181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 17, 2022, 08:49:53 AM
~snip~
FIFA has rejected Chile's request to ban their South American opponents Ecuador from the World Cup, despite Chile's appeal, FIFA allowed Ecuador to participate in the Qatar World Cup and FIFA has confirmed Ecuador's presence at the tournament.

With evidence showing Byron Castillo was born in Colombia, Chile argued that Castillo was not eligible to play for Ecuador and called for action that would allow Chile to take Ecuador's place in the competition. The FIFA Appeals Committee, however, has ended the legal action brought against the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF).

It looks like this saga will continue still....

The Chilean soccer federation will appeal against FIFA’s verdict to CAS in Lausanne, Switzerland.  Sport’s highest court can organize an urgent hearing and ruling in the nine weeks left until the World Cup starts.

“It is a sad day for soccer and for fair play. The message is clear — tricks are allowed,” Chilean federation lawyer Eduardo Carlezzo said, adding “there is an enormous amount of documents which prove that the player undoubtedly was born in Colombia.”

This is the last step though. Whatever the next outcome is, that's going to be final.
I guess that FIFA going to do whatever it can to save its face aka Eduardo will be able to join the World Cup. But Chile will make sure it is costly for both FIFA and Eduardo. If another jurisdiction from any international football committee verifies that Chile's claim about Castillo was born in Colombia is true, both FIFA and Eduardo going to lose every credibility they have. Sent a strong message around the world that FIFA is so crocked to allow nations to cheat at the World Cup level.

meth crap

you too can fuck off with your shitcoin shilling
If ETH, a coin at #2 of CMC then what Bitcoin at #1 is? Dude, your definition of what shitcoin and what not is very narrow and binary. I like both Bitcoin and ETH. You guys just lack the tolerance to appreciate both of them.

You may not remember but we had several No. 2 coins over the years: LTC, cRipple, mEth

It doesn't matter what market cap a shitcoin has...  the USD, CNY, EUR... all have a higher market cap than BTC.. Does it make them any less shitty?

Meth was and is a premined shitcoin for big holders who control it..  it's almost as bad as cRipple

if you don't get that the whole mEth system is a giant scam, I cannot help you...

You guys just lack the tolerance to appreciate both of them.

so if I don't appreciate something you like, I'm intolerant ?  so you decide what people must appreciate ?  ...get lost with your big ego..

Am I forcing you guys to like something you dont? A guy said 'it was full of shit cause over complicated' and I said, 'it wasn't that shit, complicated is good" because I saw merits in it. Give an opinion and repleted told to fuck off because this is Bitcoin maxis safe place. Okay, I get it. ETH is the bad word here, right? Maybe see things differently, or try to tone down on your role-playing of Bitcoin maxis a bit. Just saying that enough to make me become the one with big ego? Whatever, really.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: September 14, 2022, 07:41:08 PM
^^^ Kazakhstan maybe the top producer of Uranium, but most of that Uranium is being enriched in facilities inside Russia. So there is a dependency on Russia. And it will be interesting if Kazakhstan decide to stop sending the ore to Russia, in order to convert it to nuclear fuel. Not many countries are having Uranium enrichment capability. In case Kazakhstan opt Japan or United States instead of Russia, then the latter will find itself in trouble. Because Rosatom has long-term contracts for supply of nuclear fuel with a large number of countries around the world.
Yep, Russia isn't just Uranium enrichment processes but also enrichment of used nuclear fuel and nuclear waste disposal. Russia is the key player here where contracts usually allow Russia to reprocess uranium and take care of the nuclear fuel, becoming a place to store nuclear wastes. I can't really think of a vision where nuclear energy become widely available without Russia in its supply chain to keep the cost down. At least for 10-20 years till countries start to ramp up their enrichment plant and nuclear waste disposal capability, slowly less dependent on Russia.

