182  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN PRICE on: January 08, 2018, 10:52:00 PM
Dear friends.
Do you think Bitcoin price will go down under 10000$ in 2018 ?
Should I buy Bitcoin now or waiting more...
Need your opinions

I personally doubt this but could be possible. I am always open to any possibility but my hopes are always pointed upward. If it is buying you are concerned about then buy Bitcoin using a portion of your total budget. Use another portion to buy other cryptocurrency such as ETH, BCH, LTC, and other strong coins. Another portion should be kept as assurance. Meaning if the price today is 15k and you bought some, then next week the price drops to 13k, you'll have your assurance ready to buy more.

Bitcoin will be at least $40,000 Next Year

Novogratz Sees Bitcoin Reaching $40,000 Next Year

Possible since we are currently almost halfway there. This is if Bitcoin will be at a bull run for some time.
The price is not questionable since most expect that price this year, however, the question should be "when this year?" I doubt that we will reach that price as soon as 3 or 4 months. I suppose we will be there between late Q2 and early Q3 of 2018.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 predictions on: January 08, 2018, 10:40:38 PM
Crypto is at another rally. I heard that 2018 will be the GTFO year where BTC will hit 20-50k, maybe? Or some McAfee levels... Who knows. And then it crashes and will be low for quite some time. But what if the crypto will be just calmer. Go a little bit up, then down and stay on pretty much the same levels. What if there will be no bubble. Or what if the bubble already burst. Opinions?

Expecting Bitcoin to increase its price over and over isn't a good thing. Over expecting might break hopes for some people. 2017 was a crazy year for Bitcoin and we cannot expect that the same thing will happen this year. Yes, we all want that but this is not always the case. Bitcoin may be subjected to a bearish market at any time and 2018 might be that time. Bitcoin drops more often indicating that it is a bear market we are in.

I am not excluding the possibility of bull run since we are aware that Bitcoin is still gaining more and more popularity. We might go up but not as crazy as 2017. The important this is the "go up" part, right? Cheesy

188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: January 05, 2018, 08:12:53 PM
Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ?  Huh

If the price keeps decreasing, it won't be like Bitcoin at all. Many optimistic users and experts claims that Bitcoin will continue to surge [generally] and I believe the same thing. The current state of Bitcoin is just a mere laying low since Bitcoin undergone a crazy ride last year (2017). If we can see clearly, Bitcoin's price is still high and is just a few percentage away from the recent ATH. Patience. Bitcoin will have a bull run sooner or later this year.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC fluctuating SO MUCH? on: January 05, 2018, 07:36:01 PM
Huh It's a rollercoaster???

Bitcoin is volatile in nature and the excessive fluctuation in its price is not so surprising at all. This is the result of being decentralized and being driven by the community. The community decides what will be the price and is determined with the aid of the law of supply and demand. We may seem to be in a roller coaster but that is just things are.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If all government ban bitcoin usage and bitcoin trade on: January 05, 2018, 05:46:38 PM
Today, some countries have banned bitcoin for various reasons. they do that to prevent the bad impact of bitcoin to the country or their citizens. there are also many rumors or discourses that many governments in Asia become aware with bitcoin and try to suggest their citizens to don't invest their money in bitcoin. i think it is a sign that they don't prefer bitcoin. Maybe they feel that bitcoin will give bad affect to their economic state

No all countries are trying to against bitcoin nowadays, but how if all countries will ban bitcoin usage and bitcoin trade in the future?
how can bitcoin users do? will they do illegal action by keep using bitcoin or give other solutions?

If ever Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency gets banned worldwide and is treated as illegal then that's it, Bitcoin is illegal. Bitcoin users could file petitions to their government if applicable. People can exercise their rights about this matter. However, Bitcoin will stay illegal unless revoked by the government. Bitcoin users could still use Bitcoin but illegally.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: January 05, 2018, 05:04:10 PM
$20 fee for a $120 payment!
These fees make using bitcoin unpractical. When people stops using it, Bitcoin should start losing its value... Some believes bitcoin will gain value because it is considered as virtual gold and a kind of investment even if it loses its "Money" feature.

Is bitcoin going to get fixed and make itself an easy and cheap payment method again?

Bitcoin won't lose value when people stop using it, it'll lose value when people are not willing to buy Bitcoin anymore. To justify this, let's take a look at gold. Does anyone uses gold as payment? yes but in a very minimal scale (close to no). But does it lose value? No. This is because people are saying and believing that it has a value and people are still willing to buy gold. The same way for Bitcoin since it's value is driven by the community.

If this problem continue to arise, Bitcoin will just be treated as an asset and not as a currency.

Segwit and lightning network were supposed to cope with these issues. However, it seems that these were not enough.

