181  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Old BFL 60GH/Singles What to do? on: March 26, 2015, 07:51:53 PM
DO as I do with old hardware I still even using my usb asics. Just use them for when new coins come along mine them for a few days then stop using as diff spikes up on them. Mining days are over with the old 60GH units but still can be useful for a few days mining to get some new cryptos before hitting markets.
Yeah I agree with this. Do it for the fun of it and not exactly the profit. You never know one day the coin may be worth something.
182  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain tech support and warranty on: March 26, 2015, 07:50:51 PM
I have never personally had a problem with their support. Although everything can always be improved Smiley
183  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: As of the latest diff change.... WHERE DID ALL THE HASHRATE COME FROM?!?!?! on: March 26, 2015, 06:57:10 PM
I don't think that it is one farm, or all bitmain. I can't imagine 33ph being produced and sold.
184  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Old BFL 60GH/Singles What to do? on: March 26, 2015, 06:55:58 PM
You should either mine with them, keep them on the shelf, or sell them. I would not scrap them. Although there are many around it would be a shame. I had wanted one of those since they came out. I remember the 5 GH at the time that I saw it would have mad $15, and that was when btc's were $120.
185  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: antminer s6 4500gh/s 1000watts on: March 26, 2015, 04:54:53 PM
For those of you wondering how to get 240 volt circuits in your home and you do not have room in your main panel; here is a consideration [My Main Panel is not like this anymore.  It looks like the one below]:

My Main actually looks like this now:

To power this [Don't mind the black paint on the wall and don't mind the orange wire.  It's an additional 10/2 to provide another 30 amp circuit going in the moment some S5's arrive]:

Isn't that really unsafe if you do a bad wiring job?
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Deep Web Drug Market Disappeared Overnight, $12 Million in Bitcoin Missing on: March 22, 2015, 05:20:11 PM
I'm surprised no one saw this coming. It was the perfect plan for the admins. The criminals can not report their losses to law enforcement or else they would get in trouble for selling drugs, and the admins are running a website for criminals.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: One-world reserve currency inevitable and will enslave all nations? on: March 19, 2015, 07:31:47 PM
I really don't think a one world currency will happen anytime soon.  Who would regulate it?  How would it be backed up?
188  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: March 19, 2015, 07:30:00 PM
Not anytime soon.  I dont see it going over $500 unless something really big happens worth bitcoins.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 19, 2015, 07:28:41 PM
I would put the money in gold.  Government regulation may happen.  Also technically btc could disappear overnight.  Gold will not.
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: The REAL All In Moment is Today on: March 19, 2015, 07:27:07 PM
I hope the price will rise, although I have learned to not expect it to.  Hopefully it will though.
191  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners on gas or exercise? on: March 19, 2015, 04:48:04 PM
A generator is not really made to run 24/7 they are made for when the power goes out you have a backup. I think the generator would die out quickly if being used at full all the time.
192  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Quantum computing on: March 19, 2015, 04:46:06 PM
I think quantum computing would be a game changer once it became readily available. I dont think it would change the mining game overnight.
193  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: antminer s6 4500gh/s 1000watts on: March 19, 2015, 04:44:25 PM
If that would actually be the specs I feel like a lot more people would purchase a miner. However I do not see that happening.
194  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Looking to get started with mining what to buy? on: March 19, 2015, 04:43:12 PM
You should either get a S5, or a SP20e. Your best bet though would probably be to buy btc's and trade them outright and try to make a profit.
195  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Increasing Zero towards unreachable difficulty ? on: March 19, 2015, 01:08:27 AM
It would have to be decreased slowly with large farms shutting down, then in a matter of seconds the blocks would be mined up when it is close to 0.
196  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: solo mining with 70 - 100 ths ? on: March 19, 2015, 01:07:17 AM
thanks for your recommendations Wink
If you are willing to gamble and maybe not turn a profit then you can solo mine Smiley
197  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: March 19, 2015, 01:05:54 AM
The difficulty increase combined with the price drop has me turning off another batch of miners. How about you?

I turned off my mining rigs in december 2014. Now I only mine altcoins at launch, with cloud mining.

how has that worked for you?  Sometimes I think about giving it a go with alts, then I remember how I threw away .25 BTC worth of mining power back in 2014 for a day on some 21 coin and I could never sell it for anything worthwhile.
42 coin was another coin like that. They were trading for more than a btc, but there was one 42 of them.
198  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: starting a small farm, should I get s5? on: March 19, 2015, 01:04:40 AM
It may be cheaper for you to just buy some bitcoins straight with the money and take your chances of the price going up. The S5 however is a pretty good option for a miner.
199  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1x Zeus Lightning X6 & 2x AntMiner S3 on: March 15, 2015, 02:32:57 PM
1x Zeus Lightning X6 hashes at 50HM/s scrypt

2x AntMiner S3 hashes at 500GH/s each (~1TH/s total)

I also have one 1500W platinum PSU that I can include.

Will update with pictures ASAP.

No reasonable offer refused.  I'm moving a long distance and am afraid this stuff will get broken in the process.

I accept BTC, moneypak, western union, moneygram transfer and cash in mail.

Where are you located at?  Thanks
200  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 14, 2015, 09:54:23 PM
There's rumors that Marco has reduced the rates, but he didn't notify us in the OP.

Is that true?
I think he is still on a 10 day ban. Anyways he did lower the payment, and he said he will announce it when he gets back.