Sound a bit discouraged and some might think we are just trading one overlord for another if switching to nuclear energy. But as you say, it's still much cheaper than fossil fuel and nuclear fuel could be stored ahead. The down payment cost to open up a new nuclear energy plant for electricity and time till it reaches its full capacity might be discouraged but in the long term, totally worth it. Look at France right now, 70% of electricity production comes from nuclear energy, and sells excess electricity to its neighborhoods.

ummm you do know what thread you are in, right?

we care not what happens in eth land.

if its not Bitcoin, sod off please
So what now? We can talk about nearly anything here, including stock trends and FED's bullshit try or even tits and ass but when ETH got mentioned, no don't talk about it? It's okay for that dude to rant off about how shit ETH is (according to him) but when I showed him: "Nah, it wasn't that shit" then I'm the one who crossed the line here?

Do you guys want to make this thread become a safe place for Bitcoin-only? Cause if yes then I'll shut up right away. Be whatever safe place or echo chamber Bitcoin maxis want. You know what? I'm a bit Bitcoin maxis too because the rest of the market is full of trash. But I still see some merit in a few coins out there.

You proved my point exactly.

A complex problem introduced that then needs a complex solution to benefit absolutely no one on Earth.

Top job.

That is not the definition of a good programmer regardless. It is the definition of an arrogant twat who happens to be able to program.

I've worked with many programmers in the past who think they can create frameworks on their own. Only for their code to be tossed out in the end because something better comes along that is easier to use OR they should have just used a commonly accepted standard rather than building their own temporary piece of crap.
Vitalik sounds like a king amongst those types of people.

Shitcoins will continue to eat each other whilst BTC does its own thing.

The perfect network where arrogancy was avoided by its creator leaving the building in time.
If you put it that way. I understand the need to simplify your code. But at the same time, you know there are many packages and old libraries that really needed an overhaul but every time some upstart coders think they can do it, want to do it, everyone would rather shoot it down with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

In crypto, I don't think you can afford the lightweight and easy-to-maintain route. I know some prefer to look at the thing as a trim-down version for the sake of being easy to explain to others and to approach. I have to disagree with you on "A complex problem introduced that then needs a complex solution to benefit absolutely no one on Earth." It's just full of prejudices on what is complex or not, benefit or not.

When a certain group of people got something working for all its intent and purpose, anything more than that is just over the top, or too complicated for them. Will you shoot down any new or creative approach because of that? Or set some line on what is okay because it was simple? Yeah, you guys are full of narrow minds and prejudices.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 14, 2022, 06:18:02 PM
The most interesting game of this week can be Milan - Napoli.

There is a really interesting statistics about this matchup. I checked the head-to-head games and saw that Milan can't defeat Napoli in San Siro in a league game since December 2014. Napoli will have a huge psychological predominance against them as a result. It is up to Milan to put an end to this bad luck. They have a Champions League game to start in ten minutes and getting a win here would motivate them even more for the Napoli game. Milan and Napoli are both doing great in the Serie A now. Maybe it is a risk to take but I'm thinking of betting on Milan win @2.24.
I think Milan will try their best to take advance of San Siro, their home field to have a win against Napoli. Cause when they are on the guest at San Paolo, they'll definitely lose. For the Millan match with Dinamo Zagreb, hope Millan will not overwork their players but still earn 3 points ( 2-1 right now, seem like this will be the final score).
As you said, Millan will meet with Napoli so any injury to the main squad is going to be a catastrophe for the next match. And I saw Millan take note of it, Charles De Ketelaere is in to replace Olivier Giroud at ~70' of the match.

All this Ethereum merge shite sounds complicated and a load of bollocks. Just like a typical shitcoin would do. Just head into the direction where the wind is blowing.
No consistency, no reliable fundamentals.

Just pure shit.

The shitiest of shit.

Ultra Shit.

Shit in pure overdrive.

