181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 16, 2022, 01:28:49 PM
It looks like Elon Musk is going to proceed with the $44B deal to buy Twitter as he has originally planned. The recent news of Elon Musk changing its mind again had a short pump in DOGE's price. If the deal goes through, that would mean Elon Musk will become the new owner of one of the world's most popular social media platforms. Knowing that the billionaire is a huge fan of Dogecoin, it's possible he will integrate the cryptocurrency into the platform for micropayments (micro-tipping).

I'm wondering what effect will this have into DOGE's price if successfully implemented? Will DOGE be able to finally get past $1 per coin? Or will it never happen? Also, I fail to see how DOGE would be used massively on Twitter when the cryptocurrency doesn't have enough transaction capacity to serve millions of users around the world. There's no LN or on-chain scaling solution yet, so developers are going to have to work on something if they want DOGE to be widely adopted worldwide. What are your thoughts? Huh
all is possible , the effect of elon on doge is huge in this past year , the price of doge will probably reach 1$ if elon make it a legal payment on twitter .

but I can't understand why doge has to be Elon's choice for this, why not just btc or eth maybe bnb
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Token Swap? on: October 16, 2022, 01:17:48 PM
I have been learning from so many cases about that, it seems like this time the developers were always picking the token swap as an answer to avoid the airdrop participants. They were also using this for not to paid the participants.
So what the project owners do at times is not a fair token swap. They do all that just to render aordropers' tokens worthless. Sure, I learned my lessons too, but I'm not going to do any airdrop of any sort.

Airdrops are now very few who value participants, but if you have the spare time to do so it's okay to try and keep your luck, because sometimes there are still some airdrops that give you the value you deserve.

That's right, airdrops are different from bounties that can be done for how many weeks, if the airdrop is only one job waiting for results, if we get a good one we can JP but otherwise if it's a scam project we don't get anything
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty programs or airdrops more profitable to participate in? on: October 15, 2022, 03:14:03 PM
follow both, we never know which one we follow will make money, I know there are some people who participate in dozens of projects but haven't got any money but there are also those who only follow one project and get money right away, we don't know someone's luck.

you are right, by following both , we do not know the future of the coins we will get either one day it can reach hundreds of $ or just as decoration in our wallets
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: October 14, 2022, 02:33:12 PM

The typical human mind initially considers the fictitious drawbacks and rejects the possibility of another type of money. However, a growing number of individuals are visiting exchanges like Binance, Primexbt, Kraken, etc. People are afraid because they were taught to be afraid as child. This is, unfortunately, what the educational system does.

I am also a victim. Wish I had joined this forum earlier.

the reason people are afraid to invest in bitcoin is because they are afraid of losing, and because the value of bitcoin is unstable
not because of education, even when I was in school, the educators taught me to invest from an early age so that in old age I don't think about work anymore for a bite of rice, where old age is the time to reap the rewards of our investment
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 14, 2022, 02:24:14 PM
people can think anything about bitcoin, predict any price, but all need patience to achieve it all, my advice is to avoid the media for now because there is too much negative news for bitcoin,
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest Heavily ALT now on: October 12, 2022, 01:53:33 PM

I self going to invest in Alts after 2024.

if you calculate the 4 year cycle 2024 is the start of a bull run if you buy after 2024 it means you go through a period where everyone is reaping the rewards
for the price of alt now it's quite cheap, don't alt BTC is already very cheap from 2021 yesterday
but that's your decision, we can't force you to invest quickly, let's look for profits together in their respective ways
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the best time to buy Old Coin? on: October 12, 2022, 01:43:26 PM
I don't understand what old coins you mean.  But some of the things found in older coins are development and community and blockchain technology is right.  They are playing a leading role in maintaining the market in a very good way

there are a lot of old coins here, it's just that the OP didn't mention what coins he would invest in, btc, eth, bnb, sol and LTC maybe the old coins that the OP meant
OP prove your research right on your friends for the next bull run set your strategy and enjoy your profits,
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have all the 'Bull Runs' just been billionaires pumpin and dumpin? on: October 12, 2022, 01:27:16 PM
Shall we just wait till the next billionaire wants to come along at the 'next cycle' and pump and dump?
If you want to invest in Bitcoin or something, do your own research. Don't rely on billionaires, celebs to decide investing or not. You invest with your capital, not one from them so you are the person who must take care of your capital.
.........

