181  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: October 06, 2018, 10:19:09 AM
It is interesting to know who actually posts these nonsense posts. If the bounty managers simply want to promote their post by allowing shitposting, you cannot do anything about it. I mean even if you remove the post, the topic moves to the top of the thread anyway right?

If you are referring to bumping your thread with never ending spam, this is forbidden and a lot of threads are deleted because of this rule.

Altcoin threads that are self-moderated are a recipe for disaster.  Any criticism that someone points out flaws or accusations of being a scam will be immediately deleted.  I actually think certain boards shouldn't have a self moderated option because it limits free speech.

It seem that non moderated ANNs is better choice since then the option of scam acquisitions cant be deleted and then mods can see if the thread is bumped with non allowed techniques
182  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: October 05, 2018, 10:18:25 AM
Bounty managers should really implement their campaign with google form as an alternative for reporting in the bounty threads. This way they could help the forum from all the bounty reports posts made everyday from the bounties sections.

This should be a rule in my opinion , this would be positive in several ways:
1) Keep the thread clean so that actual discussion could take place in the thread.
2)  Bots who are posting reports months after bounty have ended mos likely wont be there.

But this requires some level of google sheet skill, possibly some of the bounty managers do not have that :/
183  Other / Meta / Re: Copper member statistics on: October 05, 2018, 10:11:29 AM
In my post I just want to show that not every copper member pays for membership just to make bounty, but I still think that this is the main reason for majority of them.

I think that most of them pay for this because they want to  post ANN or BOUNTY thread with pictures.
But as this thread shows Copper Member number is growing more rapidly after the the new rank requirement this means more Copper members are bounty hunters.
184  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Bitcointalk account security on: October 05, 2018, 10:04:33 AM
Also this applies to bounties who asks for registration to their websites, this could be attempt of stealing your details.
Honestly, I wouldn't trust half of them, and would be using a disposable email. But, that's just me.

I wouldn't also , if i have to I make new email to register with them.
I think that warning about this should be included in original post, since a lot of users do not know this or just haven't thought about this problem.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: September 27, 2018, 12:54:14 PM
I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.

Lol, this OP could have had a big party if he invested at the time .
Did he?

On the other hand right now ,we are living in different times, we have reached the end of ICO bubble, few projects will survive and few coins will thrive in future.
Therefore this is a tricky time for investing but that does not mean that there is no way to make money.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency; The future, glory now or later? on: September 27, 2018, 12:51:08 PM
Lately several critics have had so much to say about what they think cryptocurrency is. Many said the best about this innovation have been seen already, and that all we can wait to see is degeneration and probable final extinction. But for me, I think we have not even seen any glorious day(s) I believe they are still very much ahead.

My take, what do all think?

The innovation will continue and the evolution with it , we are in slump because of hype and scam ICOs not because the tech is maxed out. To think that that there is no room for innovation is just plain stupid.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP beat ETH on: September 27, 2018, 12:49:10 PM
This is was surprise that it briefly overtook eth but ETH is ont strong lately and wont be. There is no-reason to be, ETH is pumped by ICOs , ICOs are going down hard nowadays, small amounts are raised, investors have been burned several times thus ETH doe snot have bright future.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strict rules in Bounties, is it needed? on: September 26, 2018, 10:53:41 AM
This " bounties are requesting for authentication post" is not a strict rule Cheesy

I am seeing more and more bounties which are asking for limitation of post day by day.
To be honest i dont see the point of this, only that if all the participants would post at the same say,it would hurt.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: September 26, 2018, 10:47:25 AM
That was the collapse of ETH, because most of the airdrop and bounty programs were through the ERC-20 platform. Do you think the same thing happened?
Lol, what are you even asking.
it is clear that you dont like that eth is dropping since all the tokens are dropping with it.

ETH dump happened because ICO projects got cold feet and sold out.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Awarding merits in bitcointalk. on: September 25, 2018, 05:18:19 PM
Please I can't find any near discussions on bitcointalk merit, so I decided to ask.
Please what's the criteria for being awarded with merits here?
Also, do the merits come only from founders and moderators, or from members too?