Yeah, it's complicated but good complicated. Not the kind of buzzwords that may sound complicated to impress you like a typical shitcoin try to flying novadays. Hate to repost but below is a chart of what is going on in the ETH development. A bit outdated since ETH PoS is going to Merge soon (ETA ~12 more hours).

And please don't hate on my boi Vitalik. Dude is like coder on steroids (or drug lol). Here, an interesting piece from Vitalik site talks about sharding and how to improve it against 51% attack. Warning, a long read. I tried to snip a few paragraphs to encourage anyone to read out the link below.
https://vitalik.ca/general/2021/04/07/sharding.html

Quote

Sharding through Random Sampling
The easiest version of sharding to understand is sharding through random sampling. Sharding through random sampling has weaker trust properties than the forms of sharding that we are building towards in the Ethereum ecosystem, but it uses simpler technology.

The core idea is as follows. Suppose that you have a proof of stake chain with a large number (eg. 10000) validators, and you have a large number (eg. 100) blocks that need to be verified. No single computer is powerful enough to validate all of these blocks before the next set of blocks comes in.

Hence, what we do is we randomly split up the work of doing the verification. We randomly shuffle the validator list, and we assign the first 100 validators in the shuffled list to verify the first block, the second 100 validators in the shuffled list to verify the second block, etc. A randomly selected group of validators that gets assigned to verify a block (or perform some other task) is called a committee.

When a validator verifies a block, they publish a signature attesting to the fact that they did so. Everyone else, instead of verifying 100 entire blocks, now only verifies 10000 signatures - a much smaller amount of work, especially with BLS signature aggregation. Instead of every block being broadcasted through the same P2P network, each block is broadcasted on a different sub-network, and nodes need only join the subnets corresponding to the blocks that they are responsible for (or are interested in for other reasons).

Consider what happens if each node's computing power increases by 2x. Because each node can now safely validate 2x more signatures, you could cut the minimum staking deposit size to support 2x more validators, and so hence you can make 200 committees instead of 100. Hence, you can verify 200 blocks per slot instead of 100. Furthermore, each individual block could be 2x bigger. Hence, you have 2x more blocks of 2x the size, or 4x more chain capacity altogether.

...

Recap: how are we ensuring everything is correct again?
Suppose that you have 100 blocks and you want to efficiently verify correctness for all of them without relying on committees. We need to do the following:

+Each client performs data availability sampling on each block, verifying that the data in each block is available, while downloading only a few kilobytes per block even if the block as a whole is a megabyte or larger in size. A client only accepts a block when all data of their availability challenges have been correctly responded to.

+Now that we have verified data availability, it becomes easier to verify correctness. There are two techniques:
_We can use fraud proofs: a few participants with staked deposits can sign off on each block's correctness. Other nodes, called challengers (or fishermen) randomly check and attempt to fully process blocks. Because we already checked data availability, it will always be possible to download the data and fully process any particular block. If they find an invalid block, they post a challenge that everyone verifies. If the block turns out to be bad, then that block and all future blocks that depend on that need to be re-computed.
_We can use ZK-SNARKs. Each block would come with a ZK-SNARK proving correctness.

+In either of the above cases, each client only needs to do a small amount of verification work per block, no matter how big the block is. In the case of fraud proofs, occasionally blocks will need to be fully verified on-chain, but this should be extremely rare because triggering even one challenge is very expensive.

And that's all there is to it! In the case of Ethereum sharding, the near-term plan is to make sharded blocks data-only; that is, the shards are purely a "data availability engine", and it's the job of layer-2 rollups to use that secure data space, plus either fraud proofs or ZK-SNARKs, to implement high-throughput secure transaction processing capabilities. However, it's completely possible to create such a built-in system to add "native" high-throughput execution.

