How is this coin fairing now? I remember spending hours on release to mine absolutely nothing, has anything changed?
Difficulty stabilized after FreeTrade's fix, it doesn't swing up and down violently as before. You can use new Profitability Calculator to get an idea how long should it take for you to find a block. So check it out and see if you want to jump back to solo mining again.

I tried to redownload the blockchain and reindex for 3 times now but it gets stuck at block 1079 / 1099. Could someone help me?
It looks to me you're on the wrong fork. Make sure your client is updated.

using windows u get those hpm, using linux u get 0.9~ and 0.4~
Yes, also Linux Azure machines have the same hardware but they are 1.5 times cheaper, so you can mine longer for the same money. Still Windows mining is much easier for people who are new to mining. This is like GUIMiner vs cgminer

any news about the stability of the linux client ? can't add/create exchange to it with constant crashes/problems.
If you don't mine with it, it's stable. FaSan Yeap, and if you do mine see solution on www.MemoryCoin.info -> Linux miner crashes ?

Considering I mine at 0.4 kh I gave up on solo mining since its impossible. When will poor people will be able to get some coins? when are the pools coming??
How about I give you tons of VPS mining power? This should keep you going until pool is ready https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=887.0 I've used most of these trials and they work great! They will ask you for your credit card number and most of them will call the phone number you provided to verify that you are a real person, but this is so much mining power!!

HOW annoying all crash issue fixed just fking SYNC not? No sync 3days ago fking wallet, i delete many time roaming folder etc but nothing... CAN u fix it? ? Sorry man. Do you have any other client connected right now? Run getpeers and add those nodes to the client that doesn't sync. I've setup some nodes for people, but they don't keep that many connections for some reason Our new CNO will look into creating better nodes. Everybody who wants to upgrade, listen! Do not delete peers.dat so after upgrade you can reconnect quickly.

Seems like people are still having this issue of getting stuck. Here's my solution hope it works for you.
1) make sure you have latest build v0.8.54.0-unk-beta 2) if you're getting stuck per se, go to the the path where the appdata is contained. in my case it's C:\Users\abuchanan\AppData\Roaming\MemoryCoin so yours will most likely be C:\Users\[WINDOWS_USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\MemoryCoin 3) Go and delete everything in there except wallet.dat and peers.dat 4) start up the memorycoin.exe again and let it sync back up from day 0 to now. 5) should be fine after this, if not addnodes...add more nodes...oh an keep adding nodes wait a bit and you should be okay.
Yes, this is the right solution. Already on www.MemoryCoin.info, see "does't sync after update?" Everybody, please follow these instructions.

that's unnecessary. I've found that the problem is exacerbated by the number of threads being used; perhaps he's only using 2 or 4 cores and therefore hasn't hit a hard limit yet?
I ended up just writing a script to restart the daemon if (when) cpu drops below a certain threshold, indicating the process has crashed... hacky, but good enough for now.
radiumsoup, can you share that script? appriciate radiumsoup, please post a workaround script, you will help many people. I'll put a link on www.MemoryCoin.info Thank you!

Freetrade, how much warning will we get for the fork? Can i suggest we get 12 hrs so people don't sleep with their miners mining the wrong fork all night?
Usually forks start with block X, not with the release of the new client. So both old and the new clients can mine until that block. I didn't confirm this with with FreeTrade, but I think you can sleep well

MemoryCoin 2.0 just launched! Everybody needs a pool. This is amazing opportunity to be the first MemoryCoin 2.0 pool. Here is a message from MemoryCoin CEO: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1421.0There's a lot of interest in the MemoryCoin community for a pool miner. As the code is based on the latest ProtoShares code, infrastructure built for ProtoShares should be easily adaptable to run with MemoryCoin too. So I want to invite ProtoShares pool owners to consider starting pools for MemoryCoin. Any questions you need answered please post here or PM me.

watching.
as a protoshare holder looking forward to seeing this project succeed, might be able to help out on the marketing/communications side at some point but currently busy with mastercoin and finishing up my masters thesis.
Nice! If I get elected let's keep in touch. BTW, new content on MemoryCoin.info For now I'm just gathering links to the most important information/common topics about the coin. Hopefully later will reorganize.
