181  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Have you actually used bitcoin for any payment in your country? on: May 10, 2019, 07:22:26 AM
Like to know how far is adoption spreading... Tell us what you have used crypto to pay for and what platform!!
How easy was the process?
have been using bitcoin and ethereum to pay for my phone bills
I actually do it to support the use of crypto as a currency

I was actually going to do that because we have a very useful exchange site that can also be use to pay bills and game purchases but the idea that bitcoin is just popping in value always at 2017 stopped me. However, I tried it one time to load my mobile sim card and I have never paid anything with btc after.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: May 10, 2019, 01:26:23 AM
Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

I know that feeling. It's like a strong magnet that pulls you to that gambling site or casino after your losses. It won't let you sleep and it will make you think about it for a few days thinking that a few spins or rolls, you can retrieve your money back and win maybe more. But that is also not good if you go back playing again because for me stopping after you first loss is for your own good. $3k is so much money to me but playing again could lose 10x more than that so be very, very careful.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: May 09, 2019, 12:24:41 PM
It is very clear and it is usually an entertainment for the rich people. They show their entourage or their business partners to show how much money they got when they bet on a game like poker.  But for poor people, gambling was never an entertainment because the rush to win is already right from the start because they hunger for a lot of money.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 09, 2019, 01:04:06 AM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/

I think it's unavoidable but can be lessen if the government will kindly cooperate with us. It is not just crypto that can be used as a scam but it is hot right now and scammers are deceiving others by showing the growth of this market but they are not familiar with the technical aspect so our only way to stop them is to educate on the social media or by personal.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good idea to buy some bitcoin now? on: May 08, 2019, 11:40:41 AM
As currently, Bitcoin price is about $3400, almost the lowest price of past 10 months.

Is it the right time to invest some for the moment?

Thank you for any suggestion

I wish you really did mate at that time because right now, those who did are getting their roi 2x. And I think it won't stop there because there are a lot of good news like more financial investors that wants to pour their riches on crypto. The harder the btc gets mined on the next year is also a great catalyst for the next pump.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: May 08, 2019, 01:44:32 AM
It is just so funny that we complain that  we could not reach $4k back then but now it is fast apporaching $6k at this moment. It was $5.9k yestersday and I know why it is still getting holded back. This clearly makes me not to worry now whenever there is a bull market because we can easily get back up just like what is happening right now. BTC is always unstoppable as always.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will survive on: May 07, 2019, 12:48:40 PM
Yes it will but not everyone of them is going to continue to the next 10 or 20 years. Only those altcoins that has essential use in the market that is extremely useful like in the category of data  like medical history or in the digital payments. The altcoins that are going to be wiped away are the pump and dump. Those that are below 100 of cmc has the higher chance of not surviving at all.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the IEO cheating / Should I invest in IEO? on: May 07, 2019, 02:00:23 AM
I think IEO cheating can only happen in small exchanges but not in with highly credible and high standards like Binance, Okex , Bittrex. If ICO can cheat their collected or raised money then they cannot do it on those top tier exchanges. When IEO became a very successful token sale then that means people trust so you should try investing on it.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is favourite bounty in 2019?? on: May 06, 2019, 09:15:16 AM
I'm now with Bitvest bounty and I'm happy with it.
I don't have to wait till the ICO ends, I can withdraw from it whenever I want.
I get paid every week in my bitcoin wallet and spend it instantly anywhere.
Thought the initial payment are low, regular users get increased payments.
The campaign still have some slots left for users in it's Tier E.

Legendary and Sr. member are sure not feeling the dryness of bounty campaign because I still see a few bounties that pays btc in the services section that needs them.  While us on the lower bracket needs to  take a risk on ICO bounties. If only the ranking mechanics  is still the same then I think hardworking bounty hunters will still get something.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is following the same path of 2017 on: May 04, 2019, 12:44:20 AM
The bitcoin behavior this year is mimicking 2017.
Has anyone seen what I have been seeing? I think the bitcoin is following the same path of 2017 with a slight difference.
If bitcoin gets to the new ATH in December, who's buying the LAMBO with me? Grin Compare April-May 2017 to now and see what I'm talking about!

I disagree. I think it's just trying to recover a good position in this year. It is still hard for bitcoin to reach even $20k by the end of the year. This year is just a way to exercise the mind of people who lost their faith on btc or skeptic to see that it will rise and will always will as the time goes by. I see more chances of breaking ath on 2020 with the help of the next halving.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Big risk ,big results. on: May 03, 2019, 12:30:11 PM
A guy bought a very big house, which triggered an argument on a telegram group.
some people were arguing on a telegram group that they guy couldn't have bought the house with only trading profit....some insinuated that he must be into other businesses.
I laughed at their ignorance.
Why? Because I know that even in this present market condition that some skilled traders are making a killing.
I'm not talking about traders who trade with small capital here.
The conclusion is that when you trade with massive capital ,you earn massively.