It's like everything is indicating a MOUZ win for this matchup.
i fell into the bookies trap  Sad

i thought it was gonna be a rough debut for xertioN's, but he ended up top fragging

ngl, the quality of this group is really bad, it feels like a tier 3 tourney like Pinnacle Series or Funspark  Grin  i might just skip this group and save myself from disappointment of losing more bets :⌃)
Skip all the matches in ESL pro league group stage, dude. Take from my earlier post. Too much gap between the top tier team and the other. Top tier teams can get past this stage easity, they either withhold their strats or find a match to 'fixed'. Full of bullshit isn't worth your money right now. Better save your money for the playoff matches where things start to spice up.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: September 14, 2022, 01:18:11 PM
I think it mainly caused crisis in Europe geographically. Türkiye and China who are other gas buyers from Russia are totally unaffected with the war. So its hard to say it caused global crisis. Europe made a mistake building its all industries with considering cheap gas from Russia. Russia as a state was and still is aggressor in every region they involved.
I also think people will realize how important nuclear energy is. If you don't own any natural resources nuclear is #1 energy source still.

I am saying this for quite some time. Nuclear energy is the solution to energy crisis in the world. It is the cleanest, cheapest and safest form of energy available.

Now we need to remember that Kazakhstan produces around 50% of the global output of Uranium. If nuclear energy gains dominance in the future, then Kazakhstan will find itself in a tricky situation and it will attract attention from the global powers. Already there is some sort of proxy war between Russia and Turkey going on in this country. Kazakhstan used to be aligned with Russia, but in recent times they have shifted their loyalties towards Turkey.
Agree. Only nuclear energy can help countries independent from the control of oil cartels. Widely available nuclear energy help developing countries move forward to the heavy industry phase. I saw you have the same preaching about nuclear energy as me, maybe we should open a club to shill for nuclear energy in bitcointalk.

Yes, Kazakhstan takes the share of 50% Uranium in the global export right now. If more countries switch to nuclear energy, I say Uranium production will be more attractive and countries will scale up their production too.

Uranium reserves around the world stood at more than 6 million tonnes (2019) while total Uranium production in 2021 is around 48,000 tonnes. There might be more Uranium reserves around cold countries unexplored due to permafrost (specifically: Canada, Greenland, Siberia and Antarctica). There is also Thorium that have the potential to replace Uranium in the future as a nuclear fuel and Thorium is 3 times more abundant compared to Uranium. In case anyone wonders how many Uranium we have left and what if it runs out.

What the fck is that?

I'd say somebody got impatient and decided to cash in early.
Not pleasant, but it happens. Keep in mind that not everybody targets over 100% profit even on bitcoin.
If you zoom out it may make more sense.
Make sense. The only way I can see somebody got profits from this is by opening a long position back when BTC was $19k-20k a few days ago and closing it down now. The whatever-leverage would provide enough profit to justify cash out early as the uncertainty from the stock market right now.

What makes me more baffled is how the stock market reacted to the Aug report on inflation. Do they really expect a lower inflation rate? Hence dump it after the inflation rate failed to meet their expectation.
"Oh no, it dropping for the second month but not as low as we expected and our stock is already (priced in) for it so dump, lol"
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 INFLATION FALLS TO 8.3%, DROPPING FOR THE SECOND MONTH IN A ROW.

I think the strongest team in DOTA came from WEU or CHINA. SEA region has good and strong teams, but they are still not as competitive as the teams in CHINA and WEU. But the dedication and the commitment to get better are there. Maybe someday, we will also see a SEA team getting the TI championships.
Yup, the SEA region isn't on the same tier as WEU or China region right now but the potential is there. Indonesia and Philippines with occasionally good players appear from Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. What we lack is mental fortitude for SEA region Dota2 players.

Lots of big names playing tommorow.  Pasha and friends, big names from ten years ago.   A special lan, bo1 it looks like so just interest for me not betting really.
What you saying is Kinguin Legends 2022, I guess. A lot of used to be big name and hall of fame CS players like Maikelele, Edward, GuardiaN, pashaBiceps, f0rest, olofmeister, HeatoN, kennyS, SmithZz,... Seem fun and a fun event, not for betting exactly.

