181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress? on: June 07, 2018, 12:32:22 PM
how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress associated with this?  I am checking it every few hours and it drives me crazy and makes me anxious. Is there anybody in a similar situation and how do you cope with this?

PS: I was trying to do this once a month, but I think, I missed the beginning of the bear market in January this year because of this.

Thanks,
Mike

Everyday I always check the orice of xourse maybe the price have gina crazy again I always need to know it because I have a bitcoin holding but everyday it disappoints me because there is kothing happen in the price it is just getting up and down with the same range the same ratio the price is more likely stable if you will think of it. So of course that is linda stressful but whenever I feel that thing I always stay away from looking at the price just I do some different things that make me calm like watching a movie
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: June 07, 2018, 11:01:56 AM
A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?

There are a lot more investment like real estate and being a stock holder and maybe when I have a lot money I will invest in that because even a businessman will invest in that thing because that is a sure money. But I am still a kid and that kind of investment requires a lot of requirements so maybe I wont be able to invest in taht after all luckily the friend ofine have a small business and I invested my money in that and every month I xan received my profit so aside from bitcoins I have another source of profit
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 07, 2018, 08:08:08 AM
Legendary investor Tim Draper is confident that in five years all will use crypto currency. According to Draper, the technological shift that we can observe now will be more significant than the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age. Answering the question about how he sees the current situation in comparison with the period when he invested in the technologies of web 1.0 and 2.0, he replied that web technologies and transformed the concept of information, while blocking has the potential to transform almost all industries, including government services.

By the looks of the bitcoins today they are not that rising but still they have a pretty much stable price but I am sure that 5 years is a lot of time for the bitcoins to be accepted by a lot more people I know that the bitcoins just need people and knowing today that they are getting into rhe mainstream much more how much more into 5 years. Maybe there are some fast food chain accepting bitcoins you can see mc donalds drive thru paying using bitcoins or something like that that can make the people comfortable with the nitcoins and the cryptocurrency
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: June 06, 2018, 02:00:24 PM
How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.

It is hard to tell because there is no validation at all to know if that is a scam or not it is just a matter of being lucky. There are some cases that the campaign are very famous and there are a lot of supporters investors but all of a sudden they are just a scam so we do not even know. Even the manager have nothing to do with it because he is just a victim like us. I have been a victim of a scam a dozen times but still I push it because there is nothing I can do about it. But if thar campaign is suspicious thunk of it.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The future of BTC, ETH and LTC? on: June 06, 2018, 11:43:01 AM
How do you predict all of the future three crypto (BTC, ETH and LTC) by looking at current market conditions. Is there any hope of recovering?

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/01/16/cryptocurrency-sell-off-bitcoin-and-ethereum-performing-better.html

They are great coins no doubt that they are the top coins around the world because they are giving the people what is the real essense of it. I am sure that in the future they will be much more noticeable by other people because today it is just the bitcoins and somw with ethereum but the litecoins are not that given the attention maybe in the future they will be a much bigger value because of the bigger community. The people have trusted them and establishments will start accepting them as a mode of payment.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: June 06, 2018, 10:38:28 AM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which help quick and easy to build online store and sell for cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?

Are you saying that you are gonna sell your business just to have a cryptocurrency? If you do that then you are a fool because you already have a stable business you should never give that up because that is a stable income already and just fpr the sake of the cryptocurrency you will sell that what if that will never go as what ecpected then you will lose a lot of money you should always think of the consequences of your actions. You can always join the cryptocurrency if you have saved up money in that business
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future? on: June 05, 2018, 12:26:19 PM
As Bitcoin mining is partially controlled by Chinese miners, I have a feeling that sometime in the near future, Bitcoin can become centralized if no solution against this is proposed.

If BTC could manage to bring a solution towards mining centralization by preventing mining pools with the most hashrate to effectively gain control of the network, then it would aim to become more decentralized over the years.