agree with this, before investing we must research what we are going to invest, and don't have to depend on other people. For me, Elon is not the trigger for the ups and downs of btc, but I'm sure that the big whale who played a role in this, Elon just added to the hype and left bad news so it seems that he is the one who made the price of btc go up in 2021 yesterday
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - Take profit or hold? on: October 12, 2022, 01:05:11 PM
what is your plan?

you are lucky people who have benefited from luna, i dont have plan after that incident i forgot luna was in my wallet, and i stayed away from him, too painful to remember,
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 12, 2022, 12:59:33 PM
It's true that not all new projects are bad, but it's hard to know which ones are good and which are bad.
The risk in investing is borne by each individual, so before investing, we should research everything about the project that we will invest in
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take bitcoin as the virtual currency, that perform better than physical currency on: October 11, 2022, 02:03:54 PM
technological advances and people are starting to adapt to bitcoin, and the value of bitcoin is getting better day by day, so there is nothing wrong if I declare btc as my virtual money and my investment, and I can exchange it anytime when I need it without having to wait
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: October 11, 2022, 01:27:30 PM
I just wonder: are Early Adopters rich?
We know AA, author of "Mastering Bitcoin" was once attacked because he did not made any fortune having BTC from early years, then people donated some BTC and he collected around 100BTC.
Hal F's wife sued "I am Satoshi guy" and they were talking about $ 3-digit mln, so they are not kind of people who wait every month for their wage.
What about others? Bitcoin Core developers? Forum admins or well-known old users? Are they crazy rich living in their own castles or did they lost their coins, sold for $10 because of mortgage loan or student's debt and today they must work 7-15 every day?

I don't think that early adaptors are rich. Usually, the early adopters of bitcoin may already have sold their bitcoins at cheap prices and no one in 2013-2014 era could think that bitcoin could reach 60,000$ or beyond. They may have sold at only a few dollars profit and no one had a long term vision. And we are not to blame anyone as bitcoin in early times are only considered as a game money and nothing esle.

different from now people have understood the advantages of btc for last year and more and more newcomers are here who want to own btc and dream of earning profits like early adopters but they don't realize how difficult it is for them to reach 60k$ from the start they hold btc
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago this man was accused to be Satoshi on: October 11, 2022, 01:21:12 PM

Never really saw a thread about him being Satoshi despite me being in crypto for more than 5 years.

He doesn't look like a tech guy who can code but a member of a rock band. But he advocates privacy of course he will decline just as the real Satoshi would. There is nothing worth keeping for someone who has everything but privacy. You wouldn't want to live like the actors and actresses who keep hiding from the public and can't even go to a park to walk their dogs.

That's what I thought when I saw his face, too, lol!
Anyhow, a lot of random guys have already claimed that he is Satoshi, but nobody has been able to show proof of this as of yet. I believe we should keep Satoshi's identity a secret since he did an excellent job of creating Bitcoin, and I'm sure he is happy, from wherever he is, that Bitcoin has come a long way to achieve its current status.

haha me too, when i first saw the photo i thought instead he was just a rock singer who finished a gig, far for Satoshi to say,
and in my mind a Satoshi is a person who comes from Japan with a cute face,
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto withdrwals in USA on: October 11, 2022, 01:14:48 PM
What about using a P2P system on Binance?
I am not sure if Binance and Binance US have the same feature. If Binance US has a P2P Trading system, You will see a lot of buy orders placed by buyers, You can go there and sell your cryptocurrency to them, and the Buyer will deposit the money into your bank account. Before releasing the funds, Make sure you have received the funds in your bank account. Do it part by part. But, If Binance US Doesn't have P2P System. You just wasted your time successfully by reading this post Roll Eyes
Peer to peer trading can not solve this issue. Issue is when you deposit the money to your bank account, they will detect it and bank has relation as well as responsibility with IRS.

The issue comes with your deposit to your bank account, not how you do this? I believe Binance or Binance US can not solve this case and other exchanges too. Bank controls the game here.

