Bitcoin and Gold really behave differently at this point. I think in a balanced portfolio you have everything. Stocks, Bitcoin and Gold. Long term all go up but they hedge each other pretty well. When the stock market falls gold goes up for example. Gold is very stable while Bitcoin is volatile. You always want to avoid the extremes.

What's wrong with Blockchain?
I'm a newbie, but I have a Blockchain wallet. Should I move my Bitcoin?

It's only as secure as the machine you're accessing it with. Are you 100% confident that no one is keylogging or screengrabbing you? I don't think anyone can do that so it's better to move.

They've had quite a few glitches too and their fee system seems to be struggling to stay relevant too.

I see, thanks.
I barely have any Bitcoin, but I will move them somewhere else at some point.
Can someone also bypass the authenticator as well?

Hi,

Please let's recommend the best bitcoin wallet here, since blockchain has gone south!
nobody seem to understand the platform anymore...

I recommend MyCelium Bitcoin Wallet

What's yours?

As most people here I believe in buying Bitcoin and other cryptos at regular intervals and slowly build up your fortune.
This article is relevant to this topic: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/apos-much-20-something-save-150313075.html
That being said having a side business is also very important. Not just because of the extra cash, but if you lose your main job there is something that you can develop into a full business.

I'm not sure which young people you think will invest when they barely have enough to live paycheck to paycheck. The current generation born after 1990 are considered the poorest in the last 50 years.
I'm 25 and I can see it myself, most young people won't invest because they don't have anything to invest. Even if they had they would rather spend it.
Most costs in your lifetime are located at the beginning. Buying a home/car/appliances, furniture, etc...Yet, you make the least amount of money when you are young.
The only way you can possibly invest in Bitcoin if you make more than the average. For that, you need a good job and a secondary income as well.
Don't get me wrong I like Bitcoin and I started investing in it, but generally young people invest the least amount of money.
186  Other / Meta / Re: Teach a newbie (me) best practices about trading on this forum! on: May 28, 2017, 04:15:25 PM
Thank you for all the responses. I will try to minimize Bitcoin trades for now and focus on getting activity/feedback.

It is clear that Bitcoin is an extremely sensitive currency. Hopefully, in a few months, I will have more reputation to trade. Until then I will only use trusted escrow.
187  Other / Meta / Teach a newbie (me) best practices about trading on this forum! on: May 26, 2017, 06:39:25 PM
Hello there!

So I posted a thread (my first thread on this forum) to buy bitcoin in the currency exchange section.
I added that the seller should send me the bitcoin first and some other requirements. Oh, boy was that a mistake. It was pointed out that my thread looked extremely suspicious, to say the least, so I changed it. Now I would only use an escrow...

Anyways. I have been trading on other forums before, but not bitcoin.

Could you tell me about the best practices when trading bitcoin on this forum?

How can I ensure maximum possible safety for both myself and the seller?

Are there any automatized escrow services or only forum members?

How much is the usual +% when buying bitcoin here. I was offered 8% today.

Thanks!

Hey there!

I would like to buy a consistent amount of Bitcoin each week.

I'm new on Bitcointalk, but I have 220 feedback on EpicNPC where I also run a thread to buy Bitcoin among others. (Sadly, barely anyone sells Bitcoin there)
https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/1095053-PayPal-Skrill-Webmoney-Bitcoin-Exchange-from-Trusted-Trader!?p=5394201#post5394201

You can leave a post in my thread or send me a message there and I will confirm that this thread on Bitcointalk is me as well.

I will also not leave a skype here. Add me from EpicNPC so you know I'm legit.

My rules which are on EpicNPC will be the same here as well:
Only Family and Friends/Gift in Paypal.
Only Reputable members with 20+ Feedback! (maybe not this rule, since you probably heard of EpicNPC for the first time)
You have to send the money/Bitcoin first.
50$ exchange minimum.

(I'm not sure if outside advertising to prove who I am is allowed, if not please let me know.)

Another criminal on the loose.

You, a newbie posting here for the first time, have the nerve to ask people to send money/bitcoin first. You are clearly a scammer.

Everyone, use escrow when dealing with this criminal. Strictly and without exception.

There is Escrow?
I'm totally fine with Escrow. Even better.
I can also send money first to reputable members.
Exchanged around 2k on EpicNPC. I have 200+ feedback there.

Yeah, I guess my Thread does look scammy at face value. Especially if you don't visit my link.

I guess I will change it!

I can show paypal/skrill activity log if needed. (Both verified and multiple transactions EACH DAY for years)

I'm looking for a good rate.

I'm looking for a few hundred USD worth of BTC each week.