As mining difficulty increases and new ASIC hardware gets developed, it would make it less possible for any average user to mine Bitcoin, thus making it more centralized each day.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this, as if BTC becomes centralized, it might cause it to decrease in value, and most of all, violate the principles that it was created for.  Smiley

Maybe because the government might noticed that the people are starting to like the bitcoins and they wanted know to use it rather than cash because they are very convenient rather than cash so the government will think if they are gonna implemented the bitcoins they must have a control with it. But for me the most possible thing to happen if that time comes is the government will create their own cryptocurrency that will represent their country it is like a modern version of their monetary unit.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: June 05, 2018, 11:20:11 AM
Hi guys , I am a begginner in the crypto world , after a long study of the market , rules and regulations research. I am ready to start inversting . First stop that catched my interest is orbis https://orbistransfer.com . Because it has paypal and card purchase . No kyc and country restrictions so I can buy it from US. $500 dollars allocated .
Any other promising icos ? What do you recomend.

Update. btt link for who wants to review my first choice : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3844192.0

That is a great choice of you it is great to invest in icos no doubt because they can give you a lot of profits and that also depends on how successful that icos are because if they are very successful your money your investment can be very huge but always remember not to lose your confidence but for you to know that not all icos are great some of them are scam some of them are failed so it is up to you how to avoid those things. I've been a victim so I am just telling you what I have experience.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DO YOU BUY WHEN THE PRICE DROPS SHARPLY ? on: June 05, 2018, 10:52:15 AM
Well , they say never buy in top neither when it is on bottom , because if you are not sure it is the bottom it can goes deeper!
2 points are not very stable , very top and very bottom , between those would have less risk .

I can rely in thia one because possibilities may happen so we cannot say that if the price is down the price will get up some of the coins when they gets down they will going to crash much more that leads for the coin to be dead. So never buy those coins that are not that ild in this thing because new coins are not that strong enough to handle such a downfall. Just when they pump a little higher then that is the time to go because that is for sure will gp up again
190  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: June 04, 2018, 11:27:57 AM
With the price of Bitcoin being so volatile should we ever consider buying or even holding if we have bitcoins?

What are your thoughts??? What should we do??

As it stands today at this moment, the Bitcoin volatility index reads:
4.57% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.54% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

The bitcoin volatility index for present day can be seen at: https://btcvol.info/

My opinion of bitcoin longterm can be investigated here in this post titled "Hacks & puppets & forks - how to destroy bitcoin": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1834310.0

Becwuse you can still gain much more if you hold rather than Selling it. Maybe you are gaining money if you sell that already but if you still hold them and the price continue to rise up of course it will be worth the hold. Just do not waste the opportunity when you have a chance if you sell immediately the price will start to fall so just hold for the price to rise back up again. Bitcoins is a great coin so if you are ggonna panic sell just dont because that investment have given a lot of people a million
191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin gone too much deep?? on: June 04, 2018, 10:34:44 AM
Hello btctalk.i am in this cryptoworld since from many months but i never seen this much deep of btc so i have some questions related to it.

1) why bitcoin price gone this much down?
2)why bitcoin price fluctuate too much?
3)which features affect on the fluctuations of price of btc?
4)Is bitcoin price affect on  altcoins? If yes then which altcoins price get affected by it ŕnd which are not?
5)when  we should see the price increament in BTC?

The reason that the bitcoins are falling too much is simply because the selling are much more than buying because im this year there are a lot of people who sells their bitcoins knowing that the value of the bitcoins falls from almost 20k dollarss up to almost 6k and that is a huge fall that is becwuse they are already falling but the people are still.sellimg theirs not knowing that if they do that the bitcoins value woll just move down. We cannot predict when will the bitcoisn price rise up but all I can see that when the bitcoins gets in the start of the ber months then the demads will rise up again.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if you lose $2,000 in trading? on: June 04, 2018, 09:19:31 AM
Losing your hard earned money on trading is one of the traumatic experiences that might happen to you.  This is usually happen when you are so bullish on the coins you are investing. Here are my thoughts on how to redeem you from this kind of experience.