[Tutorial] Crypto taxes for beginners. OP can read that topic and see how helpful it is for OP case.

the bank is not that bad, I think, to the point of leaking funds into the tax department, because banks also protect the privacy of their customers, for tax matters usually individuals are honest or not with their income, which must be reported to the tax office (but many people avoid taxes)
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: October 10, 2022, 02:37:25 PM
Education is not the only key to success anymore, then we all be believe that, if we don't go to school, we can't make it, the country is something else, we should find all means to be a successful person in life, education is good, but we have to find all means to make it, country which a graduate is riding bike, someone that spend thousands of naira to go to the school, is now riding bike, imagine,

So is always good to invest in once self, than working under someone, which you won't have time for yourself,

Just an advise

everyone is required to have a basic education, in order to know the basics of what we should know, how you can read without having to learn A-Z, counting from 1-100 even more 0 and you understand money, everything does not come automatically in your brain.
education does not have to be at school, now it can be done online, and bring in teachers at home,
A good self-investment is having sufficient knowledge and a good education, so that you can give a good personality
196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: October 10, 2022, 02:28:01 PM
Most people go to school believing that they will get a job after schooling. In most developing country, the rate of unemployment keep increasing every year as graduate are produced every year to the labor market with a decline in rate of job opportunity. Using Nigeria as a case study, over 600,000 graduates are produced every year to the labour market with no job opportunity. This make the rate of unemployment increase every year.

Due to this, most youth believe education as failed them after graduated for years without a job. Alot of graduate are into transportation and other minor stuff that are irrelevant to thier course of study to sustain their living.

Quote
This is seen in a case where some students went back to their school to demand for a payback of all money spent during their schooling period after graduating for years without job.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/video-drama-as-lautech-graduate-visits-school-to-return-certificate-demand-refund-of-fees/amp/

My question is: Does education guarantee a job.

Answer: No

Being educated means you are trainable i.e you should be able to use your acquired knowledge to creat space for yourself in the labour market even if their isn't any job opportunity. Education will give you some skills that make you different from an illiterate.

CONCLUSION
School gives certificate but doesn't guarantee a job. Education never fails, it's gives knowledge and skills. This knowledge and skills acquired through it brings breakthrough on the long run. Therefore, graduate should think beyond getting a job after schooling but plan on how to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired through their education to create jobs for themselves and others.

Education does not guarantee you a job, but  education can provide you with the capital to create new jobs.
In developing countries, sometimes the government uses foreign workers to be employed, or foreign graduates, even though the results of education in their own country are also of sufficient quality like those who study outside their country.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: Currencies are Collapsing Everywhere. on: October 10, 2022, 02:13:39 PM
Economic downfall is we are seeing right now and because of Inflation countries are struggling hard to survive this year economic crisis. This is just the beginning of this suffering we are experiencing right now and all year long we can see more and this is where bitcoin will come in wherein it has a great solution towards inflation problems that the government manipulate with as they are doing right now printing unlimited cash to fight the inflations.

Inflation can continue if  Fed raises interest rates again, the world will be threatened with starvation, small countries collapse because they have to survive,
Here I hope the government can provide the best solution in addressing the impact of this inflation, maybe like ur say
198  Economy / Economics / Re: What is Inflation? A Crash-Explanation on: October 10, 2022, 02:07:23 PM

to keep us from being affected by inflation is to choose investments that have 'limits' or supply such as bitcoin while fiat which is circulated by many countries does not have it, the circulation that occurs to fiat is between excess or reduced since it was first circulated, it is difficult to monitor it.
i believe we all are now used to of crying and putting the blame of our laziness on inflation
People don't work hard - they make excuses - want to borrow money and never return them.
The world has gone crazy to seek money.

true because of money. lazy people do everything they can to get money instantly, even though if they try and are determined to do anything they can make money,
debt is not the right shortcut if we don't have money, moreover it's clear we can't return it, at least try not to continue to worsen your life
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: October 09, 2022, 03:10:16 PM
if it's urgent I will spend my crypto money to make ends meet, because my crypto money is my savings so when the market is down or bull run I will definitely do crypto to fiat exchange transactions for my needs
200  Economy / Economics / Re: At last, Twitter wins the battle!! on: October 09, 2022, 02:57:30 PM
Well, I know one thing....

Elon Musk loves Crypto currencies ....and he will most definitely encourage Crypto content on Twitter if he eventually buy it. We have seen a lot of these large social media platforms ..banning Crypto currency advertising, because it was either too expensive to filter the genuine content from the scams or the masters behind the scenes.. pushed their own agenda.  Angry

Let's hope his stand on Crypto currencies will stay the same ...and that he will allow "freedom" for legitimate Crypto currency projects to flourish on the Twitter platform.

I really hope he does not change this platform to a "subscription" service only.  Roll Eyes

If this platform is used as a subscription, I think this platform will only be accessed by certain people, not like now, as for if they implement a subscription system, there must be additional features such as other platforms that already apply the subscription feature.
