Bitcoins you pay are shared among nodes you use. Nodes trust each other to a certain degree.

Thanks Verotel for adding bitcoin as a payment option! How much extra does it cost to pay through your service instead of paying with ordinary cash.

My first instinct is to say that this is ridiculous. My second instinct is: hey, psychology is a respectable science, right? If there is a disorder in the DSM, it must have some basis in reality, right?

I bought a Bitcoin. How could I not? I'd been hearing about it for years, which isn't to say I remotely understood what it was. What I did know was more than enough to lure me in: that it was being hailed as the Way of the Future by some of the young lions of the investment world, who saw it as a natural next step in the evolution of money. I'd seen the story about the Norwegian man who bought $27 worth of bitcoin, and then found out, years later, that it was worth $886,000 and change. And the one about the Welsh IT worker who threw out a hard drive, forgetting that it contained the equivalent of $7.5 million. Today it resides somewhere in the Newport landfill site.
200  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-09] GHash Nears 51%, Apple’s Change of Heart, Facebook Approves a Dogec on: June 09, 2014, 03:09:57 AM
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/bitcoin-news-review-ghash-nears-51-apple-allows-bitcoin-apps/2014/06/09

But First, an Important PSA

At the time of this post, GHash.io controls 40% of the hashrate. The pool that’s “trusted by 180k users” is becoming dangerously big. If anyone controls over 50% of the network hashrate, he/she can likely successfully double spend his/her bitcoins, which would have a domino effect that could destroy Bitcoin. Bitcoin was designed to be decentralised, and it’s important to ensure that no entity gains too much control over the network. Please consider moving to a smaller pool or using P2Pool to avoid the threat of a 51% attack.