1. Acknowledge that you did something wrong

There are no other ways to start the process of redemption by accepting the fact that you made wrong decision. You need to accept that every once in a while we do poor judgment. It is important; when this thing happens to us we are ready to humble ourselves that we committed mistakes.

2.   Identify the problems

          a. Lack of experience – I was a successful trader in stock market winning mostly of my trade. But playing here as a day trader in crypto is something new. Your success in stock market doesn’t guarantee you success in BTC.

          b. Playing aggressive – Since I have too much ego in my head I put all my money in one coins only. I didn’t consider altcoins to hedge risk from BTC. There are altcoins who doesn’t affect much by this massive correction.

          c. Didn’t follow my trading plan – Foundation of trading practice is to follow the plan you have originally set. Your exit strategy is one of those important decisions you will made. It composes of selling and cut loss strategy.

3.   Courses of actions

          a. Never stop growing (learn the new market) – In every new things to we do it is very important to know our strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). Money is involved in every trade which make, which gives us reasons why we need to study the every aspects of cryptocurrency.

          b. Follow religiously your trading plan – There some trader who doesn’t have trading plan, in my case I have one which was not followed. Trading plan was based on your personal experience in trading. In time these plans was polished and test its effectiveness. If followed properly chances of success are increase.

          c. Never stop trading – If this single defeat dictates me to stop then the real loss will happen. These circumstances should ignite us to continue, make this experience to hungrier for success.

d.Diversify your portfolio – Never do all in trade. These will gives you room for another alternative once the other coin doesn’t do well. Balance your portfolio composes of your well research coins.

After careful assessment of my situation, I believe that once a trader will always be a trader. I may lose sometimes but will rebound harder and stronger.

Remember merits are perishable if not use

If you lose that kind of money of course you will be disappointed to yourself because that is a lot of money but do not yhink about that lose for a long time think about on how are your gonna win that back because that is a huge money there are a lot of ways to get that money you need to work hard in the second time and learn from that mistake for you to not lose money again there are a lot of scams and faileds in yhis thing that will keep you on lossing but if you can handle them I'm sure profit will come.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: June 03, 2018, 09:28:37 AM
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

I also realize that too especially today that the cryptocurrency are being slow in process in some icos out there unlike before the distribution and the exchanger are fast in terms of when the campaign are ends but today it is been nonths but still they do not have exchanger so we cannot sell it no profit at all within months so it is much better to have a stable regular job rather than sticking into cryptocurrency especially when you are just a small time cryptocurrency because that cant sustain all your expenses
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: June 03, 2018, 06:05:18 AM
I'm wondering this because is such a real threat to bank system and we all know how banks and governments are tightly linked !

BTC could make people more autonomous, self-resilient, being their own bank. You can use it like cash, making your transaction almost untraceable (or untraceable using e.g. monero or dash or laundry systems) : this is governments worst nightmare, isn't it ?

Because not all the government are ready for it. Some of them thinks that bitcoins is going to be a threat in their nation because it is decentralized and the government cannot controlled it so they chose to shut it down before it cost them a rebellious people. But not all the people are like that to think. Some of them are just a normal people who just wanted to gain an extra income just wanted to have an experience so have a digital money a volatile money to have something new. I hope all governments are just like in japan where all are open in innovations like this.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: May 27, 2018, 11:05:24 AM
The Dutch Tulip Mania is one of the most famous bubbles of all time, for the scale of the bubble, the scale of the collapse, and probably including the seemingly obvious nature of the bubble considering the extremely limited functional utility of tulips. Bitcoin has now surpassed the multiples of value appreciation at the height of the Tulip Bubble (and by a wide margin). While this itself is not proof that Bitcoin is a bubble or that a collapse is imminent, it's worth considering if there's a lot more risk buying at this price (currently bouncing around $17,000) than anyone on these boards seems willing or able to recognize.

