Do you have the know-how to implement logo's etc? I'm willing to put a bounty on making the client nice with CAT logo's (the fancy one from TS is awesome) in conjunction with kR105. If you can contact him and make this work, I'll put forth a bounty of 200 CAT. I already made a wallet logo and when im on the PC i will send him the resized version So i deserve art least some catcoins right? Organize it with him and get the splashscreen and everything fixed, and you might be in for the logo. If you designed the logo in the OP and you can prove it, I'll happily send you some CAT.

A pool on launch was an incredibly stupid idea to begin with. When you have all hashing power coming from 1 centralized place, you undermine the entire concept of cryptocurrencies, and you end up with 5 pools mining their own 5 blockchains.
A cryptocurrency NEEDS the solominers in the beginning, to decentralize the blockchain. The chain needs to be spread by multiple solominers competing for the blocks all around the world. Not one pool writing its own blockchain.
Clearly OP had no idea wtf he was doing.

Why even mine this coin?
- Sh** launch - No features - Bad advertisement, not even a logo (srsly?) - Terrible dev, but oh wait, in fact literally no dev team cuz the dev is a lazy copypaster - Terrible parameters - Instamined, really? Some guys were literally 15 min. ahead - Extreme pyramid scheme - Wallet doesn't even work - Wallet logo is litecoin's logo - doesn't even compile correctly because of dependencies
oh wait it's called catcoin. cat vs doge, ohhh, that will make it soo popular
you're wasting your time.
this is the sh**tiest coin EVER.
Please re-launch this coin the RIGHT WAY.
You can't actually STOP a coin once it has started.. That's the whole point of decentralized cryptocurrency. We have catcoin now. Be happy with it.

MOVE YOUR MINERS TO SOME OTHER POOL!
My pool is getting DDoS'd right now, and everything is going crazy. I stopped the pool service to avoid any further issue. Your shares / blocks / balance should be safe, but everything is crazy on the machine right now so the cron services can't run properly.
What is the seednode IP? Come on man.
|
|
|
Solo miners spread your addnode ip's!
addnode=82.173.108.213
|
|
|
Those who have compiled the source:
addnode=82.173.108.213

Lol I just started mining this coin wtf

Thanks for your help, unfortunately I did install libboost-all-dev but and I checked for the right packages, I have them but not the mgw48 version, for example I have libboost-filesystem-dev:amd64 instead of the required lboost_filesystem-mgw48-mt-s-1_5.
Welp, it seems my interpretation of those errors was wrong. mux suggested the following to Boxman90: Dude, just remove these mgw48-xxx windows thingies from Makefile!
Dude, just remove the "mgw48-xxxx" part, of course keep the -lboost_xxxx part!!
e.g. -lboost_filesystem
.. and removing the mgw48 suffixes from the makefile appears to have solved the issue for him. The confusing part to me is that rgrep tells me only src/makefile.mingw seems to contain that suffix (line 24), which if I'm not mistaken is the Makefile for Windows, whereas makefile.unix is for Linux.. then again, obviously I don't know what I'm talking about! After you've done qmake, Makefile appears in /catcoin. Edit this one and remove the mgw1.48-xxx shit (not theliboost, only the suffix) Don't edit makefile.unix or any makefile in the src.

|
Edit: Oh no, now I get: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw48-mt-s-1_54 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_filesystem-mgw48-mt-s-1_54 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_program_options-mgw48-mt-s-1_54 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_thread-mgw48-mt-s-1_54
This is not the first coin with that problem.. Dude, just remove these mgw48-xxx windows thingies from Makefile! And then what, because now I'm just getting a bunch of "undefined reference to boost::system::system_category()" Dude, just remove the "mgw48-xxxx" part, of course keep the -lboost_xxxx part!! e.g. -lboost_filesystem Thanks mate. I learned something today. Works now.

This is not the first coin with that problem.. You need the libboost dev packages. It doesn't have to be version 1.48 (that is, over here it compiles fine with 1.54). For apt based systems (Debian/Ubuntu/Mint..), run.. dpkg -l "libboost*dev" | grep ^ii .. to see whether you have the right libboost-dev packages installed, or just go for sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev I have all the libboost packages, did that command, get the exact same error over and over. I was running 1.54 If i try to do 1.48 it blabs on about "unmet dependencies"
