181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval: Fueling Bullish Momentum? on: October 18, 2023, 02:22:03 PM
Cointelegraph's twitter account has over 2 million followers and that's why it had such a strong impact even though the news was deleted within 5 minutes. They apologized and I think nothing will happen to them even though everyone knows they are manipulating the market perfectly. But this shows the positive impact of the ETF on bitcoin. Even though it's just fake news, sooner or later it will happen so we just need to hold bitcoin and wait.
Whether they have an intention to create a fake news or not, but actually such news should have no impact to market, so I don't agree if you said they want to manipulate the market. It just an approval for Bitcoin ETF, there's no relation with Bitcoin where everyone can buy it through CEX, DEX or P2P.

Why someone need to buy BTC during SEC approving Bitcoin ETF? or anything that related to accepting and BTC when you can buy it now?

Many people are underestimating the impact of ETFs on bitcoin, but if you look back at the history of gold, you will see how gold skyrocketed after the gold ETF was approved. I also believe that the impact of an ETF on bitcoin will be huge and very significant on bitcoin price.

If it doesn't have any impact on the market then why is the entire market bullish and paying attention to ETF related news? You can also see that just 1 fake news release in less than 1 hour can make the bitcoin price increase a lot, but what do you think will happen if it is real news?

I think you need to look at this chart to see the real impact of ETFs being approved.

The impact of ETFs is undeniable. Even one fake news can increase the price of bitcoin. If it is true news, it will have a huge impact, you are right about this. But for some reason, many people still don't believe in this and think it is of no use. I have also seen some charts on gold after the gold ETFs were approved and I also believe that the hype on bitcoin will be many times stronger than that of gold. Because bitcoin is already hugely hyped and this is the reason why it is hyped even more.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: October 17, 2023, 11:28:47 PM
I cannot quit gambling even though I knew and could not profit from this game. And especially, I am not addicted to gambling. I always control my emotions so as not to lose much money.
I love the thrill of this game. It's fun to play them. Whenever I have money saved, I set aside a little to try my luck. When I don't have money, I won't care about gambling. It could be a psychological adventure game for me.
We need to always test our willingness to leave an activity behind, sometimes I just stop gambling for a month not because I do not want to gamble a little bit, but just to prove myself that I can remain that long without gambling, so far I have been able to do this, however if for some reason I found myself thinking constantly about gambling or being unable to avoid gambling for that long then I will know I have a problem, and then I can take the necessary measures to avoid the worst possible outcome which is to become addicted to gambling.

Actually, after all. We are addicted to gambling because we always enjoy playing it. But from a particular perspective, we can control our behavior. We can stop gambling for a long time. But we still want to gamble later, and no game can replace it.
It can be said that this is a mild addiction. For example, I like drinking wine but haven't consumed it in the past few months, and I still feel normal. Controlling this action may be due to surrounding causes. Perhaps the main reason is that our families help us maintain this controlling behavior.

Then you are okey.
If what you say is a clear representation of your state and your money management, then there is nothing you should change, if you like it as an entertainment source.
Do you keep a set balance when you get money (in terms of percentage of your income) so you can gamble regularly?

I am also curious if you keep track of your wina and losses through the year. Because I believe it is a malpractice which can only lead to loss chasing in the long term, and probably to addiction to gambling.

Yes, because I have a family and children, my top priority is still family life. I will not have a fixed balance to gamble regularly. And I also don't keep track of my wins and losses during the year. I don't care if I make a profit or a loss. Because even if I lose, the amount has been predetermined, I can still accept that loss. I know I have bad behavior, but I still have reasonable control over my behavior.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval: Fueling Bullish Momentum? on: October 16, 2023, 10:58:46 PM
It didn’t really pullback to consolidate, but rather the market went back to how it was before the apparent fake news originated in a CoinTelegraph Tweet (now deleted), stating that Blackrock’s bitcoin spot EFT had been approved:
(...)
I'm now curious what will happen to Coin Telegraph, I am not sure if this is illegal or not. Because it's kinda a form of market manipulation. Cointelegraph is one of the biggest news entities in the cryptocurrency market. And I believe they are the reason why we just pump immediately to $30,000 and full retracement after it was confirmed that it is fake news.

Cointelegraph's twitter account has over 2 million followers and that's why it had such a strong impact even though the news was deleted within 5 minutes. 185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More secure ways of storing bitcoin? on: October 16, 2023, 10:52:44 PM
None of us belong to any organization so you won't get an answer from them but as an individual investor, as I know and as everyone has mentioned, hardware wallets are lthe best storage method available to us today. Most people get hacked due to investor carelessness, I have not heard of any errors coming from wallets like Electrum or hardware wallets. So you need to pay more attention to how you store your seed phrases instead of looking for the best from what the organization is doing.

