181  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: December 20, 2023, 04:10:55 PM
Because there aren't many options for healthcare and life expectancy is declining globally, I find the idea objectionable. With the retirement age being raised to 64, some people who have worked and paid into the system for many years may not live long enough to get benefits. Thus, extending work hours shouldn't be required; instead, people should do it if they feel well enough to do so. Recreational pursuits, travel, time with the grandchildren are all intended to be part of retirement. They cannot appreciate life if they are broken down and in anguish.
I also think that it would be much better for someone who has turned 60. to have the option of whether to take retirement or choose to continue working for an additional few years as agreed. So that people who have the desire to retire at the age of 60 will not feel disappointed if there are options they can choose. and those wishing to remain employed will also not be disappointed as there are options for extensions of employment. and I heard there is a system like this in my country. what is referred to as young retirement or early retirement, namely retirement before entering retirement age. but they still have pension benefits. it's just not as big as when they retire at the retirement age limit.

In my opinion, it all depends on each person. because people's pleasures are different in nature, for example someone who is 60 years old and he does not have a family or only lives alone, in my opinion, a person like this will prefer to continue working because of his situation who does not have a family and the friends who are in his workplace are his family so maybe I he will continue to work even though he is 60 years old.
And there are those who choose to retire at the age of 60, because they have a family and realize that their old age must be spent with their family because their pleasure is in their family, and their family is the most valuable treasure in life.
So everything has its own portion.

There are many people in our country who, after their retirement, are still working because of the hardships of life here. Even if they don't want to retire from work, there is nothing they can do because there is a limit to the age at which they can work. There are others who, even though they don't want to work anymore, are still obliged despite their old age.

Because they are forced to do so because they don't want to be a burden on their children who are staying at home, that's why the parents who reach old age are lucky that their children take care of them.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: December 20, 2023, 03:52:23 PM
I have personally thought about this topic in the past. And to be honest, I am not sure on where I exactly stand.
I believe that indeed people who do manual labor should be appreciated and respected by their bosses and provide a good salary for them to develop their life as human beings, in a decent way.
On the other hand, those how go to college and learn a second language are more paid for the same bosses of those manual workers, and there comes the collision of ideas.

If the government and the private sector started to pay the same to all of the type of employees or increased the salary of those who do manual labor, then those who are white collar and educated workers would be discouraged to work, even students may feel discouraged to go to college and instead get right into do manual works, because they would get enough money, in their opinion.

Even though, I think Ai and the use of robots to replace much of the labor force is an idea which is gaining force with each year that passes, societies on the planet should get and enforce a set of rules so millions of people won't get unemployed at the same time and rates of crime start to rise out of control in developed countries.

Most people want to have a good job, an adequate salary, or pay an employee properly. The problem is that there are other employers who do not follow the correct procedure for paying wages to their employees.

There are also other employers who look down on employees. Which is not correct, but there are also other employers who know how to appreciate their employees. If that's discrimination, I think in every country there is something like that that really happens.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best piece of advice to anyone going into bitcoin on: December 20, 2023, 03:03:46 PM
Buy a little bit of bitcoin every week don't care if it's a $1, $5, $10, $100, figure out what you can afford every week and buy it, get rid of unnecessary expenses or whatever you can think of getting rid of and spend it on bitcoin
5 to 10 years if you buy some every week you will be a multi millionaire

It's clear that this is DACA's way; now if you do what you say with bitcoin, I don't see anything wrong; rather, it's a good way. And this method can be done with any cryptocurrency.

It's just that if you do it centralized, the 1$ to 5$ is not applicable to centralized exchanges because usually the minimum amount to trade in them is 10$ and up. But if it's done every week for 10 years, it's really good, for sure.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger seem compromised again on: December 20, 2023, 02:50:36 PM
Good news for all those that lost money in recent hack (I hope no one here was affected) as Ledger just announced via Twitter that they plan to reimburse all those that lost their money ($600k). Plan is to reiumburse everyone until end of February 2024. I guess they realized that their reputation is fucked so know they are trying to smoothen things up.

We are 100% focused on following up to last week’s security incident, making sure incidents like this are prevented in the future, and that the ecosystem remains safe.

We are aware of approximately $600k in assets impacted, stolen from users blind signing on EVM DApps.

Ledger will make sure victims affected will be made whole, and are committing to work with the DApp ecosystem to allow Clear Signing, and no longer allow Blind Signing with Ledger devices by June 2024.

Read more:

We affirm our CEO & Chairman @_pgauthier’s promise to make sure victims who had their assets stolen on Dec 14th, 2023 by the attacker together with angel drainer are made whole, including users who are not Ledger customers.

We commit, by any way possible, including gestures of goodwill, to make sure this is done by the end of February, 2024. We are already in contact with many impacted users and are actively working through the specifics with them.

That's good news if the ledger is going to do that for the users of the ledger who are affected by what has already been compromised. Actually, this incident that happened is quite alarming.

