Well i've tried so far both MM and Controller versions 01-03-19, appear to work, but miners randomly shut off and turn back on. Also they're not hashing anywhere near the 20th mark... I've also tried previous versions of the controller firmware no luck, just get connection refused with all of the others versions. Any suggestions? 4 hours so far trying to get the miners to do 20th... or something near that..

Dont bother.  Just use -1 setting and stop busting your own balls.

These simply are not that good.

I am pretty disappointed with them.

No one has them doing really good numbers.

I moved on. You should set -1 and look into other gear.

17943  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suicide? on: January 17, 2019, 02:26:28 AM
Many years  ago in 1983 I took a lot of pills. Woke up the next day and was fine. I had been sick for two years and thought being dead was better then my life at that time.

I believed I would stay sick the rest of my life. I was only 26 and thought I could stay sick for 40 or 50 years.  So two days later those pills got me really sick I had to go to emergency room for treatment.

I was lucky the shots in the ER FIXED the overdose.

In 1985 I meet my wife married her in 1986. Still married to her and happy my act of desperation back in 1983 did not kill me off.

I am close to 62 a few weeks more to my birthday and happy to be alive.

So my advice is do not try suicide,  find help make a phone call talk to a priest or a rabbi or a cleric.

Try finding a doctor.

One more thing I recovered from my illness in 2003.  Took 22 years for it to leave.  It is nice to be meds free and still in love with my wife.
17944  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 17, 2019, 01:48:05 AM
KYC
they have my home  address
they have my home phone
they have my Social Security Number
they have a copy of my drivers license

my name is rare so rare  that I have never found any one in the world with my name going back to 1900.
lastly they have sent 50 packages to me since 2013

that is enough for KYC.

I placed an order but did not pay and I think they would have shipped to me.

I am considering buying a T15 maybe a S11  I will hold some money aside for  a S15  from someone you and I both know well. Wink
17945  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 251 blocks solved! on: January 16, 2019, 11:40:25 PM

Ha-ha. You are serious? 100/100
What about 6000/100?
Once upon a time antpool find 1 block with 1 share
Randomnesss
I think luck increases significantly when -ck connect 60GH Avalon Cheesy

what's funny? luck is by default is 100/100 aka 100% aka flat aka not random !

randomness and luck decrease as your shares increase, why do you think many pools are able to pay in PPS? simply because they know that in the course of x period of time ,every share you submit has a luck of 100/100 therefore they afford to pay you flat for every share. small pools can't do that as their 100/100 could be months/years and they can't afford to pay you till they hit a block. while large pools say those who have 33.333% percent of the total hash know for sure they will get something very close to 33.333% of blocks per day/week/month/year.

just because antopool found 1 block with 1 share does not mean you have the same chances.

every single hash can win = true

but it should take  5,883,988,430,955 shares on average if you gear has a diff of one

and most people just don't understand how fucking big that number is.

We don’t have a lot of info yet but it looks like the psu prefers under 210 volts vs over 235 volts.

This could be a problem for USA SETUPS on 240 volts. As I type I am at 241 volts in my house.

Anyone with numbers for t15 s15 including volts feel free to post.

the idea of these acorns are great, you cant just go down to the local computer store and get these, we are the first people to have them, we are the early adopters, who cares if it takes an extra couple of months for software development, the market is crap anyway.

HoneyMustard68Today at 2:54 AM
Maybe some people are still on holidays
mfurmanToday at 8:24 AM
I looked at last night discussions and I am absolutely confused why there were still only some snippets of info and innuendo from SQRL. They almost feel offended that people are asking about dates and are, perhaps, upset(edited)
@danthelion  You can buy Acorn on Amazon. They are a product to be bought by anyone
SQRL_LimsToday at 8:34 AM
No one is offended that people want an ETA. It is perfectly understandable why people are upset at the delays. They are working on getting a firm ETA.
Sadly Meat and I are not devs so we don't have the knowledge to provide better updates than we do, we are just support staff. The people who can provide a bit more info come in every now and then and some interesting information comes out through the flow of conversation and the search bar is an excellent function to keep on track of what GPUHoarder has been saying.
Darius510Today at 8:45 AM

Another interesting one: GPUHoarderYesterday at 11:38 PM
"We honestly should have never done a monolithic miner and just kicked out simple command line miners for whatever coins one by one" - so why SQRL Miner was always "advertised" on SQRL Web site and discussed?(edited)
SQRL_LimsToday at 8:58 AM
erm because they are still doing it
hindsight and so on, it was a bigger task than anticipated, doesn't mean they won't complete it
blieToday at 8:59 AM
just do what everything else does, a front end for bunch of miners
boom, unified
mfurmanToday at 9:00 AM
Last comment from me: there should have been much more discussions about SQRL miner from the beginning (Summer 2018) instead of some minutiae about hardware subtleties. Once again: there were numbers illustrating the performance of SQRL miner (suppposedly)(edited)

17949  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 16, 2019, 06:19:28 PM
Yea, hoping to get something soon. My link clicks ----> purchases are sparse now in this market. So lots put off. I'll probably be looking at cooling prep for summer or just get one efficient unit or two if I'm able. Just a tough time after holiday and car issues.

M10 is top of the list, since the db's are pretty low on LPM/efficiency setting from philipma's reads.