You're right, I've read all the answers and no one knows what methods institutions store their bitcoins with, it's all just guesswork. Some people say that large institutions store bitcoins on exchanges but ultimately they think that storing bitcoins on hardware wallets is safer. If we know using hardware wallets is safer, why don't large organizations know about it? Are they stupider than us? OP, use the most common methods, the problem is still you, not your wallet.

187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 15, 2023, 01:14:26 PM
The first El Clasico of the season isn't slated to take place in two weeks time from now which means that some members of the Barcelona squad are gonna be back from their injury before the all important game against Real Madrid that'll be played in the famous Barcelona stadium Camp Nou.
I expect Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez to device a means and dish out the best tactical approach that'll help his side get a good result against a Real Madrid side that's been on impressive form since the start of the season.

Their most recent match was in the United States, witnessing a display of destruction from coach Xavi and his team. Even though it was just a friendly match, the El Clasico match was exciting right from the first minutes. Barcelona crushed Real Madrid with a score of 3-0. When Real Madrid just lost their pillar Karim Benzema.
But now the victory is somewhat in favor of Real Madrid. Their lineup is almost complete. Jude Bellingham is the name that will help Real Madrid avenge the recent feud. Barcelona is showing its weakness without a pillar. We can see they have struggled against small teams. What will coach Xavi do in this situation?
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 15, 2023, 12:34:59 PM
It would be even better if they don't know we gamble, so there is no need to tell them about your gambling experience, whether you win or lose from gambling, so you can enjoy it yourself.

For people whose friends already know that you gamble, and see the character in your friends is very bad when you get a win in gambling, it should indeed be a step that needs to be taken is not to tell it to your friends, it can be told but you should know what your friends will do when you get a win, whether your friends ask or borrow or something else, when you have the intention to tell your friends it should already be a consideration for yourself sir.

This is usually bad behavior. Why should we hide the fact that we are winning this game, that I have a large amount of money? Let's spend a little and treat our friends. I think this is the most amazing thing. We should remember that when we lose gambling, we have no money to continue. At that time, almost everyone will intend to borrow and be willing to borrow from friends. Then they'll lend it to us.
Why avoid friends when we win?

The match between chelsea vs arsenal is very interesting.
Chelsea's current condition is on the rise after some of Potter's schemes were quite successful in the few matches they played but Arsenal is a high wall that must be difficult for Chelsea to pass now.
With the current conditions, this may not be the same as last season where Arsenal can easily beat  Chelsea with a striking score but  IMO in this match Arsenal are still strong and can get 3 points in this match.
As long as Arsenal can overcome the movement of Sterling on the wing then it will be easier for Arsenal.
Yes Chelsea have really done well in their recent games this season but it will be very difficult for them to win  arsenal. Arsenal is in a good firm and dangerous this season.  Arsenal meeting with Chelsea is an important game to arsenal that if winning it will lead them having more points and to be at the top of the game, so I don't think this will be a game arsenal would want to lose. It will be Interesting seeing Chelsea performing with their new quality but may not be possible for them to win.

Chelsea is in improved form before the big battle with Arsenal. Chelsea has won 3 consecutive matches, including an impressive victory over Brighton and 2 gentle victories against Fulham and Burnley. But the Chelsea squad still needs to be adjusted. Arsenal is unbeaten in the Premier League this season, with 6 wins and 2 draws after 8 rounds. They defeated defending champion Man City with a score of 1-0 at Emirates home field. Therefore, victory for Arsenal in this match is natural.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging Newbies from Bitcoin... on: October 12, 2023, 11:46:06 PM

I think I’ll reiterate this popular opinion: Bitcoin trading isn’t for newbies.
It’s always best to learn from someone’s mistakes so when  the majority of opinions from other members recommends gaining more knowledge and experience, the last thing you should feel is discouraged.
It is not that bitcoin trading is not for newbies, the thing is that newbies should not rush into trading because of how complex and complicated bitcoin trading can be for newbies. If newbies wants to go into trading it is better for them to take their time and learn to understand it and never to rush to trade with huge amount.  I think newbies starting with a small fraction of capital will be better because this will be an experience that will help them as they proceed in trading . The truth is that  as trading is concerned everyone needs experience,  so it is needful for newbies to learn learn first and not to rush starting with a big capital to trade,  small capital will be better that one can afford to lose.