But since they have a reimbursement to make to those affected by that issue, for sure their users will be happy, and this is good news for them so that their trust will still remain in the ledger. That's how I see it, and that's a good step.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 20, 2023, 02:37:42 PM
Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50

Oh, if you do the transaction fee now, it's still a bit expensive and will be deducted from your balance on the $50 you want to withdraw. You might have less than $40 left.

Even if we use viabtc, some say it's hard to keep up because it seems like there are a lot of people waiting every hour that passes for the first 100 to submit a free submission. Just yesterday, the bitcoin fee was so high that it reached 40 dollars. It's shocking.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: How to gain money on: December 19, 2023, 04:30:13 PM
Without:
Charity, begging, illegal, stocks, trading.

There are so many ways for us to make a profit in this age, to be honest. especially with the technology we have now, just post what you want to sell on Facebook and you have a platform to sell. There's also TikTok and Instagram; those are just some of the tools that can be used.

This is if you are a strategic person, but if you are lazy and you want to make a quick profit, the illegal way to get income is probably your downfall, but prepare yourself for its consequences.
187  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 19, 2023, 04:20:29 PM

Sadyang ganyan talaga we do nothing for now.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 15, 2023, 09:17:59 AM
First of all, being an employee is not bad, so let's not downgrade employees too much. Do you think that if everyone in the world became an entrepreneur, would your business or company still have a way to make money? I mean, if you don't have manpower or employees, can you do it alone?

Yes, it is true that it is not enough to have only one source of income these days if you are not a rich person. But there are many opportunities that can be added besides being an employee. As long as we have time and can manage it properly. But I don't believe that when you only have one job, it is equivalent to suicidal. In this matter, you are wrong.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 15, 2023, 09:07:18 AM
I'm a 19-year-old boy living in South Korea and now btt, doge, shiba inu, etc.. have skyrocketed in just a few hours on our country exchange 'upbit'. A little fomo is coming. I can't believe it's gone up more than a months I've invested in bitcoin. I personally don't want to invest in other coins, as I think bitcoin is superior.
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin? And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?

You are not mistaken that bitcoin is indeed superior to altcoins or cryptocurrencies in this industry field. Also, it is not too late for people who are interested in investing in Bitcoin because it is already proven and tested in long-term holdings in the crypto space.

So start doing dca here too before it's too late for you. Don't be like others who think that when it's too expensive, you can think about buying bitcoin, which for me is too late to make that decision.
190  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW NFT GAME - MonMon Land on: December 15, 2023, 08:57:55 AM
Actually maraming bagong NFT games halos araw-araw.

Gusto kong subukan kaya dinownload ko yung app nila at nag register ako, for now di muna ako nag subscribe, observe ko muna tong -platfrom nila without subscription (Pearl).
Bale wala kang chance makawithdraw unless you subscribe.

191  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 14, 2023, 08:11:15 AM
Good day everyone!

192  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcointalk as a means of Job & Wealth Creation for Youths in Nigeria on: December 14, 2023, 08:01:14 AM
This forum platform offers many opportunities for all who discover it. One of the main things it gives to everyone is the knowledge that everyone can use in the future to actually earn money. Besides the opportunity that this platform can provide, it also teaches the community not only to think but also to discover the skills that they have.

Yes, there are campaigns or bounties that can provide income, but this is not the only thing that we can see here in the forum, even the practice of trading to get earnings. If we expand and explore this platform, we really have a lot to learn.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 14, 2023, 07:50:09 AM
     -   If they won gambling, that means he got lucky. I couldn't say that this is a winning trap; maybe it depends on the gambler who won and how he treats it. Because, in my experience, it was not a trap for me.

Why are you OP? Did you say it was a trap for you because you became addicted to gambling? It really depends on the individual gambler if you allow it to be a trap for you, right? I have been gambling for a long time, but I have never become addicted to it. So, the first time I won, gambling was not a trap for me.
Yes, sometimes it is a fact that when you create a new account or become a new user you will usually be given a win for the first time, what OP means is that it is not a trap if I usually say that it is like a machine reading the character of a player's behavior, but I don't mean to accuse all casinos of doing that and controlling the machine. them, indeed sometimes I often try to play at several casinos, it's always like that, if I continue playing it means I'm a greedy person and the machine knows how to beat me.

But for smart people, maybe when they get their first win, they immediately withdraw it and then leave, look for a new site that has a reputation so that it will be safe to play again using a new account there, but that's just my impression because everyone has different views, as you said. Also, the issue of addiction comes back to each individual and not to the intended trap. for me it is a choice that must be chosen when winning the first time, continue or stop.  Grin

I see your point, and it was also right were I agreed on what you just said. Actually, we gamblers have our own interpretation of how to manage a casino where we will gamble. There are only two types of gamblers. The responsible gambler and the greedy gambler.

Now, it is up to us to choose which of these two we want when we play gambling here in crypto gambling. So what you are saying is true and right, my friend. That's why we should not just be gamblers, but instead we should also have hidden intelligence as players in a casino.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on: December 13, 2023, 10:19:35 AM
What you said is correct; I have nothing against what you mentioned here as a reminder. The only problem for those who read what you did is that not everyone knows if that psychology has an application for them as traders here in the crypto space.

