Well that is a shame, looked like it had potential until releasing BTC shenanigans ... I am out..

Satoshi promised this 5 years ago It can be phased in, like:
if (blocknumber > 115000) maxblocksize = largerlimit
It can start being in versions way ahead, so by the time it reaches that block number and goes into effect, the older versions that don't have it are already obsolete.
When we're near the cutoff block number, I can put an alert to old versions to make sure they know they have to upgrade.
Thanks that is the one I was thinking off and there is another one where he discussed it IIRC..

and why satoshi didn't think about this? i predicted the increase in adoption for sure, because he predicted big farm, he should have created big blocks since the beginning, at least now with don't need any fork
Bitcoin never had a block size limit originally ... it was added for DOS protection and satoshi himself said it would/could/should be upgraded in the future as needed .. (don't ask me for the post but I am sure someone else can pinpoint it)

BTW i know the wallet problem is most probably 99% certain on my side, because no one else is complaining of this problem, only looking for a tip or a suggestion? have done rewindchain, re-downloaded, checked firewalls, and the last wallet a few weeks ago was working fine and then it just stopped, im lost, my computer must be retarded.
Why don't you grab the blockchain.zip and extract it into the ShadowCoin data directory ... That wil give you a clean blockchain and have you back in action in minutes. ok i will try that, but just in case, am i correct to say my coins will be fine if i don't get it synced until after the hard fork? because if they will be fine, i will do that thing tomorrow cause im tired. just want to double check they are safe as long as i don't try to send them or anything, right? Yes of course ... they are safe and will be usable again once you are on the latest wallet.

About time! Anyone whining about this need to get their marbles examined.
The blockchain size is already turning into a serious problem... Don't speak with such a vicious tone when you don't know what you are talking about. What is a serious problem already? The one who does not know what he/she is talking about is you .... Blind following the blind going on!

Good progress is being made on the Shadow Marketplace. Our developers expect to pick up speed now that all the necessary updates have been made to ShadowCore and a date has been scheduled for the PoS v2 hard fork. We will be working on upgrading ShadowChat for secure messaging, which will be the backbone of the whole market place, using BIP32 addresses for category trees. After that we will be working on anonymous mutltisig transactions.
Hi, are the multisig transactions used for preventing buyers and sellers from getting scammed somehow? If so, how does that work? Its two fold 1. adding multisig to shadow (SDT) transactions, atm only SDC is supported and 2. adding multisig support for both SDC and SDT to ShadowMarket. In reference to the market element; there has been much conversation about what is a fair way to both protect the buyer and seller. At the moment my personal preference is John Nash's concept of 'Mutually Assured Destruction'.

Thanks for the update but it is crashing for me. It opens and then says "loading blockchain" and then stops there with an "application not responding" issue. I'm on OSX 10.9.5. Any suggestions? Nevermind. Got it working after starting from scratch. Guess I have to re-download the blockchain? As per the release notes going from previous version to 1.3.2.2 does component upgrades that can take anywhere from 5-30mins depending on your PC... You should have just been a little patient .. never mind you are up now anyway

HD wallets do not really have much of an effect on the received address count as most people will reuse the same address. It's the outgoing transactions that will get a new change address each time but none-HD wallets do that anyway.
I think your misunderstanding HD wallets.
Honestly I still don't get it myself. What I would like is to have an address to receive payments (for example, from a job, signature campaign, whatever) that generates new addresses automatically so it's more private. I don't know if this makes sense. Like, giving away a fixed address, but once people pay to that address, i get the coins in through new addresses so it doesn't show up on the blockchain the address i gave publicly. Hope this makes any sense. This is referred to as a "stealth address" ... Not currently supported in bitcoin but if your interested to know more see my sig as it's fully supported in that crypto currency.

Update: Thursday, 30 April 2015 New ShadowCore Client Now Available For Download! The testing / fixing phase for PoSv2 has been successfully completed. PoSv2 will give the Shadow network extra security over the longer term as no one will be able to save up enough coinage in order to over-power the network. Although a 51% attack has not been successful on any PoS v1 coin, we opted to upgrade to eliminate theoretical attack vectors before moving on to our next objectives. We’ve also merged in the latest BC codebase and all the code we wanted from the bitcoin codebase, so we are officially up-to-date. ShadowMarket will be using BIP32 keys for the market categories, so we are moving ahead with the HD wallet development. This will allow us to have tree level categories in messages, so people could subscribe/publish to certain categories. With this release, we’ve generated the BIP32 prefixes, which will be published as soon as we have a working HD wallet. This is a big step towards the development of the marketplace. Get Ready For POS V2!ShadowCash will be forking on May 6th to switch to PoS v2. This is a mandatory update, please update as soon as possible! We would like to thank all participants that helped us during the testing phase, we look forward to hearing about your first experiences. The mac build will be released later this week, as soon as I have access to my mac. I'm currently in the process of moving house, so my mac is in storage. The Shadow Team Rynomster (lead developer)

Loaded the new wallet, nice and smooth. It's staking, and not noticeably different from the last one.
As I know, the main difference is about the staking. Before, we don't needed to have the wallet open to stake. You had just to open it sometimes and get the stakes you deserve depending on your holding. With PoS v2, you can't do it anymore. If the wallet is not open, no stakings. Correct me if i'm wrong. About the algo, did it changed to SHA256 with this new release? Correct ... however this happens at the hard fork ... until then its still PoS+Scrypt.

1.3.2 wallet isn't fully launched yet if I'm correct, did you tried to update from git? so will there be another wallet coming out? You should be upgrading to 1.3.2.2

As always, remember to take a backup of your wallet.dat You should send an email to the exchanges and remind them too. Quite a lot of people have their coins there Good point brains! Have been notified but no harm if more people give them a *nudge*

All links will update over the course of the day as different websites are maintained by different people i.e. aboutshadow is by a community member etc... The links posted are official ... In reference to "Tried to update, didn't go" ... we need more information to provide assistance than that EDIT : Please remember as part of the upgrade to 1.3.2.2 your wallet will upgrade core components and also run a block chain reindex. This can take anywhere from 5mins to 30mins depending on the speed of your computer. EDIT : Release Notes still apply if your upgrading from versions prior to 1.3.2.x The TXDB version has been raised to 70510. On first boot the nodes will wipe any database before 70509 and initialise a reindex, which will reload the TXDB from the stored blockchain. For Databases of verson 70509 an migration will run, significantly faster than a reindex. All existing nodes should be on txdb version 70509. Thin nodes don't store the blockchain and will need to redownload. Note: Reindexing the chain could cause your failed stake transactions to be detected as occuring during the reindex, and displayed at the top of the transaction list. They can be removed by running clearwallettransactions followed by reloadanondata.

At this moment, already more than 2000 SDC has been donated into a donation address. When our Thunderclap message is blasted out we will pick 5 winners from the list of supporters. These winners will all receive a 20% share of the total amount that is on the wallet at that time. This means that everybody who wants to support the campaign can contribute by sending new donations to the wallet makings things more interesting for all supporters.
