Current # of coins in existence? Cap or inflation rate? Generation rate. Didn't see it in the first few post..if it is in one of the 60 pages, please update the first post with the coin stats.
1'000'000'000 NXT in existence. This is cap. No inflation at all. Generation is from transaction fees only. Ok. so i still haven't really understood this. The mining reward is based on the total coins you hold? Or just the likeliness that you will mine something? Is it just based on how much you hold? So say if i hold 100,000 coins. My chances of mining a block at 100,000 / 1 000 000 000 = 0.1% per block? In the long run u will mine 1 block of 10000 (0.01%). Ok, thanks. What about block reward, how is that decided? |

Ok, can anyone help, i'm super confused. I've got it installed now (needed JDK not JRE!). I have it running locally, i have created an account with a secret phrase. So am i mining now? Do i need to do anything else? do i have to own coins to mine?
You need coins in your wallet, then 1440 blocks to pass before your client starts mining. eid Is there a certain minimum amount of coins i need to mine? Will having more coins mean a better chance at the lottery? |

Ok, so everyone that is a node on the NXT network is known to be running java with a port forwarded to their computer. With the massive amount of 0day java vulnerabilities out there this seems like an absolutely horrible idea. Also why does it need a web server if it is locally run software, why not have a gui?
None of this makes any sense at all. but maybe i am missing something important here.

I've been out of XPM mining for a while now, was thinking about starting again. Are people still using this to solo? is there anything better now?
Yes, i prefer to solo, not interested in pool unless the pool miner is substantially faster.
