Great Googly Woogly!

Someone is still dumping tens of thousands of these things for basically nothing!

We're at 0.00000002   and headed down to the final resting place of 0.00000001 (when it will probably be delisted).

Its unusual to see a coin get dumped so hard.

Asics are getting in there already.

My poor GPU isn't powerful enough Boobs to get me enough boobs to make this worthwhile Sad
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gopnik Coin - POW/POS (proof of squat) GPK on: October 03, 2017, 06:59:02 AM
What are the chances that this coin could be pumped over $5 each at some point? I think the initial total amount is less than 80,000,000. I plan to hodl my 100k Gopniks until we get there!

I think $5 is not very likely comrade.

However, a great man once said, "to squat is to dream". So hodl your Gopnik tight if your dream is riches and many tracksuits.

188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gopnik Coin - POW/POS (proof of squat) GPK on: October 02, 2017, 11:41:25 AM
Hello fellow miners, I just wanted to ask you what is your hashrate and which GPU do you have. I have one AMD Radeon R9 280X and my hashrate is 408 Kh/s.
As I said, I'm new to mining so can someone tell me if this is ok for my GPU or do I need to change settings in the start.bat file? I received only 21 GPK in about 2 hours of mining and I expected more, but maybe that's simply how much my card can mine, not more.

Hello Comrade

Sadly a GPU is not the best way to mine the Gopnik as it is scrypt alogorithm.

21 mined is not so bad, but specialised mining hardware exist that can get hundreds of Scrypt based coin like Gopnik in minutes.

Your GPU is not really suited to the squatting for scrypt. In fact, any GPU is not suited, even if you had many of them or very expensive 1080ti card or new Vega.

On one hand, I share your love for the Gopnik coin, however on the other hand I think you should look next for a coin that is good to mine with GPU like a coin based on Cryptonight algorithm.

My advice is to mine something suited to the GPU. Then sell that coin that you mine at an exchange.
Then you have a little bitcoin, so send that to a short term rental site like Miningrigrentals or Nicehash.
Then rent some time on an Scypt ASIC miner on that site with the bitcoin you made to mine some Gopnik.

To give final example.

You get 480 h/s with your GPU.
A cheap Asic can get MILLIONS of H/S per second.

So, if you run rented ASIC miner for a few hours you will get tens of thousands of Gopnik coin.

Gopnik is great coin with such squat power, but mining on any GPU is not good value for you. Is like squatting with no legs. You will never get big calve muscles no matter what you do.

I wish you well on your bitcoin journey Comrade!

Received a batch from the Pool.

I can see the exchange getting busier now too.

190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] SHA256 - Flurbo's [FLB] Intergalactic Currency on: October 01, 2017, 07:48:38 AM
Nothing back from the Pool owner regarding Flurbo payouts.

Dev : My pool payout owing is reasonably substantial. If/when the pool pays out I'll send you some Flurbo's to help with the next round of bounties.

New Flurbo pool (sha256)
http://lpool.name/pool/FLB

-o stratum+tcp://sha.lpool.name:3333 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=FLB,d=128

Bounty/Donate: FCQeVsBt2BEzErv6Bo2oEzxkYbpPSshxcS (FLB)

Node list: http://lpool.name/explorer/peers?id=1909
Explorer: http://lpool.name/explorer/FLB

Pool mines, and says it's paid out, however no sign of Flurbo's in my wallet.

Will contact the pool support to see if they can help.

Let me know if you don't get any help. I don't want to be affiliated with a pool that doesn't payout its members.

my balance has not yet been received, it shows as sent but not received

Mine still hasn't shown up.  I've PM'ed the Pool Owner through correct channels but no response yet (it's only been a few hours though, so I can wait a bit longer).

My balance also says sent, however was not received.

My wallet is fine. I sent the 50 Flurbo that I mined from the Wallet to the exchange as a test and it was very quick, so no idea why the pool funds did not show up yet.

