181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of new tokens, which are the best? on: September 30, 2017, 10:27:55 PM
CTR just finished its ICO so i think it can still be called "new" token. But they have a great future ahead and lots of growth potential
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sproutscoin. Where can I buy/sell? on: September 30, 2017, 10:03:56 PM
Does anyone out in forum-land know where / how I can get My hands on some sproutcoin?  I think it'd be fun to watch the balance go up and up and up.  Just once, it'd be nice to pretend I'm rich.  Roll Eyes

Disclaimer:
  • I know it's worthless.
  • I understand hyper-inflation.
  • Please do not bother responding if you're going to lecture Me on how smart you are and how stupid My idea is.

Not going to lecture you, but be safe. A coin that is there from 2015 and still does not hold any value is well.... dead

183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DIMEcoin on: September 30, 2017, 09:23:15 PM
dime coin should be 10 cents.. set price ever. like USDTether

My dear friend. This is a very long-term goal. I've said it a long time. An investor with an amount of about 200 million dollars is needed to achieve this goal.

Or get listed on a new exchange with no sell walls to quickly pump the price up
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $1 on: September 30, 2017, 08:47:33 PM
Have closer looks firstly on the market cap of each coin together with the supply not the price itself. That's not decisive to predict 10x or more.  Smiley

Don't expect that a coin will ever reach 10x, because it can be that there is a reason that it is still valued under $1. One is huge supply of coins, or lack of development
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear vs Greed: Leveraging Emotions in Trading Altcoin on: September 30, 2017, 07:32:34 PM
Hello guys! I have been trading altcoin as a hobby for a couple of years now. Recently, I have decided to go "pro" and invest lots more time and money into altcoin trading. I have noticed throughout the years the "fear vs greed" within the cryptocurrency market. You can see this emotional trading pattern in regular stocks as well, but regular stocks are also backed by hard goods, whereas the crypto market is backed by promises, websites, ideas, and developers (or wannabe devs). Therefore the crypto market is HIGHLY leveraged by emotions.

I am a female (look ma, a real girl!), and being a woman, my emotions tend to run higher than a man, which is why the stock market and cryptocurrency market is inherently dominated by men. This is a double edged sword, as i have been working diligently on keeping my emotions low and financial intellegence high while trading. Trading can be very emotional when you lose your ass, or you watch a coin that you were going to invest in skyrocket to 70% overnight (just happened to me, ugh!) So kicking oneself in the pants is a hard habit to break.

However, I am starting to recognize these emotional patterns in trading, noting the "fear vs greed" pattern emerging in the markets. I try to pinpoint overbought and oversold trends and follow the patterns that are really just intangible emotions of traders on the market.

I am noticing, over time, as I trade more and higher volume, my emotions are coming to bay.

Are you an emotional trader? Are you a financially intellegent trader? Any advice on how to keep emotions at bay while trading? Or even how to leverage them?

CryptoDoll

The only way to not be emotional is to stop watching the price every minute/hour or so. Due to high fluctuations the weak hearted will sell to avoid losses, however if you investigate the coin and make a prediction, think about a stop loss price. Make an alert in for example blockfolio app for the stop loss and don't watch it  Grin. If you bought a coin immediately set a sale price for the gain you wish it to be
That is not a way to avoid fear, fear is the part of human thoughts it depend on us to make ourselves get away from this. Fluctuating graph is not the reason of fear, it gives many information to us if we deeply study it, stop watching prices result in missing the right time for selling and buying.

Watching price however increases bad decission making, due to fear of losing more than you want. It's a psychology game, the trick is to stay focussed and play with margins instead of watching your fiat value decrease
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: October - China back in the game ? on: September 30, 2017, 07:04:18 PM
New rumours surfacing about the return of China with regulations in October

https://news.bitcoin.com/virtual-currencies-expected-to-regulated-in-china-on-october-1st/

First of all China was never out of game . It was a big game played by Chinese exchanges and media. They just manipulated the Chinese government's possible regulation decision into ban one and panicked the Chinese hodlers.
Chinese hodlers dumped their coins and exchanges made millions in such dump. There was never closure of exchanges planned on 30th September.

This is actually sad if its true, that false news can travel across the globe and create such unrest. I read in someones post that China has banned bitcoin multiple times, and everytime they did they unbanned it a little bit later and the bitcoin price bounced back even higher. Hopefully this will be the result again and we will see bitcoin price of close to $10K by the end of the year? There will be smiles all around Smiley

In a unregulated market that will always be the problem. You can spread fake news to manipulate the price and buy in cheap. In a regulated market spreading fake news will get you sued. In cryptocurrency world nobody cares (except the people invested into bitcoins)
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ☘☘☘☘ Edgeless EDG Tokens On Liqui.io(BLACKJACK BETA LIVE)☘☘☘☘ on: September 30, 2017, 06:50:44 PM
Many coins are looking for investors by telling the jobs they will do in the future. But the EDGELESS project is now implemented. That's the real difference! This is a totally real project and a real money. EDGELESS owners will fly in front of everyone's eyes. These are what I think for the near future. Best regards...

