Btcgarden IPO forced buyback
August 11, 2013 By bcoinnews Leave a Comment

Due to some unexpected legal risks we met last week, we have to, cancel this IPO and buyback/repurchase entire two million shares of BTCGARDEN we issued at btct.co.

We will buy back all shares with the whole price of 32064btc. I.e,we will pay for commissions to let all shareholders get back their Bitcoin with the price of 0.016btc/share.

I would like to say thank you & sorry to all of our investors/supporters/ potential investors in advance before I explain the whole affair. Thank you for all of your trust and support, sorry for the final decision we have made.

thanks guys. Sad

You guys are missing the point. I m not going to speculate on whether VBS has ulterior motives or not, as I don't care. It seems clear that he has some good technical knowledge and knows what questions to ask - that's good enough for me and I m glad he's around.
My The problem is LC not answering.
Delicate investors need to sit down and have a modern cocktail Cheesy

Check on the prices in 2-3 months.

I'll sip on a martini and enjoy the show. Most people here do make good points but its the one or two that just blows up and scream murder. Diversify you investments, yo.

They never promised you lots of money in the short term? You
convinced yourself that, and bought for that reason, no?

People are so quick to fuel the hype machine without thinking hard
about what they're hyping even is in the first place.

e: and isn't icedrill's manufacturer going to start shipping before
even sending out a test unit.. so they can rush to market. not
saying it's a 100% fail idea, but it drastically increases the risk
involved with the company in general, investing or otherwise.

Wooosh

This fear mongering is amazing.

Do you guys actually think the whole thing is a scam? What would be their angle? They got the money already, if they were to take it and run, they would have done so already.
And that is all I need to evaluate. I believe that they are working on getting this done, and I believe they eventually will. I don't believe that they are possibly that incompetent that they'll end the project with just giving up. And even if they end up with an underperforming chip, they're getting it at production cost, which means they are at the top of the food chain, right with AM.

Then you have projects like icedrill, where someone is buying hardware at retail cost from a producer, and pays out just about half of the profits to the shareholders, and people are actually jumping on it. It boggles my mind, really.

IPO was 9 days ago and I haven't made the truckload of bitcoin Labcoin promised me. This is clearly a scam with 3 million shares unaccounted for. At-least AMC won't increase their share or have millions of share unaccounted for. I know BFL will deliver my preorder, I'm on the waiting list. I think I'm pulling out for Icedrill it sounds legit.

I think he may be on to something guys. I didn't become a millionaire after the first week of labcoin IPO. This raises a lot of suspicion.  Where are my millions of dollars Swede? You have explaining to do.

Lol.

We'll find out soon enough if they're a scam or not. Some people have zero patience, apparently.

Either that or he's a genius and calls this a scam to drive prices down so he can buy more!

Maybe most curious. If Labcoin is a scam, and OP was 'blinded by greed' why isn't he just selling a TON of put options and making major bank? Out of the goodness of his heart no doubt.

when i came into the QA irc and saw this bullshit labcoin_dev. 50k i had left was dumped at less than half what i paid, fast as i could get my google token, and i was already making a loss. actually i'm more interested in the stories people will conjure up to deny things and post more that cant be explained away so easy

really hope it's not a scam. have everyone's identities been verified by anyone? Swede- have you skyped or had visual confirmations of the team?
i'm still assuming NOT going to have many issues but just out of curiosity

look what he wrote already

Update:

Sam has also informed me that accounts have Ben created for Founder/Developers to take a more active part in the conversation here on bitcointalk.org

The accounts are waiting to be white listed by the forum admins.

Sam,
Thank you for updating everyone. Let's chat today about what we can/should do as far as the 'Founder shares' and present a 'solution' Monday.

  • Update contract to not allow the 3M shares to be sold until a certain amount of time has pass.
  • Have Burnside lock those accounts until time mentioned in contract
195  Economy / Securities / Re: BTCGarden Overview & Speculation Thread on: August 03, 2013, 11:25:34 AM
where's the other 2M shares supposed to show up right after the first 2M sell out?

It won't show up for a while at-least. They said the 2M shares will show along with really big and important news so I'm assuming it will be after a few months.

Wish I could read Chinese then I can lurk over there. Google translate fails me so hard.

Even with translate, it's worth spending the time to read the baked cat to get a gist of what is going on. My impression was it's mainly positive, some frustration for Chinese users though as they are finding it difficult to use btct.

Bake cat to put grill cat to fry cat.