That is really true and I am one of the witness of these occassions. I am also part or member of groups in Facebook on forex and stock trading and people really invest huge money on it and even a 10%-20% upward movement on their picks, they can instantly pull out $100k - $1M of ROI in that. They always show their screenshots that telling everyone that the true investments are the in those who risks big capital.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Startups companies on: May 03, 2019, 12:01:18 AM
Do you believe in the crypto startups? As a member of a startup exchange I want to ask you:

Do you go and give a chance on new exchanges or you stick on the same for a long time?
If not why ? Smiley

I only give new exchanges  a chance if they list a coin that I don't find in any exchange. I remember owning raiblocks(which is now nano) and only  bitgrail is the only exchange that list that coin so I often used it. I believe that is the right strategy for a startup exchange to start getting traders/users and be known which is to find a golden gem and list it when nobody still knows about its real value.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still hodl? Then we go to you! on: May 02, 2019, 12:14:21 PM
Do you still hold coins and wait for them to grow?
I trade every day and make a profit. I can make a few in one day. For a month, it turns out about 100%
Why sit and hodl coin?

You are a terrible liar, don't you know that? Even veteran traders are complaining and whining last year and the first few months of this year that it's so hard to profit on the mark and they just make jokes and memes just to make things light. You can trade everyday and make profit but 100% every month is hardly impossible. HODL can even beat that with 1000x when the bull start keeps going.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why blame people for your failure? on: May 02, 2019, 01:14:07 AM
I come across different posts and allegations that bounty hunters are dumpers and they make projects lose it value upon exchange listing. But from my experience with bounties most projects don't offer bounty allocation of more than 5% of the total token sold. So how will 5% dump have a huge effect on the remaining 95% price. And what about projects that don't have bounties but still dump hard on the exchange, is it bounty hunters too?
The bitter truth is that most projects dump because of the ridiculous number of bonuses the team have offered during the tokensale and pre-sale period. Imagine giving investors 70% bonus for their investments, they can decide to sell everything off and be happy with the 70% profit.

It's the bear market and not the bounty hunter or the investors. Before 2018, projects can still stay above .5-2x of roi when it gets listed and take note, they offered huge bounty rewards at the same time with the huge bonuses for investors. It's just that we have lost many real investors and what's left are the people who do hit and run to ICO.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BULL RUN 2019 on: May 01, 2019, 11:55:36 AM
You mates can prepare by doing the HODL but first you must have a lot of btc and some great altcoins on your portfolio and the perfect time to do that should be this month or on the next few months. I feel that we will rise slowly and it started this april and it will continue to work that way until it reaches the $100k mark possibly in 2020.
196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dangers of a HODL’er: on: May 01, 2019, 01:09:39 AM
One of the dangers of doing the HODL strategy for me is that you might lose the perfect timing to sell. That is my ultimate mistake that I don't want to experience again. It's dangerous for the rest of the altcoins but btc is an exception to that. There are many buyers of btc when it is very cheap that they forgot they own but suddenly remembers it that they have it when btc had an ath in the last  2 year.
197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please be careful with traders who.... on: April 30, 2019, 12:05:11 PM
"Please be careful with traders who run private groups, do phone consultations, and sell courses.

Most successful traders are too busy trading, they don't have time to teach.

It would be a distraction."

Saw this tweet just now.

Worth to share to those trading newbies who wants to rely on paid advisors.

Will not go deeper. Hope you got the picture.

(P.S. Credits goes to @BTC_M****. Decided not share the source link as I don't want to promote his Twitter account as owner's other tweets might influence newbies perspectives. But it's quiet easy to search.)

This reminds of people who claim theirselves as guru and  says that they sell millions with their business online and will offer you exclusive groups and masterclass for a ridiculous amount of cash. So don't be deceived guys because it's like you are getting hit with two bad luck when you take their offers which is you lose first when you paid them then you lose another time when you follow them.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: April 30, 2019, 02:21:48 AM
If 9 years and still counting not enough to make you guys believe and hopeful in bitcoin the something is wrong with you. Bitcoin should have been perished a long time ago on those times where it struggled and fall but it still go up when doubtful minds assume the techs is dead. And that is the reason I hang into btc because the fundamentals is very strong and not just a simple product that anyone can create as that easy.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you like to see Bitcoin accepted? on: April 29, 2019, 01:12:59 AM
This is the first thing that comes to my mind ; Amazon, Facebook, Apple and Googleplay. These are the most popular websites where a lot of transacctions are happening digitally while Apple has a lot of purchase. If btc is just introduced as a payment on these sites then we already succeed taking over mass adoption.
200  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk in hodling and trading strategy on: February 27, 2019, 01:37:47 PM
Everything is very risky here in crypto. The reward differrence of two is that trading will only give you a small percentage of profit but holding can give 100x - 1kx of return in the future and we are talking about 2-3 years of span. Holding not really go well for 5-10 years because it can be surpassed by a new brand that has a better marketing and latest system.