true, dev team have let us see that there is a working product (still in beta but it is somewhat working) in comparison with other coins that have an idea but no product whatsoever. So i think that EDG will rise back.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between a coin and a Token? on: September 30, 2017, 05:07:35 PM
After the inception of a new currency ethereum, which lead hundred of new ICO.
I'm totally unaware of it, how it works, what is behind it etc etc
Please help me understand the concept of a token, how does it arise? What is the benefit?
Don't hesitate to post a link where I can get all the information.

the thread is self-moderated, Please suggest a better section if it is not the right place.

I know you didn't want a link but here you go: https://medium.com/startup-grind/understanding-the-difference-between-coins-utility-tokens-and-tokenized-securities-a6522655fb91
1 search for difference coin and token got my hundreds of topics with the same question, but you can see that URL as starting point for further questions  Wink
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: - Why I'm NOT selling my Ripple XRP - on: September 30, 2017, 04:45:17 PM
I have read the full article on XRP and the system is doing really well. And I'm not saying that it's like "oh, I can not use bitcoin in my grocery store, why would I buy it". The fact is that my local grocery store will eventually accept payment by wages, but I do not think they will accept ripple payments. To say something like "XRP is a rogue because it's not necessary for ripples to work" you have to think that Twitter should be building its own network that requires you to use Twitter rather than end up. push and develop the Internet.
I am holding onto my plan and slowly add as much as possible.

There you made the misstake. XRP is not a payment method but a transaction method. The way you pay your merchant will stay the same (or eventually will include BTC payments). XRP comes in after you paid the merchant and is the transactions between the merchant and the bankaccount.

Another example is paying wages. If a company (at least in europe) pays wages, it can take a business day for the bank to complete the transactions and deposit the amount onto your bank account. With XRP underlying technology it can be done instantly.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have BILLION dollar idea on: September 30, 2017, 02:17:42 PM
My idea could make billions and billions and billions and billions of dollars.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_aLESDql1U

But I am not code savvy nor financially free to execute this brilliant FLASH idea I had. Of course there is something similar in the market like for everything. There was money and then there was bitcoin. They are quite different but still similar. Same with my idea.

What now? Usually I just wait and do nothing. And after few months-years I would see exact same idea on market raising or making millions/billions of FU$KKKK. This time I do not want to just sit and wait..

1. Where's the idea?
2. Why is it a billion dollar idea, not a million dollar idea
3. Is this idea realistic?
4. Why did you think about it and nobody else?
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Pumps and Night Dumps? Vice Versa? on: September 30, 2017, 02:12:43 PM
The coins i am watching pump and dump trough the whole day no difference between night and day. However there are some fluctuations between night and day and even seasons if you look at some coins history

Seasons are an interesting concept. I wonder of altcoin seasonal fluctuations would correspond with the regular stock market seasonal fluctuations. Do you know of the particular coins that have had seasonal history?

There was another topic on here about christmas and BTC price, conclusion was that BTC price would dip a little bit in november and rise in december. Can't find the topic now  Undecided

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RIPPLE PRICE on: September 30, 2017, 01:39:41 PM
give me 1 reason why i must buy ripleshit?  Cheesy
riple centralized coin, not mineable, if developer want to rising marketcap, they are will release new riple  Cheesy

If you don't believe in it nobody can make you change minds, however i do believe if there are enough banks that will make use of XRP technology. Their invention can beat SWIFT for bank to bank transactions.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RIPPLE PRICE on: September 30, 2017, 01:37:06 PM
ON 17TH MAY RIPPLE WAS AT 24000 SATOSHI
CAN IT HIT 20000 SATOSHI ON 18 TH OCTOBER

Asking in CAPS doesn't make it happen. The price will go up with the event, however nobody can say how much it will be worth. Just watch the price closely as the event is coming.

And what is this event that you speak of? I haven't been following Ripple until a couple of days ago. Is there information on their website about this even or in a Slack channel? Thanks in advance!

here you go https://ripple.com/insights/news/announcing-swell-by-ripple/

If you save your keychain file on a remote place and don't fall for phishing attempts and/or get hacked and someone steals your private key MEW is safe.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRA vs TENX PAY on: September 30, 2017, 09:32:28 AM
TenX raised 80 million, but centra raised much less. TenX is top 20, so pay is better.

You know that Tenx is longer in the game than Centra. Hell Centra just finished their ICO. That 80 million will soon hit and than we can evaluate which is better.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detect a scam ICO? on: September 29, 2017, 09:19:35 PM
You should always look up all of the members on the team and see if they really exist and have the experience they claim they have.  I always avoid ICO's with an anonymous team since it's just too risky even though it's not necessarily means it's a scam.
