I guess selling t-shirts isnt enough for him and now he decided that he will partner with another person who is running a ponzi defi.

What could go wrong...
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Salvadoran lawmakers pass digital asset issuance law in bitcoin haven on: January 16, 2023, 04:07:01 AM
For people to trust a toekn like that i think they'd also have to pay some sort od dividend too. Either by making people stake (less preferable because it'll cause volatility) or by wrapping.assets in the tokens to either be claimed or not (or just crediting addresses that have held the token for a certain amount of time). I think if they don't have this we'll see another flop.

Hopefully bitfinex also knows how to handle the logistics of using multiple chains too as I think most would expect erc20 and trc20 versions at least (fee and use wise).

There's never really much of a mention into the teams working on these projects and it might boost people's confidence if they did know that and stop these plans from failing (like the last one did). I think there's a big market a government could demand over similar things to what el Salvador has done, I don't know whether they're just doing it too early though or people are just not interested unless the offer is attractive enough.

It's not the people probably the president of Salvador is behind all of this.
He was pretty vocal about cryptocurrency on their country but I guess it would be an advantage for us who isn't a citizen in Salvador because they would be beta testing for us.

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 13, 2023, 07:46:18 AM
1. bots
2. multi-accounts
3. the organizers reducing the rewards without informing the participants
4. too many people already know on how to participate on the airdrops
5. all of the above
185  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Negative Perception sa PH Crypto Start-up project on: January 12, 2023, 11:52:04 PM

186  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 12, 2023, 11:25:00 PM

Oh, I learned my lesson alright. And also, I have very few friends, too few that some might even see me as an indifferent type of person.
Also, I think everyone pretty much doxxed themselves with they joined Facebook even with their so-called "Privacy". No getting out of that.

EDIT. Deleted the FB post. I'll let some else post it. My FB account has zero reach anyways.

It's still best not to expose yourself too much, I don't know what you like until you post the FB link.

like for example slothypeep pretending to be a newbie but you can tell that he has a main account in here. You wouldn't like people digging into your social media history or trolls to create new accounts and accuse you of something by twisting things/stories.

They would gain something if you can't continue that would create less competition.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra LUNA Classic Price Prediction 2023-2025 on: January 12, 2023, 04:04:36 AM
(....)
Meanwhile, our long-term LUNC price prediction for 2023 is bullish since it cannot break the present support level soon. We can expect LUNC to reach $0.00024944 in 2023.
I am curious why people still hoping for Terra Luna. Luna proved that they are not trusted, they already did the worst part. Trusting them again is very not good.
After what happened to Luna before, the trust of most people was already lost and a lot of people already abandon this project and now it's difficult to trust again.

They aren't called Lunatics for no reason.
188  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First Exchange to Bite the Dust in 2023, Juno on: January 11, 2023, 11:32:27 AM
It is not Juno that is having problems, it's the Wyre platform that is causing problems to other platforms as well, they announced that they will be closing their services.

https://coingeek.com/digital-currency-payments-firm-wyre-to-shut-down-its-operations-amid-crypto-winter/

Juno will still continue to operate because they have chosen another provider to replace Wyre.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LCX vs BNB on: January 11, 2023, 06:51:33 AM
I have seen a lot of people compare LCX to how BNB was a few years ago.
I don't think LCX should be compared with a BnB. It's the same as comparing a kid with a bodybuilder.

Binance is the #1 exchange, on the other hand, LCX is not even in the top 100 150 exchanges in terms of volume.

Quote
would be happy with a £1b market cap next bull run
Based on Utility of the token 1b seems realistic, but it is the crypto market after all, anything can happen. $1b or 0 time will tell.

they are different, LCX in my opinion is only a utility token for the exchange while BNB isn't it is a blockchain if Binance closes down the BNB coin will still run in the internet.

Also to answer OP's question, I don't think that LCX would reach a $1b marketcap because the other big exchange besides Binance are under $1b, I don't see why a new exchange token will reach $1b in the nearest future.

192  Economy / Lending / Re: need no collateral loan on: January 05, 2023, 12:00:03 PM
@OP, I can provide this loan to you if you can convince SinBad to hold your winning prize till you decide to repay the loan (on or before 13th jan).
And if you default, we can ask SinBad to transfer the whole prize (5mbtc) to lender's address.

EDIT: Sinbad also needs to post here to confirm that they hold the prize.

