181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For Highly-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: January 19, 2018, 06:54:08 PM
Hello everyone - this is not a FUD post, however, it does intend to open an important dialogue for everyone that doesn't actively read the subreddit.
In a nutshell, 7m Sumos are unlocked in 2020 by the devs, meaning that they will control 25% of all coins.

25% of all coins is 22,222,222 coins so 7mil is above 10%!!!do your math again!

In any case its a classic tactic of restating something that is known and clearly stated from day 1 to create fear and doubt. No one is forced to invest in anything. You balance the pros and cons and you go ahead or not. What is there to discuss?

We all knew about the premine from day 1, its your decision to invest or not. There is nothing to discuss about it. If you are thinking of hodling till 2020 and you are afraid of the premine dump a month before it is released. What you are doing is pure fud cause you are stating something that is already known and nobody forced you to invest on sumokoin

Thanks. I appreciate all your efforts in trying to answer my question. However, you're still being very defensive and illusive about it and deviating from the gist of my question not to mention that your replies are all based on assumptions and not based on relative history and common knowledge regarding market dynamics. Sarcasm doesn't answer my legitimate question either...only indicates juvenile tendencies. My question is very specific. The answer should be a "yes" or a "no" followed by an explanation validating the "yes" or "no" answer. Very simple.

Again, what do the experts on here think about what happens when 600,000 premined Sumos in "Wallet 1" gets released from the make-believe and self-imposed escrow and dumped into the market in 6 months time? Wouldn't the anticipated event itself create havoc on the market just before it actually happens let alone the eventual dumping?

I hope the ghost address (receive) function gets implemented in the wallets soon.
It is both in cli and GUI and fully functioning. Download the Sapporo versions from git

That sounds good. I am waiting for more promotion plans for this project. When does a GUI wallet appear?

There is a GUI wallet already for almost six months. The latest version including ghost address was released some weeks ago. Read the ann post

Quick question about the android wallet, for the public address (that I've already have) am I suppose to delete the Sumo from SumoXXXXXX...?  My public address is 99 char, while the wallet only allows 95 char.

Of course not, you have a misplaced space or a misplaced character in the address you are trying to paste. Please recheck.

I think I may have have the concept wrong...

The goal is to check my balance (which I usually check via the desktop wallet) using the android wallet app while I'm traveling.

Can you use the same public address for desktop wallet and the android wallet?

Of course. You can restore the same wallet twice and use it both from your desktop wallet and your android device

It all started when we presented the charts proving that Sumokoin is beter than Monero to the public containing real, solid facts.
The same guys, obviously paid lackeys, started posting about the premine and other inconherent jibberish without disproving any of these facts although we ve asked them to several times.

They worsened their game when the coin picked up in value, after devs released the gui wallet icluding ghost addresses which is better than Monero's, anyone can download both and compare. FUD and jibberish and "so called" inside information and cosntant reminders about the premine but still no facts for disproving the fact that the desktop GUI wallet is better than Monero's

The went full mode yesterday when we released the android wallet connecting in ssl nodes a feature that Monero doesnt have. New accounts, the same guy talking jibberish and reminding everyone of the premine, so called inside info that the coin is a scam, so called info that devs are not 4 but one (when actually 2 of them use their real names).

Monero's dev team comprised by cereal - food ex businessman and developers of uncertain skills and ethos as well its community proved to be toxic and unworthy of crypto ideals but it would have never crossed my mind that they should actually be paying lackeys to fud a coin that they know its better than theirs in order not to lose their fucking money that the cereal salesmean and his team has gathered and are spending on vacations, public appearances and in a lavish lifestyle in general (you just have to follow them on twitter to verify).

I know they will return talking about cheerleaders, zealots, the premine again, incoherent sentences with no facts (they do so at a specific time each day which strengthens my belief that this is a paid job for them) but I really thank them for revealing the extent that their bosses are willing  to go in order for their coins not to lose value by any competitor.