Seeing NaVi and FaZe in the playoff round won't make the other 2nd and 3rd teams in the groups happy at all.  Grin

Many people were expecting these two to end their groups at the first place as usual but especially NaVi would have been even out of the tournament after group stage. This isn't good for the team of my country which are Eternal Fire also. If they can't finish their group as the first then they might face the best or second best team in the world in the playoffs. I really want Eternal Fire to make a big progress here after making important changes in the roster. The spirit of Space Soldiers will be back for them hopefully. They have had tactical issues especially. Otherwise they are full of players with great aims. They were weak on Ancient due to not playing any official match so I hope they will have solved that issue also until the tournament starts for them.
Ahh, you come from Türkiye, I guess. Space Soldiers back then was on the same level as the EU top teams. Heck, I remember Space Soldiers even on top 10 HLTV and giving some big names back then a hard game. Sad to see the xantares and co fall out, he went to play for BIG and then the rest is history. I still remember the 'xantares peek' meme and we were joking he was an onliner and such. Now you mentioned it, you have my interest in the Eternal Fire team in the upcoming stage round for group D.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: OPEC+ slashes oil production by 100K barrels per day as prices fall on: September 13, 2022, 08:50:16 AM
100K barrels per day isn't much. For example, the US alone consumes about 19 million barrels per day. Less than 0.5% compared to the US only, much less than the total consumption of oil per day for the whole world. Tho, this still raises some suspicion from me as this could be OPEC+ 's moves to test the water (to see US's reaction, perhaps?). If no one bats an eye, they could slash more oil production per day cite as prices fall. This opens up an understanding in the market that OPEC+ want their oil at a certain price range which set a very dangerous precedent for the outlook of oil price could be cheap again.

Shameless shill: More proof that we need to stop relying on fossil fuels for energy and under the thumb of the oil cartels. Renewable energy isn't enough to replace our need for energy. Only nuclear energy could change it and upset the oil cartels/fossil fuels.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 13, 2022, 08:26:42 AM
Reflecting on the previous match in the hot Pre-season between them, it is clear that the current Elclasico will attract more attention because in this match it is clear that there is prestige at stake apart from the struggle for position.
In Pre-season some time ago they started hot and there were a few incidents that time and it is not impossible that the same will happen in this match.
El Clasico in every season always presents interesting and fierce matches, of course that will also happen this season, especially when Real Madrid and Barcelona are on fire.
Regarding the fight for first place, I don't think it's too serious a problem because there are still many games until the end of the season and these two teams are only 2 points adrift, what these two teams need is consistency and about El Clasico is the prestige to be able to win it.
I hope that until next month's El Clasico the performance of Real Madrid and Barcelona will still be the same as it is today and it will be very interesting to see the strength of these two teams.
Not meant to be bad but after the death of several players like Messi, Villa, Xavi and Iniesta in Barcelona and Cristiano, Ozil, Pepe and Sergio in Madrid, the Elclasico is not as interesting as it used to be in recent years and just like an ordinary game.
But now there is a change because it is now clear that their respective squads have new players who can add to the atmosphere for a fight in prestige.
I can totally understand what you meant. You've to look this way: back then only a few cherries on the top, a few selective players have enough skill sets to be superstar players. And the media only make sensation news around these guys cause they're the best that we've got at that time.

But now, the skillset isn't that rare or uncommon anymore. Good players come out from many football academies around the world. You'd say the market is oversaturated hence media is less likely to cover news only around a few superstar players as we saw years ago. This makes you think the prestige isn't on the same level as before. I can assure you, in terms of quality players, we ain't falling and still on the same level or even improving compare to before.

I say Elclasico is still interesting as it was before. Not by the number of superstar players in the match but by the coach's tactics, team play,... the overall team together.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto day trader groups on: September 13, 2022, 08:01:00 AM
Like everyone had said, it's just a waste of time to be in the day trader/signal groups. Paid or not. Better spend your time learning how the market works, open a trial account, trade and learn the basics from there. Or learn about the technical terms, and situational for crypto in general.