Hopefully it  either gets processed soon, or the Pool Owner replies to us to give us an update.

It would suck if all my glorious Flurbo's were lost!

This coin sounds interesting, but what algorithm is being used?

What's interesting in this shit?

The interesting part is that they keep making threads for this coin...

Oh, and the billions of coins premined 50000000 coins at a time in the first few blocks... that's pretty interesting too...

Compared to the ultra generous 25 coins in a block that the Dev is asking  others to mine now (for example at block 150)

So yes, very interesting coin if you wish to mine for the rest of your life and still not have a tiny fraction of what the Dev has...

I say Please Yes!

Friend! Gopnik currency is best currency!

Mine the Gopnik with us and we will all be rich and have strong legs.

Apologies if I've misunderstood, however as far as I can tell, your announcement is a ponzi scheme?

197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: AAA Coin profitable ICO Blockchain PoW/PoS ICO start date: 10.10.2017 on: September 30, 2017, 02:37:12 AM
I'm not sure how the math works here, although perhaps I am misunderstanding.

My quick thought process here:

For 50 cents FIAT you can buy a AAA coin in the ICO

On the 10th it will be minable, and is a Scrypt ASIC with the stats as listed.
Surely on the 10th when it's minable, it will be a lot cheaper to get some hash power and mine many coins than if you had purchased in the ICO?
For example, about $5 worth of hash (500MH for 6 hours for example)  is going to net me ~100 coins (at least).
So the cost value of the coin is going to be 5 cents FIAT (which is still way above what I'd expect a Scrypt coin to list for on an exchange).

tl;dr - The mining component is going to destroy value of the coins purchased in the ICO unless you basically sell every coin in the ICO.

For my own benefit/knowledge, I'd love to see how you've done the math here with valuations. Perhaps you could graph it out for us?

198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 📈 KnoxCoin【KNX】🌟 💵 POW/POS 2% 💴 POW JUST 12.5K BLOCKS on: September 29, 2017, 05:26:23 AM

scrypt only for asic   Cheesy

Yeah, but hopes that one hour after Ann i would stiller get some with cpu. Never tried cpu mining scrypt before for that obvious reason :p buy there are many on the lookout for New coins and i guess even just one asic would make my cpu pretty useless :p

POW 12.5k blocks, means 625k coins only for miner.
10%premine, 2.3million,  I cannot say dev is greedy,  but with 2% POS return, I think its no value for miner or investors.

GOOD LUCK!

This is such a crucial point I want to re-emphasize it:

The pre-mine is 2.3 MILLION coins.
The total PoW supply is 625 THOUSAND coins.

There is no point mining a coin where you can only mine such a miniscule fraction of the supply.

Also, note that the ANN claims "10% Premine for Bounties and Airdrops" in large text but buries this little gem in the text:
Quote
2.5% of that premine is set for the developer.

The dev gets 2.5%, or 575000 coins.  So the dev starts out with a personal supply almost equal to the entire PoW supply.

Please spend your hard-earned hash at your own risk.

Thanks for looking into this.

I appreciate you taking time to post. Saved me wasting hashing power on the coin.

I'm not in a position to say if the Dev was intentionally misleading, but it doesn't look good on the surface.

I'm going to skip this one.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gopnik Coin - POW/POS (proof of squat) GPK on: September 28, 2017, 10:20:35 AM
Wallet works. Pools are paying out.

Premise of the coin is no more ridiculous than anything else, and for some reason I'm amused by the ANN.

Good coin. A+. Will mine. Clearly has bright future. I'm too scared of Russians to think otherwise.

200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EDDIE] Scrypt RELAUNCH pow-pos HIGH APR 0% PREMINE-NO ICO-IPO on: September 28, 2017, 09:04:39 AM
0% Premine is a rare thing these days.

Please consider helping the Dev out by mining at the official pool.

This in turn will make an exchange listing a much easier goal to achieve, as he will get a small reward for effort.