I have to decline since it would be an inconvenience them but thanks for the offer though.  Smiley

~~~~~~
Gonna lock the thread, I no longer need the loan.
It seems this is the only topic on PiCoin, is anybody actively mining this?
There is no mining happening. This is outright scam using crypto to disguise whatever their scheme is.
197  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for $1000 loan with $1800 in collateral on: December 30, 2022, 10:39:46 PM
I am sorry, I did not know that you speak for everyone in Bitcointalk. Just because something isn't valid collateral to you doesn't make it not collateral to someone else.
edit: to argue with you further, per the "valid collateral" list, my collateral definitely falls under the following:
- The best collateral is another crypto-currency, such as Ethereum (also written as ETH).  Coins must be moderately traded on multiple exchanges.
- Some digital wares such as domain names can be considered as long as the user cannot recover it.
It is both a digital ware (ie. smart contract that I cannot recover that gives you the coins per a hardcoded vesting rate) and a coin that is traded on multiple exchanges.
Strike one, your token isn't a coin (read and learn the differences, then talk). Strike two, isn't tradable in multiple exchanges. I doubt that is tradable anywhere. Strike three, smart contracts are not digital wares/ goods. Roll Eyes
It's pretty obvious that you are desperate to get rid of this crap token, so you interpret the words as you like/ fit you. Unfortunately for you, you are not the first noob that tries this and fails miserably. Anyways, as I said earlier, you won't get a single satoshi without valid collateral and your token isn't among them. Cheerio!!! Cool
Fine, it's an ERC20 token, not a "coin". It is however a cryptocurrency...
Dude, I literally sent you the token via DM earlier, it trades on Bittrex, HitBTC and Balancer on 3 networks (Ethereum, Polygon and Fantom). There is more than enough liquidity to support a $1000 trade. It has 2+ years of trading history and is created by a company that did a $50M+ ICO. I understand you do not want to lend me, but accusing me of "getting rid of crap" is a bit far... Jeez. Yes, it's not a super well known by the general public, doesn't make it a scam. It is unfortunately the only thing I have in life right now apart from my phone and laptop both which I need to do my job so I can pay back the loan as promised.
I am willing to completely dox myself, sign any onchain addresses, send an email from my company email address, send my payslips AND on top of that provide the only thing I have as collateral in hopes to attract a lender so I can get out of a shitty situation I am in right now. You falsely accusing me just because this does not suit you is not appreciated. I am happy to take a loan without this token as collateral too, I can offer my time as a software engineer as collateral instead.
Calling me a "noob" just because you don't like what I have to offer is uncalled for. Unfortunately I never spent much time on Bitcointalk apart from a failed project launch 8 years ago (that I fully refunded to all users, by the way, at my personal expense...).
If your collateral is so good to be true, lenders would be already drooling all over it but sadly it isnt.
You can change the ownership whenever you want plus probably the tokens value can crash the price to oblivion and this is the reason why you have to go the trouble doing mental gymnastics to explain how the token did a $50m + ICO rather than telling the tokens name.
Mukhang aabandonahin na nila yang SLP
matagal ng nasabi yan sa twitter, regarding sa SLP hindi na yun ang focus nila. Opinion ko lang is wala na silang paki kung ano mangyari sa SLP dahil ang main reward na talaga ngayon is cosmetics/items.
200  Economy / Services / Re: BLUE CHECKMARK SERVICE - Social media verification for IG, TikTok, Spotify + mor on: December 28, 2022, 11:01:47 PM
$1k for the check mark in twitter while you can directly pay twitter for $8.
You have a very good point there, why waste my money when I could tap from the source directly? Also, the negative trust score of the OP is a huge call for concern. Everyone should be extremely careful.
The thread clearly states "we accept any trusted escrow or middleman as long as the buyer covers all fees". If a buyer decides to pay an escrow of his choice and the funds are not released until the service has been completed, what could possibly go wrong?
As for the negative trust, if you merely click the "Trust" link you will notice they were given simply because we provide a review service. There is no connection between them and a specific deal. If you have any other questions or concerns I'm happy to address them for you.
Nevertheless, if you were to carry out a simple Google search, you'd notice there stands a significant difference between Twitter verification status (which is not just a pretty blue badge) and Twitter Blue.
https://help.twitter.com/en/using-twitter/twitter-blue
Twitter Blue is our premium subscription service that elevates quality conversations on Twitter.
Are you even aware that Twitter is doing a pay to get verified model?
