181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Binance have been compromised. on: May 09, 2019, 02:02:42 PM
Even though they had been compromised the users, did you know that the funds of the users are safe? So you got nothing to worry about the exchange.

Next time the SAFU fund will not be enough  Wink
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / After Binance have been compromised. on: May 09, 2019, 01:03:25 PM
And now what is your opinion about decentralized exchanges after this event? I think people will finally consider the DEXes more seriously.  Smiley
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance hacked. How can this affect altcoin market? on: May 09, 2019, 12:52:26 PM
Why are you making a big deal out of binance hack? The 7000 bitcoin stolen will never have any negative impact on altcoin market or even bitcoin itself ,binance is no small exchange

You should no thinking like that. If binance got hacked, what we should worry is the security on exchangers. Binance must be always improve the security and i think if binance could breached, this should impact to others exchangers or crypto security.

Here comes the role of decentralized exchanges  Smiley

It was about time Binance to be hacked... perhaps now people will finally consider the DEXes  more seriously.... because next time the SAFU fund will not be enough. Smiley

The trust of traders in one of the exchanges is the convenience of making transactions. The site does not often cause problems or trouble, because it will make the traders saturated and upset. I often experience that. It would be more if the exchange uses Know Your Customer (KYC) because that would make it more sterile and not misused. Please correct my opinion.

We are a decentralized exchange, it is all about security and transparency! If we put KYC there will be the same security, but less privacy. If there is KYC that means having to disclose your activities to the authorities, or risk having your identity stolen.

For information about how ads work here on Bitcointalk, check this out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5137422.0

So? I don't see any information here? What is the first number and "@"? The last number I guess is the BTC you give for the ad?

What do you mean "I don't see any information here"? Maybe read the actual topic by Theymos first, rather than reading the replies. And yes, it's an auction.

Sorry for misunderstanding Smiley

Guys, do you have any suggestion about how one exchange can gain trust into traders. It will be appreciated!

And do you know any crypto communities for Ethereum, exchanges, blockchain where I can talk more about our decentralized platform

--> https://weidex.market/   Smiley
The only suggestion is that let your work, your push and dedication speak for you, it is not really easy to gain the trust of users, especially in a market where we have so many other companies doing the same thing, but you can still make your own way, the market is too big for everyone to make it in their own space.

So if you want to gain my trust, you must first have a very good platform interface, your site must be very users friendly, you should be able to offer me lots of bonuses and discounts on my trade, your site must be highly secured to protect my investment or trade, and finally you should try and have volume on your exchange overtime that will keep your project running.

We don't have high volume, but we keep on trying give new traders the very best. Thanks for your comprehensive answer!

We also have referral system (20% of your referee's trading fees).

how is it that you have a decentralized platform but still you are receiving fees from the user's trades? i can't make sense of how that works in a "decentralized" design. i would appreciate it if you explained it here.
Yes there is logic in the smart contract and on every trade, part of the fees are going to given Ethereum address.
The taxes are transparent and fixed, so no one could manipulate or deceive the traders.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Communities on: May 03, 2019, 01:50:48 PM
This forum itself is the largest community to talk about ethereum, exchanges and dexes so if you are serious about anything you should post and discuss to get answers here and also posting links will not help as it is usually considered as spam. Regarding trusted exchanges just check top 10 to 20 exchanges on cmc and you will find the best exchanges.

Appreciate your opinion. I'm not going to spam the link everywhere is just that this topic has a place to put it in. Anyway, I see your point of view and this is what we do, making discussions and eventually get feedback. We have what to offer to people, we just need to go above the water with some active traders who will make the first step and trust us.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Communities on: May 03, 2019, 01:38:01 PM
I am trading only several exchanges that I select very carefully. First of all, I need a big amount of trading pairs, secondly I need to know that this exchange is actively working on security improvements. The last but not least, I want to see great trading volumes.