I am going to the Clifton solar build out on Thurs or Fri this week.

when we are done we should be at 400-425th  btc and 6gh ltc

All the s9's will be at the 1250 watt setting
the 4 m10's top speed
the t2t 24th turbo at balanced speed
the l3+ at stock speed low volts setting
the a921 at -2
the a721's at -1

I think we will pull about 46kwatts
we need to do 56Kwatts for 4 months
we will then do the solar and drop to 40 kwatts

I most  likely need 10-12kwatts of gear

say 5 more m10's

it will be nice to have  40kwatt free and up to 90kwatts if mining takes off
17950  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: This is a reliability thread may not keep it open long. on: January 16, 2019, 01:52:27 PM
The T2T32T or all versions? I never to get to see these things thanks to mostly drop ships.

Philip you expanding or taking s9's offline?

my t2t24  is bigger then my m10 31th or 44th not sure if fans are 140mm

I go to new build out today  and will bump from 30kwatts to 47kwatts

let it run for 2 weeks do final bump to 58kwatts

so 1 will need 11kwatts in some kind of gear  I think it will be m10's 5 or 6 more  no need to decide now.
17951  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Heterosexual males are under attack on: January 16, 2019, 04:37:22 AM
I have to say the first part was moron to the max.
Boys will be boys chanting is not reality.

Yeah I mostly have heard women saying boys will be boys.

Not men. Now I am a 61 year old white male. That has been married to my wife for 32 years.

I lived in an Italian American neighborhood and since I was 3/4 Italian and 1/4 Norwegian I could not join the “club” so I joined the navy.

In general most men I know are not guilty of me too crimes.

Less then 1 in 20 would be bad guys.  So boys will be boys is exaggerated a lot.

I like that miss America pageant no longer has a swimsuit competition yet 25% of the state winners end up working in Asia or the Middle East as party girls.

Talk about hypocracy  Grin

Well I guess girls will be girls.

The movie crazy rich Asians has a scene on a boat for a bachelor party with a ton of hot contestant girls.

This is  a very common practice.
17952  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: This is a reliability thread may not keep it open long. on: January 15, 2019, 05:29:29 PM
The M10S is physically bigger than the M10 correct? With 4 boards instead of 3? 140mm fans instead of 120mm?

IIRC it has 140mm fans.

the m10 31th and the 33th have 120mm fans for sure.  I have 4 of them at the moment. 2x 33th plus 2x 31th

Pretty sure I am getting a fifth one. 1x 31th
17953  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: This is a reliability thread may not keep it open long. on: January 15, 2019, 04:57:09 PM
I have a Whatsminer M10s, a pair of Innosilicon T2T+ 32TH, and a pair of bitmain T15s currently under observation and testing to determine our next hardware purchase.

The M10 and T2T have been running for nearly 2 months trouble free now. The bitmain unit only arrived recently but I have seen no issues with it as of yet.

So far not even a hiccup other than having to factory reset the T15 out of the box.

You have the supersized m10  does 44th? or 54th?
17954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: January 15, 2019, 01:49:29 PM
lets say  you do a sub net.

your main router is say  192.168.0.1-256

add a cheap  router  that is 192.168.1.1-256

so modem >>>> main router >>>>> cheap subnet router >>>>> attach 1 bad miner attach 1 pc  search with advanced ip or angry ip   see if it shows.

I had issues with early model s-9's  sound like this issue.

So  2 dead psu's
and 3 weird ip's out of 20 units correct?

To late now but the s15's in your case should have  been m10's

My 4 m10's = flawless  they do 59-60 watts  a th at  low setting about 20.5th

are you usa based?

Long term power is king.  A retreat to a base camp of a 20 amp 240 volt solar system  will allow for 2 s9s or one m10.  When times are better you can go beyond the base camp and mine on the grid.
17956  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: This is a reliability thread may not keep it open long. on: January 15, 2019, 04:24:50 AM

T2 was good.

T1 not so good.

Does it make any significant difference in power use or hashrate when checked vs unchecked?

Sorry busy  with setup of new solar array.

That  check on or off seems to do nothing in any way if you are pointed to a pool with asic boost.

As for cranking it up and doing 16 to 15.5 th  hoping for a btc jump

instead of going low like 10 th.

Super complex  to really tell ahead of time what to do.

But I am doing this in a 40kwatt to 90kwatt build.

First 40kwatts are solar and will be free next 50kwatts are at 13cents a kwatt.

there is a shit ton of math for figuring that out.

variables all over the place. Grin

I'd discuss it but maybe in a different thread.

Say one on over vs under clocking the why's to do it one way over the other.  Might be a fun thread.

Hi,

I have AsRock H81 Pro BTC.

Somehow my onboard Ethernet LAN has been broken. I got a PCIE LAN Ethernet Card. I installed the card in the port but when I boot the machine the UEFI Setup Utility is shown and I can never have Windows 10 booted.

Would be thankful if someone give me solution for the UEFI settings or any other solution.

Looking forward.

Regards,

Riz

Return it. Get a usb ETH lan.   I will find a link.

Amazon search:

 usb Ethernet adapter.

12 to 14 dollars.

And if you are only mining with the board get the slow usb 2 .0  10/100 speed is good enough.

They sell the faster usb 3.0 model but you may find it not as stable.

And Pangolinminer sells used 11T M3s for $50...
That price for that hashrate is truly astounding, irrespective of what its efficiency is. Do you know when I got one of the first 60Gh Avalon miners, the official price was 75BTC?

Its incredibly cheap... MicroBT has the advantage, the M10s are nearly the most efficient SHA256 miners and thats at 16nm, if they release a 7nm...

M10  the 31th does 31 th at 2200 watts. Or 21th at 1280 watts.

Shipped to USA at 880 usd with tariff hit or miss. So it could be 1100

If they build a 7nm. Based on bitmain getting 18th at 900 watts low speed s15 is 50 watts a th.

the m17 (my guess) would be the new one will be under 40 watts a th.
