181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can disappear? on: August 09, 2016, 03:41:35 PM
it cant just be a scam after 7 years. only way bitcoin will disappear is if people stop using it. and thats not going to happen instantly. we would see the price drive all the way down to 0 before it dies. plenty of time to cash out.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: August 08, 2016, 12:06:50 AM
The reality is that it did nothing if not just made it worst! Angry
i dont think it made it worse. Halfing strengthened the price imo. Before halfing, the bitfinex hack would have probably decimated the btc price. but we're still strong at ~$590.
183  Economy / Speculation / Re: The panic dump is on! on: August 07, 2016, 06:27:20 PM

I don't understand one thing, if there is a big dump, which means massive selling of coins, doesn't that means also that someone is buying those coins?

Why price is falling, when there is many people who buy and sell coins, many transactions. Why price doesn't go up?
ok lets say we have a small market of 10 people. lets assume its balanced so theres 5 people selling btc and theres 5people buying btc. but if the 5 people start selling more than what the 5 can buy, theres a surplus of bitcoins. so what do the 5 people do? they lower their prices so their bitcoins get bought first. and the market will keep forcing a low price, untill there are more buy offers than sell offers. at that point people will put up buy offers for  higher price so they get the first buy.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: The panic dump is on! on: August 07, 2016, 06:24:09 PM
the dump already ended, right now the only way is going to be up i hope
people are about to withdraw their coins from bitfinex (or atleast whats left of their coins) and are planning on cashing out of bitcoin. also the fact that the hacker may not have sold the bitcoins and is planning on selling soon can cause price drops.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: August 07, 2016, 06:20:52 PM
Easy. Find another addictive habit which cause no or so little harm than gambling.

You can trade money instead of gambling. Study usd/gold, gbp/usd or eur/usd pairs for example. Make predictions and take positions. I am not talking about forex and levering systems. They suck and you will most likely lose there. What i am talking is simple trading. I would suggest bitcoin trading but i can't, because how can i suggest you something which i don't trust in the first place...
I like the idea of finding another thing to keep you busy instead of gambling, but I dont think trading with bitcoins would help. I suggest doing something other than bitcoin that keeps your mind off of the btc aspect. because in trading youll always be infront of btc and be wondering " Would'nt I make way more btc if i just played a game of blackjack?".
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loopholes on: August 07, 2016, 06:18:11 PM
Is there any loophole in gambling, it could be sport betting, casino etc, any idea?
think about it, if there was a loophole to somehow always win at casinos. then the casino wouldnt be making much money. and after they notice that they arent making enough money they would find the loophole.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: August 07, 2016, 05:35:20 PM
Hello guys I am addicted to gambling. How can I quit this?
make a paper wallet and throw all your bitcoins into it. and make sure u cant access it by giving it to a family member to hold or something. and to cope with no bitcoins, just pretend you lost them all in gambling and now you dont have anything.
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: August 07, 2016, 05:32:54 PM

189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite game (gambling) on: August 07, 2016, 03:43:37 PM
I really like poker from betcoin. mainly because it involves skill with a little bit of blind luck. im not in favor of games that are 100% blind luck. I also enjoy playing blackjack but I would much rather play poker.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: August 07, 2016, 03:40:59 PM
its because once someone wins really big at a gamble, they start to think that they're always going to end up winning big. That rush you get when you win big gets you addicted to gambling. thats why i never win  Cry

192  Economy / Securities / Re: Bitcoin investing? on: August 07, 2016, 02:23:00 AM
Hi
I have some Bitcoin, is there any LEGIT website where if i invest into it, i will get some profit in return? not talking about "trading" like 365 trading ecc.. not interested into any brokers website etc, just a proper way of investing? must be legit.
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
well today i read about this new exchange liqui.io that uses the trading fees to pay users interest rate if they keep money on the exchange. i suggest u keep a low amount though to be safe.
193  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC GIVEAWAY! From your friend rekcahxfb on: August 04, 2016, 09:47:07 PM

Look at the god damn bitcoin address you are paying too you idiot morons! Roll Eyes

1FvCk1jTsy7AvmnpeKnrfHSJnfX7om7fNM  Tongue

He already has No. Transactions   206

Total Received   0.2283987 BTC

and counting every 30 seconds.

Looks like this is the new ponzi scheme scam that is taking the rounds.

Alot of fools out there who just want to throw their btc the way to the scammers!
What a STUPID WORLD WE ALL LIVE IN! Cry
what doesnt make sense to me is why he would be going through all this trouble to scam a fraction of 1 btc if he has already proved he owns 1000+btc. usually i say things like if its too good to be true then it probably is. But this case has me stumped.

196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Valuable Right Now? on: August 02, 2016, 09:54:51 PM
You can buy pretty much anything with bitcoin these days. me personally, i like to save up my bitcoins. i dont really spend much of my coins, 90% of my coins are in a paper wallet.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or a gold bar with the same value? on: August 02, 2016, 09:20:46 PM
it depends on what you want to invest in lol. bitcoin to me is more of like a relatively short term investment whereas gold is a long term investment.
the gold prices stay extremely stable compared to bitcoin. so if you are not a risk taker you would choose gold.
me personally would choose bitcoin because the price just crashed a bit over the last couple of days and i expect it to go back up.
198  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase now supports Etherium; Is this a threat to Bitcoin dominance on: July 30, 2016, 10:41:44 PM
i think of ethereum as like free advertising for cryptocurrencies. If it brings people to try out cryptocurrencies like eth and etc, maybe they will also give bitcoin a shot. I dont see it as a threat.
199  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: July 30, 2016, 03:48:33 PM
So what percentage of your total monetary and financial investments are in Bitcoin?

What do you think is a smart balance to have?
I think I have invested as much as 50% in bitcoin. total money I've very much and I think the investment in bitcoin is safe enough to do. I will add more of my investment here.
Dang, 50% doesnt seem high to you?. half of your assets tied up in a currency as volatile as bitcoin is pretty risky. personally i only keep around 15% in btc.
200  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: July 30, 2016, 03:39:34 PM
Someday I will, but not so soon I think.

Yeah, that's very true. The bitcoin will certainly become a necessity for all, especially in terms of providing salary. because the bitcoin much easier, simple, practical, and inexpensive. It is a plus that is quite good compared to using a bank.
in some ways yes it is better than banks. but what banks give you is a specific worth of your assets like for example say you have exactly $1000 usd in your bank account, but with bitcoin that net worth changes alot depending on the exchange rate.