I also admit that trading is not for newbies as it will cause them more losses than profits. But I think there is nothing wrong with what OP said, I think instead we should not say that they should stay away from trading. Why don't we tell them to start with the minimum amount to avoid big losses. Because no matter how long you have been in the market or how much knowledge you have, without trading experience you will always be new to trading. Only when we participate in trading and gain experience from it can we become a professional trader. Everyone has a beginning and no one can become a professional trader with a lot of knowledge but no practical experience.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 11:36:00 PM

I sometimes felt tired, to be honest. I sometimes lost my patience and sold myself emotionally. But not now; I have improved my knowledge and experience day by day. Now I invest only what I can afford to hold for longer. So I shouldn't sell at any point.
I'm surprised you state it. I guess a person at your level, will never feel tired.  Smiley
Agree. As long as we only invest in the amount that we afford to invest, we won't hurry to wait for the selling time. It will feel very long time if we use loan money or our main money. It is because we need to secure the money as quick as possible. We know it will bother our life if we fail.

There are many things that will put pressure on our investments and they don't just come from borrowed money. If you suddenly need a large amount of money and have no way to manage it, you will immediately think about your investment. And sometimes life's pressure will make us impatient and tired when things don't come at the right time. It can be said that pessimism, fatigue, pressure... sometimes it will happen to us in daily life but that does not mean it will defeat our original goal.
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 12, 2023, 11:16:30 AM
Napoli's start to the new season was not very optimistic. They are ranked 5th, 7 points behind top team AC Milan. This caused coach Rudi Garcia's chair to shake violently. After the departure of coach Luciano Spalletti, who helped Napoli win the Serie A championship, Garcia - who previously led Lyon and Al-Nassr, was given the opportunity to help the home team defend the title. However, he had a difficult start. If he does not improve the team's situation, he may be fired.
Antonio Conte is the number 1 name if Rudi Garcia is fired. Currently, he has yet to find a new job since leaving Tottenham in March. Coach Conte's talent was proven when he won the Serie A championship with Juventus and Inter Milan. Will Napoli's leadership fire Garcia?

The mistake at MU has shifted from midfielder Harry Maguire to goalkeeper Andre Onana this season. Up to now, Onana has yet to show her abilities. Onana's first two matches in the Champions League for MU were indeed disasters. He made a mistake to help Bayern Munich win 4-3. In the most recent match against Galatasaray, Onana put the ball into the opponent's feet, causing Casemiro to receive a red card. Coach Erik Ten Hag still believes that Onana will improve performance quickly.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 11, 2023, 05:27:35 PM

Casemiro is a defensive midfielder, not a playmaker. Just because Ten Hag is bad at using the tools at his disposal does not mean that the tools are bad, but rather that Ten Hag is a fool. In addition, the fouls he commits do not mean that he is to blame for them, for example recently when Onana made a bad pass and Casemiro had to make a foul to save the team from a goal, it was Onana's fault and not Casemiro.
Erik Ten Hag is among the problem of United, making poor decisions that affects the team's performance on the pitch, having issues with players and favoritism is gradually killing the fire in the Red Devils. Carlos Henrique Casimiro happen to be one of the important player for Manchester United and keyman for Erik Ten Hag. The Brazilian is known to be an aggressive defensive midfielder that have made few dangerous tackles that led to issuing him a straight yellow cards and red cards. There's more he would contributes to the team but in his absence, United defendlines seems to be more vulnerable and André Onana keeps conceding goals in every single game fixture.

Manchester United has been having a series of poor matches recently, but the management board still believes in Erik ten Hag, and they have yet to make any moves to replace ten Hag. He still has too many unresolved problems, and I hope Ten Hag will find a solution and get Sancho back on the field. In addition, Ten Hag needs to help Onana quickly regain confidence, balance, and inspiration to play football.
I don't rate Casemiro very highly, and he became sloppy in possession situations. He's been rusty on interceptions, needs better ball handling, and has declined defensively this season. Putting Casemiro on the bench and giving McTominay a chance is a possible solution for Man United in the coming period.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 11, 2023, 05:03:56 PM
I read in the news today that City still cannot convince Haaland to sign a new contract with an increased release amount and a longer term one. At the moment, his release clause is 173 million and if you look at other transfers, it doesn’t look too expensive or above the market. I have a suspicion that if Real doesn't get Mbappe on good terms, they will buy Haaland. An excellent opportunity for Real Madrid to have a strong position in negotiations with Mbappe.