193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins become worthless? on: January 04, 2018, 06:50:53 PM
Bitcoin is just like fiat, its value depends on its user. Fiat has a value because the government says so, Bitcoin also has a value because the community says so. Meaning when the community decides that Bitcoin is worthless then Bitcoin is worthless. Old version of fiat becomes worthless because the government says so so the citizens believes them then the old version will be neglected. This would be a suitable analogy for the topic. Bitcoin can become worthless and it will depend on its community. Bitcoin's value is driven by the community so the value lies in its community.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is ripple going to overtake bitcoin ? on: January 04, 2018, 06:42:56 PM
Those days ripple is doing really well, it has more than half of bitcoin market cap and has 19% market dominance.
I hate ripple as a cryptocurrency as it's centralized, now seems that ripple is the queen, not ethereum.

That really is making me upset but I want to hear your thoughts.

When ETH was on the #2 spot some are asking whether ETH will overtake Bitcoin. Now that XRP took the #2 spot, this topic shows up. The only basis for the ranking of every cryptocurrency is their market cap. However, the market cap is just a mere multiplication of the current price of that specific cryptocurrency and its supply. The market cap is just a number and will not justify anything. XRP is #2 and ETH is #3, if we make a poll what would you prefer? Perhaps many will choose ETH over XRP. The ranking does not define how good a coin or token is so we should not make any big deal out of this.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance on: January 03, 2018, 09:40:49 PM
Bitcoin dominance is below 40%

Other altcoins gain dominance.

What do you think? It will correct like last year? I think we're going to have a big correction next days in altcoins price and market cap caused by an increase in btc price. But It will only recover 10-15% of dominance, not all.

The decrease in Bitcoin's dominance is not so surprising (for me) at all. More and more cryptocurrency are being in existence every month so the people are having more and more options. Mathematically speaking, when the base number increases, the part of the whole decreases in percentage and that would be the possible reason why Bitcoin's dominance is decreasing. However, people are just using the alts to increase their Bitcoin so sooner or later, the dominance will eventually increase.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is dropping ? who can explain me ? on: January 03, 2018, 09:08:20 PM
Why Bitcoin is dropping ? who can explain me ?

and when stop ? any idea?

Is this the first time you saw Bitcoin dropped in value? Who said that Bitcoin will keep increasing? Bitcoin is volatile in nature and we will eventually see drops as soars. The price is driven by the community and is determined by the law of supply and demand. Dropping means many are selling their Bitcoins and increasing means many are buying Bitcoin. We cannot know exactly when the drop will stop unless we're already there.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin owner die. It means bitcoin also lost forever? on: January 03, 2018, 05:21:00 PM
I just got this question in my mind. What will happen if no one knows about the pasword of his/her acount will it posibly deduct to the main supply of bitcoin? Example bitcoin was 21million supply and one man got 1 million bitcoin he was holding and suddenly he died no one can open his wallet is it posible that the remaining 20 million bitcoin forever?

As we are all aware, a Bitcoin wallet is encrypted by a private key or password and they are needed in order to decrypt and access that specific wallet. So if there is a wallet that contains 1M of BTC and the only person who knows how to access that wallet died then we can consider that the coins inside that wallet lost forever. There is no other way to transfer that amount to the circulating supply but to decrypt that wallet. Someone could crack it using powerful computer/s but as long as it is locked, the coins are lost forever.

Theoretically, when a number of Bitcoin become lost, the total supply remains the same. So from your instance, when 1M BTC became lost, 21M BTC will still exist. However, only 20M will be in circulation forever, unless the remaining coins were recovered.

This is a very optimistic and a huge project. Well, huge might be an understatement. Anyhow I am curious about this project and it would be so nice of you to respond to some of my points below:

1. Why is it that the ICO will be running for 5 months? 5 months is a very long duration and some "investors" out there might be hindered due to the length of the ICO.
2. The minimum/ soft cap of the ICO is $300M, half of the hard cap, and it is a lot of money. Obviously, when the ICO failed to accumulate such amount then the project will fail also. Will you justify why do you need such amount?
3.
Quote
Who can participate: accredited investors from the USA, Europe, Russia, China. Minimum amount: 500 USD
Based from the quoted text from your whitepaper, you accept investors from USA and as far as I know, USA residents and citizens are not allowed to join or participate in an ICO. Correct me if I am wrong here. Another thing, is the ico exclusive for those who were mentioned above?
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction cost is too high on: December 26, 2017, 04:51:43 PM
What is happening?
will it change after adjustment since the transaction cost is being affected by the crazy price rise

The transaction fee has been always so high and is so impractical for transactions, especially for micro transactions. The activation of SegWit made the fee go down but it did not held up for so long. The tx fee is just difficult to control. We might end up with having more hardforks before we could arrive with the most probable solution. 2018 would be the best year to know what would be the solution.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is real? on: December 26, 2017, 04:46:57 PM
That is what i find now on Reddit https://redd.it/7m7y6r now  Huh Huh Huh

The claim is too simple which is so unreliable. Anyone can make a new account on reddit, on facebook, twitter, or even here in bitcointalk and would claim that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Many are craving for attention and would happily pretend someone else just to please his lust. I would suggest that you should get over this, nothing will happen after this.