There are ton of threads about merit in meta section
LINK: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Merits are given from members with variety of positions, you should concentrate to writing quality content then you will eventually get awarded with merits.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to check the BOUNTY program is scam on: September 25, 2018, 05:09:09 PM
Hello guys, i'll give u tips for check if the bounty project is scam before u join it
this is not 100% right

1. No whitepaper on that project
2. Website with free domain [example .fa/.ga/ml]
3. Social media not real ( twitter only retweet other  member twitter post)
4. Reward too big ( example :1500$ / week  on social media )program
5. Reply on project only under 100 or 50

2,3,4 is a definitely big RED flags.
-Also social media which is not active at all is red flag.
-If you cant find the company in the registry of the according country.
-The business model" buy or tokens, we will give you some profit each month"
-The neglect of KYC.
-Asking for KYC from bounty hunter without legit KYC company.
192  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is the most superior science? on: September 25, 2018, 04:59:21 PM
Political science, especially with regard to evolution.
Political sciences is the superior?

IN my mind political sciences is one of the most useless , politics often show the worst of human behavior and lies in most cases are considered as normal in this field.
How does it go together with evolution even  Grin Grin, thats biology.
But physics uses math, which has been proven to be a language that doesn't properly fit the universe. So physics is more retarded.

How it is proven to not fit universe properly?

1. Physics, this is the key to modern human understanding of the universe, including gravity, relativity, parallel universe, etc.
2. Biology, this is a kind of knowledge that allows humans to understand themselves. It can make us live more qualitatively, it including evolution, genetics, and even derivative medicine.
3. Chemistry, ...

All of these sciences have born from humans nature, of our desire to learn and understand the universe. Which is a psychological property , thus I still stand with opinion " Pshylogy is the superior science" .
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Exchange with lowest fees on: September 24, 2018, 09:55:32 PM
I just went trough exchanges since i was looking for the best option to trade small amounts of ETH/BTC and withdraw ,  some exchanges charge way too much for withdrawal.
I dont think that a constant fee of 7 $ for any amount of withdrawal of ETH is normal situation, they are not doing any service that is worth this amount even more if they charge trading fee. I found that the best way is Binance the withdrawal fees are rational.

Also regarding exchanges i want to add that HitBtc is annoying with their trading limitation like BTC is tradable only with iteration of 0,01 , this very annoying and very irrational .
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Alternative To Coinmarketcap on: September 24, 2018, 09:37:11 PM
In most cases i use CMC because  i have gotten used to it, but lately is lagging and this makes me go to alternative which i found a while back- https://www.coingecko.com
I like it also because there is more coins than in CMC , only thing that throws me off is that volume often differs by few billion, i would like to understand where from this difference comes.
195  Other / Politics & Society / Which is the most superior science? on: September 24, 2018, 09:31:11 PM
While studying exact Sciences i often heard people arguing which of these two - Mathematics/Physics are the superior .

Few of the arguments:
Mathematicians say that Math is far more important since they describe a lot things and processes in this world.
Physicists say that physics are more important and mathematics are just as language that they use.

Your answer should not be limited only to these 2 sciences.

My personal view is that neither of these sciences are the superior, I think that the superior one is psychology.
Why? Because we live in society of humans, and every single thing in our world is controlled by your psychology it can be  consciousness or sub consciousness.
Wars, greed, desire to win, desire to lose, desire to reproduce.

What is you toughs?

196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged? on: September 21, 2018, 07:08:17 AM
I see and observe recently that many ICOs are below the ICO price when they touch the exchange. Do you think it's a smart step to wait for an exchange and buy the tokens you want?

Yes, 99% of time it is true. People who buy in the end of the token sale are the most unlucky and also uneducated on how ICOs work in general .
We all know that bounty hunters dump their tokens as soon as they hit exchange but these unlucky investors do not know that.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC on ETF on: September 21, 2018, 07:06:12 AM
Not a surprise, noone is expecting BTC ETF to be approved any time soon and the underlying reasoning has been discussed over and over again.
As you can see the market did not even react to this, this means that the whole market does not care.
198  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: September 20, 2018, 09:49:51 PM

Actually guns and drugs have some remarkable psychological similarities.  A lot of people are 'gun nuts' who derive a good deal of pleasure out of owning, collecting, and shooting their guns.  It seems to give them an adrenalin rush.  More power to them as far as I'm concerned.  Almost zero lawful gun owners are a threat to me, and the fact that 75% of the households in my area own firearms for home defense is a giant benefit to me.