That's right, Man City wants to remove the contract release clause or they will increase the contract release amount. Haaland, who signed a five-year contract with Manchester City in 2022, has been targeted by a number of Europe's top clubs since breaking the record for most goals last season. Not only does Real Madrid target him, but also Barcelona wants Haaland's services.
Haaland and Mbappé are the two top strikers in the world. If nothing happens, these two strikers will spend the next few years competing to be the best strikers in the world. If Real Madrid does not have the services of Mbappé, choosing Haaland will not disappoint them.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 10, 2023, 10:38:40 PM
Currently, there are two pieces of information that I am very interested in. 2 football legends will return to Europe. Messi can reunite with his old hometown after many years of separation. This will be decided after Inter Miami's ability to participate in the MLS play-offs is clear. The second news is that the French press confirmed that coach Zidane will return to top football in a completely new role, that of sports director of Marseille Club. The only condition for this deal to succeed is that the Arabs take over the team. In addition, Zidane also requested a budget of up to 300 million Euros to rebuild the team. It is worth looking forward to these two events happening.

Zidane was willing to make his return on marseille as long as the club would be acquired by saudi investors first. It has become the main requirement by zidane at this moment. If the current owner of marseille unwilling to sell the club to the saudi investors and zidane will never come there.

I have heard this news and i read his interview by the media. Zidane has made everything clear if he was willing to go there once his requirements will be fulfilled. It seems like that zidane was willing to build his own dream team.

Having saudi investors are one of most important requirement caused by the saudi investors will able to give him infinite amounts of money.

About messi and i have heard a rumor if MLS would be loaning him to the barcelona. I dunno whether this new is true but we must wait for the clarrification from barcelona.

Messi's name is appearing again right now and he had been linked to the barcelona again.

Let's wait and clarify, and I researched carefully. This is also a rumor. Zidane has yet to find a new job after leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. Despite receiving many attractive invitations, the French military leader still did not agree. Zidane's ambition is to aim for the position of head coach of the French national team, currently held by coach Didier Deschamps. If the information about him returning to Marseille Club is true. This is just a stepping stone for him to get closer to the position of coach of the French national team.
Regarding information about Messi, he still seems to be a question mark. Since leaving the Catalan giants in 2021, Messi has been rumored many times to return to Camp Nou as a perfect ending. However, He abandoned that hope and an offer from Saudi Arabia to move to MLS to sign with Inter Miami. And Speculation about Messi has once again increased unexpectedly.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to friend for financial improvement. on: October 10, 2023, 02:51:26 PM
I would suggest you to never give an advice to someone when it comes about investing real money. I am saying this because if the person gets profit, then he will praise you but by chance if the investment goes into losses, then he will be the one who will blame you for the loss. Yes what you can do is just tell him the benefits of bitcoins or the investment that you are suggesting. Now it’s up to your friend that whether to invest there or not after hearing about the benefits.

Maybe I have the same thoughts as you. To me, giving investment advice to others is a really bad idea, it's like we're asking for trouble. Because if their investment is not as expected and loses money, they will definitely come to us and blame us. One more thing, any investment has risks and even we have no guarantees for our investments, what can we do to ensure them? So, give suggestions and let them figure things out and make their own decisions instead of forcing or pushing them to invest out of skepticism.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: October 10, 2023, 02:41:47 PM
Nothing can harm you until you give them the privilege to do so. It's not necessary what has harmed us so much, but gambling is a super quick process and BTC investments took more than a decade for the earliest investors to unlock the true potential value (jackpot prize) of BTC. Gambling gives quick results and needs luck, whereas BTC investments need you to hold for a longer term for it to grow (or lose) its value. So comparison of both isn't possible.

The OP's comparison between gambling and bitcoin also makes me feel that the OP is underestimating bitcoin quite a bit. It is a potential asset, a technological breakthrough and is considered to bring innovation to the world's financial industry, while gambling is just a form of entertainment that can be addictive. Therefore, it would be lame and somewhat underestimating bitcoin to compare bitcoin with gambling. Bitcoin is on a much higher level than gambling.

Hodling vs trading

I prefer holding because it doesn't bring too much stress to me and I have more time to do my main job. DCA and holding, are both easy to do and yield better results, IMO. Meanwhile, trading requires a large amount of knowledge and you have to spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen every day to test and analyze the market. But in the end, all of that is not enough for you to make the right trading decisions, things can still go against your predictions and cause you losses. As we all know, trading is much more complicated, and it is not for the masses.