Keep it up! this coin is going to succeed whether you like it or not

EDIT: I cannot even start to imagine how much they'll stretch their fudding campaign when the new roadmap and the new upcoming features will be announced the following weeks (old map is almost obsolete now almost half the features expected in 2018 are fullfiled and Sumokoin's devs proved beyond any doubt that when they announce a feature they also announce the exact time of its release and they either deliver upon that time or much earlier). They will go nuts

Is the Sumokoin Android wallet a fork of some other mobile wallet?

Yes as mentioned on github (https://github.com/SadBatman/sumowallet - in order to give the appropriate credit) it is a fork of Monerujo with improvements such as being able to connect on patched daemons that can handle and balance multiple connections. Also it is patched to support ssl connections that Monerujo and all other android wallets do not support. Actually the default list of nodes included in the wallet are ssl enabled and the wallet connects in such manner with them. Thanks

Cryptopia is like the worst exchange ever. I don't seem to be able to cancel an order. It shows canceling but never does it...
SUMO desperately needs a solid exchange for lift off. With this crap it's almost impossible to trade.

If you ve askedme two months ago I would have disagreed but now I am with you on this 100%

Official final release of Sumokoin Android Wallet can be now downloaded from Google appstore

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sumokoin.sumowallet

Mr Sumoshi will be posting the official announcement and include a link on sumokoin.org along with the release of a new UI that will make the wallet visually stand out even more, soon.
Thank you. We will appreciate your reviews bad or good on appstore. SSL node list included in the release

You may test the final beta version of Sumokoin's android wallet before the full release on google appstore by downloading it from here:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.sumokoin.sumowallet (you must sign in as a tester, just click the button when prompted)

It would be awesome if more people would test the beta. It really helps our devs to find the last bugs. Suggestions for Improvement are welcome of course!

We are proud to say that Sumokoin's android wallet is the only cryptonote android wallet supporting SSL connections and includes many other improvements (over the open source Monerujo it was forked from).
SSL Nodes:
wallet.sumokoin.ch:4445
wallet.sumoremote.host:4445

Official appstore release will follow in a couple of days

By the way... We ll have the official, final, non beta release on appstore within the day Smiley

Cool. Just a word of caution. Due to recent vulnerability found in Intel processors you should avoid using services running remotely like that. The bug allows to read memory that is supposed to be protected. Now in cloud or on VM hosts, the process can read parts of memory of other VM which may contain keys, passwords etc.. Better safe than sorry.

More info here: https://meltdownattack.com/

Patches for various OSes should be already out, so whoever is maintaining that remote node - patch and make sure the platform is patched completely before trusting it.

Thank you for the advice! SSL nodes are running on memory intensive, 10 Gigabit AWS instances so i doubt they have not taken care of it already.

The cheerleaders on here are employing the classic "diversion of attention" from real issues. They are desperately trying very hard to make it all about me and that I am fudding. Though I am flattered by their attention toward me, I must reiterate that it is not about me. It's about their cheerleading based on lies and half-truths for the sake of hyping up this crypto. Hype is good as long as it is based on whole facts. I am simply pointing out or filling in points/additional facts the cheerleaders have omitted in their claims (either innocently or on purpose). I am merely a messenger. Do not shoot the messenger. Again, it is not about me; it is about facts and common knowledge about this coin.

Cheerleaders -- all show, no substance.

The devs are really doing a great job with getting the wallets and updates out!
A problem i currently have is that they do not seem to have any marketing strategie or marketing at all which is really the most important thing in this speculation driven market.
Sumokoin should also consider a rebranding as nearly everyone i told about the coin that is heavily involved in the crypto space, thinks the name sounds cheap and scammy.

All in all a great coin but please devs, involve someone that makes sumokoin a big baller, which it certainly could be!

The dev team is composed of 4 or 6 guys ...
Their commits are not very active lately. Only SadBAtman commited and all are working on their free time...
How could this coin reach the moon in those conditions ?

You ve made a brand new account just for that? They ve merged ghost addresses on core in mid December and released an amazing GUI wallet supporting ghost addresses 5 days ago. Now go create one new account and try harder

So much for their claim of being another fork.
They are openly discussing about hardforking to achieve the ringsize SUMOKOIN has from day one.
Its really loveable that the exchange of knowledge is a two way road between the two coins
