181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The investment on: April 20, 2018, 07:31:59 AM
Do not invest in coin you do not understand, or even see many people make a lot of money from it.
Calculate your investment in electronic money when your investment is not high, which will help you easily cut losses and exit the wrong trading.
Be consistent with your principles.
Be patient and think hard.

there are many more factors to consider, sometimes it's impossible to predict what happens and it's all down to one's luck. INvesting is very complex process, one needs to learn from experience.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My BIGGEST cryptocurrency mistake on: April 20, 2018, 07:30:51 AM
December 2017 during the high of highs, I made a huge mistake, I allowed greed and fomo, ignored my gut and bought into NXT because I was chasing Ignis airdrop. The coin has since tanked and I still have not received the airdrop. Nxt is probably 80/90 down.

What is your biggest cryptocurrency mistake???

biggest mistakes would be down to emotional decisions when the bitcoin market was falling and I bought into it and sold my whole stash. The price has immediately recovered almost back to where it was
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do i have good coins or need to get others? it makes me feel insecure on: April 20, 2018, 07:29:39 AM
Hi All,

I have the following coins but i'm always insecure thinking that i have the wrong coins or need to expand my portfolio further because my coin choice is poor . I am long term Holder, so let me know what you think of my portfolio:

Big bags

XVG
ETN
COLX
DV7
DIME

Medium bags

UTK
SIACOIN
REBL
XTRABYTES
AERIUM
XRP
IOT
XEM
XCPO

Small bags

BTC
ETH
NEO
WAVES

(small bags is what i could afford)

and over 40 free coins from airdrops.

Thanks

it's funny but there are so many coins out there that I simply never heard of 1/3 of your portfolio Smiley However it seems you have biggest bags of lesser known currencies, which can be pretty risky.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 69 ETH, What to do? on: April 17, 2018, 07:52:38 AM
I have 56 ETH, How much is my Profit in DEC 2018? I Expect 200K $, Give me your Best Guess.

UPDATE: NOW I HAVE 69 ETH.

right investment, eth will be big in my opinion. I'm still thinking it could outgrow bitcoin and become number 1 crypto per market cap. There are so many use cases for smart contract platforms, it's really the best use case for crypto so far I believe.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU CAN DO IT on: April 17, 2018, 07:51:32 AM
The phrase "Can do it" is an attitude for every bounty hunter. A positive thinking attitude.
- I have seen many bounty hunters get discouraged as a result of not being paid after participating in some bounties.
Even if you feel the payment is not forthcoming, you CAN DO IT, because there are still good bounty campaigns.
- There are some who get discouraged because the rank they are might be low.
Rome was not built in a day, you CAN DO IT. With patience, you can still take ride to the top.
No matter what you might be facing at this time, no matter how tough the work might be, no matter how little the reward seems to be, do not relent, do not go weary "YOU CAN DO IT."

yes, some bounty campaigns are scam and some of them simply decide not to pay you without any proper reason. No reason to get discouraged though, let's be honest with ourselves, it's not much work to do some bounty gigs, so just give it a try and see if it works out...
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Out of the following alts, which one do you believe in the most? on: April 16, 2018, 11:33:23 AM
I can not tell which one I like most, but I can tell which one I like the least. That is ripple. It's too centralized for this industry, just not what crypto is supposed to offer....
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: April 16, 2018, 11:32:29 AM
What is the future of Litecoin? How long it may stay? is there any chance to be vanish it?

I don't think it will vanish. It seems just copy the grow of bitcoin. If bitcoin price will be growing, litecoin should be also reaching its new heights. I don't believe litecoin would disappear
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: April 16, 2018, 08:21:07 AM
That is so crazy to see the graph of Bitcoin Atom going so down, I was so excited at first in January, but now 1500× lower price is just sad, I thought that Bitcoin Atom would be the future, yay...

Still ahead, the development team is working on atomic swaps, so we are waiting for the events that will come to a new stage of development of the cryptocurrency. With the release of atomic swaps, exchanges will appear on which there will be no manipulation as now and all this will be with the help of bitcoin atom
when release auto swap? 2020? or never

I believe ETA is this month. Swaps are already working in code, so in case you want you can perform them through command line. If not, then just give them few more days and see...
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: April 16, 2018, 07:36:03 AM
it happens with all forks except for BCH it seems, that the initial prices were crazy high and then the necessary dip has occured. Time will tell which forks will gain value and which will just disappear.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a fake coin? on: April 16, 2018, 07:34:52 AM
I just saw this somewhere on the internet. Are there any fake coins existing? How do you avoid buying fake coins?

research, research, research. There are too many scam ICOs, I believe over 80% of all of the projects. Therefore you need to be very careful when choosing the project, team is the key...
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ever makes u more money in less time on: April 16, 2018, 07:34:07 AM
Day and Swing Trading: Which is better, Stocks or Crypto?

