181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 28, 2014, 10:03:52 AM

I'm still impressed with the volume on ixco.in which is about 54,000 IXC over the last 24hrs compared to about 22,000 IXC on Cryptsy, and 76,000 IXC on CEX.io.  For a new exchange with only one trading pair it has very good activity.  It's almost like there's been a secret society of iXcoin holders hiding out in Asia and their coming to life.

That's interesting indeed.   That's good volume.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 27, 2014, 11:35:31 AM
First, it was 30k, not 300k...

Second. Someone probably wanted to cash out BTCs from CEX due to yesterday's (and today's) problems and sold all IXCs he had artificially dropping the price.

Now you have the opportunity to get cheaper IXC on CEX. Price will go up to 17k-18k easy today. Cryptsy will push up the price of CEX again. Current prices on CEX are not real Wink

I agree with you that CEX prices aren't real.  I think it is more manipulation than anyone trying to get out.

Why would anyone post that he has 350k+ IXC for sale?   It's obvious that some folks want the price to be lower.

Speaking of which,  I would also like to see the price lower so I can accumulate more.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 27, 2014, 10:44:42 AM

Who's walking the price down now?

I thought once mining was over then the games would stop.

Not sure what's going on here.

CEX.IO was down yesterday, however when it opened gain I noticed a ton of IXC getting sold off.

After the carnage, there was a massive sell order of around 300k+ IXC at aroung 16500 satoshi.  I did not have a buy order to take advantage.

Then next thing you know, CEX.IO goes down and apparently it is still down (for the past 5 hours).

Here is the announcement from CEX.IO:  https://support.cex.io/hc/en-us/articles/204098173

Waiting for CEX.IO to open before I make any trades.

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 26, 2014, 11:31:12 AM

There are no more miners dumping coins now so I'm curious who is selling this low?

Are there people who wanna take profit off the table after a 400% run or what's going on?

Cause all the coins keep getting bought just to have thousands more being sold.

Or do we have some people here thinking they're gonna sell at 19,888 and then buy back more when it drops?

Usually that has been the case with IXC but this time we have real partners and real developments so I really don't think the price will drop and on the contrary, I think we'll keep making new highs.

Short term speculators.

Also, I think people are looking at the order book and can't see the buying.  It's all stealth buying right now.  People have their asks but it is either too low to even be filled.   Meanwhile, I look at the order book and also can't see anyone selling in bulk.

BTW,  would you like to sell me some IXC?
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 25, 2014, 07:16:09 PM

I can't believe how many worthless hype ShitCoins are in the top 25.

Some coins IXC has surpassed (these where promoted like crazy a couple months ago):

Primecoin - lots of articles all over the place.
Zetacoin - supposedly has a footprint in Africa.
Vericoin -
Monacoin - supposedly popular with the Japanese
Novacoin - Russian coin traded on BTC-E
Megacoin - Supposedly created by Mega (Kim dot com)
WorldCoin -
VertCoin - A different kind of PoW algo
AnonCoin - One of the first "dark" kind of coin
InfiniteCoin - One of the first coins with billions minted
MaxCoin - Promoted by Max Keiser
Devcoin - the other merged mine coin (266k market cap)
TerraCoin - Traded on BTC-E
Freicoin -
AuroraCoin (68K) supposedly iceland's cryptocurrency
I0coin - (60k) supposed out to destroy ixcoin
Securecoin -  I guess it didn't secure one's wealth
Bitbar - super rare... 25k
Mincoin - $10k yes....
Stablecoin - $6,180 -  not very stable in price

UNBELIEVABLE

You know, I was at a Cryptocurrency convention back in April.  Nobody every heard of IXCoin.

Even with stealth marketing,  this coin continues to impress.

Guaranteed to overtake the following:

Quark
Boolberry
Xcurrency
Uro
Bytecoin
Nubits
Feathercoin
BitcoinDark
BlackCoin
Monero

That would make it #14 in the list.

That's pretty good position.  Now consider this,  IXC is the 3rd oldest coin after Bitcoin and Namecoin.   So it really is hanging around long-term!

Yeah, what happened to all those other coins that were so popular a couple months ago?  All dead or dying.

This is a screenshot of the working Electrum-IXC we will release soon :

Anyone interested ?  Cool

Nice.  Definitely interested and we should probably talk about future collaborative development efforts.

188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 24, 2014, 02:06:00 AM

Could you move your stack to CEX.IO just to make sure that Cryptsy is not short IXC?

How can they go short?

It's harder for me to trust the security of an exchange in Eastern Europe. I know they're our partners and all but I can sue Cryptsy with ease while there is no road to resolution for an American getting hacked in Ukraine.

They can go short by selling you IXC that they don't have.

189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 24, 2014, 01:00:04 AM

I'm BACK!

[albeit not as hung as before].  haha!

1% plus enough to dump and go on vacation if/when we reach $1.  lol

What developments are you talking about?

The price didn't budge?  You moved it with your buying.

How many alts have their own full blown exchanges?  [In Hong Kong]

I can't think of even one.

It takes a lot of money to launch and run a major exchange with the proper hardware, speed, expertise and staff.

