Do your due diligence before you want to invest. Some altcoins have great potential for profits if you invest in the right thing at the right time.
So you have to be good daytrader. If your not and hope some altcoin will have future use, it is big gamble and very likely you will end with nothing Yes, pretty much spot on. |

Wenn man darüber nachdenkt eine große Summe in Bitcoins zu investieren sollte man sich auf jeden Fall mit der sicheren Aufbewahrung befassen.
Am Besten sich z.B. über Cold Wallets und Paper Wallets informieren.
Auch ist es gut erstmal mit einer kleinen Summe Bitcoins zu experementieren. Wenn man dann herausfindet, dass sein PC Malware-verseucht ist oder man durch Ahnungslosigkeit Bitcoins ins Nirvana geschickt hat, ist die Lektion nicht ganz so teuer.

Bargeld ist auch in einigen Aspekten "nicht regulierbar", es gibt vieles was passieren kann. Zu sagen es gibt nur "Revolution oder Bitcoin tot" ist schwarz-weiß denken und ziemlich an der Realität vorbei. Und nun bitte zurück zum Kurs ^^ |

Für die Erschaffung eines Blocks werden die Miner mit einer festgesetzten Menge Bitcoin belohnt. Ursprünglich lag die Belohnung bei 50 Bitcoin, doch die Zahl halbiert sich alle 210.000 Blöcke. Am Freitagabend gab es 268.587 Blöcke. Die Belohnung liegt also derzeit unterhalb von 25 Bitcoin pro Block. Dachte es wären genau 25. Das ist auch totaler Blödsinn, der Reward liegt bei 25 Btc+Fees. Mehr Blöcke als geplant bedeutet nicht, dass man den täglichen angepeilten Reward von 3600 Bitcoins auf mehr aufteilt, sondern dass tatsächlich mehr Bitcoins pro Tag verteilt werden (um die 4-5k momentan) . Die nächste Reward-Halbierung kommt auch demenentsprechend früher dann. |

Maybe one reason: Tf sent a lot of the inputs.io refunds without fee. |

4 RANDOM words is a very strong password. Dictionary attacks aren't looking for random words, they are looking for common words, phrases, known used passwords, variations of words (p@ssw0rd), phrases from books/movies/etc. A dictionary of all 4 combinations of english words is well useless. Hm, when I said random, I meant randomly selected from the dictionary with no permutation, just like in the picture. correct horse battery staple Ok ~180,000 words in the English language, so there are 180,000^4 different variations: 1,049,760,000,000,000,000,000 That's a lot, but a lot of magnitudes less than needed to crack a normal Bitcoin address. Furthermore you don't need to crack a specific Bitcoin address, if there are multiple people using it the chance to successfully steal Bitcoins increases. Where am I wrong? |

Yesterday I sent 0,1 to Satoshi Dice but it was set to no-fee on blockchain.info (I'm new, had no idea it would be THIS BAD).
I played on Satoshi Dice with it for a bit and made 1BTC from it. I got really excited, wanted to withdraw and saw the initial 0,1 is still unconfirmed. It's been 24 hours.
I don't really understand that, does Satoshi dice allow playing&withdrawing with unconfirmed Bitcoins? That would be so easy to abuse. |

why do people store their bitcoin on websites.
ITs like taking money from your wallet and giving it to someone to hold it for you. Then when it gets robbed you cant really blame him because it was your fault for letting him hold it for you.

Got as far as "And anyone who thinks it can't collapse all the way to zero is delusional." and gave up because he's talking out of his arse. A single cent for the whole 21 million is still above zero and if he can't get something as simple as that right then his opinion's worth sweet fa.
It could go to zero. A bug that let's anyone spend any coins and isn't fixed for a long time could do that. It's very unlikely and would probably be fixed with a reset to the time before this bug though. (The article is still rubbish) |

Naja, 4200 Bitcoins sind jetzt nicht soo die Welt. Ich bezweifle dass das der Großteil der dort gelagerten Bitcoins war. Ich glaube auch nicht dass er selber involviert war, bei der Menge an btc die er verdient und Arbeit die er investiert hat um seine ganzen Firmen hochzuziehen würde es mich doch stark wundern wenn er wegen so einer kleinen Menge (nicht vergessen, er ist einer der early adopters) seine komplette Reputation aufs Spiel setzen würde.
Es sieht nicht so aus als würde er alles zurückzahlen, ist die Frage ob er nicht will oder kann. Und weniger als 100% Rückerstattung ist in so einem Geschäft das Aus. Im englischen Teil tobt grad ein ziemlicher Lynchmob. |