In addition to this, risk control is also unknown to most people in the crypto community of crypto trading. How aware are they of risk and execution? We know that they need to learn the world of crypto trading first before they understand what you said.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi i do Challenge to start from today with capital 3$ trading on: December 13, 2023, 10:11:29 AM
Hi, i do trading with capital 3$ spot trading no leverage.
Im using poloniex for this
I have experince over 10 years not actively traded all those years.
Going to be interesting
I want to see how i will do it in one week 2weeks and month and so after few months.
I Im in ADA now with 1$ of my capital 3$

I have STARTED now today - anyone knows how to get my poloniex PNL ? So i can show here my PNL

3 dollars in spot trading? Are you certain you can trade $3 in crypto assets on a cryptocurrency exchange like Poloniex? According to my knowledge, the minimum trade amount for you to purchase from exchanges is at least $10.

Because if you just sell $3, you will be unable to purchase crypto assets on an exchange site in crypto for that amount. Why is that possible on Poloniex, even if cryptocurrency can be purchased for $3?
196  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: December 13, 2023, 09:59:34 AM
There are many crypto casinos that have been in this forum for several years and their campaigns are still existing and even the other casino platforms here in the crypto space have stopped the campaign and their service continues for crypto gamblers. gambling business.

And some of the well-known crypto casinos here that are leading are Stakes, Cryptogames, Duelbits, Trustdice, Rollbit, Fortunejack, Livecasino, Bcgames, And others that can be found in this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shorter the time you spend the better on: December 13, 2023, 09:48:18 AM
Shorting your play time in gambling is the best strategy in gambling, apart from knowing how to manage your bankroll, don't spend too much time on a casino game, the longer the time you spent the more you lose, this is the truth that many gamblers won't accept at first until they realize it later.

For them it's about your addiction, and that's what brings in more money, and I am here to announce to you that time fixation is also a good way in gambling, spending 20 minutes in casino a day is better than someone who spend 1 hour.

1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.

Go back home or close your laptop once your time is up, and wait for the coming day, go back to your daily life and business, chase your goals using your business and invest more money on assets.

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.

If you have just entered gambling in a casino, and as soon as you start playing here, you immediately experience winning three times, I think that even if you have been gambling for a while, it is better to stop immediately if what you have won is already around 30 dollars at least and you just come back on other days.

Because if you continue, chances are high that you will lose what you won, but if your only intention is to have fun and you don't care if you lose gambling, that is your choice.
https://www.nst.com.my/news/crime-courts/2023/12/989089/malaysian-kidnapped-manila-ransom-paid-cryptocurrency-body-found

199  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: December 12, 2023, 11:13:56 AM
In USA 3000$ minimum Europe 300€-3500€ minimum wage i think UK there 4000$ minimum. Wage
But goverment need to regulate just
Rent prices , energy prices ,food prices.
So If you want to put food price up then you need to be approved by goverment only then you can go over price limit.
We need wages up but same time our regular costs need to be not go over limits.

So things we need goverment must keep prices check becouse the economy is playground and goverment duty is to be judge that everybody play fair game.

From what I know in Europe, it is expensive to spend and buy there, especially if you rent your home. But 3000$-3500$ seems too high; in fact, I don't know 100% of the lifestyle in that country.

Here in our country, the minimum wage every month is around $400, which is very far from the rate Op says there in the European country that we are talking about here. When in Europe, the salary seems to be high, but the expenses are also high in reality.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 12, 2023, 11:01:35 AM
Greeting to you all. I seek financial advice from you guys. My uncle who happens to be a contractor has been winning several contracts, but when the money comes all his plan becomes void simply because he I'll end up going to parties, drinking, womanizing and living a luxirious lifestyle. Although he is married and had kids but his youthful exhubirant has not yet left him even as his married and it's causing alot of problem in his family. When he has no money he thinks straight but when money comes he becomes unpredictable. He has really sufferd before he had this last chance he made over $5000 now he is seeking for financial advice, so I decided to bring up to this humble room to hear from you guys.

So what do you guys think he would do with such money to financially stabilize without going back to zero point?

I think it's very obvious what will be the advise for your uncle, stop going to parties and then don't live that luxurious lifestyle because he doesn't. He is a contractor, not a business man, so he just live by paycheck to paycheck from his clients. But what if the clients dried up? He doesn't have saving in bank for sure. So once he stop that partying, then the next thing is to go bank and save those money.

Now, if he wanted to make more money out of the money he got from being a contractor, then he needs to invest his money. So as a rule, invest what you can afford. And since you are in this community, maybe the best investment is Bitcoin. You can guide him how to be investor, for sure you should have known the how's on how to become a investor in bitcoin (wallets, safety and others).

That's right, it's like his uncle is also happy-go-lucky, is that the type who immediately goes to bars, restaurants, gigs, etc. when he has money? These things are like bad habits, in my opinion, especially if you are not a rich type of person.

There are other people who feel that they are social climbers, but they are trying hard when it comes to actual parties. So, in this case
we shouldn't be like this instead, we must know how manage our money properly.