Cause information/tips/signals from any trader group are unreliable and have to be seen from a cynical point of view. No one going to give out free lunch. This brings you back to your situation: if you're a newbie, knowing that you knew nothing about the market and how it works and had to rely on those groups then you're completely under their thumb, under their manipulation. See how many risks you put yourself in?

All eyes of football fans will be on Bayern-Barcelona tonight. Especially dramatic will be the fact that it is Robert Lewandowski's first match against his former team. But I still think that Bayern will win, although the outcome could be anything, because Barcelona are in good form right now. It would also be fun if Ajax beat Liverpool away because they also show great football. Lots of really interesting matches today!

Most likely Bayern will win as Barcelona despite being in good form cannot stand a chance against Bayern tonight. The reason for that is simple, even when Barcelona had all the super star players of the world Bayern beat them like 0-6 or something like that which showed great supremacy from Bayern. Now Bayern is also in a much better shape than Barcelona is so it is widely expected a victory for them but as I said before it is better to bet on both teams to score rather than on money line.
Using past match results between clubs to guess today's match is not a good indication. Sure Barcelona has a good number of superstar players back then and still lose to Bayern. In my opinion, Barcelona right now despite doesn't have the level of superstar players compared to back then, they're still on the same level back then altogether as a team. Had high hope for Barcelona to meet with Bayern tonight and I say both teams are on the very same level right now. You're right on bet on both teams to score.

French President announces Paris Major - May 8-21

Quote
The news follows France's president Emmanuel Macron's comments from his pre-election campaign in April, in which he expressed his promise to support the esports scene in the country and his ambition for France to host a CS:GO Major and other esports events.

Macron released a video Tweet on Sunday, revealing that Paris would host BLAST's CS:GO Major in May in the Accor Arena, ahead of the announcement released by BLAST itself.

Good for the scene overall, 1st for France and Blast also.
Yeah, good news there. France seems like wants to be in the center of the esports scene. Apparently, not just CSGO Major but he also plans to host LOL World and Dota2 TI in France as well. All set like a trial for Emmanuel Macron to official including esport games: CSGO, LOL, and Dota2 in the Olympic Paris 2024.

The hype is out. No doubt many esport organizers will have to rethink their planning from now on. Because of the exposure if they were able to make to the Olympic. Sponsorship and advertising deals going to jump at them, and revenue from esport games will increase significantly.

Any maybe it'll trickle down back to the esport betting scene we're in right now.
snip

The SEA qualifier will start tomorrow. I am so excited to see the new T1 line-up for the first time. I really hope they can take the final slot. Who knows, maybe this line-up is the one to win TI for SEA for the first time. Grin
This is it, SEA bros. We might not able to go to the Olympic or compete against countries around the world in the traditional spots in the Olympic. But with esport, the chance to earn Olympic medals for SEA Dota2 teams is there! No matter if SEA teams lose or win in the upcoming match, you guys have to support them.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 12, 2022, 09:56:13 AM
Both of you are right, $400 Million can be a small amount to Stake.com and that same amount can also be seen as a big amount but that depends on which angle you are trying to see, and currently Stake.com has a net worth of more or less $1 Billion dollar. So, we can somehow say that in any case, Stake.com won't pay that ridiculous amount as a settlement for the said lawsuit and it is already expected that they will try to make that settlement go to a much lower amount where it can be described as a reasonable amount for the both sides.
400 million dollars is not a small amount of money, not at all. But has there been anything like the court saying that Stake should pay the amount? No. I am not expecting that as well. Even if Stake is truly at fault, the court can not make it oay such huge amount unless certain things are considered first.
400 million dollars is never a small amount even with a billion dollar company such as Stake. However, the number of 400 million dollars is what the plaintiff or the former partner of stake demanded and it will never the final amount whether he won his case on the court. A lot of things are needed to be considered during trial for a fair amount to be decided.
The best example of this is the Johnny Depp lawsuit case with Amber Heard. Depp sued for $50 million in damages and Heard countersued back for $100 million. Eventually, the jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages while Heard got awarded $2 million in compensatory damages, but $0 in punitive damages. Expect the same in this case, Stake.com might even counter back if that claim is unsustained, causing damage to the Stake.com branding,... A typical lawsuit will go back and fore till both sides realize they have to settle down.