Yeah but the main problem about great trading volumes is that first there should be traders. So this is what we strive for now. Exchange is ON, traders is what we look for to try our platform, tell us what they like and what they don't. Every opinion will be appreciated! We just getting started.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Communities on: May 03, 2019, 01:34:57 PM
Trust is earned and it needed time.
So if a new exchange wants to gain user trust, they must have some sort of accountability and again it takes times to prove it.

but if some exchange wants to get noticed, be different and needed by people using it. Offer something new and benefit the user.
Takes a looks at binance for example, they enter the market at the right time, before a bull run and we at the time in a phase of ICO mania. They offer a referral which many influencer begin to promote their exchange, also many people want to trade over there because they listed a hot new ICO, unlike their counterpart, poloniex and bittrex who takes a conservative approach on listing policy, don't forget a problem with their withdrawal. People just want to exit that legacy exchange.

Okay bud, I got your point of view. But firstly, we are DEX, not CEX like Binance for example and secondly we as a decentralized exchange offer much more security like fully transparent, the user has full control of their assets, also no user information or details is required and there are no sign up restrictions for new users. We also have referral system (20% of your referee's trading fees). If you go and check out our platform be kind to give a feedback what you like and what you don't, what more can we offer to people.  Thanks in advance Smiley

Do you go and give a chance on new exchanges or you stick on the same for a long time?
If not why ? Smiley
There are advantages and disadvantages of popping new exchanges in crypto.

I can say the advantage is the adoption of crypto will increase because people will have more choices where they can buy crypto, then those exchange will do their best to be popular, they will do advertisements and their main target will be the people that are starting in crypto, it's positive for adoption.
The disadvantage will be a different crime will happen in cryptos, such as fraud or the exchange will become a scam, or getting hacked. That's the negative side for me if we have a lot of exchanges.

We are decentralized exchange, so the users have full control over their assets, no user information is required, no new user sign up restrictions and it is fully transparent.

Do you believe in the crypto startups? As a member of a startup exchange I want to ask you:

Do you go and give a chance on new exchanges or you stick on the same for a long time?

I only give new exchanges  a chance if they list a coin that I don't find in any exchange. I remember owning raiblocks(which is now nano) and only  bitgrail is the only exchange that list that coin so I often used it. I believe that is the right strategy for a startup exchange to start getting traders/users and be known which is to find a golden gem and list it when nobody still knows about its real value.

I see your point of view. But it is very hard to find traders who give a chance because most of the traders nowadays are sceptical about new exchanges like our weidex platform even though we can offer them more benefits than other exchanges.

Why not if they are showing good intentions and even have that transparency in terms of liquidity and volumes.
Crypto community are still welcoming new exchanges, this is also a way to have other options and may this new things around will serve better than of the old ones. But of course, it needs more screening and takes a while to prove that you can be trusted.

Agreed with you! We are that time on building trust in people.

Most of startup projects are still unclear, whether they are legit or not.
But if they already have a working products like exchange platform, then we can give a shot on it.
Who knows they will keep developing, and we will become the early supporters who will get the decent reward from it.  Cool

Fair enough. Check out for us -> weidex.market

For me crypto-currencies are start-us! After how long one company stops to be start-up? After its fully
developed or after 5 or 10 years?
I believe in new exchanges. Questions is why you didn`t, as a member of that exchange, made an
official ANN thread. I think marketing is what you need to pay attention, promotion of your exchange
and all the things you offer must exist!

Firstly, thanks for the motivation! Secondly, we are doing our best to promote our exchange because we are motivated and strive for more and to help people. We have something to give to people and we believe DEXs are better in every point of view than CEXs. Yeah they have lack of speed etc. but I think this will change soon.

So the name of youre exchange is weidex? Actually depends on youre platform if you have a good offer for the clients or traders they can use and probably more users will come to you. Take a look on bitmax, they are actually a new exchange compared to previous and existing one, but they handle to become one of the top liquidity exchange for a short period of time. The key here is the platform use case and what you can give the users benefit compared to other old exchanges.

Yes, we are weiDex. Anyway Bitmax are CEX, we are DEX. As I see the trend very few people have the courage to make a change from CEX to DEX.
