181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'M GETTING REALLY ANGRY! WTF is happening with this BTC/BCH crap! on: November 12, 2017, 05:22:51 AM
Advice for a newb? Look at how Bitcoin Cash has always worked in the past. days of massive pumps and massive volume, huge price increases and everyone is so happy, the "NEW" "AMAZING" Bitcoin will sweep away the competition... Then the pumping stops. People run out of money. People start to sell off because they had been to lazy to bother colllecting their Bitcoin Cash and then there is a new all time low yet again. It's already done this at least twice from what I remember.

They don't run out of money, they just convert their BTC's.

Really, this doesn't look like a joke anymore, buying BCH now is about saving  your money, not making profit anymore.
We're lucky that BCH is not traded on all exchanges, this would have happened more quickly Sad
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but... on: November 12, 2017, 05:16:37 AM
Now the question is, at least to recover money (for idiots like me who bought back BCH at 7400usd), how to split BTC/BCH for maximum safety.
I hate to be part of the BTC's fall, but now it's not about making profits anymore, but getting money back.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but... on: November 12, 2017, 04:56:23 AM
What looked to me like money calling money, looks more like an orchestrated attack now.

To be safe, *while it's still time*, I got as many BCH's as I have BTC's. Whichever takes over (yeah, like a fork without free coins), at least I'll be safe.
Like, a paid insurance. Sad.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 12, 2017, 01:44:25 AM
While we could imagine the BCH taking over, I don't think that "big players" who want to keep the risks low, would end up getting interested in any other crypto than the BTC.
The BCH doesn't have a long history enough and hasn't proven to quickly be recovering from anything. It's currently behaving like many shitcoins have already done.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: November 12, 2017, 01:30:26 AM
I've always found "Buy low and sell high" to be one of the most infuriating axioms in trading (up there with "control your emotions"), and not because it's not true.  It's because it's vague.

Indeed, it's only smartasses looking at the chart afterwards who will say "you should have bought low".

There is no low. The BCH was high when it was 600. It was already crazy high compared to weeks ago. Of course smartasses are gonna tell you that "it was low".
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: November 12, 2017, 01:25:46 AM
-IMHO- what's the easiest to pay today online?

Bank transfer? Slow or pricey, cumbersome. VISA? pricey, cumbersome, risky.

PAYPAL. There, you have a middleman who makes things safe for you (for a fee of course), that can already be fed from your bank account or your VISA, can be easily updated to support any crypto.

This is why it doesn't matter (except for those who don't wanna declare their earnings) how long it takes for a transfer to be processed.
Would you really sell something through ebay to a guy paying in Bitcoins? You have zero safety, that's what Paypal is for.
If you hide your money, then yes transfer times & costs matter. But if you prefer your money to have your name on it, you want insurance & safety, you won't pay directly in BTC.

As for buying your daily bread, here too there are middlemen which you credit in larger chunks, who will allow you to pay little things instantly.
I think of these middlemen as hardware drivers, it doesn't really matter which source they feed from, and it can be anything.
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 11, 2017, 09:37:08 PM
I think the normal behavior would have been ALTs going back to BTC under 7000USD, as it happened. IMHO it's just random that the BCH went up so much & then money is calling people there, everyone thinking they should have bought when it was like 700, slowly starting to do it. It will be very profitable for some, and the last one to enter will lose money. The big question being when is it too late to buy BCH.

Pretty sure *no one* intends to keep BCH and everyone has a stop loss safety net. Whenever the BTC drops under 6500, you see BCH coming back to it.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I trade my BTC for BCH? on: November 11, 2017, 01:34:46 PM
I'm watching the BCH going up on Kraken, and I really don't understand those who dare. Kraken is broken as hell, it takes like 5min to manage to place an order, and it has no stop loss order anymore.
Some are still buying at 1000, when it dive to 500 or less, they will have NO CHANCE to place their sell orders.

Otherwise if I was on a good exchange, I would have given a try, coupled with stop loss orders.
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 11, 2017, 01:14:51 PM
The BCH looks unstoppable, when I look at volumes on kraken there's so much selling roofs, I don't get it, how is it still rising?

I'm afraid the BCH really became the B2X that would have disrupted the BTC.

I'm too scared to even buy BCH on Kraken. When it's gonna dump, Kraken won't answer and there's no chance to sell quickly enough.

When you feel scared and feel you MUST buy BCC, probably it means we should not
Listen to our natural greed and fear, and act AGAINST it.

I made a quick test on Kraken anyway. Buying 1 BCH from & to BTC. It took like 10 attempts & several minutes. When it's gonna dump there's no way this is bearable.
& there aren't many other platforms that support BCH for europeans.

Some of the investors are just shifting their BTC's into altcoin's

not altcoinS, I believe they're all back down now, except BCH. I find it so risky to swap to BCH right now, it's gonna implode at any time, and yet people are still doing it and well, it seems to work well enough for them.. for now.

Without the BCH case I believe the BTC would already be back, it would have been back above 6000eur
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't bargain your BTC too soon on: November 10, 2017, 07:44:08 PM
Yes I can buy with credit card, sure, but 5% is quite a lot, and buying limit is low
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 10, 2017, 07:35:34 PM
BTC will get back when BCH will dump. Can't tell right now if BCH already started dumping but it has certainly stopped rising
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 10, 2017, 07:11:31 PM
You bought near the top and that is always a bad idea, I’m not trying to bash you or anything but you do not seem to know a lot about trading

That guy didn't do wrong, he bought BTC when it just had dropped (from a short spike, but still) 500eur.

Meanwhile a lot of people started buying, at the top, an already overpriced BCH. And these won. Call it balls or luck, but that goes against your "buy low sell high".

I hope the BCH isn't gonna kill the BTC. It's already going down right now, maybe that will push the BTC back up. Surely it made some people very rich.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 10, 2017, 06:19:29 PM
Stop panic-selling your BTC's, at least wait for me on monday when my EUR will have arrived.

How are so many even selling, when most of them must have bought post-6000eur?
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Don't bargain your BTC too soon on: November 10, 2017, 06:09:10 PM
..just consider that some of us wanna buy at the current price, and have to wait slow bank transfers until monday.

That's the fourth time I'd miss an opportunity because of bank transfers going from a wednesday to the next monday Sad
197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 10, 2017, 12:17:06 PM
until the BCH starts falling, I'd say

quite ironic, it's not the B2X fork that caused this, it's the BCH fork Smiley
198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 10, 2017, 12:11:32 PM
damn.. here I'm not mad because I "lost" money.. but because this is friday.. meaning my bank transfer that hasn't arrived yet, will arrive on monday when the sale will already be over.

199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: November 10, 2017, 10:05:40 AM
Look at how the already too-high BCH just got 40% in a few hours, and keep telling people not to buy high...

I didn't have the balls to buy BCH either.. and I still won't.. maybe it will implode soon.. but maybe not & props to those who dared.

However, that a single call leads to 2 placements (exact same) was not encountered by us before.

You message wasn't precising that you hadn't placed erratic orders before.
Yeah if you really placed 1 order and it got there twice, that's new.

Perhaps it has happened before and we didn't notice it, assuming it was one of the erratic orders that passed. Hard to know, since it's rare for the first order placement to succeed.
