Great, hope to see NXT on there soon.

This thread seems like a sensible question has been asked.....
but it's being answered by a bunch of old ladies beating each other with handbags.
Hahaha well said. I keep asking myself "why PoW" more everyday, and it's worth a reasonable discussion.

It's quite interesting to see how NEM is evolving and the whole altcoin landscape along with it.
Would love to be able to use a time machine and see how things would look like at christmas.
Oh man I can't wait, NEM has been making waves, to say the least!

Yep, I have done it since then, actually twice now. (But second time was somewhat recent).

My Node account is 17780801381767481802 - which is currently working but seems to be absent from the stakeholder list, even though my name is on the list. I pointed this out months ago but nobody had updated it with an account number.
So how does this stakeholder list work? The highlighted names are socks?
I'm in the same boat as you. Not sure who to contact but I have PM'd a few people. My account is: 6605087677329152093

I think it's a good idea, but the IPO is ridiculous and should raise some greed flags. ... And who knows when/if that will happen...
As proposed on the main thread we have a plan to restrict funding. It's worth noting that even if the distribution of coins is not a significant economic benefit the Swarm coin has other associated benefits. Since these are all fairly new things it is tricky to fit them into a spreadsheet. Great idea giving us the option to vote on it, thanks! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Oh look. Another "these are the coins I own so I must hype them as revolutionary and recover my losses" thread ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Lol These are not coins I own. These are coins that have ACTUAL goals, instead of just small changes. These are coins that are based on Sports, Regions and Change. Instead of just coins that are meant to move the altcoin community around, they are coins that can BRING NEW PEOPLE to the crypto world. Oh... you mean fads, scams/p&d and over ambitious unreachable goals? Sorry OP but I have to agree, these seem like they were picked out of a hat. For example: Independence Coin? Really? That coin has had no activity for months! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527061.0

Ya I stopped the altcoin game. Don't see the point in any of them. The only ones that may have some potential are 2.0 style coins.
I completely agree with this point.

Tried the one-click installer today...pretty nice ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) stay tuned ! I will stay tuned! Hopefully this will cause more casual observers to try it out.

Looks like a legit site... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Not really. If they would be legit they would rate NEM as "strong buy" and LTC as "dump as fast you can". But they rated both as "hodl" I think he was making a joke.. But if his stats are right, he is getting a couple thousand page views a day

Over the period of time I have observed since all this started in januray, saying the launch would be in May, then In June, then in August and the last I heard in September, is it possible to give a fixed time and stick to it because if not people will start thinking this will be going on till next year, I know they are working hard and I don't mind waiting as long as they don't predict or assume when but be more realistic and stick to one date
I don't ever remember anyone in the team say may or June? Perhaps August but I don't think so? The launch date was never mentioned by anyone the team until recently, as with such a large project, there are too many unknowns to give an accurate date early on. I do recall August, but don't recall anything earlier than that though. Like kodtycoon mentioned, with such a large project, I don't see how they could give us an accurate date at this time. The only time I recall dates earlier than august are months back when this was going to be a clone of NXT.

If you want a simple option, just do it in browser. It only requires a nickname and channel, cant get much easier than that. http://webchat.freenode.net/?

Litecoin has been #2 for so long, it would be great to see something else like Nxt take its place. It would be a great triumph for a "2nd gen" crypto to edge it's way closer to Bitcoin.

Well i sincerely hope come NEM's release we'll have solid enough code and a good enough community to withstand any attacks.
I remember all too well the ordeal NXT had, as well as DGEX when it came to attacks not just in terms of FUD, but also in terms of network attacks, both ddos and other maliciousness against the currency.
If NEM causes a big enough stir, it's also going to get big enough attacks from those who deem it a threat to the current status quo of currencies.
This is why i'd like to see some big initiatives to help people set up clients on various platforms. I for one, will be getting a Rasberry Pi or two just in case.
I agree, luckily the client is already really easy to get working on a few types of devices, and it isn't even one click yet. I plan on getting a raspberry pi and maybe an android stick before launch.

Not to be overlooked, this could be extremely helpful for initial NEM adoption.

where can i find some info about the alpha? like opinion, comments etc... is there some site that collect them?
I'll work on getting something more consolidated today, and post the link here.