I have no experience with stocks trading, so I can't really tell. But what I do is that I track the new projects and invest in those, it can turn out to be really attractive investment....
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH price increase to 1k3$ again ? on: April 16, 2018, 07:32:14 AM
about 3 months, there has been a lot of fluctuation causing the price of ETH to drop dramatically. At this time Should hold ETH ? Can ETH price increase again 1k3$ again in late 2018 ? Huh

yes but it seems the recovery has already started. We all can help ethereum to get back on track by building really useful services around ethereum that can help it solve some of its major issues
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: April 15, 2018, 05:11:40 PM
In my opinion I think all ICO's should limit the number of bounty participants but on the other side in one particular ICO its good for them to have many bounty participants to advertise their project and be more successful.Bounty campaigns is very much known nowadays which results to have many participants.

we will get to the stage where the companies will be choosing amongst bounty participants, because right now basically anyone can join, even those speaking almost no English...
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: April 13, 2018, 04:30:12 PM
Nice to hear it. Do you know anything about Yobit and their wallet? Thanks

we keep asking them to open BCA wallets, they promised to fix it. Let's hope it happens asap.

Please try to urge them as much as possible. The only fork for which they opened wallets so far is lcc, so hopefully they can do the same for our community
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is unique about Bitcoin payments is its speed? on: April 10, 2018, 09:48:14 AM
A payment can be confirmed in ten to sixty minutes wherever the recipient is. Making bank transfer will take more time. If the payment goes to another bank, perhaps in foreign countries, the transfer can take two to three days. Also, Bitcoin allows you to make payments for a fee. The higher the fee, the faster the transfer will be confirmed.

bitcoin is not so fast as it used to be due to scalability issues. That is supposed to be sorted either by lightning network or some other solution that is yet to come. Let's see how it goes
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie in crypto on: April 10, 2018, 09:46:52 AM
Being new in crypto, it good to ask guidance from people who are willing to guide us on how to develop and to have more knowlegde about crypto..

learn about the industry as much as you can. It's very hard to use the wrong service or to lose your funds to hackers. Start with bitcoin wiki where you can crypto 101
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcore (BTX) airdrop on: April 10, 2018, 09:45:39 AM
Any update about BTX (Bitcore Airdrop), if t is lasting April 30th or will continue airdrop after April 2018 ??

is there any? I believe it's a bitcoin fork that is granting the users that hold bitcoin with BTX. I don't see the reason for another airdrop. Usually if you had btc at the particular block of snapshot, there is no deadline you claim your forked coins.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500 million Coincheck hack: Full story + Unique pictures of darknet on: April 10, 2018, 09:44:24 AM
Hey, I've just posted this on DeepDotWeb. https://www.deepdotweb.com/2018/04/09/coincheck-hackers-have-laundered-all-of-their-nem/

Wondering what you guys think? The picture of the hacker replying to a support ticket was quite surprising to me.
Sad that they have got away with it as well.

How do you think these hacks should be avoided?
Do we need more government regulation of exchanges or should we avoid this at all costs?

Thanks for your opinions.

hack will be avoided by better decentralization of the trading and exchanges, such as atomic swaps technology for example. You can take a look at bitcoin atom, they're launching atomic swaps through their nodes this month.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No, India has NOT banned cryptocurrencies on: April 09, 2018, 01:37:46 PM
"Reserve Bank of India issued a press release on Thursday that had a directive for withdrawing support to virtual currency businesses. The news sent a frenzy across the Indian cryptocurrency community and everyone could only talk about how India’s central bank has ‘banned’ cryptocurrencies. A massive wave of FUD followed in the market driving down the prices of cryptocurrencies in India significantly. But, did RBI just in fact ban cryptocurrencies?

RBI is a banking regulatory body and controls the monetary policies of India, but it is not a legislative body. It can set directive regulations for the bodies that come under its defined authority, but cannot control or penalize other businesses or individuals.

A law to ban the use or trade of cryptocurrencies in India has to come from either the elected governments (whether central or state) or the judiciary (Supreme Court of India or the State High Courts)."

I thought this was good news because of the recent FUD, despite everything.

Thoughts?

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/04/06/no-india-not-just-banned-virtual-currencies

usually these negative news are being followed by good news about the regulation. Govs are making announcements so they can make a regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrencies...
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quit your job to promote bounty campaigns fulltime: unrealistic???? on: April 09, 2018, 01:36:30 PM
Last night I had a discussion with a friend if it's possible to quit your job and make a fulltime living of promoting bounty campaigns.
My friend thought you need to promote a lot of bounties at the same time (100 per week), to compensate for the
uncertain number of bounties that will never to lead to any income (coin cannot get listed, withdrawal fees of exchange is too high, scam, etc.).

So the question is: do you agree with this statement?

well, you need to be lucky. Because many bounties are fake. I wouldn't quit the job just to do bounty, but it can be good source of additional income, especially if you're not making too much money in your current job.