Thoughts?

I think the tulip is the most famous because they do not have many ups and down they went all the way up and them go down hard and the bitcoins is not like that. They go ups and downs like a roller coster but the thing is the ups is more dominant thsn downs that is why the price go up and up until it reaches its highest peek they are not a bubble because the hing in bitcoins we are controling them there are a lot of people who sell that day because they are very high and the result they go down.
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese Investor bought 10,000 bitcoin during the dip! on: May 27, 2018, 06:01:45 AM
https://www.ccn.com/chinese-angel-investor-gathers-10000-bitcoins-during-bear-q1-2018/
There was one Chinese investor who is now trending after he bought 10k bitcoin during the Q1 bear or during the bearish movement at the first quarter of the year. According to the article he was Cai Wensheng the founder of a selfie-app called Meitu which is very popular in China. This man is a good sign that bitcoin really is becoming more attractive to big enterpreneurs across the globe.

I thought that the bitcoins are strictly prohibited in china? But it seems like Chinese investors wsnt them after all because they always want what is good to their wealth. Rhey knew that the bitcoins will be as great as it is so they will not waste that opportunity because that will be a lot of money. That is a wise move because the dip is a good eay to enter the bitcoins and 10k bitcoins is a lot of money and then the bitcoins will double the price and I am sure that guy might get millions or even billions
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Goverment is not recommending to use digital currency such a bitcoin? on: May 26, 2018, 01:44:25 PM
Yesterday I red article regarding digital currency. The article aim to discourage us in using digital currency as these currency is not recognize by our country monetary institution. What do you think is the reason why  other governments are discouraging its citizen to use digital currency? Any thoughts.....

We do not knownthe real.reasons because only the government itself can answers that accurately. But mt opinion in this thing is they are decentralized which means  the bitcoins are not under the government and because of that is there are some liabilities happened the government cannot do anything because that is not their problem. And i think the government do not fully trusted them no not all of the government. So lets prove to them that the bitcoins is  worth to trust
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people are still buying BTC? on: May 26, 2018, 01:06:30 PM
Hello guys,

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.

Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  Roll Eyes ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.

An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.

Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).

I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

Because even if the bitcoins are dropping they lnow that they will still have a chnace to gain a lot of money because of the past stories of the bitcoins that tgey came to the moon and then a lot of people get a lot of profits. And why fo you think a smoker still continue to smoke even if it will just kill him because there is a part of it that is giving them satisfaction even if there are a lot of altcoins out there of course you will always buy those coins that started you here your first love and that is how loyal people are.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: May 26, 2018, 12:22:16 PM
We all know that there are a lot of bounty in the bounty section as we can see, but my question is how to choose good bounty campaign that we are able to  earn money? Many people mention, that the only way to determine whether the bounty is profitable or not  is by reading its white paper but may I ask to those expert here what is the other way to determine the profitable bounty?

Yes indeed there are a lot of bounties out there and not all of them are gonna give you a huge profit and much worst some of them are scams and faileds. When I am choosing some bounties to participate I always chose those who have a lot of bounty participants in their telegram because fpr me that means those are really famous and can gave me a huge profit but that is not accurate as well sometimes it falils me too. And some is depeding on the manager itself if the bounty mabager is well known them im confident
200  Economy / Economics / Re: A government can create a cryptocurrency ? on: May 26, 2018, 09:58:42 AM
What do you think about this possibility ? Would you invest in your government currency ?

Of course it is possible because they are the Government they are powerful and as what I always heard in the news they are always getting those people who are great in computer and technology to work with them like hackers so if they really wanted to create they they wil really create some. But as what they monitored not all people can cope up yet so maybe they are preparing the people for when their time is on the people will not complaining any morand they are all aware and literate
