181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: February 17, 2018, 05:13:06 PM
Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

it's their right to ask for that however it's your right not to join. I personally wouldn't roll on as I don't want my personal info to be given away for such thing as bounty, I find it ridiculous
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Iungo really screwed bounty participants on: February 17, 2018, 05:11:12 PM
Iungo said they would give out 1.5% of tokens for bounty. Now they say on the bounty thread that they reduced the amount to about one tenth of a percent. They reduced it by at least 10 times! Claiming this was due to low number of participants. Payout should remain the same regardless of number of participants. Now bounty people are getting practically nothing.

that's not fair as it's obvious breach of rules if they didn't state there is some min limit of participants for the original % otherwise the % allocation is decreased. But if they're right, you should get good money anyway Smiley doing bounty is something that can't be relied on, it's a risky "job"
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins on: February 15, 2018, 04:58:44 PM
I would say tether but they're on sec radar nowadays. Be careful with so said stable coins, because hardly any company in crypto can guarantee that. They can either get into the troubles by doing so, or it could be scam.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple rise again? on: February 15, 2018, 04:53:25 PM
in terms of price, it surely can. It's an interesting idea and I read some articles recently saying it's going to be deployed to some financial companies, however it's hard to say whether we can trust such info. I think of them rather as competitors to the banks
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Korea back on track on: February 10, 2018, 12:32:22 PM
It's just that some media sources like to rumble words and make it look like something negative comes up, that's why whenever most people read bitcoin regulations they already think that it's the government trying to prevent any growth possible in a certain region/country.

There is no way to circumvent this, is there? Major news outlets will never stop using sensationalist titles for crypto related news, doesn't matter whether right or wrong. And since cryptocurrencies are so prone to be affected by news and social media, I feel like every time some major government wants to implement some new crypto regulation, we are going to experience these price drops every single time.

all markets are vulnerable to speculations. smaller market cap means more vulnerable imo

Good news, it seems crypto in Korea is getting back on track, as Bithub managed to implement new KYC. Seems like beginning of something huge to me Smiley

Another good news for the field of cryptocurrencies. A while ago, there is a thread about Russia allowing all the cryptocurrencies in their territory, and then now, Korea is on it. This is a great news for everyone most of all for investors and those who hold a large amount of bitcoin or other tokens. Price will hike soon once our world accept it one by one. That huge for you is what everyone is expecting this year and we hope that skyrocket will be bigger than the highest point of bitcoin.

eventually bitcoin will get there. Maybe not this year, bu it will happen.

This is a good news for the bitcoin, in the past one week, we have been spread news about South Korea banned the currency trading, people panic selling COINS, led to the slump in the bitcoin
Now the news can make people feel more confident about bitcoin, and they can hold it more firmly.

and that was just a fud Smiley

When the rumors of Korea's prohibition spread, I think there is still no certainty and luckily that was not true. I think Korea is also a potential crypto market, and it is good news for the Korean nation to accept the crypto, perhaps it will contribute to the rise of the crypto.

It's very good news, regulation in Korea will help crypto imo
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Must read for crypto newbies on: February 09, 2018, 04:28:46 PM
I often see new members of crypto community making the same mistakes I did when I entered this industry. Therefore I would like to share certain advices and resources to start with in order to prevent making same mistakes all over again. Crypto transactions are irreversible, therefore you need to be very careful where you send and store your funds. The best resources I found helpful to learn bitcoin basics are:

https://bitcoin.org/en/ and https://99bitcoins.com

Please don't buy or sell btc before you understand the basics on how blockchain works. Recommended trustworthy wallets and exchanges are for me Coinbase, ItBIT and Bitstamp. They have been around long enough to prove their capabilities.

Regarding wallets, you will make good if you use blockchain info or coinomi, those are 2 best ones for me.

If you have some further questions, I'm happy to answer in comments below.

197  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How monetize traffic? on: January 10, 2018, 12:10:44 PM
Hello, for example I'm offering a onlie service, for example coinmarketcap, this service receives each day a lot of traffic, how could I monetize and start profiting withou putting ads on the website? Some ideas?

Thanks!

If you don't want to add ads which is the classic method to monetize traffic, you must go for the "premium route". If you owned coinmarketcap for example, and you didn't want ads all over your website, you could offer members that subcribed to your site with a premium offer a way to own their own portfolio and track the stats, or maybe also give them to add a cryptocurrency on the list of coins automatically and any other benefit you could think off to give them a real incentive to pay.

or fremium model

Blockchain asking me $138 fee for $1k transaction to an external wallet, this is sickness. Is there any way to avoid this fee?

I think its time to quit Bitcoin and move to another good alt coin, Ethereum or Litecoin.

I also read today that China is going to stop Bitcoin mining operations because it consumes a lot of electricity.

Bitcoin's DOOMSDAY is near.

this is big issue. i use bitcoin cash now and waiting for bitcoin atom fork