And now IXC has its own exchange!!!  This is a big deal, a MASSIVE development!!!

And not to mention these people are now iXCoin developers and if they can prove they're legitimate then also board members of IXC.

This is another major development.

So yeah, I'm shocked that I'm the only one buying today.  What's it gonna take for IXC to get just one article written about it?

I'm gonna spit in their faces if the time ever comes when they come to write something about IXC.

Well.... why don't you submit an article to one of the news outlets?
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 23, 2014, 08:22:50 PM

I hope you guys don't mind, I just bought up everything through 18,200 sat.  haha.

Had to sell a ton of my max for that 3 Bitcoins.

This is real [HUGE] development yet the price didn't budge.

Crazy!!!

Maybe Brock Pierce will join us soon.  He found today's developments very interesting.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 23, 2014, 07:23:43 PM
If tou read this carefully the 'mined coins' are accounting for about 4k in size so there should be a difference between empty blocks of iX mined vs. regular blocks with awards to miners

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/18101/can-blocks-remain-capped-to-1mb-forever

That is a very good point!   I stand corrected.  The pools have to distribute the mined coins, so as a consequence, for every block, thousands of transactions are created just to distribute the mining fees.   With IXC, there are no mining fees and therefore nothing to distribute even though there are a thousands of miners.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 23, 2014, 06:05:10 PM

Also, Bitcoin's biggest fear and problem is scalability.  With empty blocks ixCoin can do massively more transactions than Bitcoin.  Is there any way you guys can facilitate a transaction stress test to prove this?

You still never explained how an empty block is any help to a coin.  The size of Ixcoin's blocks are the same size before as after the reward ended. (at least if you are talking disk space size.)  What do you keep talking about?

From the technical perspective,  there's no difference with Bitcoin.

The only key difference is the *zero* inflation rate (actually it is deflationary since coins always get lost).

194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 23, 2014, 05:58:14 PM
Hello fellows,

We are a team of cryptocoin enthusiasts with experience in software development and business management. Today we are launching a new exchange, initially dedicated to Ixcoin and Bitcoin, with plans of adding more cryptocurrencies and possibly FIAT, in the future. You can reach the exchange at https://ixco.in, the platform is secure and we employed best industry practices, such as cold storage for IXC and BTC, and default SSL encryption.

Ixcoin is one of the first cryptocurrencies launched after Bitcoin. One of the peculiarities of Ixcoin was a block mining reward of 96 IXC, which would have shortened its maturation time and would have lead to Ixcoin supply ending much before Bitcoin. Ixcoin survived and today the mining reward reached 0, the coin continues to thrive and there's growing interest in it. Important companies in the cryptocurrency industry are already showing support to Ixcoin and we think the trend will continue.

On the business perspective, we are registered and located in Hong Kong as Ixcoin L.t.d. with regular business license. We raised enough funds to keep us running for a while, also we acquired a significant amount of Ixcoin during the last year.

We are also planning to contribute with releasing a version of Electrum wallet specially tailored for IXC, development is ongoing and we will make an announcement soon.

We aren't charging trading fees for the time being, the only site fees at the moment are charged on withdrawal. We invite everyone to try the platform and submit feedback through this forum or our email.

Thank you
Ixco.in Team

Congratulations for starting an iXcoin centric exchange.  I had planned to do so myself but it appears that you beat me to it!

I suggest that you cater your website to the Chinese market.   The non-Chinese markets are allready well served with CEX-IO in Europe and Cryptsy in the USA.

Looking forward to see your progress.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 22, 2014, 02:24:25 AM
Someone just dumped 100000 IXC on CEX.io  Huh

Unfortunately I didn't have a buy order to catch it at the bottom. :=(
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 20, 2014, 11:28:02 PM
PM me if you want to sell a boat load of IXC.

We can negotiate a price and I'll gladly acquire it from you (over at the CEX.IO exchange).

197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: October 20, 2014, 07:51:15 PM
BTW.... can we sue the AMT lawyers?

Here's an interesting lawsuit by Facebook against the lawyers of a fraudster.

http://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-sues-paul-ceglia-lawyers-2014-10

If we can find out that AMT lawyers were aware that AMT was committing fraud, then we may be able to sue them too!
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 20, 2014, 03:08:26 PM

Now 15,700 on CEX....and going...and going...

ZEBEDEE, where are you??  iXCoin ran out of blocks and is quickly dying!  hahaha!

[hope I didn't just celebrate prematurely]

Well it's held up better than expected.  Still early days though - this coin is dependent on the goodwill of one or two miners.  Should they do a cost-benefit analysis and realize they're getting zip for their "support", then let's see...

Dude... it is called 'recycling' wasted hash computation.  Yes, the miners do get zip.... but they would get zip anyway!  It is computation that they lost anyway.  They might as well 'donate' their losses to support IXcoin.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: October 19, 2014, 09:48:57 PM
Wanted to buy... IXC in big volume.... I want a cheap price, however I can buy in volume.

I'm curious, what kind of volume are you looking to buy?

Are we talking about 50K, 100K, 250K - IXC?

Cheers!

Send me PM, price and volume.  Volume in the multiple K range.
