun. I'd go for a stinky old banger with a few hundred grand's worth of WRC technology bristling underneath.
17947  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: June 18, 2015, 02:45:21 PM
Hi, OP, I think you can make, up to 0,05 BTC/week with faucets.
I use only faucets with pay on faucetbox and I follow the list on the website. Usually I do a rotation every 2/3 hours and I earn daily about 0,007 BTC. If you have patience in compiling captcha it could be a nice method to earn some coin, especially for newbies.

How much time does that use up per day?
17948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women Who Call Out God's Name During Intercourse Should Be Jailed on: June 18, 2015, 02:44:10 PM
I'm in the clear at least. My orgasms customarily begin with a couple of hail Satans and round off with a salute to L Ron Hubbard.
17949  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: June 18, 2015, 02:41:00 PM

Dont get yourself under delusion that the next bubble will be at $2000 and after that the price would be stabilized at $1200. It is 2015 and people are not stupid to fall into another bubble anymore because the peak of 2013 has burned alot of people.

Memories suddenly become an awful lot shorter when there's the belief that there's money to be made. People will talk themselves into anything when greed strikes.

This deflation has been epic and could be far from over yet but the reasons for another buying frenzy are arriving every day. It won't succeed without a few more bubbles on the way. It isn't necessarily helpful overall but if you throw in limited supplies, a small market cap, tiny number of users and future potential it's inevitable.
17950  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 months from now on: June 18, 2015, 02:36:59 PM
Looks almost impossible at this time: June 18, 2015.
We don't know what will happen in near future but I don't see any sign for this to accomplish, sorry.

Come on. We're only $559,750 or so away. Where's your sense of perspective?
17951  Economy / Speculation / Re: back to 220 tomorrow time to sell is now on: June 18, 2015, 11:26:29 AM

at the moment OPs prediction is a bit random with no market activity supporting this hypothesis

Twas ever thus.

Is it good ?
No, sir. I thought it sucked the sweat off a dead man's balls. Try Ex Machina or for a more old school approach Colossus: The Forbin Project.

Thanks. Ex Machina was good. I like old school, I'll have a loot at Colossus: The Forbin Project.

If you haven't seen Demon Seed, that's worth a watch too. It has plenty of eerie moments.
17953  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is a Bitcoin whale? on: June 18, 2015, 11:14:08 AM

The exchange may be the most possibilty the bitcoin whales.

This is a very good point. At this moment in time no laws are being broken by exchanges who rig the market or front run trades. As long as they spit out coins and fiat there's no reason for them not to use customers funds either.

They do have an incentive not to as if it ever emerged they'd lose customers very rapidly, but I'm not sure a few exchange operators think that strategically.
17954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best escrow website? on: June 18, 2015, 11:09:30 AM
There are people on here with much, much longer track records as escrows than any website and a fully traceable transaction history. I'd use one of them and not bother with a website myself.

17956  Economy / Economics / Re: Has The Lower Price Really Been Great For Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2015, 02:49:24 AM
Good for individuals buying now. Maybe not so great for the folks running the infrastructure. There've been a few casualties due to the stagnation but equally they should've accounted for that possibility when setting up.
17957  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why dont girls like me? on: June 18, 2015, 01:30:44 AM
Stop caring so much, start talking more. Be good, don't be 'nice'. Be firm regarding the things you don't like. Be positive about the things you do.

The more you focus on them, your own passions and the world surrounding you both, the more the self consciousness will fade away and the more the interaction will flow.

The person opposite you is not an unreachable goddess. They're simply another person who may be crapping themselves just as much as you might be. They eat, shit, worry and want to be loved and wanted like anyone else.

Don't be an asshole because you think it might get you places. I could never respect any woman who responded to that type of playground psychology and if anyone treats me mean to keep me keen they get told to fuck off.

There is no such thing as 'leagues'. How they look or their social status has little or no bearing on whether they might be interested in you. Same goes for you.

When I was as thin and pretty as a renaissance prince no one gave me a second look. These days I'm a tub of lard with a humongous beard. Since my, er, lifestyle change I haven't gone on a single date in recent years that didn't end up going places. Go figure.

The only thing that might have changed is that I've long overcome the pedestal thing and I'm interested in them as a complete human, not a trophy or delicate flower or the mindless gateway to a new level of existence affirmed by having sex with them.

I don't radiate any sense of desperation or neediness, in fact more often than not I'm looking for reasons not to take things any further because I'm not sure whether I can be arsed any more. I'm not indifferent or an asshole, but I know my own value and I'm not willing to compromise it. I've probably said no to more people than I've said yes to and nearly got beaten up a few times because of it.

I will treat everyone as I wish to be treated. If they decide I'm a prick then I'm confident in knowing who and what I am and that they're wrong or I'm reminding them of someone else.

Looks, money, exercise, that's just tinsel.

I'm sure it sometimes feels like an insurmountable barrier. It isn't. It's just a case of being true to yourself, continuing to grow and creating and embracing opportunities to meet as many women as possible. When it does happen for you, and it will, it'll feel like ancient history.

Ahhhh..... I knew I was doing this shit wrong. asdkjahskdgakfjb

Glad to be of help.

Many decades ago I bought a get rich quick scheme that was actually a meticulous and comprehensive rundown of options trading. My eyes glazed over before the end of the second paragraph and I shelved it.

Deciding I should get my money's worth despite not having read any more of it, I made a list of fun-sounding companies that I knew sod all about, rang up some options place (this was pre internet) and placed an order for some call options. It totally slipped my mind for about three months. When I rang up again I was five grand richer.
17959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 18, 2015, 12:04:49 AM

how else do you get in/out with sensible Risk/Reward?

Get drunk, close one's eyes and press as many buttons as possible.

I don't trade. I have a little in the past. My greatest successes happened with a combination of complete and utter guesswork and forgetting things.

17960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 17, 2015, 11:52:39 PM

How is this related to Bitcoins, gentlemand ?

Aw man. I dunno. You need a Technical Analysis advocate. I'm most definitely not sold on the whole concept.

In essence it charts predictable levels of support or resistance in the price movement. The inventor was born around 850 years ago which maybe says it all.