Anyways, I don't think the former partner has a high chance on winning his case but still wanted to proceed with it to gain money against Stake.
Same, although the ex-partner doesn't have a high chance of winning, Stake.com might try to settle with the ex-partner by % of that $400 million and an agreement to move on.

Barcelona still has a chance and opportunity to beat Real Madrid and take the standings to number one because their strength is ready to fight Real Madrid, because this match is still long so there is still a chance but in the future Barcelona face an opponent that is not easy, they will meet Bayern Munich where the players are a strong team that has often scored a large number of goals in the previous match and has won the Champions League.
Performance of resent Bayern Munich can't be tough to Barcelona except Bayern Munich returns to the way they play from the beginning.  In laliga I don't see the strength of Real Madrid to be more superior than that of Barcelona right now.
It will be hard to tell who is stronger until the powerful teams face each other. La Liga is only a few days away, we will see strong teams facing off against each other in a few days. Then I can basically understand how well any club has organized their team.
In my opinion, this season's La Liga is again dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona, while other teams, such as Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, may be disruptive teams, but cannot completely destroy the dominance of the two teams.  Barcelona had lost its momentum during the Ronald Koeman era, but now under Xavi's control, Barcelona are again the strong favorites to win the 2022/2023 season with Real Madrid.

Not just in the La Liga league. I say Barcelona is a strong contender to win this year's Champion League cup too with their powerhouse, Lewandowski. Barcelona didn't have the full of stars in their squad like PSG, players worth almost a hundred million,... but thanks to Xavi's control and leadership, they get a good result and almost a dominant standing in La Liga. Have to give Xavi credit for how Barcelona turned out under his control. A prime example is the Lewandowski deal. Xavi knows Aubameyang isn't worth keeping and tries to sell him right away, even with a price lower than what they want initial. Then Barcelona bought Lewandowski.
200  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Binance giving more Apr in fixable staking (saving) than locked staking? on: September 12, 2022, 09:12:50 AM
Flexible staking is one that I can withdraw whenever I want, and locked staking is one that is locked for a certain period of time to earn interest.(USDT,BUSD)
Now my question is, is there any risk in flexible staking?
Flexible staking is also a benefit for us, then why are they giving more APR on it?

I think you didn’t notice that Binance Flexible Staking has tier based system which only allows certain amount of money in able to benefits on high APY. I post the example below for BUSD Tier Rate.

Tier 1:  0-2000BUSD ; 8% Apy
Tier 2: 2000-20000BUSD ; 0.8% Apy

The greater your capital means you will have less APR on flexible staking while lock staking doesn’t have this kind of limitation. Flexible taking is good if you are using only small capital that is not greater on the first Tier to enjoy the highest APY.
This is the same with the Binance Saving system, APR on flexible staking at 20% for BUSD/USDT only at below $200. From $200-2000, it was 10% APR. Any more than that, 0.3% APR.
I think it was a way for Binance to attract smaller fund accounts. Or people didn't have a Binance account yet to encourage them to open up an account there and make less than $2000 deposit for 10% APR. Sort of Binance wants both whales, big fish, and small fish too. Tho, with the APR at less than 0.8% APR for staking and 0.3% for saving in stablecoins, the bank interest rate is much more attractive than Binance. Maybe they don't want to flex on the bank's turf, yet.