Where is this remarkable psychological similarity? Adrenaline junky? That is not a similarity and nor it is remarkable or even related to people using drugs for variety of reasons.

Vastly more people feel vulnerable and feel a lot more security knowing that they can defend themselves against the threats that are out there.  Older people and females who are by nature more weak than most of their attackers are especially prone to feel this sense of security, and with good reason.  It takes a special kind of dirtbag to want to deprive a person of this sense of security and leave them to the tender mercy of the local rapists and/or meth-heads.

The only valid excuse for people to have guns for protection is to protect them self's from the same level of threat- guns.   You are painting a picture of America which is full off meth-heads and rapists, not only they are so many that everyone has to be armed to the teeth, but also they seem to be are armed with guns, so that all citizens have only one way to protect them from armed meth-head rapists - guns.

I feel aligned with the founding fathers and their concepts of 'freedom.'  And they did make it the 2nd amendment after all.  If that makes us 'sick', then so be it.  A lot of people in a lot of countries have derived inspiration from our brand of 'freedom' over the last several centuries...and a lot of political leaderships have worked hard to undo some of 'damage.'

You are choosing to interpret freedom with guns and no countries are inspired by US gun laws so dont mix them together and make a abusrd argument about other countries supporting your supreme definition of freedom.

If you _really_ want the low hanging fruit in so far as protecting the kiddies, outlaw bicycles.  They are quite unnecessary and result in vastly more injury and death than do guns.  For an extra kick, throw in snowboards and similar demonstrably dangerous sports.  Maybe you should ask yourself why the gun-grabber propaganda doesn't ever mention this and why nobody has their panties in a bunch about it.  Hint:  it isn't about saftey for the plebs and the kiddies.  It's about something else entirely.

And you are giving me this shit, I will not even answer to this , it should be obvious how this is not an argument.

A metric ton of contraband is a metric ton of contraband.  One is not much more difficult to smuggle than then next.  People have a simplistic understanding of how 'smuggling' is typically accomplished and who the big players in the industry are.

Completely wrong. One kilogram of say cocaine gives you a profit in tens of thousands of dollars when you get it trough border, on other hand one kilogram of guns which is approximately 1 - 2 hand guns  gives you a 1000$  maybe. Guns are significantly harder to smuggle ,they are made form hard steal. Any xray machine will show them up immediately even if they are in container. Further, guns can t be smuggled trough airplanes, they will show up on x-ray and if on you on the metal detector. Furthermore guns are not dividable as drugs are, drugs cant be divided 1000 of times.
To sum up drugs are at least 10x times more lucrative to smuggle, they are a lot more compact , they are dividable and harder to detect.

I've no interest whatsoever in the U.S. becoming anything like Europe in any way.  It is the last 1/4 of a turd disappearing down the toilet as far as I'm concerned.  In engineering a 'backup option' for my own ass, the thought of setting up shop in any part of the EU never even crossed my mind.

If you have nationalism in mind in this discussion then you should not start it to begin with.
Do not think that Europeans have interest to go to US besides tourism , or for God Sake become like US , even more after your description of armed meth- head rapists wondering around and looking for granny's.

This discussion should also have pointed out the massive cooperation interest and influence in this matter, guns are a big business and cooperations will fight not to allow stricter gun laws even if the public wants it.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is the beginning of the 2019 altcoin'll be back? on: September 20, 2018, 10:57:33 AM
Right now the prices of all altcoin in very drastic, especially ETH, whether in 2019 it'll be back, or just keep it stable?
Give me your opinion.

I think that it would be unrealistic to wait for ETH to come back at the same levels as before , eth was fueled by ICOs and as we know , a ton of them were scams unfortunately.
I think that we will become stable regarding ETH price 200-300, if we dont have any major event as ETH ETF.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is IDEX? Transaction guide on IDEX.Market on: September 20, 2018, 10:49:26 AM
This could be useful for new comers , i remember that it was difficult to understand IDEX when i did my firsg txs there.

I suppose this should be moved to beginners and help section.

Thanks for share guide but I do not like this exchange, require minium trade amount too big. This exchange born to dump coin by bounty hunter.

Actually not so much, there are some coins with decent volume.
Dont forget about etherdelta and forkdelta, it seems that there is more dumping going on. Since they are more decentralized.
